We felt like we were in Hawaii!! It smells like gardenias! So beautiful. And the staff is amazing! So friendly and helpful. The volcano waterslide pool is a blast. And there were always activities for the kids deck side. Like dancing or trivia games. Super fun!! The poolside bar has awesome piña coladas and mai tais. But the very best part was taking the boat to and from magic kingdom. Our stay at the Polynesian was wonderful!!

Most convenient location to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. The pool was great and provided many activities for my 3year old. Two draw backs...It is advisable to make restaurant reservations in advance. We could not get reservations at the two main restaurants when we walked up any of the days and we were there on not peak dates. Surprisingly, the television in the room was bad quality and one would think they would have the Disney Channels easily accessible.

Loved it. The rooms were recently renovated and were very nice. I loved the beach and the fact that you could get to the Magic Kindom by boat or monorail very easily. The staff was very friendly and always had an "aloha" for you. I would go back to the resort again and would recommend it to a friend.

We will book our next Disney trip at the Polynesian based on our stay on 2/12/13. The rooms are a bit older and the showers aren't exactly designed for taller people. It is a bit dark in the rooms but this is easy to get over. The service was great we had towel animals on our bed each morning from the cleaning staff. Anytime we called for anything they were there in minutes. The choices for dining is awesome and the proximity to the ferry and monorail sold us for future visits. The pool, beaches, and views are amazing. the campfire, outdoor movies, and light show in the lake sealed the deal for us. We will stay again for sure.

Most convenient access to all transportation available to any WDW parks. This is a monorail accessible hotel also with direct walking access to the transportation and ticket center and also the ferry launches directly from the resort.

Great location in Disney World with an excellent staff . The hotel is showing its age and despite the many ongoing and somewhat intrusive renovations, it's looking tired. Food and service at this resort were both excellent. I would recommend a more updated resort.

Loved it. Sure it was expensive, but you get what you pay for and there's no comparison to staying on a monorail stop vs. some random hotel off property that you have to get in a car and drive to the parks everyday. Great friendly staff, everything was easy, quick - and Disney magic hours were worth every penny of the trip.

Staying at any of the three hotels directly on the Disney monorail is phenomenal. We were able to go into and out of multiple parks per day. The rooms were also very spacious (much larger than I remembered from many years ago). We had two queen beds and a pull-out queen size bed, plus a desk and separate sitting chair and table. The bathrooms were also very spacious.

Our room was clean and felt pretty newish. The hotel is old (I think it might be the first Disney one) anyway, for being old, they have done a good job keeping it up along with the room. We had a theme park view which looked out over the 7 seas lagoon to the magic kingdom which was great. The food at the hotel is expensive and not the best, but no terrible by any means. We enjoyed our stay and may go back or possibly will try another Disney hotel off the monorail. We'll see...

Excellent vacation.

Room was very clean. Scenery was tropical and beautiful. Service was great.

Property and staff excellent hard to believe the hotel is 41 years old! Look forward to another trip to this Disney Iconic Resort...

Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Slightly messed up our booking so our two rooms were not close together on the first night. Everyone was very apologetic, they upgraded our room for rest of stay and moved us to rooms on the same corridor. Beds were exceptionally comfy. All staff very friendly. Lots of free entertainment for the kids. Movies on the beach every night and spectacular view of Disney fireworks. One of our best holidays ever! Lots of people come to the hotel in the evening to use the Ohana restaurant so need to book early if you want a sit down meal.

The room was clean and comfortable, the concierge helpful, the staff is great, the hotel is well located, monorail at the door... but 1) if someone gets sick, nothing serious, and you ask the concierge for help, they will give you a flyer of a medical center and probably you will spend lots and lots of hours there. In a place packed of tourist a good doctor would be good common sense. 2) if you need to print a single sheet of paper, the nice concierge will tell you to go next door, to the Floridian, where you can find a business center (but no nurse or doctor there too). They cannot print a single paper. 3) restaurants at the Polonisean seems to work on a book out base, meaning that is a win - lose situation (hotel profits and you don't eat, or take a cab and go to downtown disney or outside the park or order a pizza to your room). Bottom line: stay at the Floridian (comtemporary may be is a option too) if you need to print any last minute stuff and PLEASE be healthy. Getting sick may make you lose one precious day AND enjoy, because kids LOVE the parks.

