Hotel room looked like it was straight out of the 80s, pillows included. Mattress was extremely firm.

I would rate this hotel a 5 because they had friendly service,clean rooms and beds,breakfast room was like a restaurant,it had biscuits,bagles,muffins,cereal,oatmeal,juice, 2%milk and more.Pool and Hot Tub were clean and there is also a small pool for the little kids,and a big pool for the big kids.Hotel is 10 minutes of the galveston seawall.I would recommend this hotel for others.I will come back again.

The phone had the numbers removed, which is very odd. The room was not very clean and neither was the hotel. The breakfast was OK, but better in the past.

I will never stay or recommend this hotel for nobody. I didn't like the smell of the room . The towels was dirty , the color was coming out the towels , and had bleach stains . I just felt so nasty staying there .

Beds were very firm but other than that, pretty nice place. The pool and hot tub were great, hotel felt safe, breakfast was great for a cont breakfast!

Was informed by front desk that the room was actually $10 less per night had I just walked in and booked in person at the front desk.

overall the room was good,However; the beds were like rocks.to hard for me.

This place was disgusting. Hallways smelled like smoke..in nonsmoking area. Dirty bed linens. Filthy Shower and shower curtain. Dirty floor. Towel were rough, at best. Would not recommend to worst enemy!

wanted something a little closer to beach, but for the price and the amenities, and only 13 miles to ocean, this isnt bad at all. would stay there again..

This was probably the worst continental breakfast I have ever seen. Otherwise the hotel was great.

The smell of our room was so awful we went to Walmart and bought air freshner and a candle. Even after using the whole bottle and lighting the candle the room still smelt awful!! The carpet in our room was beyond disgusting but probably cleaner than the couch that was in the room. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

This was a very nice Hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good also.

The lady working the front desk was very helpful -- told me a good restaurant to check out! We stayed in the Annex building (newer addition to the hotel), the main building reeks of cigarrettes which worried me a bit, but didn't have any problems with our room smelling bad. Breakfast was extremely minimal-- basic cereal, bread, donuts, wafflemaker, apple juice, orange juice, coffee. It was very convenient to the freeway and about 10-15 minutes from Galveston which was nice. I would stay here again, but it is definitely "no frills."

Very conveniently located. Room was very clean. We were able to get extra towels upon request. Breakfast was okay. They had things like cereal, grits, oatmeal, cream of wheat, bagels, muffins and you can make your own waffles. I liked the fact the outer doors required the room key to get in. I felt more secure. If I am able to get back to Texas next summer more than likely this will be where we stay again. There were only three issues: 1) The Hotel was dark including the room; 2) The water didn't seem like it had a lot of pressure and it took awhile for the water to get warm but once it got warm it stayed that way. 3) The greatest issue was the swimming pool area. I will say that was my biggest disappointment because only the big pool had been cleaned and the kids pool was very dirty. There were several kids unattended which my friend suggested might be workers kids. They had food and drinks scattered all over including in the pool itself. I found it very inappropriate that Saturday night there were at least three coolers in the area when it said no food or drink. Beer cans were laying everywhere and one guy was obviously drunk. I have never known of a swimming pool to allow alcohol. Only reason why I did not say anything to management is because the guy eventually left the area. Other than the pool I liked the hotel. I felt comfortable staying there and would do it again as well as recommend it to others.

I was very surprised at the hotel altogether. I never stay in ritzy places, because usually I just want somewhere to lay my head for the night, so that's what I expected here. But the room was clean & pleasant and the pool area & breakfast area were impeccable. I was shocked that the room didn't smell like cigarettes (I always get nonsmoking rooms, but oddly, they usually still reek of smoke). And this is the first time I've ever gotten in on breakfast. Usually there's only a couple stale donuts & coffee (which I don't drink). this breakfast had the make your own waffles (I expected eggos), donuts, bagels, toast, hot & cold cereal, milk, coffee & 2 kinds of juice. We may have us a new favorite hotel chain to turn to.

It is within reaching distance to stay from Galveston beach and easy to locate from the I 45. It is equiped with everythings we need : Microwave,Fridge, Wifi

well when we arrived reservation was met but when we entered the room found out the restroom was dirty. the toilet seat was dirty. so overall i do not recomend this hotel to anyone.hotel needs to up there television set there still stuck in the 80's

This was a really nice hotel with a wonderful breakfast area. The pool was great. However, the beds were really hard. I tossed and turned all night. They also did not supply conditioner. I know that is a little thing but I expect if they supply shampoo, then there will be conditioner.

