Hotel XX Settembre - روما

Pros- Great location, close to the main, central station. If you're into walking, it's in a great location for that too. Breakfast is buffet and has more variety than most hotels I stayed at in Italy. Staff speaks English and are very kind and helpful. Free Internet. Cons- In no way shape or form would I call myself any type of interior designer, but the carpets in the rooms have GOT TO GO! I stayed in the main building and the carpets are disgusting. Visible stains. It's kind of weird to me considering how nice the lobby is. If they remove the carpets and get some type of tiled floor or something (anything but carpet that is clearly hard to keep clean) my rating would be higher. Room smells a bit moldy, and I never figured out how to shower without wetting up the entire floor, shower curtain is dysfunctional.

accommadation can be expensive in rome so i thought this hotel was great value, it was a comfortable well decorated room, and the buffet breakfast was great, lots of choice of things to eat, the staff smiling and helpful, and the location close to attractions , the area around termini station can be busy but this was a quiet little side street, at the end of the road is a market for all your fresh fruit, im staying there on my next trip also

The room is tiny but clean; in addition, the location is very close to the Rome centrale but the service in this Hotel is quite terrible and the staffs in reception always have lots of excuses so don't give it a shot.

This is a good hotel if you are just looking for somewhere to stay with Internet access and good breakfast. The location wasn't necessarily bad but it wasnt the best. The staff were quite friendly but we've stayed in better 3 star hotel rooms.

This hotel did not impress! The front counter was nice, but the hotel they were working for was not. There are plenty of hotels in Rome's down-town core, and this shouldn't be one of them.

We enjoyed our stay. Its close to all public transport . Staff was great and helpful

This was one of the most disgusting hotels I've stayed in. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to the Rome Central Train Station. Firstly, we were in a separate part of the hotel across the street from the main hotel. The elevator to get to the rooms was so small that barely two people can fit in it. It was an ancient elevator where you have to close two sets of doors for it to work. We were so afraid it would break in the middle and we will be stranded in it with no one to call for help. Second, the towels were so dirty and smelly, also the bed spreads were disgusting with spots and marks on them. I removed the pillow cases before sleeping and put them on the floor, the next day the same pillow cases were on the our pillows. They never vacuumed the floors. It was so dusty our socks were dark brown. I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other hotels close by to the termini station.

Horrible experience, put a damper on my vacations in Rome. The rooms are small, even by European standards. I was shown to a room where the AC was not working and was told to "put up with it for the night and they will look into it in the morning and that they did not have any other rooms" as well as being told that they were aware of the problem as the AC had been giving them problems the week prior as well. Mind you this was Rome in July. Upon insisting that I should get what I paid for, they told me the "it was creating a big problem for them" and finally got me a room. This room is in a basement, with no windows. It smelled of raw sewage so bad that every time I enterd the room I got nauseous. The bathroom had mould growing in the shower stall. It is noisy in the mroning and you can't sleep after 7 am because of the noise outside. There is no fire escape, so in case of an emergency, there is no where to run out of the room from. The TV did not work during my entire stay there and I was told by the front desk that I did not know how to turn the TV on. I complained about the above repeatedly and was told they would "look into it" but nothing happened. The front desk staff is unhelpful. The good thing is that internet access is free. The breakast is OK. All in all, it was a horible experience, so much that I was looking forward to leaving Rome to get away from this place.

We choose this hotel due to its distance to Metro and Termini bus station. Is about 10 mins walk from Termini all on main streets. (Don't worry, you are not the only one hauling luggages along the street). Hotel is one turn off the main street, which gives you quietness and some peace. Staff was helpful too. Like all Rome local hotels, the A/C can barely catch up to the heat especially since we were staying on the 3rd floor but it wasnt an issue to us since we werent in the room from 9-9pm. There's also a street market every morning, 1 block away from the hotel which makes it quite convenient to grab some local fruits. There's also a mini market about 2 blocks away. Cons: can get a bit creepy since is in alleyway but to us, it was just fine.

Nothing work everything was a mess and nothing work. The space to small.

Negative reviews for this hotel seem specific to rooms, but our experience was very good. We were in the main building. The room was plenty large enough, even with an extra cot for a third person. The staff was helpful and polite. Wake up calls were reliable, breakfast was good, and the hotel was clean. Good price and convenient location very close to Termini Station. I am surprised at other negative reviews, but maybe different rooms vary greatly.

