do not be deceived. you cannot stroll out of this hotel and enjoy downtown Athens. You will have to get in your car and find a parking place downtown...!!!

First, this hotel is NOT downtown, as the name suggests. If you want to enjoy downtown Athens/UGA then you will have to drive in and find a parking place. Second, the whole place smells like a combination of mold and chemicals. Tried 3 different rooms and gave up. There are signs of water damage on ceilings and walls, which explains the smell. And the shower is pathetic.

I give this Hotel a 5-Star because the service was excellent, the atmosphere was very clean, and the price was extremely good!

After having a bad experience at this hotel (housekeeping ignored do not disturb sign and called the room and knocked on the door twice) The hotel also later added charges for towels that housekeeping reported missing ( $30.00 for 2 hand towels and a wash cloth) We called and they would not do anything about the bogus charge so we had to dispute with AMEX. Would never recommend this location to my worst enemy. For just a few bucks more you could stay in a very nice room in a much better part of Athens.

The shower was pathetic

The Comfort Suites were very clean, with a friendly staff, but our room had an overpowering smell of soap or perfume, as if someone had emptied a can of Febreze there. We stayed three nights, and we were hit with this smell each night when we returned to the hotel (and our room was non-smoking). Also, I had chosen the hotel because it advertised a fitness center. But that consisted of just a bicycle (controls broken) and a treadmill (broken), along with one of those universal weight machines. Very disappointing. The breakfast was good.

It was overall an excellent experience. The shower was not functioning well, and the fitness center was 1 treadmill, 1 bike and 1 universal machine in a room that was 85 degrees; but that is just an amenity. The breakfast was satisfying, the staff was very nice, and the facility was in top condition.

Spacious, clean rooms with a helpful staff. A very enjoyable stay 5 minutes from Downtown.

We were booked for a room with 2 queen size beds which was on the second floor but was told the elevator was broken when we got there so we asked for a ground floor room and was given a handicapped room. We ended up with a king size bed and a pull out couch which was broken with wires coming out of the mattress. It was also advertised as having an indoor pool and hot tub. The pool was ice cold and the hot tub had been drained.

The hotel is nice and clean. Is not in the city but close enough if you have a car.

Check in and check out was a breeze. Everything was clean and well maintained. Hotel staff were friendly and responsive.

Wish all hotels we stay in are this nice,

Clean and comfortable but very thin walls and floors. I could hear the neighbors partaking in extra curricular activities when I arrived. When I came back to go to sleep I immediately got in bed but 15 minutes later got a phone call from the front desk saying my downstairs neighbors thought I was jumping around at 1:15am. I weigh 130lbs I can't be making very much noise. The room and front lobby had a very new feel to it although I think the hotel has been around awhile. Also the elevator didn't work from about 11pm- 10am.

This is a relatively new property (6 years??) that has been impeccably maintained. All areas are in excellent repair, clean and like new. Breakfast is typical hotel lobby fare. Location is central to Athens (Dawgs) and easy access to the mountains or to Atlanta. Price was very reasonable.

This hotel was very good for the price and for the need that we had- attending a wedding and did not want to break the bank getting a room for one night. Neighborhood looked questionable but was fine. The only problem that we had was that we had paid for our stay thru Hotels.com and when we were checking our credit card bill online we saw that we had been double charged- once by Hotels.com and once by the actual hotel when we hecked out. Called the hotel and the credit was issue with no problems.

Very clean, looked new or recently renovated. About a 5 min drive to downtown and the stadium, although easily accessible with a taxi. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Great price and a good deal for Athens.

Beware that this hotel is close to downtown, but NOT downtown. The hotel and everything in it appeared new, but the "suite" was way overpriced, even for a game weekend. Breakfast was great, though.

If you have to be in nasty east athens for something, it's a decent hotel. Clean rooms, plenty of towels and a nice pool. Scary neighborhood, liquor store shares the parking lot and their wifi sucks something horrible. It's a joke that they offer it.

Nice hotel for the price. Not really downtown. Approx 1 mile from downtown

Staff was friendly. Quiet. Smoke free. Breakfast hours are exact...do not be tardy.

This isn't the Ritz, but has everything you need at a very good price.

We stayed at Comfort Suites for one night so we could pick up my daughter from UGA Swim Camp. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

this hotel is not downtown but i knew this and it is a great value . very surprised with how nice the room was . it was very similar to a marriot courtyard

The room was very clean and everything was functional. The entire hotel was well kept up and the staff was very friendly and efficient.

This place is new, nice, and friendly. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Athens. It isn't in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but it is convenient to downtown and the perimeter highway, so getting around is a snap.

Overall good value. Room was a little tight but adequate. The bed was comfortable as was the sofa bed. But, once the sofa bed was opened there was no room at the desk. Particularly compared to other places we stayed on the same trip the room and lobby were in great shape and well worth the price.

An overall nice hotel. However, The wireless network which was my major attraction was barely there - with only 1 bar. I had to sit on the table with a short network cable in order to surf the net, but could not watch the TV at same time. They need to go flat screens instead of TVs locked in a box. Every other thing was great.

Not as close to downtown as we would've like to have been. Can't walk to downtown. Neighborhood is just ok.

At Check-out I was compelled to compliment the lady who works in the breakfast area. She seemed surprised, but she was beyond thankful that someone recognized her effort! Her enthusiasm for her job was apparent in the cleanliness of the area and the quality of the food being served. *My only complaint - please encourage guests checking in with pets to walk their dogs in an area away from customer cars (dog poop in my car at departure was not a good look or smell)!!!

Very nice room itself. Newer sheets & tv, etc. Even had a steamer! However, not as close to downtown as I thought & it's at the top of a monstrous hill, so walking is out!

think this hotel should get more than 2.5 stars. The rooms were great. I'm used to paying a lot for places like the Westin, Ritz, etc. and decided that I was throwing my money away for what? The room was large, ample for the three of us to move around comfortably. Furnishings were up to date. The lobby had a nice computer area and breakfast area. I would put this hotel way above your typical Hampton.
