Great hotel for the price. This is the cheapest hotel we found and indeed it was a nice hotel. The rooms are quite small but for the time actually spend alin the room, it wasn't a big deal to us. They didn't have much selection on the breakfast and maybe because the town is such a tourist town, but breakfast was always crowded. It seemed that the cooks were having a hard time keeping breakfast stocked. Other than that everything was great.

We were pleased to stay at the MicroTel in Aransas Pass because of the comfortable rooms and the excellent air conditioning. At the end of the day in coastal south Texas, AC is all important.

FRONT DESK CLERK , DEBRA, VERY HELPFUL WITH DIRECTIONS WITH EACH CALL( THERE WERE SEVERAL) SMILE. ALL EMPLOYEES WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HOTEL HAD A NICE ATMOSPHERE. WILL RECOMMEND.

It was a great value. The hotel was clean and very well maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good and there was a lot of choices. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel was clean and VERY convenient to all sights. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night! Great breakfast and pool!

My wife and I have stayed here at this MICROTEL 4 or 5 times in the last 3 years and it is a great hotel overall. This time our stay wasn't as great. Our room was clean and all, but the room had no microwave or fridge. The shower curtain was almost coming off and I reported the problem, but I guess they didn't care. The breakfast is really good!!! They offer eggs, sausage links, cereal, fruit, waffles, bagels with cream cheese and jelly, toast, muffinsn, and biscuits. A great place to stay if you're on a budget and want to go to the beach in Port Aransas, Corpus, or Padre Island. 4 stars overall. Tell them you DO NOT want room #138.

We walked in to find a sign stating they were helping others be back soon, which was 15 minutes, but very friendly at the front desk. The elevator was out dated and slow. We walked into our room and the smell almost knocked me off my feet, it was like someone tried to hide a pet urinating on the floor, kept me up. bed was ok till next morning when I found mold on blanket in between coverlet and sheet. Very small but a cleaver way to place items in a small area. Breakfast was a nut house, area was way too small for that many guests, ran out of everything and the staff was no where to be found to replenish it, juice was completely gone. Parking was safe and close to Ferry. I would try it again for the price but not for along extended stay unless little time in room.... and there where NO BUGS, THATS A PLUS!!!

Checked in and they did not have two rooms together which we requested. The receptionist then wanted the credit card and drivers license, everything except a finger print. She was nice, but seemed confused like she had just started at that location. We were told that all the rooms were non-smoking but clearly they were not. This place had been renovated and probably under new management. After checking the room it was clear that the sheets had not been changed because, we immediately check the linen after seeing reports on dateline tv. Yes there was food crumbs under the bed spread and on the white under sheets. Kids in the room next to us spilled chex mex on the hallway floor about 3 pm on the first day. We made several request for someone to come clean it and no one came. While waiting in line for 1/2 hour to make just one waffle, I decided to step out of line and tell the front desk clerk about the mess in the hallway. He immediately requested a staff member clean the area. An hour later after eating my one waffle and returning to the room the staff member was just getting to the mess. This was 20 hours after it was first reported. There is no view from the rooms except the parking lot and the car wash next door. The room is worth 55 dollars that I originally booked it at but Hotels.com sent a message an hour later to my e-mail saying the hotel was booked. When I called hotel.com they were able to book the two rooms I originally requested at a new price of $63.20 per room. I was to tired to fight about this, so I booked it, but beware this seems to be common.

A good hotel for the price; staff members were not overly helpful or friendly, but got the job done. Premises were extremely well kept. Would stay again.

Anyone who complains about this Hotel is a moron.. why.. its a low budget cheap Hotel with High Standards, absolutely nothing wrong with my room or service..NOTHING.. not even the bed. PERFECT.. CLEAN.. very very clean..AFFORDABLE.. You can't pay these prices and expect Hilton quality.. not going to happen.. LOVE this place will be back.. The town of Aransas Pass.. ghost town, ghetto...BUT come out take a right... over the bridge, beautiful ferry ride to Port Aransas... Night and day.. LOVE this island beach town.. WILL BE BACK!!!

We planned a last minute trip to the coast with out of town guests. This was a good location at a good price. Although, there was a minor glitch with our reservation the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it right. Although this is an older remodeled facility and the queen single room was small it was very clean and the staff was VERY helpful. The breakfast buffet was a very popular spot on Sunday morning. The hotel staff woked diligently to keep the buffet line stocked with fresh food. All in all we had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this location to thers.

Friendly staff will stay again.

My only complaint was the matress was lumpy, Every thing else was good

Micro must reflect the room size. The rooms are very small. No King beds. The location was ok. The rooms were clean. The hotel was noisy. The breakfast was pretty good. The service was good. There was very few quality resturants in the area. Very close to the ferry to go across to Port Aransas.

First off the check in time is 3pm who does that, with that being said our room couldn't even be prepared in that amount of time anyway, so we were given another room. The room we were giving was horrible the a/c wasn't working so the manager brought us a box fan.(ghetto). So after all that I go to the store to stock up on some groceries and the room key wouldn't open the side entrance. This wasn't even addressed after it was brought to there attention. By the way no pool towels either.

