We immediately liked the feel of the hotel once we stepped in. Our room was of a good size and the bathroom was spacious, which is great. Everything looked relatively new and were well maintained. There were many electrical sockets for us to charge our items. The hotel is located just 3 mins away from Exit C of Deng Shi Kou Station so that made travelling very easy. And Wangfujing was a straight road down, with Fobrbidden City just a a few streets away after Wangfujing. The receptionists were friendly and the concierge/bellboys were very very helpful! We really appreciated their tips and friendliness. It felt great returning to the hotel each day. And do try the street vendor across the road for a Beijing pancake breakfast! Delicious! We loved exploring the hutongs behind the hotel too.

Clean and comfortable. We had exec. rooms so breakfast was included. Otherwise breakfast alone can cost a bunch. 2 minute walk to the train and 5 minute walk to famour shopping street. Service was excellent. Took about 45 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's in a great location, Dengsheku station is right beside and all the main attractions nearby. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Starbucks is across the road if you have a hankering for a Western breakfast too, or the hotel's room service breakfast is pretty good value too. Overall superb experience.

I had a really enjoyable time here knowing that whenever I got tired of seeing sights, I'd be able to go back to a comfortable, clean, and just generally superb hotel room with wonderful staff and service. My friend and I switched to this hotel after our first one told us there'd be no hot water for the first week (what???), and we're really glad for the switch. Location is convenient for subway line 5 (right at the hotel), but tiananmen is still a 30-minutes walk away. Wangfujing pedestrian street is about 15 minutes walk. Cabs in this area were really hard to catch, which was a bit of an annoyance. This is a good hotel for business travelers who need to be close to Wangfujing and leisure travelers who want to be close to tiananmen square. However, for me (in town to see friend), this location was not very convenient because few people actually live in this central part of town. And again, with cabs so hard to hail in the area (lots of hotels, tourists, demand), it wasn't actually very convenient.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Its in an ideal location if you're in Beijing to do some sightseeing and shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of the staff speak enough English to get by and the language barrier wasn't an issue at all.Our check in was a bit slow and the room wasn't ready but the staff were able to fix it and a new room was sorted out immediately. The beds were really comfortable and the room was clean and nicely decorated. Our room included the happy hour drinks and snacks which were a nice way to wind down after busy days. Some music would have been nice with the happy hour set up. The breakfast buffet was great and the coffee perfect. We would definately use this hotel again.

If you want a excellent hotel, with friendly and helpful staff then the Park Plaza Beijing is the hotel for you. Handy to the main shopping area and other Beijing 'must see' attractions.

This hotel will be my home each time I come to Beijing. The standard of satisfaction is unbelievably high for a four star hotel. It is very clean. I was upgraded to a de luxe room which was unexpected but made me feel very welcome. The amenities are remarkably satisfactory. The service of the front desk, concierge, and room cleaners was efficient. They were attentive to my needs. The fact that it is set back from the main road is for me an advantage as it has a quiet, secluded atmosphere to it, yet it is just a few steps away from main road and a few blocks away from Wangfujing promenade. There is a Starbucks with free wifi right in front of the entrance. Across the road on the left side of the hotel, there are fine dining restaurants. If one is on a tight budget, there is a small convenience store and small eateries patronized by the locals along the street on the lower left side of the hotel which is very helpful.. To top it all, I got a surprise birthday cake right in my room courtesy of the Front Office Manager. With my budget, I couldn't ask for more guys. Will certainly be back when in Beijing.

My wife and I stayed at the Park Plaza Beijing last week for three nights. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Fantastic location, only a couple of blocks from the Wangfujing market (best seen at night) and a reasonable walk from the Forbidden City. Make sure you go for the upgrade. For about $50 per night you get a larger room with a view, a buffet breakfast that's the best I've ever experienced, and a happy hour that serves what amounts to a reasonable dinner along with complimentary drinks. The staff is exceptional. You could not ask for better service. There is one thing that I would mention. Many cab drivers do not seem to know where the Park Plaza Hotel is, even though it's very well located in the center of the city. This seems to have to do with the fact that the Park Plaza is a relatively new hotel. The staff is well aware of this issue. Make sure you have a detailed map with the location of the hotel that you can show your cab driver (in Chinese). But do not let this minor issue keep you from staying at the Park Plaza.

We stayed in 3 other hotels for our China trip. The location is ideal and the staff's English was exceptional.

Excellent service and room quality. Tip - Buying breakfast through room service can be cheaper than having the Room+breakfast reservation. Some staff may not speak English, I don't see that as a problem. Anyway, we had an iphone app that helped with Mandarin.

