Monte Malaga Hotel - مالاجا

My friend and I went for a long weekend, choosing this hotel as it appeared close to the airport and the Malaga town centre. The transfer from the airport to the hotel couldn't be easier by train. Although make sure you alight at Maria Zambrano and not Malaga Centro. The hotel was very comfortable, we made full use of the pool area which we virtually had to ourselves. The breakfasts were excellent, my friend is veggie and found plenty of choice. The service was relaxed and leisurely. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and a good size. There was air conditioning which was very effective. We used the room service facilities which was very efficient and to a good standard. The location of the hotel is good. A 15 minute walk has you right in the middle of things. We were lucky that Malaga film festival was on and there was a definite buzz in the city because of this. We thought we might visit Cordoba over our 4 day stay, but there is more than enough to see in Malaga to keep you in the city for 4 or 5 days. Overall an excellent short break that we would be happy to do again.

Very nice hotel, a good 20 minute walk to cathedral and central bars. Bar area in hotel poor facilities, not at all comfortable. Pool sufficient but no bathrobes provided. Hotel energy savings and solar panels impressive. Train and bus station only 5 minute walk.

While not in the heart of Malaga, the hotel is a 15-minute walk from the heart of the city. Very comfortable room, and the staff was very friendly and professional. I would stay at Monte Malaga again.

THE HOTEL IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED NEAR THE TRAIN STATION PROVIDING EASY ACCESS FROM/TO THE AIRPORT. ALL STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. THE BREAKFAST WAS OF A DECENT STANDARD AND SELECTION. THE ROOM OVERALL WAS VERY WELL SET OUT WITH NO OBVIOUS MAINTAINANCE ISSUES AND OUR ROOM OVERLOOKED THE SEA PORT WITH VIEWS EITHER SIDE OF MALAGA BAY. WHAT LET IT DOWN WAS THE SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS. OUR PARTY OF 3 ADULTS BOOKED WELL IN ADVANCE OF OUR ARRIVAL DATE BUT THE ROOM WAS NOT ALREADY SET UP FOR 3 AND THE THIRD BED HAD TO BE TRANSFERRED IN WHICH DISAPPOINTINGLY WAS A 'PUT UP' FOLDING BED. WE WERE ABLE TO GET A TAXI FROM RECEPTION TO THE OLD TOWN AT NIGHT FOR A REASONABLE RATE. WE MADE USE OF THE POOL AND SPA FACILITIES WHICH WERE PLESANT ENOUGH EXCEPT THE JACUZZI WAS NOT WORKING. THE BAR AND ROOM SERVICE WERE GOOD. ALL GENERAL AREAS APPEARED CLEAN AND WELL KEPT. THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE HOTEL WAS RELAXING AND COMFORTABLE AND SO LONG AS WE PUT THE SIGN OUT WE WERE NOT DISTURBED AT ALL BY CLEANERS ETC. AS YOU GO OUT OF THE HOTEL AND TURN LEFT TAKES YOU INTO MALAGA MAIN TOWN. HOWEVER TURN RIGHT AND YOU END UP IN A MORE RUN DOWN RESIDENTIAL PART OF MALAGA AND THE BEACH HERE IS RATHER DIRTY BUT THESE ARE NOT UNCOMMON FACTS IN MOST CITIES. MALAGA ITSELF IS WELL WORTH A VISIT AND THE MONTE MALAGA HOTEL WOULD SUIT MOST PEOPLES NEEDS.

A good value hotel with great staff who were very polite and friendly. The first room we were offered was a sea facing room but extremely smokey so we were promptly offered another inward facing room which was fine. The lack of balcony was the only down side. The twin room had all we needed and the bathroom was excellent. The room was quite dark but very quiet. We had room service one night which was delicious and good value. We tried the rstaurant downstairs first but it was lacking in any atmosphere and the menu was exactly the same. There were uncleared tables even though it was empty. The hotel is on a busy junction and a 10 15 minute walk from the old town and the first part of the walk is not very attractive but at no point did we feel at risk. It was a great location for the main station which we used for a day trip to Cordoba. We used the pool , stema room and sauna one morning which was free. The pool was very cool despite the roof and felt in need of some tlc - especially the decking area. There were loungers around the pool but it was too cool to sit around.The sauna and steam room were good and the heated beds were lovely. The staff did ask us for feedback after we had used the facilities. Overall good value but slightly out of the buzz of Malaga.

Very nice hotel if you are in the area for business. Would not call this a leisure hotel. Pool did not work during our whole stay of 6 nights and SPA area was unmanned and you need to call the front desk for them to switch on steam and sauna rooms, which sometimes takes several calls before they do it. Rooms are spacious and staff are generally attentive although when we asked for restaurant recommendations they recommended some tourist traps. 10-15 minute work to the center and less than 10 minutes to Train station which is convenient. Good standard hotel but disappointed that the pool did not work as that was one reason to book this one.

This is an ideal port hotel. Very modern. Good facilities. Breakfast was average. My only criticism would be that it appears as a very dark environment throughout.

Monte Malaga Hotel was very nicely kitted out and clean. Bed and room were very comfortable. Not central to Cathedral, only a short 10 min walk though. Great location for proximity to railway station. Highly recommend the hotel for an overnight or two night stay.