The rooms are beautiful with big bathrooms and you can't beat the location. The resort is on the monorail line so you have easy access to other monorail resorts as well as Magic Kingdom and Epcot. You can even watch the Wishes fireworks from the beach at the resort or your room if your room faces the castle. Now the most important part is that you can get a Dolewhip whenever you want at Capt. Cook's since it's open 24 hours and definitely try the Tonga toast at Kona Cafe.

The grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately the service was poor. The resort is very spread out. When we called front desk to confirm our building location in the evening they said they did not know what building we were in, and then gave us the wrong one. It was very difficult to carry two exhausted children around in the wrong direction for 30 minutes after a long day and night at Disney. We called for extra pillows and blankets, they forgot the pillow. The woman in the reataurant Ohana was very rude. The front desk made an error with our keys and passes. After waiting to get into Hollywood Studios we were denied entrance. We then had to wait another 30 minutes in costumer service line to fix the resorts error. If they could improve the service it would be a lovely place to stay. With poor service I do not think it is worth the price.

Old, outdated and small given the steep price. Can't believe they can charge that much for a crappy room. One pool was closed down which made our time at the resort not as fun for the kids. Desperately needs an upgrade in order to justify the luxury price!

Very friendly staff. I would be hard pressed to find fault with the resort. As a side bar, it would be nice to have a full service pharmacy somewhere in the Disney World complex.

We had a great time. Good outdoor space for kids with a beach, pool with water slide, and free movies on the beach. The only thing I would recommend is to look at the layout of the buildings and rooms. We were in the one furthest from the main hotel and pool, wish we would have been closer.

Nice hotel, but definitely over-priced for what you get. We had just a short time at Disney so we wanted to stay close and that's the only reason we chose this hotel. Food was over-priced also and the variety wasn't what I would have expected. Nice place, but don't think I would spend the money to stay there.

This hotel is a splurge but totally worth it. We loved the volcano pool (with active life guard presence) and the tiki torches lighting every path of this beautifully landscaped resort. The views of the castle and the lake are breathtaking, and the location is perfect for getting to and from the parks. The monorail in hotel is fast and easy, but we loved the option of taking a ferry and or smaller boat to and from the Magic Kingdom for fantastic night time views of fireworks and the electric parade. The refrigerator in our room didn't work, but they quickly had it replaced. Would highly recommend this hotel.

From the moment we were picked up by a special Disney bus upon arrival at the airport to the moment we checkeded in with our airlines for our return trip, at the hotel the stay was a complete relaxing adventure, in a very good way. The Polynesian is a classic Disney Hotel on The Lagoon and everything still stands up today. Everyone is friendly and helpful; the rooms are bright and clean; the food in the restaurants is amazing and the grounds are well kept and clean. There is Polynesian music playing softly in the background. Lit torches lighting the paths. The whole complex had an amazing feel and thoug I know some people scoff at the ' cheeseieness' of it all, you still have to remember that : " It WAS all started by a mouse."

I stayed for a Friday and sat night during a popular weekend beginning of June. Friday night - pulling teeth to get a drink from the bartender in Ohanas. 2 bartenders, 6 guests, 5 already served.... Not one hello or an Aloha from 6 staff members I passed that night except at check in. Bed one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on at Disney (Alum of Deluxe, Med and Value resort properties) But room was nice other than that. (recently rehabbed? Fiji building) Sat - One aloha in the AM (passed or saw 4 cast members) Out of hotel all day. Drinks at Pool Bar in the pm - John the bartender made up for all the staff I had dealt with so far. quick, friendly GREAT. Went inside for a drink. Bar trashed from the expected crowd. Bar certainly not staffed for it. (This is the 21st year for this group at Disney, you cannot tell me they didnt know they were coming) Same bartender from Fri night (initial E) remembered my drink, then went off and took 2 other orders after mine and made them, forgetting me. Sat at a table where Mahana (sp?) cocktail waitress MORE than made up for the bartenders lack of attention. Disney should zerox her. Sun - 7am, went for Kona Coffee and a newspaper. You cannot get a newspaper ANYWHERE in the hotel on a Sunday morning until 8:00am (and then they did not open on time so 8:05am) for the price of the room and coffee, it seems SOMEONE could buy a local paper and have it at the coffee bar. Met a lovely lady who works at the vacation desk (blonde hair from Virginia maybe?) Who was lovely and welcoming. Made me forget I could not get a paper for awhile. Sunday NY Times - almost $7.00 with tax..... this was pretty much my last impression of this property. Probably would not race back here as the service and attitude at every other property I have stayed at on Disney Property has been so much higher.

