my wife and i stay was a great one.my wife loved the room.clean,great view,even smell clean. every one so helpful.location alsome.

Everything was great, the only problem was the room was hot and we had to get a fan brought up. Food was great and service was very good.

Just spending the night in KC with some friends, went to power and light. Also nice comfortable rooms. Would definitely be back!

The hotel itself was fine, but there were a few not-so-great moments. Check in was slow, with only one person working the desk on a Saturday night. We were given a room with a handicapped shower, which I thought was great at first (so big! a seat!), but the nozzle was broken, and kept falling out of the holder. Eventually I had to hold it up during the entire shower. Don't know what I'd have done if I'd actually been handicapped. That said, it was close to the district we wanted to go out in, and the stay didn't have any too troubling moments.

A great location if you want to be close to the Sprint Center. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.

Great service from front desk. Nice rooms, though a little on the small side. Hotel breakfast is a disaster. Don't waste your money or your time on it. One waitress serving everyone. Very frustrating.

Wonderful hotel and experiance.

The room was small and the air conditioner did not work even when it was set on 64. Not good when heat index is112. Hotel customer service was lacking. Bar tender did not know the prices of the drinks. There were 20 of us staying there and they should have had extra help knowing there was a big concert in town! Would never stay there again. Hilton should be ashamed! Would appreciate a call.

I stayed at the Hilton President last year for the Dance Festival also, and this year didn't disappoint either. One word describes the appearance & overall experience: amazing. This is the perfect hotel for anyone who wants a convenient, luxurious hotel near the AMC Midland Theater (or other downtown events). It's literally a 3 minute walk from the AMC Midland, and the hotel staff really work hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel staff are knowledgeable & helpful. If you want something, just dial 0 on your room phone & the front desk will take care of you (often much faster than dialing the extension for room service.) This is my suggestion for getting very prompt service & minimizing your time on hold. Management practically bent over backwards for the many requests we made during our stay. They were even very understanding in granting us a late checkout.

We recently stayed at the Hilton President for a friend's wedding, and had a fantastic time. The staff was friendly and beyond ready to help you with whatever you may need. The hotel itself was a throwback to the glory days when hotels weren't just built for cheap convenience. It had attitude, flare and classic beauty. The wedding reception was held in one of the hotel's ballrooms and was absolutely gorgeous. Following the reception, we headed to the hotel bar where a live, big band was playing. The hotel also sits in the Power & Light District that is full of late-night entertainment. It was just so convenient, clean and friendly, I would highly suggest anyone to stay there.

Superb service. Wonderful facilities. Unbeatable location for the Power and Light district and everything downtown KC. Stay at a landmark hotel!

After an evening out in the Power and Light District I first stayed here the evening before a Chief's game. The location was great and stayed again for a Royals game this spring. It was only 2 blocks walk to many restaurants and bars.

The Hilton President Kansas City is overpriced for the quality received. While the staff is helpful enough, the rooms are nothing special. They are the same as many other less-pricey hotels. The surrounding area is not worth visiting unless you are looking for jazz clubs and bars (whch we weren't}. The area was kind of run-down and not great for walking around.

Hotel was relatively easy to get to. Parking at the front of the hotel is minimal, but the valet did a good job of keeping cars moving. Check in was easy, with great recommendation for a restaurant nearby. Attended the Lyric Opera in the evening (was within walking distance). Good Sunday breakfast buffet.

I was very impressed with my most recent visit to Kansas City staying at the Hilton President Hotel. All of the workers were very personal (making a point to remember and call me by name), helpful, and friendly. Our room was very comfortable, and I felt very much at home - not something I have felt very often at a hotel. The neighborhood was wonderful with the hotel being a part of the Power & Light District (a movie theater and 24/7 diner are just around the corner). We were also within a few blocks walking distance from the convention center and many other downtown attractions. I thoroughly enjoyed feeling the warm hospitality and comfortable atmosphere of downtown Kansas City and look forward to my next trip. The hotel and downtown experience truly showed why Kansas City is the urban center of the heartland.

