The resort location is perfect; just a short 15 minute walk to restaurants and shopping action. The beach location is a quiet, less traveled one, which is wonderful. The sand and water is majestic. Hotel food is good, but the food service is very slow. Our unit had several maintenace issues (three non functioning appliances), but efforts were made to make repairs. While the Pink Shell is lacking somewhat in service, the pool and beach are top notch and the location is a 10!

The resort was great! We can't say enough that it was the perfect place for a vacation. The room was clean, staff professional and wecoming and the food was delicious.

Only complaint- initial room did not match pic on Hotels . com but they made it right.

Our first stay at the Pink Shell Resort exceeded our expectations in every respect. Highly recommend it for those who like great beach time and activities as well as poolside activities and refreshments.

Our stay was a girls' vacation. The pool area is quite spacious and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. The rooms also are spacious and immaculate. Breakfast buffet was delicious. The beach is wide with soft white sand. Excellent nearby restaurants. A perfect vacation resort.

Hotel provides activities for all ages. enjoyed watching the dolphins from the balcony

We were extremely satisfied with our accommodations at this hotel. The view of the beach was beautiful. Room was very clean with plenty of towels and kitchen items. We would definitely stay here again, if we return to that area.

Everything was fantastic but the weather was the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my fourth time inthe hotel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family and I ahd an excellent stay. The location was perfect for our needs. We were five children and three adults, and our two bedroom suite held us all comfortably. Staff was polite and helpful. We felt very safe there.

This hotel offers a pool for kids and a separate one for adults. Very nice and peaceful at adult pool. Rooms could use some updating. Veneer peeling off the cabinets but overall very nice.

When we book our stay we were very disappointed in the cost of the rooms but there was not many other choices available as it was spring break weekend. We were ELATED to see our room, the beach, the resorts was beautiful and we wished we were going to be staying longer as it went way too fast. Our only disappointment was minor and it was that this beautiful place has no fine dining........We will definitely stay here again!!!! The spa was reasonable and also had excellent services.

The Pink Shell is a wonderful resort! Anything I asked for was supplied happily. The only things I would like to see improved would be to open the bar Sanibel side of the resort. Nothing was available to us (pool towels, bar, restaurant) unless we walked to the other end of the resort. I don't know if this was because the resort was not full, but if you are going to house people on that end, they should have the same conveniences as others. The free spa ammenities were fabulous and the free breakfast buffet each day was unexpected and truely appreciated!

I loved everything about it. Walk 1/2 mile down the pristine beach one way to boardwalk atmosphere. Go the other way to untouched, undeveloped, beautiful beach. 3 pools, 2 very quiet, one lots of fun. Room/view was perfect & food at breakfast buffet was great! Good place for women alone. Very safe and relaxing. The only downside is an expensive ($50) cab ride from the airport. Oh, nice spa. I will go back!

Hotel was great (3rd visit) Area is nice with shops and several places to eat Road in front of the hotel under construction is the only negative but not an issue. Beaches are clean and plenty of activities for adult and kids

The resort was very nice, especially the main pool area. The hotel staff was friendly and the food was good. The rooms were comfortable with a very nice screened in private balcany overlooking the gulf. The only thing that could have been better in the room was the bathroom, it could have used some updating. Would stay again.

The Pink Shell was one of the most amazing resorts I have been to. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were spacious and comfy, the beach was fantastic and the surrounding town was adorable and everyone was nice. The hotel was a small walk from the town square (shopping area) and for those who can't walk far there is a trolly that runs there as well. I would most definitely stay again.

Great Place for families or anyone. Staff is great! Can't wait to go back next year!!

Best place for the money. The staff is superb and the Resort was wonderful. The only negative was the road was under construction but they are nearing the end of it. I would say it rivals any hotel I have ever stayed in. Even ones that have cost 4 or 5 times the amount. The Wedding on the Beach was great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We loved our stay at the Pink Shell. Would go back again! Breakfast was wonderful....Everything that I was looking for. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

