Grand View Inn and Suites - واسيلا

Friendly staff and large clean rooms. Only complaint was noise from windows during storm and from other guests in hallway. Not 5 star, but will stay there again on another trip.

The hotel was in a safe feeling location, was clean, and the views were beautiful from our hotel window. They have observation decks on each floor that are perfect for taking coffee/kids out to sit. The downside was the coffee was weak and I had to go all the way down to the lobby for a channel guide (why not leave one in the room?). Overall, I would stay again and would recommend highly to travellers. They do NOT offer continental breakfast (very convenient for us with toddlers) but they are close to several eateries. Online rates were inline with the rest of Alaska.

Horrible service rooms were dirty front desk was very rude and unhelpful. There is a bar in te hotel so expect loud and rude drunks.

Everything was great except the bed was uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin.

Just wanted to say the room was cold the heat was turned off. Also the hallways was exstreamly noisy. Which made the room noisy not enought sound proff. For the amount of money spent on this room. I was very unhappy of the noise levels. You would think that the staff would turn on the heat to make it Comfortable for the guest. It winter out. Maybe I should of called and asked to have the heat turned on. Didn't think I would have to because it's winter.

Got accused of smoking in our room and were not. Lady at the counter was extremely rude and No hot hot water so couldn't even use jacuzzi tub or take hot shower. Never again for me!

stay here when have sports tournaments , located on main highway with shopping and restaurants nearby On site bar that serves food in hotel with a great Prime Rib on weekends , also a nice Pizza/Pub Eatery just steps away from hotel . Quiet and friendly. Would stay here again

We enjoyed our stay, the restraunt had good food and a very nice staff.. Very accomadating to our needs. The noise level was loud till about 11, but after that was quiet the rest of the night, it was karoake nite downstairs.. Overall a nice stay, would go there again..rooms were clean too

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. If you are traveling from Anchorage to Fairbanks, it's the perfect place to stop and rest for the night before driving the long distance back to Fairbanks. While the hotel provides coffee services, there is no breakfast of any type. The location of the hotel is great except that it can be a little difficult to find the access road to the hotel. Would be nice if there were a sign on the highway with directions.

Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The beds were very hard.

Very hard to find the entrance to the parking lot. Staff was helpful, but could have been better. Room was comfortable and the bed was mediocre, but the pillows were horrible - cheap and useless - my rolled up jacket was more comfortable. We would stay again if we had to...but not our first choice.

Spent 2 nights here while doing some shopping - the staff was very helpful and we had a good time - the only thing that would of made it better is if they had newer beds they were very unconfy - overall everythings was clean and great.

great that they allow dogs, however...the walls are pretty thin. makes it difficult when everyone else there has dogs too. in general, it was a decent place.

Ok, price was up there,no wifi, and 20$ extera for a pet. Was nice and quiet.

Overall, we were satisfied with the staff the cleanliness of the hotel and our room, and would have rated our stay higher but for one thing: we paid for our room in advance and did not purchase anything while we were there. Still, the next day our online credit card statement showed we were charged $50.00 for something we did not buy. When we called the hotel, the clerk said we would have to call back Monday and speak to the manager (Sandy), which we will do.

Room clean and adequate. Not much for a view, Location fine. Staff helpful. I give a higher rating than the 3.4 listed. Remember, this is Alaska.

For the high price, this mostly unfilled hotel had a magnificent view, but the pool is out of service (no mention in ad), and no breakfast of any kind to offer.

It was clean and well decorated. Easy to find, but hard to get to. Pillows were a little flat. Overall a good stay.

Although the entrance to the hotel was not the easiest to find, the stay there was fine. With a large dog, there are no other hotels allowing pets to stay. This was a great convenience.

We liked our stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We do have a couple suggestions. it would be move convenient if the pet room was on the first floor to make walking them easier. We do appreciate that they do accept pets. it would have been nice to have had a writing tablet and pen in the room to take telephone messages. We did regret there was no breakfast available. Also it would have been nice to have more gravel on the parking lot with all the icey conditions. We will stay there again.