Very nice older restored hotel in the hart of Kansas Cities P & L district. It was a nice get away for my wife and I for the weekend.

Stayed here with a couple of my friends when we went to see a concert at Sprint Center. The location is great 3 blocks straight to the center. I felt safe the whole time. The only down side was the bed was a full size which I would of preferred a queen or king but it was comfortable.

The Hilton President was a quaint hotel in KC. The location is fantastic and the breakfast buffet had more items than expected. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom had a great walk in shower. The staff was very accomodating. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location - one block from KC Live! and in the heart of the Power and Light District (and right across the street from the AMC Theater). It was historic and beautiful with redone rooms. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. We enjoyed staying there!

For the price, probably could have found a hotel in the same area for a better price. Our room was small, but comfortable and nice bathroom. Very nicely remodeled old hotel.

Our room had a wonderful view of the P&L district. Noise was not a problem. The entire hotel had the awesomeness of yester year, with all of the needed updates to spoil ones self. When I do go back, I will always stay at this Hotel.

Had a bad premonition when we received a room on 13th floor. First room we received had an 18" by 18" window, about 6' high. Upon complaint, we were immediately upgraded to a suite [with more typical windows]. Everything fine until morning shower. Initially, no cold water ... after I had shampoo in hair, then not a single drop of water. After about 15 minutes, mechanic said he fixed. My wife then got into shower ... no hot water, [as you might expect] after SHE was all lathered up. Maybe the rooms on lower floors received all the water? Mechanic, some of the front desk personnel & all doormen were very nice ... received excellent advice on restaurants & shopping from several different doormen. Next time, we will try Raphael. Tip: great diner around corner (across from AMC Theater) ... I believe the name was Frans.

Really nice room for the price and a great location, within walking distance of the Power and Light District. Indoor self parking ($16) or valet parking for $2 more.

We will definitely stay here next year for our conference. Rooms were great, bathrooms huge and staff was outstanding. Sat in lobby, while hearing tunes coming from the Drum Room, and talked until 2am one night.

This hotel is located just blocks from the Kansas City Convention Center, the Power and Light District, and the Sprint Center. You can walk to all of these locations. The hotel has been recently renovated to its former glory, and is just beautiful. The rooms are a bit small, but the bathrooms are huge. The parking is rather expensive, and valets are hard to come by, but the price is representative for downtown KC. We valeted the car at a different time than checking in, and they forgot to charge us the parking fees. The breakfast is great, I recommend paying the extra for including it with the room, the buffet is $14/person without that. Be sure to remind the front desk at check-in that you need the coupons for breakfast. The Drum Room is also a famous jazz locale if you're into that.

This is a historic hotel - once the site of the GOP National Convention, Herbert Hoover accepted the party nomination to run for president on the mezzanie of this hotel. The hotel lounge - called The Drum Room - has hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra. Wonderfully restored, my family really enjoyed our stay in one of the junior suites. Lots of space, a nice big television and spacious bathroom. One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Add to that being in the Power and Light District - meaning an abundance of dining choices very close by - and this hotel ranked high with us.

The Hilton is nice, and is within walking distance of a lot of great downtown attractions. However, if you're looking for a good night's sleep, sometimes the downtown location is not the best. Our room was great, but at night you could hear lots of street noise, a drunk wedding party guest who thought our room was his, etc. This happened both of the nights we stayed there. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious.

This is the best Hotel in KC if you are going to spend some time in the KC Power and Light District. Old time charm with all the comforts of a new hotel. Price was right on Hotels.com.

I have stayed in several hotels on vacations and business, but this was by far one of the best. This stay was for Mothers day week-end get away. I want to thank the staff for making it one of the best stays ever. I have told everyone about the hotel & how wonderful it was to be within walking distance of everything too. Thank you for the memories and yes we will be back.

The President it right in the middle of all the action in Kansas City. If your a night owl and enjoy a night out on the town everything you need for a great time is within walking distance.
