The hotel was a 15 minute walk from the main train station, Kobenhavn H, which links you to everything in the city. There is a large mall next door with a movie theater and many restaurants as well. Each room has free wireless internet that was reasonably quick and reliable, and the TV had enough channels to watch. The rooms and lobby were clean and modern, and the exercise room had a treadmill, two stationary bikes, a lat pulldown machine, some free weights, a bench, a steam room, and a sauna. Overall, the hotel was nice, clean, not far from the city, and relatively affordable.

The rooms are small - so if you are American be prepared :-) But the rooms where clean and very modern. The staff are all really helpful - and breakfast was excellent - be sure and try the Danish pastries as they are the real deal. I would stay here again - about $15 for a cab into the city - but only 10-15 walk if not too cold. I really enjoyed my time in Copenhagen and this hotel was perfect base to travel out everyday. It has a really nice sauna and gym too. Only downside was the lack of space for storing you luggage. Overall this is a great modern hotel for staying in Copenhagen.

Room was cold and after repeated attempts of telling hotel staff they did nothing. Staff also seemed not to care and very aloof.

Loved the room - I like simple rooms with modern furniture and bathrooms. This hotel had very bright and new bathrooms that were clean. The room itself was very comfortable for two people.

I didnt know it will take 30 minutes to walk to the main shopping street..it feels soo far to walk 30 min as it is very cold most of the days..

Budget standard, not much extra space for a single person in a double room. For this price, you get a hotel much closer to the city where you don't HAVE TO use a taxi. Also rather cold being so close to the sea on a windy winter day

I stayed when it was all new furnished few years ago , Now they have started cahrging for Breakfast , It needs some new furnishing especially the carpets on the hall way and room needs some new linnen

The views from the superior double room were great, the room itself was clean and modern with free wifi, but it was also small. Located near a shopping mall with plenty of restaurants and ATM, but the location of the hotel is far from the center and near a highway.

Great view and modern design! Room was a bit small but the arquitecture of the hotel, the view and the designer furniture are really nice!! Good breakfast buffet, even though not included in the room fee. Location is great! We actually live in Copenhagen but it felt reely good to spend one night with this view and relaxed atmosphere after getting married ;-)

Great location and parking facilities just outside the entrance - perfect for business travelers!

This was a real bargain when you compare the comforts with the price. You are a little removed from downtown but the train station is a five minute walk and the 1A bus is only a couple of minutes farther away. Don't discount using busses in Copenhagen - you can transfer between train and bus at no cost within 1 hour. The hotel is thoughtfully and beautifully designed - the only hotel room that I've ever taken a picture of. The staff was very helpful and everything was spotlessly clean. I'll be staying there again if I ever am lucky enough to go back to Copenhagen.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and lovely. There is a mall just around the corner. If I ever went back to Copenhagen, I would stay there.

Relatively new hotel in smart Scandinavian design. Two mornings there were no empty tables at the breakfast restaurant, and finding a parking space was a big hazzle, although it was not cheap. The neighbourhood is a bit depressing, and it is a decent walk to reach Central CPH. All-in-all it was just ok, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

Nice location on the water - nice walking area. Staff very friendly and courteous, rooms very clean, nice little bar overlooking the water and food was good. Easy stroll to the meat packing district - great restaurants there. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, close enough to walk to Tivoli Gardens. The only complaint we had was the breakfast, for example, bacon so overcooked and stuck together like one big mess. It seems it would take very little effort to make a much more presentable breakfast!

We spent a lovely day and evening. View over water was great. The staff were very attentive friendly and made a point of looking after us. The hotel design exudes Danish chic combining both form and function. Hotel is 15 min walk along the water from Tivoli and the main train station. Water buses stop at hotel and offer an alternate means of transport.

Wooden floors in standard rooms in this hotel can create a lot of noise from adjoining rooms or when guests are departing starting at 5am! No soap in bathroom 2 days running, no kettle in rooms unless staying in a superior room. Otherwise staff are friendly and try their best. Wi-fi does not work in all rooms but computers can be connected via cable which the hotel is happy to provide. Irons not present in rooms but can be requested.

I recently spent a night at Copenhagen Island during a short business trip to Copenhagen. While the room itself was nice, as was the view out of the large Copenhagen Canal, there were some detriments. The staff were, to say the least, unengaged in providing a decent service, and were unhelpful unless pestered.

New hotel. Situated next to shopping centre. good internet service. No kettle in room for tea or coffee.

The hotel location was great. But our room was very small. Hotel it self was not very accessible from the train station and had to carry all our bags down a big set of stairs as there were no lifts. Hotel restaurant service was very poor. We waited 20 min to order our food and another 45 min for our food to be served. During breakfast we were asked to leave the restaurant before we finished our food because they had to get ready for lunch and couldn't wait for another 5 min.

On the last night of our stay, there were extremely severe thunderstorms that caused damage throughout the city, including to the hotel. Two of the three elevators were out of service and there was water in the lobby. Many of the rooms in the hotel, including ours, were flooded during the course of the storm. The rain blew in through the doors to the balcony that were closed tightly. To their credit, the hotel offered to move us to a different property since there were no other rooms availalble in the hotel to move us to. We had laid out wet clothes all over the room and decided to stay rather than move at that point since we were leaving the next day. The rooms are not large and there is not a logical spots for two pieces of luggage. But the room was quiet and comfortable.

The hotel was a bit further from the main train station than I expected but it is one stop on the S-tog train from the train station or a 15-minute walk. The walk along the water to center was pleasant. The neighborhood around the hotel was very sleepy and the restaurant options were limited to the shopping mall next door. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. It was not large and it was a bit complicated to walk around both of our suitcases. But it was a fine stay overall. The staff at the front desk were helpful and helped me to address a situation that arose as a result of the very severe thunderstorms during our first stay during the weekend.