We felt like we were sleeping in a closet. This Hotel was very small. The internet service was good. The TV was great, but the room was tiny. Breakfast buffet was descent.

This hotel has to buildings. IF you stay in the main building you will be ok but the rooms on the building across, there was not hot water. I had to take a shower with cold water.

I told the management first thing in the morning, he said they would send a maid, but a couple hours later she did not show up to take care of the smell, I had to change hotels. I found another one close by. An additional $10 goes a long way in quality. Breakfast was decent. But the internet was free, but you need this paper tickets with a code and you had to enter a code in every 30 minutes because you would get disconnected from the internet, very annoying. But if you plan on being out all day sightseeing it might not be a big deal.

The XX settembre was minutes away from the termini train station which was exactly what I was looking for . I rented a single room and it was confortable and clean . The hotel included a breakfast which was simple and efficient . Bottom line the hotel has a good quality-price ratio for accomodation , breakfast and location . When you are in Rome the prices for hotels have no limits and it was conforting to find an hotel that had all the basics needs at a reasonable price . staff was helpful and nice and my stay was pleasent I would go back anytime.

Convenient location 5 minutes from central train station. Staff very cordial. THEN: Room located across street from main hotel. Stained coverlette, used soap and shampoo in tub and sink, used plastic drinking cups in bath, and towels that didn't look as though they had been laundered. The room itself, which I measured, was literally 8 1/2 feet square. My wife and I are below average size, but couldn't pass each other without one getting on the bed. To get into the bathroom we had to turn sideways. Bathroom wasn't too bad, but you had to hold the shower nozzle since there was nothing to attach it to. We had been in Milan, Pisa and Florence prior to this, where we booked our hotels the day before we arrived. All three hotels were less than half the price and three times the size of this one. If our room was typical, and you're overweight, you'd better forget it.

We had a disappointing stay at this hotel,we were not pleased with our room at all, though the bed was very comfortable. We moved to a different room, much brighter but far more cramped-a single used as a double I would say. Food ok, enjoyed that. Rooms quiet and relaxing. Location pretty convenient to bus and rail stations, but not worthy of a 3 star status and we found a much nicer place and it also was a 3 star!

The hotel was hard to find as it is located on a side street and has a small hard to notice sign.

It is a decent, no frills hotel close to a main metro. Others have said it is a lower end neighborhood but I found it fine. It is also close to the opera house, the train station and a really nice high end hotel that has a nice outside bar.

Good location, close to Termini Station. Hotel clean, rooms very small. Unusual design. We were situated on the first floor of the annexe across the road; there was a very dodgy open cage style lift but we had no desire to try it! Free Internet access in room via wireless but in the annexe it it difficult to pick up a signal but can plug into the phone via an ethernet cable and it is still free of charge. Breakfast reasonable but tiny room with few tables.

Miellyttävä kokemus noin suuren kaupungin keskustan tuntumassa. Hyvät metroyhteydet ja paljon nähtävyyksiä kävelymatkan päässä. Huoneet siistit, joskin pientä säätöä kylpyhuone / vessa -systeemeissä voisi tehdä. Hinta-laatusuhde tosi hyvä. Palvelualtis henkilökunta. Hyvä valinta!

Siisti ja mukava hotelli. Hotellihuone oli aika pieni, muttei haitannut, muuten tosi mukava hotelli. Aamupala ei mitään radisson tasoa mutta kyllä sillä nälkää lykkäsi.

Пожалуй, лучший отель в соотношении цена-качество. Замечательный персонал, чистые номера, отличное расположение в нешумном районе, хотя это центр города. Единственный минус- маленькие номера, но это, на мой взгляд, совершенно не существенно.

Mir ist noch nie in einem hotel in Rom soviel Freundlichkeit entgegengebracht worden.desweiteren waren die beiden Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption wirklich bemüht von allein zu helfen und dir alle Fragen zu beantworten.

Ok hotel in de buurt van Termini, staat van het hotel is nogal slecht, veel schimmel bij de ramen. De douche werkt niet helemaal goed duurt ongeveer 10min om warm te worden. Verder zijn het kleine kamers met gratis WiFi dus prima voor een paar dagen. Ik zou het echter niet aanraden voor langere verblijven in Rome of een 'romantische trip'.