My only complaint was it smelled a little musty. The room was comfortable and clean. Great bargin for the price. Very convenient for fishing but a little far from the beach.

My husband and I had to make a quick trip to Aransas Pass and needed a cost effective place to stay--this place was it! The hotel was clean and the front desk staff were friendly. It met our needs for this trip. Recommendation for areas of improvement: carpet out and a different type of flooring in, (carpets were clean but stained) toilet holders near the toilet and some pictures on the second floor to give a less institutional feel to it. The bed was not very comfortable either. But, I would recommend for fellow travelers that need a place as this to stay.

This hotel was in a good location if you plan on visiting Port Aransas often. It was actually on the same street as the ferry entrance (about 15-20 minutes from it). The rooms were clean and tidy. Outdoor pool is nice on not days when most of the beaches charged parking fees. There are a couple of good places to eat, but most of the good restaurants are on the Port Aransas side. The breakfast at the hotel is convient but not very good. I recommend the cereal and waffles. Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay because of location and price.

Not a bad hotel. Seems new and pretty clean. We had an issue with Keys working in the door and once checked in had to do up and down from the 2nd floor to front desk 4 times before getting a working key. The original room we were booked in was apparently occupied or had just not been cleaned yet. We were then moved to a new room and had the key issue again. After all was said and done (finally with a working key) we had a nice stay and would stay again.

We loved the pool and our room was great! The only drawback was the breakfast. It seemed they were out of everything, including butter! I would stay there again in spite of the poor service at breakfast.

I booked this hotel last minute for a weekend trip. I was worried bc many hotels had terrible reviews. I was very happy with the hotel. It was clean. The beds were very comfortable. There was a nice aroma to the hotel. The room I got was on the second floor overlooking a gas station so I was afraid it would be noisy and prevent me from sleeping. I only heard one motorcycle the whole night and slept very well. Breakfast was great and I enjoyed the TX shaped waffles. If I am going to be picky I could say that the pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. There is no shaded parking anywhere. There is no grand entrance so it was difficult to figure out where to go inside to check in. The toilet paper in the bathroom was very hard to reach from the toilet. Finally the shower head was stuck in the massage position coupled with strong water pressure made for a bit of an abusive shower. Overall it was a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Great stay. Nice room. Nice pool. Only complaint was not enough tables at breakfast time and ran out of breakfast (syrup, milk, biscuits) and did not re-fill. Overall great stay.

This was our 4th stay at this hotel in as many years so we must like it. The rooms are small but they are very well designed. They appear much larger than they are and are very efficient and cute in a modern, industrial way. The furnishings are beginning to age however and the night stands should be re-attached to the wall. The staff is young and seem unable to keep people from filling their ice chests from the hotel's only ice machine. I ended up having to buy ice from the grocery two blocks away. At breakfast, the coffee pots were always empty the three days we went down and they were never refilled during the course of our meal. The hotel is very close to the ferry dock, a grocery and fast food. The parking is well lighted and safety was not be a concern at all. This is not a 5 star hotel by any streatch. It is what it is. It is modern and the rooms are well architected and clean. For a holiday weekend for fishing or at the beach the Microtel is ideal. It wouldn't take much for us to bump our rating up a point. I'm sure we will be staying there again.

The hotel staff was nice and accommodating. I guess the humidity in the area contributed to a certain dampness that we felt in our room and a somewhat musty odor when we entered the main lobby. The room was obviously small (Microtel), but sufficient. I really enjoyed the bay window, it was just right for reading a book while getting some sun in the AC. However, the walls were very thin and we were placed close to the breakfast area so I did not sleep well at all during our stay. The complimentary breakfast was very nice, we especially liked the Texas-shaped Belgian waffles! Overall, not a bad experience, but next time we will definitely shell out a little more money and stay on the Port A side or closer to Corpus, and in a nicer hotel..

the location to the boat ramp was fine for me and to port a but is was a good fishing trip.

This location was great for us as we wanted to go to Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, Rockport and Corpus. All were within a short distance. The breakfast was wonderful, eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, prepared well, served well, and most enjoyable.

The staff was very friendly felt very welcome beds weren't as comfortable as we would have liked but overall was very satisfied for the price!! Thumbs up!!! Enjoyed the stay!!!

We had rooms w 2 double beds. Rooms are kinda small, but beds and pillows are very comfortable and clean. We were also impressed with the bathroom. All and all, except for size of room, on the same level with Hampton Inn, which is much more expensive.

Really good spot for vacation and close to almost everything.

Everything was pretty good. Especially considering it was a cheaper hotel. The location is great, just 5 minutes from the free ferry to Port Aransas. The room was clean and had a lot more amenities than I was expecting (mini-fridge with separate freezer door and a window seat that doubled as a 3rd bed). The pool was clean and well maintained. The only negative I had to say was that the continental breakfast was a lot smaller than I expected. The biscuits were half cooked and doughy. There were eggs but no meats. And the staff seemed rather uninterested in keeping it stocked. We had to ask for plates, waffle batter, and a few other things that they ran out of and never noticed. Not a big deal in my opinion though. I would (and probably will) definitely stay here again.