We found the hotel decor very tasteful and modern. Close to subwsy though if wslking, it is 20 mins to the city centet. It was warm (july) and the A/c did not quite do the trick. Food was a bit pricey but overall it was a very nice hotel.

Expensive I thought but a very nice hotel. Location a bit too far from the action of city center. Great for business travel. Walk to the hop-on hop-off sight-seeing bus stop was a bit of a hike. My room was very nice with an awesome view of the water and very nice bathroom fixtures. Beds were extremely soft, which I personally dislike and find uncomfortable. Breakfast was pricey approx USD thirty dollars per person but a full spread. Unfortunately they was no alternative or offer for a continental type breakfast.

This hotel was great. It is right next to a shopping mall with all kinds of restaurants and a bakery for breakfast. 30 minute walk to the central train station which is right across the street from Tivoli. Buy a boat tour ticket at the hotel desk and get on the boat just outside the hotel. You can get on and off whenever you like. This saves on the walking if you choose. Very quiet location but also very relaxing!!

This hotel is a terrific value in a country in which nothing is cheap. It is about a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride into the main part of town, but the walk is along the harbor and absolutely lovely. If you stay in a more central, expensive hotel, you get the crowds, noise and litter with it. At the Island, it is quiet and clean. Standard room is small, but not like NYC - you can actually wLk around the bed, and there is a desk, and small workout room onsite + bike rentals. Front desk staff friendly.

very small room with room for only one suitcase. otherwise very clean and modern room. friendly and helpfull staff. King bed was actually two twins shoved together. Difficult for togetherness. Very hard to find this hotel if you are in driving yourself. Parking is a problem if you arrive late, as it is everyware in the city.

Stayed for two nights on business. The staff was very accommodating, helping with business center needs, car service, directions, etc. Rooms were small, but well-appointed. Breakfast was way above average. The location is good if you're attending a conference, or wan to shop at the mall next door, but the immediate area has little else to recommend it. For being so close to Tivoli and the central train station (I walked it in 15 mins), it has none of the charm of Copenhagen city center. Other reviews cited bland decor and stiff employees and I can see that, but overall, I thought it was a good choice and would make it again - definitely for the price we paid versus what other properties were offering.

The hotel had a new, though somewhat sterile atmosphere due to modern architecture. Rooms were clean, adequate size with modern furnishings and attendants quite friendly. Very nice views on the canal side of hotel. Only negative is it is good 20 minute walk to center of town where the activity abounds.

This hotel was very nice and had several nice amenities. Room was very nice and modern. Fitness room was nice, especially the steam and sauna. Restaurant was nice and the food was good. Internet worked great. I thought the staff was a little impersonal...not bad, just not great. Location was near a business district but a little out of the way from the city center.

This is my first review although I have stayed at the hotel many times, both in business and pleasure. The hotel has an inspiring architecture and the oceanfront rooms have a fantastic view of the harbor. The hotel is very quiet and invites to a relaxing stay in comfortable rooms. The rooms are not big, but well outfitted, well maintained and clean. I must say, that the arrangement of the hotel has made it one of my favorite hotels in Copenhagen. The staff is very polite and helpful, when ask upon. They have always solved my requests, but I would prefer more outwards and aware manner from some of the staff. The location of the hotel is about 15-20 min walk from the city center, which can be somewhat inconvenient. You can rent a bicycle from the hotel, which is an excellent way to shorten your travel around the city. I am looking forward to my next stay at the hotel

The hotel is right on the canal, in a beautiful setting, among interesting steel and glass office buildings, and next to a shopping center. It is a block away from the 11A Bus, which circulates around the central area sights, and Central Station. New, Clean, spacious by the standards of Copenhagen, but definitely pricy.

If you are looking for prostitutes you can find them three blocks from this hotel. It is also a 20min walk from the central train station OR a stop on the metro. The breakfast was very expensive, and you may not be able to find a table. But the food is pretty good. Staff was friendly and the hotel looks good. The rooms are small even for Europe. I was happy with my stay but it was not a rave.

This hotel is rather new. Staff are very pleasant and gave us an upgrade looking out onto the water. Interior and rooms are very modern and clean. There appears to be some type of shopping centre and cinema multiplex right next door. But the location is dreary; very gray colours surround and there is no "street scene". For transport one must climb up external concrete steps and take the overbridge to the train station which is fortunately very close to Copenhagen Central. You need to go here to find a more lively and interesting place with small stores and at least some atmosphere. If you want gain the feeling of Old Copenhagen then don't stay here. Stay in the more central and older areas rather than a redeveloped wharf that is so lacking in character you could be staying almost anywhere in the world it's so bland.

Was a wonderful staff, good Hotel and not a bad walk to the Centrum area of Copenhagen. Breakfast cost is too expensive and the location of other options for breakfast is scarce unless you wait until 10 when the shopping area next door opens. Very pleasant room, clean and very well maintained.

I would recommend not using this hotel if you are a serious business person. The most fundamental thing that I require when I travel is the ability to communicate with my team via email, and to be able to do work via the internet. I was given a room on the 5th floor, where there is absolutely no signal at all. Requesting help from the staff just resulted in them contradicting me, and telling me it must have been my computer which was at fault. I spent many unhappy hours hunched over an uncomfortable lobby table trying to get my work done. Also, the restaurant staff are simply not up to the job. They are overworked, and service is unbearably slow. Apart from that, the hotel is modern, though modernity comes at the expense of comfort. I still find the sterile atmosphere in the lobby a creepy memory.