O hotel tem excelente localização, próximo a estações de trem, ônibus e metrô. As pessoas que trabalham na recepção são muito prestativas e excelentes profissionais.

Bortsett från dålig service och arrogant bemötande är vi helt övertygade att hotellet är drabbad av vägg löss. Vi hade två rum, och vi båda på morgonen upptäckte att vi har röda utslag på låren och midian. Vi påtalade detta för hotellperosnalen som bemötte oss med arrogans och axelryckning. Vi hittade inga vägg löss eller spår av dem under madrassen eller i sängen, men fick rejäla bitmärken...

Vanhoista asunnoista hotelllihuoneiksi muokatut huoneet olivat todella pieniä mutta kuitenkin viihtyisiä.Tilaa kuitenkin yksin matkustaville ja "vain nukkumassa käyville" riittävästi. Äänieristys hotellihuoneissa melkein olematon ja lämmintä vettä sai suihkussa odotella hetkisen. Maisemat hotellihuoneesta olemattomat, mutta kun asteli hotellista ulos alkaa nähtävyydet melkein kynnykseltä. Hotelli sijaitsi Vatikaania lukuunottamatta kävelymatkan päässä kaikista tärkeistä nähtävyyksistä ja ravintoloita löytyi hotellin läheltä helposti. Vastaanoton henkilöstö ystävällistä. Aamupala suomalaisittain vaatimaton mutta mahan sai aamusta kuitenkin täyteen. Aamupalatarjoilu pienessä huoneessa joten aamun "ruuhka-aikaan" voi pöydän vapautumisessa mennä hetki. Huoneissa pieni litteä televisio josta näkyy reilu 500 kanavaa. Näistä yhdelläkään ei kyllä tule mitään katsomisen arvoista. Eikä tällä ole väliä koska Roomassa ei ole tarkoitus jäädä hotelliin majailemaan. Kokonaiskuva hotellista kuitenkin hyvä. Sopii hyvin matkailijalle joka tarvitsee majoituksen nopeaan Roomaan tutustumiseen. Puistot ja nähtävyydet ovat hyvin lähellä ja hotelli on hyvä majapaikka levähdyspaikaksi kaiken kauniin katselun lomassa. Hinta-laatu suhde siis OK.

Vi fikk to rom 109 og 110 som låg i en inngang utenfor hotellet. Begge rommene var uten rømningsvei og det en rommet hadde ingen vinduer. Var svær dårlig og fuktig luft p åbegge rommene. Ikke å annbefale.

Det var et godt hotel med meget venligt personale. De var hjælpsomme og da jeg ønskede et andet værelse fik jeg det allerede samme aften. De var søde til at informere, men kunne godt have sagt ved ind tjek sige at man skulle betale skat til Rom og at det ikke var med i den pris man allered havde betalt. Disse penge skal man derfor have i kontanter når man tjekker ud. Morgenmaden var ikke så god. Men ellers tilfreds.

Hotellihuoneemme oli äärimmäisen pieni. Huoneessa 120 cm leveä vuode ja yksi kaappi. Sängyn ympärillä ei paljon tilaa. Matkalaukkukin mahtui juuri ja juuri huoneeseen :). Ilmastointi toimi, suihkutilat puhtaat, lämmin vesi tuli joka päivä. Huone myös siivottiin joka päivä ja tuotiin puhtaat pyyheet. Aamupala oli hyvä. Kahta eri leikkelettä, juustoa, sämpylää, jogurtteja, muroja ja makeita leivoksia. Huoneemme oli tien toisella puolella olevassa rakennuksessa. Ehkä hotellissa on myös suurempia huoneita.

Hotelli kävelymatkan päässä päärautatieasemasta, colosseumista ja isommasta ruokakaupasta. Huone oli puhdas(siivous päivittäin) ja ilmastointi oli säädettävä. Liikenteen melu ei kuulunut/häirinnyt laisinkaan, ainakaan sisäpihan puolella. Aamiainen ok, mutta hieman suppea.(ei hedelmiä/ mitään lämmintä syötävää). Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja auttavaista. Suosittelen.
