Maldron Hotel Smithfield - دﺑلن

Loved everything about this hotel. Bed was great and we both slept well even though I like soft beds and my husband, firm. Pillows left a little to be desired. Customer service was the best. Check in took 3 minutes, called down for a fall and it was up in 2 mins. Only downfall was not being able to find nearby open restaurants after 9pm in the area. There is a food store right next door and they have everything. Easy walk to many places we wanted to see. Only 10 min walk to Heuston Station - That was perfect! We ate breakfast at Chesterfield (only 12 euro for a Full Irish Breakfast) AWESOME and right near the station. Would stay again and again.

Close to 747 Airlink airport shuttle to Dublin Airport. Extremely close to Hop On Hop Off (red bus and green bus) bus stop. Just behind the Old Jameson Distillery. Unfortunately, not too much to eat nearby restaurant-wise. However, there is a market called FRESH (I think), right next door and you can get hot soups, sandwiches made-to-order, and snacks for a good price. Didn't get a chance to try the hotel breakfast or dinner. Rooms were roomy (included space with a table and two chairs) and TV was ok. Washrooms were clean however poor way of keeping water from shower from splashing onto bathroom floor. There's only a small piece of glass to separate you (no shower curtain) and rest of the bathroom. Bathroom felt a little cramped. All in all, a great stay! Quiet neighbourhood too.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. I frequently stay in Dublin North Inner City for work. Of the hotels in the area I think this enjoys the nicest location.

Nice hotel, but if you're a tourist driving, almost impossible to find (I'd been warned, but am very experienced traveler so didn't believe them). They need to publish their street address for GPS, not "Plaza" address. Staff efficient enough, but zero warmth and only answer questions, don't offer anything more. Things like wi-fi and parking harder than need be, location ok but a bit further away than ideal. Probably go back now I know how it works, but maybe not if I knew what I was getting in to. Room and quietness great.

15 minutes walking from the centre and a few meters there is a stop for Airlink to the airport, there's a cinema on the corner and a few cafes, very nice hotel and very comfortable, i would stay there again

The hotel was just okay. It was in a good location for where I wanted to be located. It's pretty much a no frills hotel, which was okay with me. The room was a little dingy. The paint was peeling on the woodwork and twice the soap dispensers were empty which leads me to believe the room cleaning staff did not pay attention to detail. The hallway smelled awful. It is very close to public transportation and has a lovely fresh food grocery store next door. I would rate this hotel as a C-plus.

It's the second time I've stayed at this hotel so that's why I chose it. I liked everything about this hotel. I'll stay here again when I come back.

Great hotel. We had a wonderful room with a wrap around patio. Wish we had stayed here longer

The hotel is in a rather seedy part of town. But, it's located in a new shopping center that is pretty nice. There's a great market next door and it's close to hop on hop off bus stops. The room was not great. One flat pillow per person, the carpet was dirty and the sheets felt like sandpaper. The housekeeping staff always made sure everything was clean, it's just the quality of the hotel itself that is lacking. The front desk staff go out of their way to help you; they are always ready to answer questions.

Two of my girl friends and I booked a room for a night. we expected a spacious room since it was 3 adults booked it. when we arrived we were informed that we had a double bed and a single bed. We arrivedat the room to realize that the double bed was just a glorified single bed. No way could two adults share this bed comfortably. The room was clean and tidy along with the hotel. it was safe and secure and held our luggage the next day while we went shopping. onlyvproblem was the small bed.

Rooms were really spacious,clean and comfortable. Service from the staff was amazing. was a great place to stay!

Staff was great, Room was very nice. Location was perfect. Good hotel restaurant or local market/deli next door. Good pubs nearby like cobblestone. Electric trolley just short walk away for east - west travel and easy walk across river to all sights and adventures south of river. when we go back to Dublin, we will stay at this hotel (Maldron-Smithfield) again!!

I found the hotel very central great to have the luas stop so near. I think it could do with more signage to help locate the hotel. The room was lovely. The only complaint I would say was that I felt like another guest the personal touch was missing but I would come back again.

