Southern Hotel & Villas Hoi An - هوي أن

We originally had booked a room at this hotel but paid extra to $15 to get a villa which was very nice with a great bathroom and near the pool. Their free hourly shuttle bus was great - they even collected our tailoring from the shop for us. Also when we went to Danang my wife discovered that she had left an item in the room. Southern Hotel delivered it to our Danang hotel at no cost to us. Our only problem was that the aircon wasn't cool enough for us. If we stayed there again we would ask for a fan in our room.

I stayed 10 nights in total at the Southern Hotel. The bad points is for example the breakfast as there is no variety and you get everyday the same food. Its buffet. The bread was always dry and kinda hard. There's nothing to do in that area but the hotel offers a free shuttle service to town. Was annoyed me the most is that my room was very very noisy. Never book a room that is in the same building as reception (all superior rooms are tho). You hear every single noise. I got woken up every morning between 6 and 7 as people checked-out, the phone was ringing or the air cons which were placed at my window front were running like crazy. Apart from that my windows could not be closed proper. There was always a gap between the frame and the glass so air and noise can go through easily.

This is a very nice hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was superb and the swimming pool and area surrounding was like an oasis. It was close to everything and had a complimentary free of charge bus running regularly to town from the hotel. I would certainly recommend staying here.

It is a lovely hotel with great staff, but it is to far from the citycenter although they have a shuttlebus every hour. Matrasses are extremely hard, shower has no waterpressure and you hear everything in the room, it's like people in the corridors standing right next to you.

we travelled vietnam for 2 weeks from hanoi to ho chi minh. we stayed at this hotel based on the ratings. however i would not stay there again. the staff is very pushy, the windows do not close in the room, so it is very noisy and i was not excited to find a mouse run past my feet while checking my email in the lobby. the rooms themselves were clean and comfortable.

My husband and I were traveling with our 2 boys (8) and (12) in Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia. My husnabd booked this hotel on line based on the great reviews given previously. We were not dissapointed. The Southern Hotel was a fantastic stay while in Hoi An. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Our rooms was very spacious and well equiped. Little details like flowers on the bed and sink made it a very special stay. The boys loved the large pool and spent a lot of time swimming. The hotel also provides a shuttle service into the old city every half an hour and have scooters and bikes available for hire. Only problem we had was with the water pressure in the shower. But all the positives of this great hotel out shone this problem. Very happy and would recommend to anyone heading to Hoi An.

The staff at this hotel were rude and bossy. They were sarcastic with me, and tried multiple times to charge me for things that were supposed to be free. They gave me the third degree every time I left the hotel and one evening when I left my wallet at the desk for safe keeping, I couldnt get it back when I got home. The majority of my stay I felt uncomfortable and unhappy.

The hotel room is quite big but it smelled of damp. The pool is an outstanding benefit and very relaxing and the breakfast area is also very nice. I liked the pastries. I found the staff were not very warm and I didn't like them pushing their tailor at us and taking our passports for the duration of our stay. However, overall it was a positive experience and one that I would recommend.

We found thge service to be friendly, the hotel clean and pleasant and the swimming pool and restaurant area very pretty.The (deluxe) rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much, the shuttle bus is very useful, and we would stay there again if we return to Hoi An

The hotel was really clean and welcoming . The pool made the stay very enjoyable . The proximity of the town made things convenient especially with the bus schutle. The only negative point is that the staff sold us a trip on the along bay which we were very much looking forward to. It turned out the whole trip was more or lease a scam (wrong boat,different rooms , no AC....) and we paid more than we should of.

This little boutique Hotel have got potential to be one of the best In Hoi-An. Regardless that is a bit out of town. The Hotel itself is pleasant - Architecture, Rooms and Bath are fine for the standard of Vietnam. The Pool is the very best they have to offer. Nice Bread for Breakfast - Though I don't understand why they have taken" Pho" of the menu ? Staff is trying their best and with a bit of International Service practice and knowledge I think they have got it!

This is a fantastic place to stay. A little way out of town so you avoid the traffic noise with a shuttle bus running you in & back every 1/2 hour. The villa's are very comfortable & clean & breakfast overlooking the pool on the terrace is a very enjoyable experience. When we just missed the shuttle after a long day, the hotel kindly ordered a taxi to pick us up at no cost. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel & its friendly staff; they went out of their way to make my family feel welcome & when we met tour guides and tourists who stayed there & raved about it, you know you have found a great deal.

