Periscope Hotel - آثينا

Stayed 3 nights and do not regret my choice of hotel. Sleek and modern room, good breakfast, and friendly staff that recommended good local restuarants within walking distance. The hotel is small though well maintained and in a upmarket neigbourhood. The only drawback is that there is no real parking in the vacinity of the hotel if you plan to rent a car. It is in a residential area so most street parking is occupied by residents.

We have booked a room at periscope hotel,but due to no availability of rooms we were moved to NEW Hotel in a junior suite!!!Very kind and professional move from the hotel's management side..New Hotel it's the best hotel I ever stayed in Athens..The staff were both attentive but unobtrusive..They managed to anticipate your needs!!Everyone was unfailingly polite!The accommodation was amazing,clean and very comfortable.I would highly recommend New Hotel..It's more than certain that we'll be back very soon!!!

.............but value or money none the less. We stayed in a couple of rooms including the rooftop suite with its own terrace(s) and jacuzzi. Super big comfy beds, great sized room in a good part of town. Kolonaki is easily accesible into the centre of Athens by foot, and great bars eateries nearby. If you want minor quibbles, (& they are minor), both rooms could have done with a more thorough dust than they had recieved, if you go for breakfast at peak times be prepared for a bit of a wait, oh and don't drink the jacuzzi water.

My husband and I stayed at the Persicope Hotel in August of 2011. The hotel concierge was great. However, everything other than the concierge was less than satisfactory. The condition of the room left much to be desired, especiall the bathroom. The shower was improperly engineered resulting in a lake in the bathroom everytime we took a shower. There was also a crack in the cheap bathroom linoleum floor as well as along the cheap walls. Also, the restaurant employees were very rude. This is definitely not a 5-star hotel (as it was advertized when we booked it), not a 4-star hotel as downgraded by Hotels.com. I would rate this hotel no more than a 3-star.

PROS: Good location, good service and clean rooms. The hotel restaurant is quite good. Cool decor and tasty dishes. CONS: The room itself was quite small and the bathrooms were recently updated, but the workmanship is very poor. Our shower threatened to fall off at a tug and the floors were what you would expect from a public swimming pool (effectively painted concrete).

This hotel is overpriced for what you get. the room is very small and the bathroom is bad (painted floors and walls without tiles)

Lovely hotel in a posh neighbourhood close to a lot of shopping but a few metro stops away from the main tourist attractions in Athens. Great staff but a bit odd there are steps leading up to the hotel but no ramp for luggage. Breakfast was very good as well.

Nice hotel for easy access to all shops (Kolonaki area) and good restaurants. The room was nice (great bed!) and comfortable, but the bathroom needs a renovation. The breakfast was bit disappointing. In overall great for a weekend getaway.

the room was clean, "modern" and well maintained. the cabdriver we hired couldn't find the hotel very easily. the location of the hotel we printed off the website showed the hotel to be a couple blocks away on another street. The streets are short and narrow. staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast was beyond our expectations with fried eggs and bacon as part of the buffet. The hotel provided a lap top computer free of charge. The nearest Metro station is several blocks away but the walk isn't bad and the neighborhood appears to be very safe and quiet.

we stay here every time we go to athens, and also recommend to anyone we know. Beautiful safe chic part of town, stylish hotel, very boutique. One of our favorite hotels ever!

Saimme vaihdettua huonen viimeiseksi vuorokaudeksi, koska halusimme paljun. Hieno sviitti hotellin katolla ja mahtavat näkymät. Kiitos respalle joustavasta järjestylystä.

部屋はそこまで広い訳ではないですが、とても清潔で快適です。フロントの応対もとてもいいです。そして何より、朝ごはんのバイキングが最高に美味しいです！！日本でもなかなかないだろうという質の高さで、ギリシャ料理にちょっと疲れてしまっていたおなかをいやしてもらいました。例えば…オレンジジュースを頼んだら、なんと生絞りオレンジジュースが出て来ます(笑)

Bonne situation géographique dans un quartier avec du charme et au calme ; l'hôtel est petit mais le design et l'ameublement des chambres sont séduisants.

Letto comodissimo e doccia perfetta. Da provare assolutamente anche il ristorante dell'hotel.

From the web it seemed that there was a hot-tub that could be booked by guests - but it turned out that this was only available in the suite. My room was nice, bathrobe and brand new flip-flops a nice touch. The bath had some major wall damage in the shower area - this did not really bother me much, but they'll have a major fungus problem if they don't fix it pdq.

Diese Hotel kann jedem emfpohlen werden, der ein sauberes und zeitgemäss gestyltes Hotel sucht. Plüsch und Messing sucht man hier vergebens. Umso freundlicher ist das Personal. Das Zimmer war ebenso sauber wie Frühstücksraum, Empfang etc. Wohl einziger Kritikpunkt ist die fehlende Aussicht. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Athen-Aufenthalt mit ziemlicher Sicherheit wieder dieses Hotel wählen. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis.
