We arrived at the Pisa airport late in the evening, rented a car and drove to Hotel Verdi Pisa for one night. The receptionist was very friendly and helpfull at odd hours, hotel location and access by car OK, the room was large enough to fit well two adults and two kids, the breakfast had good enough variety. Also it was a nice walk from the hotel via shopping streets to the leaning tower district.

- Excellent location: 15 mins walk to the tower, 5 mins to Piazza di Cavalieri and 10 mins to Corso Italia - Clean, fresh towels every day - Strange toilet, there was 10 cm space between the toilet seat and the shower wall so you have to sit in a strange position - Shower flooded - Room was dark, no ceiling lamp - Friendly staff, helped with luggage - Ok breakfast: white rolls, cheese, ham, corn flakes, milk, yoghurt, croissants, cookies, juice and coffee from a machine

Hotel Verdi is easy walking distance to all the sights in Pisa. The staff is very helpful - I had trouble with the internet reception in my room and was able to switch rooms without any problem. About the internet, it is quite expensive, about 10euro/day. I thought this was a bit excessive. If reception is important to you, ask for a room facing the courthouse, that has the best reception. Also, there are two computers in the lobby that you can use if you don't want to pay. Overall would recommend, but think the internet is too expensive.

Our room was clean enough, but sort of run down - marks on the walls, that sort of thing. Elevators were nerve-fraying, quite a bouncy ride, especially with three adults and luggage. Included breakfast buffet was mediocre, the least impressive we saw during our three weeks in Italy. Location was good, tucked away on a quiet street but only steps from the Arno River and the Corso Italia shopping district, and a nice 10-min walk to the Leaning Tower, etc.

Lovely renovated old buidling, perfect location for seeing the sights of Pisa. We had a family room (sleeps 5) which had an amazing amount of space. Also, having travelled in Italy before, the breakfast was much better than we were expecting with a wide (if fairly basic) choice of things to eat. The staff were all friendly and efficient, and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Hotel very convenient to centre of Pisa/tower. Check in @ 12pm very easy. Breakfast was a good combination of protein /carbs but no fruit. Coffee machine made amazing espresso/cappucino! Hotel in quiet area but very close to happening street with lots of shops/restaurants. Front desk staff spoke English but appreciated my attempt at Italian. Clean room with small bathroom but adequate for 2 people. Beds comfy. TV /safe/mini bar in room. Fan kept room cool but window was able to be opened to quiet street. Parking right out front of hotel. Staff called taxi to airport which is about 1.5m away.

Very spacious room with extra beds to accommodate the whole family, walking distance to all the major tourist attractions and good breakfast.

My third stay at the Hotel Verdi and again impressed by location, comfort and staff attitudes . An excellent place to stay at a more than reasonable price.

I stayed at this hotel during Pisa's La Luminara festival. It is two short blocks from the Arno River so the location was perfect for this event. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was much nicer than I expected for such a reasonable rate. The breakfast was ample and satisfying. It is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Leaning Tower. I'd recommend it for business or pleasure travel.

This hotel was very pleasant, It is a meandering walk from the tower and close also to the river and the restaurants. I felt very safe and secure in this hotel and would recommend it to any solo women travellers.

The hotel is situated right opposite the town court building, about 15 minutes' walk from the Leaning Tower. The hotel -LT walking route is pleasant in itself as it leads along the picturesque town centre. As for a three star facility it is well maintained, clean and reasonably comfortable. Buffet breakfast is ample and selection varied. Only some reception desk clerk seemed not attentive enough

This place was nice, handy location and clean. However, don't pick it if you need any kind of internet access while you stay. Mobile phone coverage was very spotty through-out also.

Located just north of the Arno River. Halfway between train station and tower. We took a cab (big luggage) to hotel and walked to tower. Can walk or bus to hotel if not heavily burdened. Staff polite and helpful. Good breakfast.

The hotels location is great 10 minute walk to the tower and 10 min walk to station. The hotel is what we expected for the price its very basic but its clean enough and the reception staff are very helpful if all you want is a place to pout ya head down this hotel is fine but if you like a bit of luxury maybe you should look elsewhere pisa its self is nice but there really isnt that much todo i would recommend staying in florence and going to pisa for a day make sure you take enough money thou as italy is the most exepnsive place i have ever been

A fantastic location easy to get around, very helpful staff and extremily clean. I would definately stay there again.

