For outdoor lovers, perfect getaway. Lots to do in the campground. You will need a golf cart (extra expense) to get around at your preferred time, as supposed to using bus transportation. Internet access is extra and not included in room rental. Tv did not work that great. Out of 50+ channels, only about 15 were working. Express checkout was great. Room service was sub-par; attendant did not return on scheduled time and therefore was not able to service our room (minor issue). Overall, better than average experience.

The setting of the log cabins in Fort Wilderness is fantastic, very quiet and peaceful surrounded by trees, it feels like you are really in the wilderness and yet you are so close to the theme parks. The kitchen is excellent, with a large fridge, oven and hob. Perfect if you want to cook your own evening meal for a change from 'theme park food'. The resort is huge so the only downside is that you have to catch a bus to get around the resort, including to get to the swimming pool unless you are lucky enough to be in a cabin close to one of the two pools.

I was saddened to find that the cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness have not changed since I was last there 20 years ago. From the aging units complete with tube televisions with no reception, warped decks that are falling apart, to the bugs in your room to the entry door not working and being locked out of our room in the rain for 45 mins it was not the 'Magical' experience we had expected for the price. The customer service was nothing special and when there was an issue we were treated as though we should wait until they got around to helping us. It will be a while before I go back to Disneyworld and I will never stay at Fort Wilderness again.

Everything was pretty much as expected. We even got to checkin early (about 1:30p) and checkout a little late (about 12:30p) - which was a pleasant surprise. Fun place for kids. Cabin was well stocked/maintained and more than comfy and spacious. Onsite stores very pricey so try to bring groceries from outside if possible or have them delivered by garden grocer. Golf carts (for those without rental cars) are pretty much a necessity if you don't wanna wait for (the fairly frequent) buses all over the property but are pricey at about $65 per day (heck, a rental car is cheaper AND has airconditioning) but the fun factor for the kids is priceless (I guess). Absolutely don't miss the buffalo wings in the onsite bar/restaurant - way better than Hooter's. The electric light & fireworks show from the beach is an absolute MUST DO/SEE!!! Lot's more fun stuff here reasonably priced such as fishing, bike riding, boat rentals, smores with Chip n Dale (a must for little ones). Overall, a 3-4 star hotel but a 5 star fun experience.

We just stayed in one of Disney's Fort Wilderness cabins and my family, 2 adults 3 small kids, had a great time. The cabins offers a nice small kitchen that includes all utensils. The bedroom is a bit crowded but it does have a full size bed and a set of bunk beds. The family room with a Murphy bed was perfect. We BBQ'd for dinner and made breakfest in the morning and saved a ton of money doing so. We rented a golf cart $185.00 three days and it was worth it, this place is huge. Overall we had a great time and will be back.

Cabins are a little outdated but a great place for families to stay. They are kept very clean and just about anything you could need is there. Leave dirty dishes and unmade beds when you leave in the am and all is perfect when you return. However, if you do not like "critters" this is not the place for you. Many frogs and lizards! Bats and armadillos were also there, although rarely seen. We loved it and our kids loved catching frogs, toads and lizards daily. I will definitely stay again.

We love this place! The cabins give us a campground experience. Rented a golf cart during our stay and had fun riding around the grounds. Lots to do at the campground. Very comfortable and friendly environment. Kitchen has all the basics, but don't look for a corkscrew or tongs. My daughter loves the Murphy Bed. We've stayed here several times and will definitely go back.

We've stayed in these cabins several times and just love them. Plenty of room, full kitchen, outside deck w/picnic table and grill. Cabin is kitchen well stocked, but we don't cook big meals. Sleeps 6, so there are plenty of towels. The fun of camping without any of the inconvenience. We don't have small children but still enjoy the campground activities and swimming pools. We always rent a golf cart to get around the campground.

Já estivemos em Orlando em outros hotéis da cadeia Disney e este sem dúvida foi o que melhor preencheu nossas expectativas. O chalé é confortável e limpo, climatizado, com 2 camas de casal e 1 beliche, mesa de jantar/apoio que comporta até 6 pessoas, cozinha completa(geladeira, fogão, microondas, máq. de lavar louça e todos os utensílios de cozinha). Estacionamento na porta do chalé, restaurante com serviço de bufê e para viagem. Os chalés ficam no meio de um bosque belíssimo e silencioso. ideal para quem quer fugir de recepção de hotel, longos corredores, quartos apertados e elevadores. Parecia que estávamos morando em Orlando, pois tomávamos café "em casa", pegávamos o carro na porta e ao voltarmos podíamos fazer um último lanchinho antes de dormir. E o melhor, sem ver ninguém do hotel por perto... Excelente opção, vale o investimento.