I have worked in hotels and i have never had service, the front desk women had no idea what they were doing and to be honest a bit rude, the hotel was under construction the whole time, i wasnt informed the pool wasnt available and that was the main reason i pick that hotel, and the walls of the rooms were scuffed and dirty, the parking lot was in a very inaccessible location as well as poorly plowed, and having to drive threw a restaurant parking lot in the evening is horrible!

The GrandView does have a grand view -- on the south side of the building. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

Signage is needed up along the Parks Hwy to indicate you must turn into the Chili's Restaurant to access the hotel. Carpet could use a thorough cleaning, like behind the door and under the bed stand. Overall was acceptable room but certainly not worth the room rate they ask for. The pool has been closed for 3 months.

We went to Wasilla, AK for my son's basketball tournament. After reading some of the reviews, we were prepared for the worst. To our surprise, the room was clean and everything in it seemed to work except for the free high speed wireless internet. We could not log on at all. The on line reviews were accurate in many aspects. The pillows were tiny and gave little support. The pool was closed, which on line reviewers say happens a lot. Our room was by the stairs, so we did hear some doors slamming throughout the night. We checked in at 5:30 pm and went out to dinner and then came back in to watch the HBO movie. We checked out by 9:30 am the following day. It was a decent place to stay for one night. It was nothing special but it was a clean room at a reasonable price for one night. We would stay there again.

The Grand View is a little odd in it's approach to extended stay. I've never had an extended stay hotel make your bed daily, or change your towels daily... but the Grand View apparently goes above and beyond. Their customer service is fantastic. However, an extended stay hotel with no hangers in the closet? A bit odd to say the least. Pots, pans, dishes at the handy... but no spatula or measuring cups? Never seen it before. All in all, the Grand View seems to really handle the big details well, but forgets some of the little ones that make an extended stay hotel memorable. But that's okay. I can buy a measuring cup and a spatula to leave behind for the next guy. I can live without hangers. The Grand View more than makes up for those minor flaws with what they offer in comfort and convenience. When I visit Wasilla from now on, this is where I will be staying.

This was my 2nd stay. Desk personnel very pleasant, hotel clean. Room heat/cool worked very well. The bed pillows were not the fullest and there were only 2, so not much for propping up in bed. Had a good chicken ceasar salad in the lounge one night. Finding out how to get to the hotel from the highway was NOT marked or clear - could use a sign down by the Chili's restaurant entrance to point the way. Will stay here again [now that I know how to get in].

Stay was excellent. Only complaint is that the lights in the hallway to our room were burnt out so it was dark and hard to see to open the door

Not impreesed. We stayed here because it was the most conveniently located. There were two tiny pillows on the queen size bed, two little towels, no lotion to be found in the room. There was LOUD karaoke going on TWO FLOORS below us. And the worst thing: the shower curtain was so dingy I didn't feel clean getting out of the shower. Up side: the bed was comfortable, it would have been nice to have an extra pillow since the ones they provide are literally the same dimensions as a milk crate. For the price, What are you supposed to get? But still, a business should be run better.

No complaints.Quite adequate. Would definitely recommend the Grandview and will stay again.

Was glad that we were aloud to take the dogs with us. It really meant alot to my daughter ,which is in custody-staying in Wasilla.

We came into to town for a doctor's appointment. The staff was friendly and we were promptly checked in. The room was very clean. Bed was a little uncomfortable. The only thing that was missing was extra pillows for my expecting wife. A few extra channels on the t.v. would have been nice as well.

My only real complaint is that we were in a jacuzzi suite and there werent any "extra" towels. We have stayed here before and ended up staying a second night this time, and will probably stay again in the near future.

Average to below average

OLD bed. Well worn, Had to ask for pillows, towels, drinking cups for the coffee. No refills on day two for the coffee maker. Paper thin walls No one mentioned the pool was out of comission when we booked. Other than that, ...................... The weather was good.

I'd only recommend based on convenience and it being the only hotel/motel. After staying each weekend for hockey in Anchorage at the Embassy Suites, we kind of got spoiled. Beds were only fair, pillows were horrible, potato chips were on the floor by the bed, not a real comforting feeling.
