Fairmont Mayakoba - شاطئ كارمن

It is beatiful place and I can recommend it for those who enjoys luxury and nature. It is a great value for the prices you are paying. I have only one comment - not enough sun-beds and sun-umbrellas on the beach and there is a lot of space to add more. I rated "4" for service because we forgot sambrero in our room and we could not get it back-)

Fantastic hotel, and wonderful staff who really made a difference to our stay! Food is great, and I would recommend the all inclusive option. It is much better value. If I could complain about one thing though...some guests annoyingly reserved beds at both the beach and pool at the same time. Sometimes beds were left unoccupied for hours and I was surprised this happened at a five star resort!

Just returned from very relaxing 5 day stay at Fairmont Mayakoba. We had a wonderful time. Service was exceptional except for check in process. Be prepared to wait for your room. Suggest you put on your swim suit and head to the pool until it is ready. Our room was not ready until 5pm and there were several other guest dealing with same issue. Then they upgraded us, which was terrific, but then at 9pm following night told us that we had to room to another room. Once we got over that hump we had impeccable service and found staff cheerful, helpful and attentive. We will go back!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Staff is extremely friendly. Beautiful and wonderfully designed pools as well as awesome beach front. It was so fun being able to bike all over the resort! It is a very kid friendly place, and perfect if planning a vaca with little ones of any age. That being said, even the very nice restaurants will have kids running around at 9 pm. (I did not care cause I had a two year old) the only problem we had was we felt the service at the poolside and in the restaurants could be hit or miss. Sometimes we felt we had been forgotten. We would definitely stay again. Oh, and the casita rooms are awesome and very large for a family.

This hotel was advertised and priced as a 5-star resort, but unfortunately didn't come anywhere near that designation. I was generally satisfied by the property and rooms, but think that they paled in comparison to the adjacent Rosewood and Banyan Tree resorts. Being the largest resort property in Mayakoba also meant that it was the most crowded. You will be disappointed if you are going here for a romantic getaway as this is very much more suitable as a family resort. The food was mediocre and rather than serving authentic Mexican cuisine, the restaurants catered to western palates. The internet also didn't work anywhere but in the lobby.

Great place to just go and relax. Food was amazing and beaches were too if you can splurge get a villa on the water with a private pool.

A wonderful resort, well located. They pay attention to the small details and we loved it! we would definitely like to come again.

We had a very bad experience of the hotel services, it is not convenience to go to eat in the restaurant or cafe they are not open all the time we arrived 3PM , hungry none of their cafe or restaurant was open had to wait till 7:30 pm to open main lobby rest. Then they told us me need reservation. Their understanding to gusts needs in terrible and not helpful at all. we had the most terrible experience with the service desk anytime you want to make phone call $5.00 USD per minute charges even for tool free calls they told me has a service charge. It was terrible the way treated us we had to get out as an emergency due to hurricane in Oct. 26th 2011. I started arguing with the service desk. I don't think if any of those people really understand English and the meaning of how to take care of gusts. We are very un satisfied, with all the none sense charges and their policy. Of course the arrival welcoming might be empress to give you wet towel and a drink. But we don't care of those important things how they should handle the situation like ours. All those high charges for the room and services. the breakfast not even included. And the room service very slow more than half hour takes to get something to bight. No we will never ever go to that hotel anymore and told all our friends and family not to go there. Over all we were a wedding party that was scheduled that weekend and they did not care they had no Idea of the concept of it. So for next month we are going to Cancunwe'll stay in nice resort inclusive of everything with much less charges and better service wonderful area. That was my opinion with Fairmont in Cancun, you can take it or leave it. Thank you.

Incredible staff. Beautiful location. Great food. We had an excellent trip!

Great pools. Great in-room and out of room dining. Great service and resort transportation. I have no complaints and will certainly return! If you're a golfer, play El Camaleon--great course!

The room had everything you would expect from a 5 star resort...no need to go into detail. Every hotel employee was very friendly, always saying hello with a smile, and also helpful. The amenities are spread out and we enjoyed walking or biking most of the time, although the golf carts were easy to find with a short wait. Getting to the beach is a 10-15 minute walk so the bike or golf cart is a must. Beach area was a little disappointing...not very wide, poor waves for body surfing, few activities available. Adults only pool was quiet and good for swimming laps. Food was good but not great and a little pricey. Drinks a little too pricey, so we would recommend buying soft drinks at local store (not close by) and bringing your own wine or booze. Bottled water in room was replenished every day at no charge and tap water was safe to drink. Ice machine close to rooms.

Excellent hotel, fantastic service, beautifull swimingpools and a marvelous beach. Nice and comfortable rooms, perfect beds. Superb golf. I will come back with all my family from all over the world to celebrate my birthday.

We were at Fairmont for our Honeymoon and it was just perfect, this is a great hotel... Will comeback for sure, just awasome!

incridible service from all the staff

No respetaron la reservacion de una habitacion de 2 adultos y 2 menores, pretendiendo darnos una sola cama King size y una individual, despues de cobrar una tarifa muy elevada y en un hotel supuestamente de 5 estrellas. Despues de discutir 2 hrs, nos pusieron otra cama individual. Los alimentos y bebidas excesivamente caras y con poca calidad en el servicio. Por lo que no volveriamos y no recomendariamos este hotel, habiendo otras opciones de mejor calidad y precio.