We were staying here just after typhoon Ketsana hit the city. While other hotels were flooded and had no electricity or water this hotel was in no way affected by either the typhoon or floodings. It's a short taxi ride (about 1-1½ USD) from the center, pretty new and comfortable. Don't stay in the cheapest room category but go for Deluxe Villa or even better a suite (double the size of deluxe villa).

There are many plus points about this hotel, so i shall start with those first. the rooms are really big and the bed is pretty comfortable. The shower is powerful and the bathroom clean. The hotel's pool was a major plus point - a lovely setting and the perfect temperature. I could have spent ages in there. The buffet breakfast was also very pleasant with a good choice. The negative - one major thing really - the service of the staff. On arrival the safe in our room wouldn't open so my husband went to reception and asked for someone to come and look at it - we had a lot of valaubles on us and didn't want to leave them in the room unlocked. The receptionist said that someone would be down in 5 minutes. We waited for 2 hours (i fell asleep) and no one arrived. We then went back to reception to ask again for some help and we were told that the person who could fix the safe had now gone home and would not be back until the morning. The next morning we went down to ask for help again and one of the receptionists came back to the room with us and sorted out the problem - there was no special person who could fix the safe - anyone could have done it but the staff there just couldn't be bothered. Also, on our last night we asked for a wake up call - it never came. Fortunately we woke up anyone, lucky considering we had a flight to catch that day. Final point -the shuttle bus does not run to time and can be a pain to wait for

Vi har nydt at bo paa Southern hotel, dog er vi meget utilfredse med at de overbookede deres hotel, hvilket betød at vi ikke fik det værelse vi havde bestilt. Gentagende gange havde vi problemer i forhold til, at de efter faa dage flyttede vores ting uden at give videre besked om dette, hvilket vi fandt meget utilfredsstillende. Morgen maden var lidt kedelig og ensformig, men dejligt at man kunne nyde en hyggelig udsigt fra hotellets morgen-restaurant. Virkelig dejligt pool omraade. Lidt langt fra alting, men ikke noget problem hvis man som os syns det er hyggelige med en lille cykel tur eller tur med hotellets bus. Under vores ophold oplevede vi flere gange en rigtig daarlig service, som vi tror man kan faa langt bedre andre steder.

Hoi an by tilbyder bedre alternativer! Hotellet er mellem by og strand! Men ikke et både og, snarer et hverken eller! Dejlige værelser! I hvert fald deluxe ikke superior. Tag til byen i stedet

Hotellet levede meget op til vores forventninger. Det kan varmt anbefales.

Helt klart ett prisvart hotell. Fin, ren pool. Superfina rum, speciellt sviterna som ligger mot tradgaren och poolen och har stora panoramafonster. Mysig frukostmatsal utomhus. Personalen ar inte speciellt tillmotesgaende, men de lamnar en ifred och forsoker inte salja pa en en massa utflykter. Gratisbussen till stan stannar en bit utanfor centrum, sa man far ga.

Hotellet ligger ca. 15 min gang fra Hoi An centrum og også langt fra stranden. Det er en lang og kedelig gåtur ind til byen. Hotellets shuttle kører kun halvvejs, og stopper foran hotellets egen skrædder. Morgenmaden er lidt endsidig og udvalget er meget begrænset. Swimmingpoolen er god og pæn. Det trådløse internet virker ikke på værelserne. Værelserne er generelt af ældre dato. De såkaldte "Villas" er almindelige dobbeltværelser. Jeg kan ikke anbefale hotellet. Vælg et hotel tættere på byen.

Muy buena relacion calidad-precio.Furgoneta gratuita al centro cada media hora, buen desayuno y comidas. Buena piscina. Wifi gratis con ordenadores a disposicion.

Hotellet ligger litt for langt fra sentrum til at jeg vil velge bo der igjen. Hotellet i seg selv er helt OK. Litt lytt mellom rommene dog da rommet vi hadde hadde dør til naborommet.

Hotellet ligger ganska långt från centrum men det finns en shuttlebus som går en gång i halvtimmen så det är inget stort problem. Standardrummen är lite tråkiga. Poolen såg bra ut. Frukosten var ok.
