Great shape and condition for a budget hotel. Can't beat the price for what you get. Area is a little sketchy, but felt safe.

The hotel was nice and room was clean. Breakfast was a small buffet that was included in the morning. Hotel was conveniently located near the Metro. Hotel is in a sketchy area. It seems to be the only open business on the street, others are all boarded up. (We didn't have any problems though). Hotel parking "inside" is scary. It is an underground parking lot and EXTREMELY tight to manuever in and out of (we drive a Nissan Murano). Also, it is only one lane so cars can be trying to come out as you are going in. I would suggest parking and then taking public transportation places. We drove one night to Old Montreal and we spent 45 minutes looking for a parking spot. Streets are also very narrow and mostly one ways. Metro was easy to navigate and get around on. Can get a 3 day pass for $16.

I intend to stay a La Bell on every trip to Montreal.I've never been so impressed with a hotel. The service was beyond my expectations.I will be booking La Belle in near future.Trere couldn't possibly be a better budget hotel in Montreal.

Have been bitten in the last (literally) with bedbugs. This room was clean and comfortable with no sign of the nasty mites. The hotel was in a great position and the free breakfast was worth getting up for. Enjoy!

I found this hotel to be exactly what I needed for my vacation. The location was very convenient to things in general; the place was not fancy but was fine for me and more than adequate. I really enjoyed the breakfast every morning - a nice selection of food items. And being able to use the computers was very helpful for me. I would definitely stay here again if I have a chance.

This hotel is a great deal. The room is large, comfortable and well equipped, the breakfast is substantial, and the staff are pleasant. The location is very convenient -- close to a Metro stop and a not-too-long walk to the old town. The only drawback is the immediate neighbourhood -- the hotel is on a sidestreet off of a rather seedy stretch of St. Catharine's. We never felt unsafe, but it's probably not ideal for a woman who's going to be walking back alone late at night.

Stayed at Hotel Les Suites Labelle for 3 nights and was real satisfied with my stay, The location is good close to restaurants, stores, downtown and the bus termial. Rooms nice and clean and staff are polite. I would stay at this Hotel next time I visit Montreal!

Booked at this hotel not knowing it is in a sketchy neighborhood of Mtl. Was told by hotel staff that parking our vehicle outside wasn't safe, yet our vehicle was too large for their underground parking garage so we had no choice. Hotel is located down an alley, homeless people literally stood outside hotel doors. Walls were paper thin, wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is new and very clean. Excellent food and the staff are very courteous and professional.

Just completed. Stayed for a few nights. Clean, practical and a luxury for the price.

This was our second stay at this hotel. Same observations as for our first visit: clean and comfortable rooms with kitchettes, friendly and helpful staff, good complementary breakfast, reasonably priced underground parking, walking distance to many Montreal attractions as well as the Metro. Area immediately around the hotel is delapidated (abandoned buildings and a parking lot) however walk three minutes and you are out of it. The hotel staff is aware of the potential problems and are vigilant in keeping the vagrants away from the Hotel property and guests. No safety issues to report, just need to be aware. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel, excellent value for money and right in the area we like to visit.

The room was much larger than expected, with a full kitchenette, large bathroom, and nice layout. Most importantly, the whole hotel was very clean. The buffet breakfast was a nice bonus as well. The parking garage was difficult to get in and out of, even with a small car, but parking was cheap. Overall, a great deal, and I would stay there again.

The hotel is right in the middle of the gay village - not an ideal hotel for family stay

We stayed here for one night in Winter as a stop over on our way to Quebec City. The location was good, close to Old Town and close enough to a good choice of shops and restaurants. We drove and underground parking was very convenient (for a fee) although very tight! Our room was huge, more of an apartment style layout than a hotel, had a kitchenette and sofa, we appreciated the extra space. Beds were comfortable enough, room decor was fairly old fashioned, gave the impression that all the furniture had been in use for a long time, not necessarily a bad thing, but I always like seeing new modern style decor that makes you feel like you might not be the 1 millionth person to lie on the bed even if that's not the case! Overall it was a pleasant stay with no problems, unfortunately we left too early to sample the included breakfast, so I can't comment on that! I would recommend this hotel to all travellers who aren't too fussy and especially to those on a budget.

Modest Suite Hotel in an excellent location - close to most attractions and the Metro. The one and only drawback is the immediate neighbourhood surroundings which are quite rundown. Walk 3 minutes and you are away and on your way to explore Montreal. Staff is friendly, suite is clean, underground car parking is affordable, the hotel is reasonably quiet, and the complimentary breakfast is OK albeit limited. We were only there for one night but would not hesitate to return and stay longer. Not a luxurious hotel however excellent value for money!

overall, it's great. Parking underground is narrow both entrance and spot but not a big deal. hot breakfast was nice too.

the outside of the building is really in need for renovations on the outside it looks really bad

Wireless Internet connection signal was weak so i had to buy a cable to access the internet. When I asked the front desk they told me they had no cables availabalie and they coudn't do anything about the issue. Overall a good expereince.