Efectivamente, la limpieza, la belleza tanto natural como de las instalacioens del hotel es excelente. Sin embargo hay algo que a nuestro puento de vista falta mucho para que la relacion calidad-precio en LA COMIDA que ofrecen en los diferentes restaurantes sea justa, puesto que es demasiado pero DEMASIADA CARA LA COMIDA y el sabor no es tan bueno. OJO no digo que sea malo, pero para lo que te cobran en cada platillo deberia ser mucho mejor y creeanme, no es la gran cosa!! Lo que si resulto muy MUY DECEPCIONANTE, fue que fuimos con mucha ilusión a pasar el puente del 15 de septiembre ahi, pensando que la cena del grito iba a estar mejor no solo en los platillos que ofrecieron, sino que además no sentias el espiritu mexicano por ningun lado, al fondo del restaurant (en la cena donde segun se iba a celebrar el grito) habia una bandera que apenas y se veia! eso fue todo como decoración!!!!!!!!!! MUSICA??? que va!!! solo una marimba que toco hasta las 9pm pero es la misma que toca en los desayunos!!! es mas nisiquiera musica de fondo ranchera caray!!!! MUY MUy mal por las personas que se encargan de este tipo de cosas!! Señores ante todo estan en un país llamado MEXICO!!!

mi esposa y yo hemos viajado a infinidad de hoteles y nunca nos habia tocado un hotel con tan mala atencion. desde que llegamos y recibieron el coche tuvimos que rogarle a un valet que nos lo tomara, despues en el check in se tardaron alrededor de 25 minutos en llevarnos al cuarto. en la cena nos trajeron absolutamente otra cosa de lo que pedimos y el pescado traia espinas y escamas por todos lados. Por fin nos ibamos a otro hotel y la persona del check out se porto muy agresiva y grosera y nunca acepto feedback se ve que no les interesa el turismo nacional. a todos lo mexicanos estaban de la misma manera mientras que a los extranjeros toda la atencion. fuimos para nuestra luna de miel y nunca me pudieron ayudar para poder sorprender a mi esposa con una cena, nunca contestaron mis correos

Mayakona ...sencillamente excelente! La calidad de los alimentos es muy buena y la atencíon es grandiosa. Muy limpio, lleven repelente, hay moscos pues está en medio de un manglar.

Me parece un hotel con servicios de excelencia, todo está bien, piscinas, restaurantes, servicios adicionales, las villas de lujo, verdaderamente te hacen sentir en casa, el personal muy atento y amable; de lo único que podría inconformarme son los precios de la comida y bebidas, un poco elevado, pero se compensa con el alto nivel de servicio que ofrece el establecimiento, las bicicletas, todo el resort es precioso, lo recomiendo y con mucho gusto regreso de nuevo, sin duda es un hotel de cinco estrellas

spa is overpriced! if you don't read the fine print when choosing your massage, you find out until later that 16% tax wasn´t included and neither was a 15% tip which shouldn't be charged before receiving the massage. We paid $400 usd for two 60 minute massages that were nice but not incredible, we have received better massages for a lot less and in same category hotels around the world.

Hotel de très grande qualité : bons restaurants, un spa exceptionnel (un peu cher mais cela vaut la peine), un système de transport interne par voiture de golf très performant... Vraiment très bien. Il faut souligner une idée géniale dont devrait s'inspirer beaucoup d'autres structures : en plus de plusieurs piscines classiques et bruyantes, il existe dans cet hôtel une piscine un peu à l'écart, grande et très zen car interdite aux enfants de moins de 14 ans... Aucun bruit et donc parfaite pour se reposer (faire une vraie sieste auprès de la piscine sans être dérangé par des cris, c'est donc possible au Fairmont hôtel).

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold på Fairmont Mayakoba. Der er i den grad fokus på luksus og kundens behov, og vi elskede hvert minut der. Vi boede i en bungalow imellem jungletræer og -lyde, og derudover er der inkluderet i prisen en sejltur rundt i områdets kanaler, hvor vi bl.a. så leguaner, krokodiller, pelikaner mv. Resortområdet er ret stort, men man bliver kørt rundt i lydløse elbiler, og bagagen bliver hentet og bragt. Der er 5 opvarmede pools + lækker strand. Vi var der i januar, hvor vejret var virkelig dejligt uden at være for varmt. Vi havde 2 mindre børn med, og på trods af stedets high-class, var der stor fokus på børnevenlighed, bl.a. med en supergod og inspirerende børneklub, og børn under 6 år spiser gratis på alle restauranter, som i øvrigt også er utrolig lækre og med ekstremt god og venlig betjening. Alt i alt kan det kun anbefales! Det skal dog siges, at i højsæssonen (påske, sommer og juleferie) er der mange gæster, og priserne er derefter - vi var der efter nytår, hvor vi fik en supergod pris.