This hotel was wonderful. It's family owned, and the employees were very helpful and all spoke excellent English. The hotel is small, the rooms are small and the decor is outdated, but you can't beat the location. It's a short cab ride from the airport, a very short or moderate walk from the train station, and a nice walk to all there is to see in Pisa. For the price, this is about as good as it gets. Positives - location, staff helpfulness, complimentary breakfast, price Negatives - small rooms, outdated decor

A reasonably priced hotel in a good location in Pisa, close to the central main street, bars and a 15 minute walk to the leaning tower and other attractions.

Very nice facility. Large room. Unfortunately a thunderstorm hit while staying there which shut down the a/c. Breakfast had a nice assorment to choose from. Staff was helpful.

the hotel is old and not maintained as weel. the aircondition was noisy as hell the elivator didnt work (4th floor) the location is very good

Great location, great price. I had problems with wireless internet connection in my room, since the router didn't have the power to reach it. I asked at the front desk and was allowed to change to another room where I had no problems. I was very happy with the way the problem was resolved and was met with considerable kindness. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Convenient location. But the single room I stayed in had a flaky paint on the ceiling from a damp patch, and you had to sit on the toilet SIDEWAYS!! because the shower was bang up against the toilet. It could have done with a mirror in the bedroom. It was gloomy in the the bathroom. The breakfast was ok....just ok. For all that I would stay there again but I would check the room out first. What makes this Hotel ok stay at is the price..

We arrived at night, the staff was unsupportive, we didn`t get extra bed, one of us had to sleep on the floor for 7 nights. In the room we found very dirty carpet, stains... few steps barefoot - feet were dirty. Toilet seat broken, fridge and safe not working, room was very small. Breakfast menu was the same for all stay, so I think it`s the same all the time. Breakfast lady was mean, rolled eyes and made faces on every request. Fridge got changed and safe was fixed by the only helpful member of the staff.

Not a bad little place, just a 5 minute walk from the main historical center. Several excellent restaurants very close by. Air-con wasn't the best in the recent heatwave, but new double glazing shuts out all noise from scooters and revellers, so no problems getting to sleep. Room size was excellent, clean & comfortable if a little dated. Would stay again without a doubt.

Very convenient location. Ideal for short stays. Room was clean. Breakfast was continental and adequate. Quite close to bus stop......we travelled to airport by bus. We walked to Leaning Tower.....good walk .

This was a great hotel in a great location. It is an older hotel, which we had requested. The room was clean, with an updated bathroom, and quite quaint .... just what we would expect for a hotel room in Italy. The staff was very helpful, both with our accommodation and restaurant recommendations, and there was always a nice buffet breakfast. We were able to walk to everything, including the train station.

A very nice hotel, not American in style, which is a positive. Only a 7-10 Euro taxi ride from the train station and Galileo Galilei airport. The room has satelite TV, so a few channels are available in languages other than Italian. The breakfast is convenient and coffee is excellent. One block from River Arno, and many cafes, restaraunts, shops are within minutes by foot. Across the square is the house where Galileo was born. Square of Miracles (Leaning Tower & cathedral) is only a 15 minute walk. Only drawback is no wireless internet, must use in hotel lobby; trivial problem.

Loved Pisa and this was a decently located base from which to explore it. Hotel is quite plain. Breakfast was basic and the air con didn't work properly but as we were hardly in the room it did not matter too much. The bedding, towels were spotless and the ensuite facilities were clean. Free safe in the room and sky TV (why you would want to watch TV though is beyond me). Internet facilities in lounge at 1euro / hour - cheap, but did not use! It is a two / three star hotel and you get what you pay for - fair and simple.

Nice little hotel in a quiet area of Pisa. Staff were very helpful and spoke fairly good English. Breakfast was not to bad, the usual european breakfast. Great location right in between the tower and the train station. I would ge back here in a heart beat.