Easy to find, friendly & helpful staff, clean & comfortable room, great city view. It ticked all the boxes and more. Surprisingly convenient car parking available adjacent to the hotel for a special hotel rate- competitively priced.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and was extremely impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, particularly the Duty Manager Ivana. Although check in time is not until Midday, I was allowed to occupy my room from 09.00am thereby saving me from having to cart luggage around until I checked in. The hotel is very clean and it is in the heart of Dublin with some wonderful traditional pubs very close by - I recommend the Cobblestone and The Tap.The Cobblestone has traditional Irish Music on certain nights and the Tap is an ideal pub to have Craic with the locals.I would certainly stay at this hotel again

Loved it, only 15 minutes walking from O'connell, very close to the hotel there's a nice cinema, places to eat and public transport if you don't feel like walking! The hotel was spotless, very clean and modern and staff was very friendly and helpful, i'll go back!!!!

Enjoyed my stay in the hotel. Location is very good for access to the city centre. Luas line is nearby and supermarket next door. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good value. I would return for further stays.

Hotel was a perfect location for us to attend a function in the Guinness Storehouse. Staff were friendly and efficient.

ALWAYS STAY HERE, THE STAFF ARE HELPFUL,CLEAN ROOMS, GOOD FOOD, HANDY FOR BUS AND TRAM SERVICES TO AND FROM DUBLIN ALSO AIRPORT.

Excellent ,great breakfast and comfortable beds.

Waiter disappeared on us during the lunch, but otherwise the place was perfect. Cannot complain about anything else. Beautiful interior, central location, 1min from LUAS. Perfect.

No broadband in a suite !!! Cable intrernet only and that didnt work. And it wasnt only me -the foyer had 3 of us on our laptops at 1am doing our business emails. One guy had been told it was because he was a mac user. Mine is a pc so that didnt hold water.greasy and dried put breakfast. i was down when breakfast opened so it had all obviously been prepared way too early .Everything sitting there way too long. For a hotel that sells itself as upmarket everything i needed was disappointing. The bed and a 5th floor room with a balcony were nice touches but i need the internet in my room. No internet is inexcuseable these days.

excellent hotel & staff, clean & modern, does great buffet style breakfast. Next door to the famous cobblestone bar where regulars turn up to play their instruments. Round the corner from St Michans church where you can see the mummies & touch hand of 800 year old crusader for good luck. Maybe not right in centre of Dublin but this good as very quiet at night, You can walk into town 10 -15 mins (level, no hills) or jump on tram (LUAS) cost just over 1 euro, they come every 5 mins. We prefered to walk as you will see loads of shops in Mary street. Our 2nd visit here, didnt leave review last time, wish I had as it would been same.

The convenience of the luas was excellent, very preferable if walking, Trying to get to the hotel is quite difficult when driving due to the vast number of 1 way streets.

stayed here for 1 night in Dec 2012 , arrved early staff at reception were very efficient and helpful and allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated, girl in restaurant were very cheerful and helpful,hotel is very well located near the Luas and has car park facilites,

As the trip was a suprise weekend for my other half and this was our first experience of ireland I was very dissapointed. When we arrived we were greeted by a very grumpy 'trainee' receptionist who informed us that there were no rooms available for us and we would have to wait over an hour, we were told to put our bags 'over there' (unlocked room with everyones luggage on view to the public). After he saw we were quite angry about this he suddenly announced there may be a room available after all, fancy that?! The room was okay, only one set of towels and no toiletries but was clean and the bed was comfy. The radiator was broken and clicked all night long which was very annoying. The location of the hotel is brilliant though, 5 mins walk from anywhere and good bus/tram services close by. To be fair to the hotel the man who was on the desk when we checked out was lovely and very friendly for 6am! I would not stay at this hotel again, over priced with little effort made by staff but our time in the city itself was amazing and we would certainly go back.

I was quite surprised at how nice the hotel was. I am familiar with the area but was very happy about how comfortable it was.

All good and clean with pleasant and helpful staff.

This hotel is not next to any major sites except the Jameson's Distillery. That being said, it is right on the tram line and the Hop On/Off route and about a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar. Next door is a grocery store with grab and go breakfast, lunch and dinner options. We saved heaps eating here for breakfast over the hotel buffet. The hotel doesn't look like much upon arrival, but the rooms are clean and comfortable enough. The staff is very helpful and they do offer luggage storage. The dated looking restaurant actually serves up a decent dinner.

had a wonderful time in the hotel

The hotel was clean and nice with very helpful staff. The internet access was lacking and the beds were not extremely comfortable. The shower window also didn't really block much of the water so the floor was soaking wet when you stepped out of the shower. However, it is in a up and coming area and right but the Tram. Overall decent place to stay in Dublin.
