The hotel isnot in the center, but there are buses. THe rooms were very nice and nice bathrooms.. We did have some flys at night which Is because we slept with the window open with no screens. Very nice breakfast.

A very nice hotel, although not the easiest to find. It is about half an hour's walk to the 'main' area of Firenze, and the approach road is a bit dangerous when walking as the pavements are narrow and traffic is not exactly slow. However, it is a lovely looking resort set in a nice garden. We had a 'suite' - one of four a short distance away from the main 'bit' of the hotel. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. One incident spoiled the stay somewhat, and that was when guests in one of the adjacent 'suites' were sitting outside 'till 2 in the morning talkin (loudly) and smoking - it was not easy to get to sleep. We had to complain to the desk; to be fair they did come to the 'offenders' and tell them they were keeping other residents awake. They did then disperse amidst much banging of doors etc. Overall I would say it was pretty good. Just one or two niggling things though keeps it from being 5 stars in my opinion.

rooms are typical european - more sparse than US, but comfortable. the grounds are very country, but you are only a few minutes from town. Chris & Simone are excellent guides, great connections, lots of knowledge - and both speak english really well! The morning breakfast is wonderful - this is a charming place for two - maybe not so much for bringing the kids though! If you want a break fromt he city bustle, a retreat to the "country", cannot recommend this enough. If you plan to relax in your room and stay at the Inn instead of seeing Florence & the countryside, you'll need rooms with more amenities. (maybe ask for the suites instead.) the rooms are comfortable, but basic - euro style. Also, the restaurant up the street is a great experience - not much to look at from the outside, but the back is open to a downstairs patio terrace, and the food is great - cantina fontana or something like that - beautiful walk through a tree lined neighborhood.The romantic V-B Inn was one of our venice-florence-rome highlights!

The setting for this hotel in large grounds is ideal for those who prefer a peaceful atmosphere and otherwise the hotel is ideally stuated on the outskirts of Florence. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but we failed to get an explanation about the failure of the air conditioning for our three night stay and the room was very hot. We had a large spacious room and tea/coffee making facilities would have made it perfect, but unfortunately these are not provided

We wanted a hotel just outside of city center, however, this was too far away as we spent a lot of time walking just to get to city center. It is a quiet bed and breakfast in a beautiful neighborhood, a 15 minute walk from Biboli Gardens. The room was fairly spacious, the bedding reasonable, the bathroom very basic. Breakfast was included and was marginal. I would not stay here again because it is too far from city center and is an average facility.

Lovely small hotel outside the centre of Florence. Very friendly and helpful staff. It took us about 25 minutes to walk down into the centre - it is downhill. Lack of restaurants in near vicinity - about a15-20 minute walk to the nearest. It has a car park so no problems there. If returning to Florence I would stay there again.

Old mansion/estate, thoroughly redecorated building. All in all very functional. Very good value for money. Lovely back garden where you can also have breakfast. Breakfast had a great selection, including the usual italian sweets. Room was very clean and the mattress was comfortable. The receptionist/concierge (Simone) was excellent, advising regarding public transport and other options to go to and from the city centre. He also managed to get us tickets for l'uffizio on the day. Wifi internet was working very well with a simple login. The quality was even good enough to make voip calls.

This hotel was mostly perfect...except for a couple things. The only major issue I had with this hotel was the location. To get anywhere in the historical section you need to add about 1/2 hour each way whether you decide to walk or take the bus. The upside of this was the hotel was fairly quiet at night. We are sensitive sleepers so we woke up with the clanking of the dishes every morning when breakfast was served at 7:30. If you don't mind a hotel a little out of the way, this is a wonderful choice. The rooms and breakfast were great. The service was extraordinary. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the breakfast area.

Great parking 20 minute walk down hill to the Ponte Vecchio where all the actin and sites are. Convenient bus route back up to hotel, if 4 or more traveling recommend a taxi, only 3 euros more than bus fare for 4 and right to hotel door. Ask front desk staff for Pizza recommendation and will direct you to best place in Florence, walking distance, for value and quality. Except for Italian style hard mattresses a great place to stay while in Florence Nice people on desk very fluent in English.

A classy hotel set in quiet location. 40 minute walk from center of Florence. All staff spoke excellent English.

Beautiful Villa just outside of the city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large and the breakfast was a great experience eating outside in the garden. The only downfall of this property is that it is not located anywhere near the tourist attractions. It is a 20-25 minute walk down a hill to get to the edge of the city. The city buses are rarely on time and do not run very late. If location is not a consideration, then this is a fabulous place to stay.