Wait staff and employees ran the gamut of indifferent to superb. We were traveling with a handicapped individual in a wheel chair and could have used a few hints as to our unit's location which we could not find in the dark. We only realized our location was walking distance to the transportation center and a direct monorail to Epcot on the 3rd day. Very convenient to Disney and Epcot. Concierge supervisor could not have been better for booking difficult dinner reservations at hotels other than our own and Epcot. Our cleaning staff couild not have been nicer and gave us extra time to vacate.

Love the location! Close to Disney and monorail, but we had to give our son Benadryl and take our 2month old to the Doctor, bug bites from head to toe! They need to fog that room for bugs!! Also when I called to let them know, all I got was a lady saying "ok we will check it out," she didnt take my name or room number down so I am guessing she was just trying to get me off the phone!

WOW is all i can say.... after checking in i was informed we had a Lagoon view update....on the first floor.... we were very happy with both hotel.com and the polynesian.....will use again....thanks very much for making my weekend AWESOME

This resort was everything that we had hoped for. One of the most relaxing vacations ever. The tropical setting all around the resort is terrific. I've never been to Tahiti, but from the moment we began the short walk from the car to the lobby, I thought we were there. Disney got it right with this one. The pool / beach setting is great with a volcano water fall, and just walking around the resort is a real treat. We tried the Luau that this resort is famous for The 1st half of the show was pretty corny. Maybe the only disappointing part of the entire stay. But the 2nd half of the show was pretty good when they did the traditional island dances. Good food, beer and wine included in the price. In fact, we had more drinks waiting before the glass was ever close to empty. Definitely a good time at the Poly.

The hotel was excellant. This is our favorate of all the disney hotels. The rooms were twice as big as the rooms at the Animal Kingdom.

I had a garden room but they gave me a room with a view of the parking lot. I also had to call three times for a roll away bed and it was 10:00pm before it came.

Though disappointed by previous stays at Disney hotels, we thought we'd give their accommodations one more try. The Polynesian had all that we were looking for: location, amenities, ambiance. And we weren't disappointed. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The grounds and pools were well maintained, and the view of the parks was amazing. Though we didn't have reservations for dinner at the on-site restaurants, the happily worked us in without much of a wait. I highly recommend this hotel.

On monorail - everything eas perfect - it was a great stay - as with all Disney resorts. Not as updated as other resorts - but its on the monorail and it was perfect. Nice walk on the lake/beach and enjoyed the view and themed room.

It's a cliche, but our recent trip to Disney's Polynesian could only be described as magical. We took advantage of the in-room and neverland babysitting services, allowing my wife and I to have several nights of dining and fun while the kids were taken care of and had great experiences of their own. The food, pools, fireworks, light shows on the lagoon, etc... all made for some great memories and we plan on going back and spending a few days at this resort on an annual basis.

Olimme hotellissa toista kertaa. Hotellista on loistavat yhteydet magic kingdomiin. Illalla istuimme rannalla ja katselimme magic kingdomin ilotulituksen. Lapset pitivat uima-altaasta ja vaahtokarkkien paistamisesta rannalla. Palvelu nopeaa ja ystavallista.

マジックキングダム（モノレール利用）＆エプコット（TTCまで徒歩→モノレール利用）へのアクセス抜群。もちろん他のパークへも専用バスにて楽々アクセス。夜はマジックキングダムの花火をホテル内ハーバーから鑑賞可能。隣のグランドフロリディアンにも歩いて行ける。緑豊かなホテル敷地内、ハワイアンな音楽が流れ、フロリダでハワイ気分。ホテル内のレストラン＆カフェの使い勝手もGOOD。ホテル内は冷房が効きすぎているため、日本人には寒過ぎるのが不便。