This is a great hotel. Everything was clean and the service was outstanding. All the lobby staff spoke perfect English. Wangfujing street was about 5-10 min. walk from hotel. Plenty of food options to choose from within 5-10 mins. of the hotel as well. Overall, really enjoyed the Park Plaza and would definately stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Beijing.

Clean and well-located hotel. We stayed here on our way into China. I would recommend this hotel, BUT, we stayed at the Regent Beijing next door on the way out of China and it was AWESOME. I think we paid slightly less for this hotel than the Regent. I'd pay about $40/night extra for the Regent but would choose the Park Plaza Wangfujing if the difference were more than that. The breakfast here was good but very expensive. Not worth $46 per couple. I don't know how much it costs if it is included in the room price.

awesome location, great friendly and responsive staff who speak excellent english, nice room, relaxing lounge with tasty cocktails. For what you pay per night its hard to beat. A solid 4-star hotel at 3 star prices.

This is a very nice hotel with excellent service. When we arrived, we were offered an upgrade to a suite at, what I thought was a reasonable price. The room is very very comfortable. I also must stress that staff are extremely friendly. It has a great location, only 10 mins or so of walking distance to Wangfujing, the central shopping area. This hotel is highly recommended!

We had a very nice 8 night stay at this hotel with a few minor issues. There was water leaking from the ceiling in our room, it wasn't worth getting a new room over though. One night upon returning to the hotel the door to our room malfunctioned and it took 30 minutes to fix. I was offered a cup of the worst tea they had (lipton tea in China?? really??) for my troubles. In all it was an enjoyable stay but I would probably choose a different hotel next time. The location, being so close to the subway is really hard to beat!

The 3 night stay was fine. The buffet breakfast had everything you could want. Some of the service for evening meals was VERY slow but the food ws good. Everything was clean.

The hotel is amazing. Very new, concierge was very helpful and the location was good (the map of Beijing is much bigger than it looks). It took 10mins to walk to Wangfujing Rd. The concierge can organise a day tour in Xian to see the Terracotta Warriors but you need to organise the flights yourself. I would strongly suggest this method as Xian city itself was a tourist hungry city (they rip you off wherever they can!) What took me by surprise was the FREE WIFI!! It was great! Best hotel I have ever stayed in!!

this is a great hotel, clean, convenient, nice and friendly staff, less then 5 min walk to subway, i will definitely recommend again. for the price we paid, it is definitely worth the money. My mom and i did not encounter any problem during our stay there. you should even try the hotel massage, thou a bit expensive, but it is definitely worth the cost.

Park Plaza is in a great location for seeing Beijing. Walking distance to most places and a subway station very close. Make sure to get the hotel name in Chinese for the cab driver as it is a relatively new hotel and even with the hotel card, they still had trouble finding it. Overall, it was a great place to stay in Beijing

We decided to stay at this hotel after reading the reviews from both hotels.com and trip advisor, and we were not disappointed. The room was lovely and comfortable, and we were allowed to check in early after arriving on the train from Shanghai in the morning. The subway station is just around the corner and we were conveniently located near the center of Beijing, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. We ate at the hotel restaurant, Oodles, once and it was quite good. We also ordered room service once which was also very good. We did not, however, have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that particular service. The staff and concierge services were very helpful in making restaurant reservations for us and providing instructions to taxi drivers. I very highly recommend this lovely hotel for anyone staying in Beijing.

This hotel could not have a better location. Near everything and set back from a main thoroughfare that could have been noisy if actually on the main road. The extra package for the business lounge, Wi-Fi and breakfast was fully worth it. I would recommend it to anyone.

We had an awesome stay here, only a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants, etc. A comfortable, clean hotel at a reasonable price.

We spent three nights at the Park Plaza in Beijing, and it was excellent. They had the softest bed I've ever slept on in China, beautifully furnished rooms, and a great location (There is a subway station below the adjacent Regent Hotel tower). This is a fairly central location in Beijing, in a very upscale neighborhood (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Bugatti dealerships as well as Gucci and Burberry stores). I was more than satisfied with this hotel, and the cost was great. We stayed in another hotel in town previous to this which cost twice as much and wasn't anywhere near as good. Anytime I go to Beijing in the future, I will be staying at the Park Plaza. Hands down the best international hotel experience I've ever had, and I've been around the block a few times.

We arrived at the hotel late at night right from the airport and found out we don't have the rooms we reserved. The reaons was over booking. We spent more than an hour at the lobby, waiting, and eventualy had to take smoking rooms that fortunately was not smoky and got compensation of free breakfasts. Conclusion: confirm reservation 24 hours before!