We loved this hotel. It's set in a lovely garden and you wouldn't even know it was there, very private and quiet. Only provided breakfast but was lovely. Staff was very helpful. The hotel is a fair way out (over half hour walk). We had to walk back up the hill after dinner a few times as the buses only run to a certain time, but otherwise it was quite easy to catch a bus which took you into the city. Wish I could remember the name of the best place for dinner but if you ask at reception what is the restaurant in the plaza near St Mark's Church, they should know - the best food in Florence. We only found it on the last night unfortunately.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our GPS could not find it, the building numbers on the street are not sequential, but we finally did figure it out. Beautiful grounds and a quick downhill walk to the city. Steep uphill climb back but there is a bus; just be sure to let the driver know you want to get off at the light at the top of the hill or else he will take you halfway down the next hill. A delightful restaurant a quick walk away, (? deL'orragio- ask at the desk) recommended by the hotel. They made our reservations for us. Not as easy to get to the airport by car as we had hoped but we got there in plenty of time. The hotel allowed us to have our breakfast a bit early to allow us to head to the airport on time. All in all, a great location, beautiful grounds to sit and relax and great service.

Lovely hotel, good breakfast and very helpful staff. 25 minutes walking from Firenze downtown, however the bus service is quite good. We enjoyed our stay and strong recommend it.

This was such a beautiful property! A little weird to find and turn into, but once you get there - you will see how lovely the place is. Just right up the hill from the city center, then a hard left u-turn Interesting paintings and nice decor. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We opened our windows to see a courtyard, cypress trees and tons of birds chirping. A few kilometers from both the city center of Florence and the piazzale michelangelo, so the best of both worlds when it comes to driving to places. The staff were very friendly and accomodated us with drinks and wifi when asked. This hotel just put us in a really good mood after a busy day walking around Florence and dealing with the cars and scooters.

Nice to have a quiet and very clean place for our stay in Florence. Would definitely stay again, although it is a bit of a hike to the city center, about 15-20 mins by foot. Everyone was very helpful about suggesting things to do and places to eat.

This is a lovely villa at a busy corner and we almost missed it. Once inside the staff was friendly and efficient. You must be able to use stairs. Rooms are pleasant and larger than most European hotels. Our second floor window looked over the front yard and the white roses. Breakfast sufficient with cereals and breads and fruit and they will make you one "specialty" beverage. Turn right out of the drive way and it is an easy but good walk down to the bridges and museums. Would not walk around area at night as one road did not look welcoming. WiFi was free. We would stay here again.

We booked the VIlla Betania, because it had parking... and the price/location was good, period. Well, we end up finding ourselves at a beautiful little oasis!... I was glad we had the CAR! The smell of white roses.... the room was modern a and lovely.. and they had a fabulous little lobby bar where we sat and drank a beautiful brunello till the wee hours with a few other guests. I really don't think our experience could have been better. The front desk gentleman, doubled as our bartender... it was just so intimate and wonderful (and HONEST! To travellers reading this: I don't work for the hotel, I live in CANADA! And I'm not one of those pleasant wishy washy Canadian either... I do expect a lot and appreciate the same) Stay there if you're ever in Florence, with or WITHOUT a car! (the bus stp is just a little ways down the street, get the tickets at the little local pub!... so cool!) I actually "miss" the place.

We stayed at the Villa Betania for one night in August 2009. Overall, an excellent hotel. Beautiful location, beautiful room with an exceptional, modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast and friendly breakfast staff...our only complaint about the hotel was the person at the front desk the night we arrived. We arrived at 2am after a very long trip to a closed gate. We rang the bell and eventually the gate opened, allowing us to enter the hotel grounds. Evidently, we has awoken the man at the front desk, and he was not pleased. He gave us very bad look and his answers to our questions were rude. When we asked him about how to use wireless internet he replied "Are you going to use it now??" instead of just giving us the code. Are hotels not supposed to be open and ready to attend the customers at any time? Travelers go through multitude of circumstances and situations that make their schedule unpredictable and hotel staff should be considerate about it.

Great service. Quiet location (in a park about a mile from the cathedral). Buses are regular. Parking is easy in the grounds, don't even think of taking a car to town. Restaurants within a quarter mile, or take the bus. The building is spot-less and lovely. Breakfast (European style) in the breakfast room or in the adjacent gardens. My daughter (19) was so pleased she says she wants to rent the villa for her marriage!

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, if only for the exceptional quality of the service. It's very useful and rare to get parking in cental(ish)Florence too. Our room was large and airy. People should be aware though that as in a lot of non-chain Italian hotels, a double room is more likely than not to mean two singles pushed together, and the breakfast is basic.