We arrived from airport and our room was ready and waiting. First time in history that there were 4 towels, glasses etc for our little family of 4 - well done! Staff very pleasant and spoke some English and we spoke some Italian so all went well. Breakfast good but the hostess had no English and was a little rude. However, when we thanked her on leaving in her own lingo she was a little happier! Very central - would definitely use this little place again :-)

Aparently this hotel used to be a convent (way back when), but you'd never know it to see it now. Hotel staff were friendly and informative (with excellent English) and the breakfast was expansive! The room was great, with comfy beds and traditional (yet modern) shuttered windows overlooking the church next door and the square out front. It's close to numerous restaurants, cafes and bars and only a 20 minute walk from the leaning tower/duomo (Campo dei Miracoli). Considering we literally plucked this hotel from the internet (with a little help from Trip Advisor), it was an excellent choice - a better hotel for the price would be very hard to find! Benissimo!

We were only actually at the hotel for one night and we left at 5am to catch our flight so we only have a limited experience. The hotel was within an easy walking reach of the train station and it was only 13 Euros to the airport by taxi. The hotel staff were helpful and booked our taxi etc. Our room was quite small but it had everyhting we needed and the shower was hot and powerful!

Good location- very near the river, 5 min walk to bars and restaurants, 15 min walk to the leaning tower. Room was very basic, only 1 thin pillow each, very small but clean. The service from the receptionists varied greatly- the young guy was very helpful but the older guy with grey hair was rude, he kept telling us every time we walked into the lobby that we had shut the hotel door incorrectly and made us shut it again- we felt that he was trying to wind us up.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Verdi during our 4 day trip to Pisa and found it a superb base for exploring the city. It has a real italian character about it. Staff are helpful,speak english and are polite. The hotel iteself is situated just off the river, pretty much half way between central station and the leaning tower. It is a 5 minute walk to the main shopping street. Breakfast is wonderful and is served from 7am-10pm, perfect if you want a lazy morning. Rooms are clean, well equipped and air conditioned. Would definatley stay there again!

This hotel was ok. The staff was nice, but did make us feel uncomfortable a couple times when they snickered and spoke Italian. Beware of the drinks in the refrigerator...they are expensive!

The Hotel Verdi turned out to be a great choice for us. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the staff on reception. The location of the hotel was ideal for the leaning tower and there were plenty of places to eat close to the hotel. The Hotel Verdi was a great place for a short stay in Pisa.

This hotel was perfect for our requirements, the distance bewteen both the main attractions in Pisa and our arrival airport was excellent. The overall cleanliness and comfort was very good. The shower however did fill up quicker than it could empty, which meant speed was of the essence when showering! Apart from this and the occasional language barrier this was a very good hotel and I would have no hesitation in re-visiting or recommending this hotel. The fact that there were numerous English channels on the television was also a bonus!

The rooms are comfortable enough, but the local scooter park is next to the hotel so is very noisy. I looked up WiFi finder and the Hotel has an entry only to find that there wasnt, despite "Hotel Verdi" appearing in my list of wireless networks. Breakfast was very poor, especially the awefull coffee. On a positive note €1 for a bottle of sparkling water in the mini bar must be rated as a bargain these days.

Very good location, poor breakfast, comfortable and clean. Staff not very helpful. We got a special offer......I wouldn't like to have paid full price. Overall good but nothing special.

Great hotel, good size room, nice walk (15 mins) to leaning tower. We only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay longer if there was was to do.

Fuimos solo a ver la torre, en ese contexto estuvo bien porque estaba cerca, pero como hotel hay varias cosas que arreglar, les falta luz en las habitaciones, instalaciones eléctricas deficientes, el A/C no funciona, el desayuno pobre y de mala cara en general los que atienden

Personalet var venlige. Lidt mørkt værelse. Morgenmaden god uden dog at være prangende. Hotel ligger ikke langt fra det pæne Pisa. Men vejen til hotellet var ikke så hyggelig.

Beliggenheten var helt grei. Taxi fra flyplassen 12 euro. Gåavstand til Tårnet. Veldig flott, men utrolig ubehagelig med alle gateselgerne. Det svermet av dem. Vi ble litt skuffet over Pisa som by, men det hadde nok litt med været å gjøre. Tok buss til Lucca. Likte oss bedre der. Betjeningen på hotellet var veldig hyggelige og god frokost. Sengene var utrolig harde så det ble litt lite søvn.