Hotel was old but the rooms look like they had been renovated. Room was clean but the beds were very hard. Great location easy on and off the freeway and only 10 min from Galveston.

A great place for me and my mom to rest for the night. Cool and confortable beds.

Very nice room. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Gave us the directions we asked for. The breakfaqst waffles were wonderful. Would stay here again and would recommend this Inn to others.

hotel was excellent in all ways possible. will stay there again on next trip.

A t first was assigned a smoking room but they were nice about changing it. There was a bug in the bathroom and no iron. Room was huge and refrigerator had alot of room. Beds weren't comfortable and pillows super flat. Wouldn't stay again

Our room was in the "new" building which felt about 20 yrs old. The room was very clean but had a weird odor and the hallways smelled like bleach which is better than the alternative I guess. The pool was clean and the breakfast was adequate. My kids enjoyed the waffles and juice. For the price it was a nice hotel. We stayed at a hyatt for the same price the night before so our standards were a little jaded to say the least. We got what we paid for so I was satisfied with the hotel.

Concierge service was unsatisfactory-rooms were not ready by check in time. continental breakfast was all gone by 9 am. one plus was that its 15 min away from island. rooms were clean though which was a plus.

We were vacationing in Galveston, but stayed in this motel 15 miles from Galveston to save a little money. It was definitely not the Hyatt Regency, but it was clean and comfortable and plenty close enough for what we were doing. It would be nice if breakfast was open a little later. Breakfast closed at 9:00 and we were on vacation so didn't bother to get up too early so we missed breakfast two days. It would be nice to keep breakfast available another hour.

I saw some good reviews for this hotel and decided to give it a shot. The room was comfortable, nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is in a good location just off highway 45 and even not too far away from highway 6. There is good access to local stores and restaurants, and is minutes away from the Galveston causeway & a short drive to Kemah or NASA.

We decided at the last minute to make a 1 night trip to Galveston, TX. We booked the hotel late Friday night for the next Saturday night. Hotels.com was able to book a good deal for us even though it was last minute. Got to the hotel earlier than check in time so I asked if we were able to check in early. The person behind the desk was very nice and checked to make sure the room was available. The room was available and we were able to check in. Got to the room and it was clean. I would recommend this hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay.

me and my finance rented this hotel for 3 nites. it was an ok hotel but i expected to be a little more updated. the room was clean but could have a more comfortable bed. we mostly just went to galveston during the day. the best thing was that the hotel was right next to I-45. only 10 to 15 minutes away from galveston. only complaints i had was the housekeepers. they didn't clean the bathroom or shower like they are supposed to. didn't restock but i didn't really care it just the fact that they did a lazy job of it. other wise it was ok i might not come back to stay at that hotel. the pool wasn't clean at all as well. however u get what you pay for. oh and breakfast only serves from 5 to 9... that wasn't convient at all

Everthing we expected and more. The room was vey spacious and comfotable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great location, 20-30 minuits from downtown Galveston. Great hotel for the money.

"Hotel not worth it get something on the Galveston Strip!"

From the time we got there, they had the room ready for us. My son had got sick on the way down there and we had used up most of the towels and pillows. They had no qualms about getting us more. The housekeeping gave us extra towels when we asked and kept our room nice and clean. The pool was wonderful. No ruffians on the grounds. Nice calm and a good family enviroment. We loved the prices we paid. And it was convienant from Galveston. It only took us 15 minutes to get there. The only thing I didn't like was the vending machine prices. We planning on going down to that area every year. And we has a family agreed to stay at that hotel.

It was exactly what i expected for a overnight stay. Nice bar and cafe. Only 10 mins from Galveston. Easy check-in and check-out. For the Price, i was very pleased.

The first room we got had roaches in the refrigerator. But the manager decided to change me to another room which I had no problem with. I was clean and in good condition.s

This motel/hotel needs lot of improvement. As for the room, sitting chair stained & nasty. While sitting at desk, saw baby cockroach. Sit or lay on bed, feel springs & hear them. Comforters had holes in areas. Now the bathroom was nice and clean and floor vacuumed. Pool was well taken care of. As for the Bear Bites breakfast,no good. They did not keep the muffins,bagels or other in keeper filled. Always empty when I was there. No vast choice.

For what we paid it was a good deal. There were alot of people out at pool very late and you could hear everything thru the walls. I would recommend not getting a pool side room.

This hotel was great as well as very cheap. The breakfast was very good and the best thing, it went on until 10:30 am. It was a great experience!!!