Site enchanteur car villa située dans un grand parc avec allée, arbres, etc, le tout clôturé et très privé. Un petit déjeuner digne de mention dans la cour arrière, et si votre chambre est à l'avant, un lever du jour ensoleillé donnant sur le parc de l'entrée, les pins majestueux, etc, en ouvrant les grandes fenêtre ça sent bon la campagne en pleine ville. À proximité de tout, sur une rue magnifique bordée d'arbres et de résidences cossues. Bons resto aux alentours et 15 minutes de marche pour le PonteVecchio en passant ou non par un immense parc calme et boisé etc. Internet et climatisation fonctionne très bien.

Apesar de um pouco distante(25 minutos de caminhada ao centro histórico), o hotel possui uma estrutura excelente, quartos confortáveis, bom café da manhã e equipe cordial. Limpo, também tem estacionamento e acesso livre a internet. Recomendo a todos.

Preiswertes sehr gepflegtes Hotel. Schöne Lage im Grünen. Sehr sauber. Nur 20 Minuten zu Fuss ins Zentrum.

Все кто был во Флоренции на автомашине по достоинству оценят бесплатную парковку на территории отеля. А название отеля говорит само за себя-вилла. И на самом деле содержание соответствует названию. Отличный отель!

ホテルは元々個人の豪邸あとだったのか、素晴らしい一軒家を改築してます。近隣も高級住宅街で環境は良いと思います。ただ市内まで徒歩20分ぐらい掛かりますが、歩くのは嫌な人は公共バスがホテルの近くから乗れます。朝食は取れますが、基本レストランは付いておらず、食事に関しては毎日市内で取られることをオススメします。アクティブに動けるが、宿は綺麗な、または少し凝ったホテルに泊まりたい旅行者には良いかと思います。

Endroit reposant et rêvée , a la fois loin de la ville et près. En autobus , environ 10 minutes du centre-ville. Stationnent sécuritaire donc pas de soucis. Chambre très propre et avec toutes les nécessites. Situation idéale pour visiter Florence car un seul autobus a prendre pour aller ou retour.

vieille villa florentine trés agréable. chambres tres confortables. accueil, tenue de hotel nickel. un bémol : une côte de 5 OU 600 m à pied avant l'accès. possibilité d'un bus trés proche. Loin du tumulte de la ville : trés bien.

EXELENTE PONTO> ANDANDO, 20 MINUTOS DOS PRINCIPAIS PONTOS DE VISITA

Execelente hotel para no nível de 3 estrelas. Possui acomodações bem limpas e confortáveis. O banheiro possui um tamanho ideal e com aquecimento. Gostei também do atendimento, pois se mostraram exteremanete prestativos as nossas necessidades.

Realmente quedamos muy conformes con las instaciones del hotel y la atención del personal. La habitación muy espaciosa, el desayuno de buena calidad. Impecable. Muy recomendable especialmente si se cuenta con auto.

As instalções foram excepcionais, o café da manhã ótimo, o quarto muito confortável e bonito, nos auxiliaram a escolher restaurantes fantáticos. Um pouco distante do centro, mas com ônibus que para em frente e à apenas 10 minutos de tudo. Próximo da Piazza michelangelo, que vale muito a pena conhecer pela vista maravilhos de florença, bem do alto.

Bel hôtel (intérieur et extérieur), calme, confortable, petit déjeuner copieux, petite terrasse très agréable pour flâner le soir (même si très fréquentée aussi par les moustiques). A une exception près, personnel accueillant, serviable et discret. Bien situé si vous êtes motorisés ou bon marcheur (20 min au sud de Boboli, 30-40 min du vieux centre).

Hôtel un peu excentré mais au milieu de la verdure et des oiseaux : un havre de paix. Jolie villa, chambre spacieuse, personnel courtois, petit déjeuner en terrasse, et très bonnes adresses (restaurants)

un peu difficile à trouver ,mais une fois repéré ,une situation trés agréable.un joli parc vous accueille boisé en(presque) plein centre le premier jour 25 minutse à pieds et aprés une nuit de sommeil 15 minutes du "pont" vecchio"en ligne droite.l'hotel est une ancienne demeure Toscane avec des oiseux qui chantent à votre fenétre,situation reposante une petite terrasse pour prendre le petit déjeuner,un petit havre de repos avec un luxe ,un parking .si vous passez par Florence pas d'hésitation.

Régulièrement en voyage d'affaire à Florence, on a tout testé, des palais aux hôtels avec cafards dans la douche ... La Villa Betania est un havre de paix et de charme à un prix imbattable sur la ville !