Hotel was perfect. 3 minute cab from forbidden city. Great restaurants surrounding hotel. Many museums. Every hotel staff person was more than helpful!

The location here is very convenience with only one-minute walking distance to MTR station. The decoration is new and the price is reasonable when comparing to the other hotels in Wangfujing area. There's a near-by Starbucks locates at the opposite side of hotel together with other restaurants around the other corners. There's menu targeted for one person and the price is reasonable too. Condition of the rooms are very good, just the showers are not movable.

Good location, close to subway station, and close to shopping area in wangfujing. However, the room is small and a little outdated.

We asked for an upgrade at check in and were allocated a double room and a suite as we were a family of 5.Very good value as this included breakfast and the use of the club room for tea/coffee/drinks.Rooms were great and the hotel is very convenient being placed right above the subway station besides being a short walk to Wanfujing.Would stay here again for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Park Plaza over Easter. The rooms are a good size, very clean, with tasteful decor. The location is brilliant close to Tiananmen sq, Forbidden city etc. The Park Plaza is great value for money and I thoroughly recommend it.

We had a reservation of a king sized bed room which was not available when we got there. we were offered a twin sized bed room nad an insignificant compensation.

Extraordinary value for money. Extremely helpful staff. Immaculate in every respect. Perfect location.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting the wall, have not one bad thing to say about the hotel. The staff were fantastic, room was well appointed and the location excellent.

Very nice hotel. Upgraded to the club level and enjoyed a very nice buffet breakfast and happy hour with enough appetizers to fill you up so that you could skip dinner! Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were well appointed and very, very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel!

As you check in you are told that the internet booking is lacking and you should upgrade. The upgrade is not worth the price nor do they tell the truth about the entire upgrade package. I was was told I would get free internet with the upgrade, but free internet is part of the original booking. The "happy hour' is a joke. There is little choice of food or dirink to warrent upgrades.

Very new and classy hotel, centrally located, friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean room, modern deco, subway station just around the corner, small convenient store across the street, a little hard to find since it is at the back side of another new hotel... taxi drivers might not know the hotel because it is very new. Great value (my room didn't come with breakfast thou) for this brand new hotel.

We stayed 4 nights in a Delux? room 3 adults. Spacious enough, nice decor, excellent service (front desk, housekeeping etc) though restaurant menu a bit limited. We ate generally outside the hotel or in The Regent hotel which is attached to the Park Plaza. The subway is on the back corner of the hotel, so very convenient e.g. 1 station (change) 2 stations - exit Tiananmen Sq/Forbidden City or you could just walk. We missed our boat due to poor directions (not by the hotel by the cruise line) and so returned to the Park Plaza for a further 3 nights. This time we stayed in a Suite room which was really nice. Large double bed and bathroom with TV in one room. Very comfy fold out sofa with extra toilet, desk, TV etc in the other. This time our room rate included breakfast (which we didn't get on our original booking) but it was a much higher rate than available through Hotels.com. However, we had been very happy with our first 4 nights at the Park Plaza so were not too upset about paying the higher rate. Overall, very nice, well kept, pleasant hotel. Good location in business, cultural, high-end shopping district. So if you want a more local shopping, market area you may want to stay somewhere else, but with the subway, taxis etc its very easy to get anywhere you want. Internet at the hotel is expensive if you have to pay but was included with our room rate in our second stay at the hotel. Highly recommend coming to Beijing in winter. Good visability, not much smog, easy entry to cultural sights etc, much better than I think it would be later in the year.

The Hotel was ideal in terms of staff friendliness and comfort. Its only 50 meters to the tube station of dengshikou if you exit the hotel via the back entrance. Its quite and unassuming and and has all the facilities of a 4 star hotel. Free wifi and very comfortable beds. We booked 2 connecting rooms as we have 3 children with us and we had a swell time with the concierge and doorman advising us which are the nearest tube station to all the attractions in Beijing. We stayed 5 nights here and never once did we use a taxi with the tube station right at our door. Furthermore its our 1st trip to Beijing. Starbuck is right across the hotel and if you walk out of the hotel and turn left pass the traffic lights and rows of luxury car showrooms, and after about 300m you will find a number of local restaurants selling local delicacies from breakfast right up to dinner. Strongly recommended. Cheap, tasty and clean especially the corner one on your left. Wangfujing street is about 1km right of the hotel front. You can ask the doorman for direction or get a city map from the concierge. He also gives out those fantastic 7cm matches that are had to come by nowadays. For good food around Wangfujing ( unless you have stomach to try those scorpions, centipedes etc etc) , go pass these stalls and you will find a quaint upstairs restaurant at a side street to your left. There is a grocer at the ground floor.