My wife's favorite hotel, we go back at least once a year and are already planning for next year Hotel, in addition to being immaculate, friendly and service oriented, is children friendly and close to a wide variety of restaurants. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Pink Shell is a great place to stay, but like any other place it also has its goods and bads. The breakfast buffet is really good! The kids loved the pools, they were zero entry and were great for little kids to play in. The one down fall to this resort is that there are too many weddings there. It would be great if the wedding receptions were in a private indoor room somewhere, but they have the receptions outside on the main pool deck...or they close the small pool for the entire day and have receptions there. You can't enjoy a quiet evening on your patio because the music is blasting from the receptions which is outside right below all of the rooms. Sometimes they close the small pool for birthday parties too. I don't think its fair for the rest of the paying guests that the small pool is closed for the entire day. While we stayed there, the small pool was closed 2 different days...1 for a wedding reception, and another day for a 1st birthday party. They have a huge restaurant where the breakfasts are served...the receptions should be held there, so the rest of the paying guests staying at the resort can enjoy themselves.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel in Oct 2010 for 3 nights. It was excellent value for what we paid, I wish we had stayed longer. Our suite was in the main building and it was much bigger and plusher than I really expected. The kitchen had everything you would have in your own home and the washer/dryer was a real bonus. The living room was really comfy and the large flat screen tv on the wall was great. The seperate bedroom and the bathroom were also very spacious and well equipped, the walk in shower was particulary big and could fit three people easily! Overall, the hotel was excellent and particulary good for families with kids as the hotel has lots of activities laid on for them. Saying that, I also think its perfect for couples as well, we certainly had a great time around the pool area and the beach. Bongo's bar was fab and the staff were really friendly.

Excellent in every way! Room was perfect with an amazing Gulf coast view. Service and staff were friendly and very accomodating. We opted to do the Sunset dinner on the beach and could not have been more please. Leo was a fanatastic server and the food was perfect as well as the sunset! I would recommend this hotel/resort to everyone!

Overall, this is a very nice resort, especially for the price offered at Hotels.com. This is a great, quiet location, but still in walking distance of the main action. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean and well equiped. Just a couple of minor issues..all of the really small porches/patios are screened-great for misquitos not so great for night time views of the gulf. Also, the garden tubs/showers are above the floor with no step, so be extra careful when wet.

this is the best hotel on the beach- 2 pools good beach front that is quiet- only issue is the road out front is being worked on / torn up so no sidewalks to walk downtown and local trolley is a scary thing to ride esp if your a single female lots of crazy drunks-i took taxis after that exp, $5 each way to downtown-room was good- in the old part of the hotel but still nice- had a kitchenette and the screen porch was fantastic at night. def recommend this hotel if your going to frt myers beach- staff was very friendly and helpful, never rude.

The location and neighborhood would have been fine, but they were doing alot of construction on the street it is on. The ocean is not as clear as it is in Clearwater/St. Pete area, I was told that is because of all the rivers that flow into that area of the ocean. Overall was a great resort for both children and adults.

Spent a 4 day weekend at the Pink Shell and it was just a great experience. The hotel was right on the beach, about a 50 foot walk from each of the two large pools. Great room -- a 1 bedroom overlooking the pool and the gulf. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurants and bar were very good and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in Ft. Meyers.

This was a great resort. The room was fabulous with an amazing view of the ocean and pool. The staff was very helful and friendly. We will definately return!

This was our second stay at the Pink Shell and would highly recommend it. Hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Upon our arrival, we discovered that our icemaker was not working. After reporting it to the front desk, the maintenance man was up replacing it within minutes of getting back to my room. The clerk at the gift shop graciously opened the shop during her lunch break so we could make a purchase. This is an excellent place for a family vacation. Everything you need is right there. There is no need to even rent a car. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and used the trolley to venture into Time Square. All the water sports are located on beachfront and the marina is steps away for fishing. Breakfast buffet is awesome and Bongos serves inexpensive but delicious sandwiches, fries, and wings. My 14 year old grandaugter is still raving about the wings. My grandson thinks this is the best place to find shells and sandollars, especially when the tide goes out in the evening. Two thumbs up...the Pink Shell can expect to see us again!!

We loved the hotel! It was very clean and the staff was great! The only negatives were that there wasn't much to do there at night and both treadmills in the fitness center weren't working. Other than that, it was an awesome trip!

Outside of the road construction that started at 7AM on some mornings, we had a great time.

We had a great stay at the Pink Shell. The only drawback was the road construction going on outside the hotel. The food was great, the view was great. We loved that there was more than one pool to choose from. The kids had a great time!