The room and the hotel itself were quite good. There was a small kitchen with pots and dishes plus free internet. The bed was very comfy and I'd stay there again if I travel to Montreal. Very clean and no bed bugs or any issues like that. The neighborhood was a little sketchy but just a few blocks away from nice part of town. I don't recommend it for a female traveling alone. All in all it was a good deal for the price and the local ongoing rates.

We stayed Hotel Les Suites Labelle one night because of it was convenient to the main bus terminal. The hotel staff was very polite and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast which was included in our rate. Room was clean and quiet. Overall, no complaints.

Non-descript from the outside and a very run-down little street with litter, broken glass and homeless sleeping on the sidewalk........but I liked everything about the hotel and it's a bargain for the price, comfort, quietness and location. Hint: if you arrive by air and take the # 747 bus from the airport, get off 1 stop before the terminus and you'll be 1.5 short blocks walk to the hotel. Everything in my room was clean, modern and functional, including fridge, micro, small stove, dishes & cutlery. And I really liked the fact that i could adjust the heat with 2 thermostats (1 in the bathroom).......got it real hot and cosy on a very cold Montreal evening. The only small complaint I had is that the bed pillows were a bit small and not firm enough for me. Will definitely stay there again.

I stayed at Hotel les Suites La Belle during a recent conference that was held in Downtown Montreal. Our cabbie wasn't familiar with this hotel but it was easy to find: one block north of the Berri Avenue & Rue St. Catherine intersection. An easy walk to Vieux Montreal, Chinatown, downtown convention district. Use the metro stop Berri UQAM (practically next door) to get anywhere else. Kitchenette was convenient, but we ate the hearty continental breakfast instead. Best of all: this hotel cost USD $40 less than the conference hotel and had free WiFi in the rooms, which the conference hotel lacked. It's about a 30 minute walk up Rue St. Catherine to Rue University, where the bigger chain hotels seem to be located.

Overall the okay was a okat place to stay for the price. I major complaint is the fact that they shout off the AC during the fall( even though the temp is above 75 some days) . We woke up many morning very hot and uncomfortable when we call to complain about it we were told that no AC is allow during the Fall season

We had a good stay but it doesn't feel safe to go out at night, as the street it's on looks pretty sad. If you manage to make it to the main street about 100m away you should be fine though (and we didn't have any problems). The hotel does have an indoor parking for the same price (+taxes) as the outdoor public parking in front of the hotel - unfortunately the hotel didn't mention that when we asked them.

The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable and well laid out. The breakfast was more than expected and filled me up with many choices from a full breakfast (eggs, juice, sauces, choice of cereals, bagels etc. It was very nice. The other residences and the staff were helpful and pleasant. It was close to both Old Montreal and St Catherin’s street. An easy walk to both and easy to get back to. It was a pleasurable stay and I would return.

Great hotel for getting out on the town!. Nice room ! Quite simple but comfy! We would stay again.

This hotel was spotless, the breakfast was fresh. The street a little sketchy. Overall close to transportation and convenient to most attractions..

We requested a room with parking, but when we arrived at the hotel, none was available. The hostess was not able to help us find an alternative. They were not aware of the surrounding of the hotel. It took us at least 30 minutes to find somewhere to park overnight. Everything else was perfect.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have the kitchenette available with a microwave, refridgerator, stove, and sink. They even provided a few pots and pans, dishes, glasses, a corkscrew, and hot pads. The hotel was close to the down town area, so it was within walking distance to several attractions. The subway station was about a 2 minute walk, so that was helpful as well. My only hesitation was that St. Catherine street was right nearby, which is a fun place to walk around. However, there are several sex shops, seedy places, and porn shops along that street, so if that makes you uncomfortable it's not the greatest location. It did feel safe at most times though.

the hotel are close to some of must see sights. The hotel staffs were very courteous to us. The room was clean . The breakfast was excellent.

Convenient to Ste Catherine (the gay) area which is what we wanted. Have stayed here before and although very basic in look and feel it has everything you need. Kitchenettes, clean toilet/bathroom and a free hot breakfast in the morning!!! Thé security is a plus as Well given thé area. If you are not too fussy or pretentious then you will love this hotel!!!!

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. My wife complained about the firm mattress. Overall, their service is excellent and you have only 15 to walk to old port.

We recently stayed here for Jazz Fest and had a wonderful time. Clean room with a kitchenette, great breakfast, and really nice hotel staff. Totally recommend for anyone looking for a good deal with all of the basics taken care of. Located in the Latin Quarter near The Village and a 10 minute walk to Place des Arts (Jazz Fest area).

The hotel is located in a great location!! 2 blocks to the metro, give you a good start to travel in Montreal easily and not have to worry about transportation. Garage parking is secure, but do not recommend for cars bigger than a compact. You will have a hard time moving you car in and out of the garage. Room is sort of outdated, but functional with kitchenette. Pillows and bed sheets/linens need upgrades! Breakfast is good with selections to get you started your day. Overall, I had good experience staying at this hotel. Just need a little upgrade for the bed and linens.