Stayed in the Monte Malaga 6 nights in July 2011 Location very central Malaga beach 10 mins to the right tourist area 10 mins to the left. Train and Bus station 5 mins away. Located across from Port - not a mariner a port! so lots of activitey ships trucks etc and on main road but very litle noise its actually good to watch the port The hotel is a good 4 star on 7 floors small spar and pool area but good enough to chill out staff excellent - professional enjoyed our stay thier. Ideal base its not a tourist hotel so no activiety at night which suited us. Rooms good quaity Vista Lift at front Very safe and secure hotel

Great hotel for the price

The Monte Malaga is a very modern and comfortable hotel. It is not far from the train station, but far enough that it is not within the seedy neighbourhood that surrounds European train stations. It is a bit of a walk to central Malaga, maybe ten minutes, but because of this is a bit quieter. The service was good, and the hotel offers a 24 hr business centre with free internet access, which for me was a very desirable facility. The food in the bar was fine, but nothing special, and there did not seem to be too many restaurants in the vicinity. I would certainly stay there again.

I chose this hotel for pre and post cruise stays (one night each) and found the hotel to be very comfortable and in a good location - 5 minutes walk to one of the main train stations (very good for the travel to the airport) and 10 minutes or so from the old town/cathedral area and port entrance. Staff helpful and allowed me a short extension to my checkout time to tie in with flight time - at no cost!! Breakfast was of a good quality with plenty of choice. The only black mark was the key card system for access to the rooms - I had to go to reception on three occasions for new key cards. Other than that I enjoyed my short stays at the Hotel Monte Malaga. Cheers Sandy Glasgow, Scotland

This business hotel was very comfortable - lovely huge beds. I asked for a quiet room and the helpful reception staff made sure I had one. It is a 15 mins walk to the heart of the old town, but we didn't mind that as it was such good value for money for a top quality place to stay.

SERVICE HOTELIER TRES BIEN, le service petit déjeuner manque d'une certaine prestance pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, le personnet n'étant pas trés discret et pas du tout organisé!

Hôtel très bien, le descriptif du site ne déçoit pas le client. Nous n'avons pas testé la table. Parfait pour un week-end en amoureux au soleil.

Fint hotell med stort rom og flott bad. Veldig god frokost med godt utvalg. Utsikten fra rommet var ned til containerhavna og det var ikke spesielt spennende. Greit når en kun er på gjennomreise og ikke skal være på ferie i lengre tid. Et typisk foretningshotell.

Excellent hotel mais fort décentré et environnement très bruyant (port maritime et boulevard). Personnel très serviable mais ne donnant pas suffisamment de renseignement concernant tous le confort offert par l'hôtel; Vive la bicyclette pour circuler facilement !

Dejligt hotel i en rigtig hyggelig by. God afstand til byens liv og fin betjening på hotellet. Absolut værd at besøge næste gang.

Bel hôtel moderne situé à 15 mn à pied du centre ville. Chambre spacieuse correctement équipée. Personnel agréable. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est copieux même pendant notre séjour hors saison.

Et godt hotel, som klart kan anbefales. Stor hjælpsomhed hos personalet. Dejligt værelse. God, indendørs swimmingpool. Morgenmaden ok uden at være prangende.

Virkelig godt hotel kun 1km fra centrum. Pæne værelser som var store og rummelige og morgenmaden var helt i top og virkelig god service af hele personalet på hotellet.

L'hôtel est assez bien situé même s'il faut être prêt à marcher un peu. La chambre était propre, suffisamment grande et bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner était très bien et l'ascenseur vitré un petit plus sympa.

Hotel très bien tenu. Beau buffet déjeuner, chambres propres et nettoyées au complet tous les jours.

Hotelli Monte Malaga- lähellä rautatieasemaa, bussiasemaa ja melko lähellä rantaa ja keskustaa. Lentoasemalta pääsee helposti ja nopeasti junalla Malagaan ja sieltä hotellille.

During a recent holiday my husband and I stayed for 9 days and nights at Hotel Monte Malaga. This hotel is exceptionally well run and so very pleasant and comfortable. The hotel staff did their utmost to help any guest and make all guests feel special and welcome. As a guest you meet apparently genuine big smiles on every face and very polite behaviour. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and every square inch/cm carefully designed to give the inhabitant comfort at all times. Everything functions as in a dream to good to be true. We were given a choice between a view to the harbour (no noise from there) or to the hotel swimming pool. We were very pleased with our choice of harbour and some of the sea, but we were glad to make use of the lovely pool with spa effects also. The breakfast buffet is the best, varied and most delicious one we have ever enjoyed. Fantastic! And so is the price - very reasonable. The bar- and restaurant service is very good too, but it has been taken into account thát the hotel is situated at easy walking distance from at least 4-500 good eating places in town and by the sea. Perfect service and help from the reception, of course - and easy car parking below the hotel at an absolutely reasonable price. The sea and the air there is so pure and fresh you will never forget it. I suppose you have guessed, that we would not mind staying at this hotel again. To be fair I should add, that I have stayed at a very large number of 5 or 6 star hotels during an earlier career. Wir waren eine Woche in Málaga und waren mit diesem Hotel sehr zufrieden. Sauber, geplegt, ruhig und modern. Der einzige kleine Nachteil, wenn überhaupt, war der, dass das Hotel ca. 10 - 15 Fußminuten zur Innen- (Alt-) Stadt entfernt war - und ca. die gleiche Strecke zum Strand, wenn man denn dort hinmöchte. Ein Hotel in der Innenstadt wäre aber wahrscheinlich wesentlich lauter gewesen - zumal dort gerade "Ferias" gefeiert wurden. Wir würden beim nächsten Besuch genau dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Very nice hotel, located near the harbour of Malaga. It's a ten minute walk from the train station, which also happens to be a big shopping mall. It will take around 20 minutes to walk down town to the historic center of Malaga. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great and the room was clean and spacious. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the entrace of the harbour where you can take a shuttle bus out to the cruise ship if you are going on a cruise. All in all a very nice hotel:)

Ble positivt overrasket over hotellet. Nært stranda, kort gåtur til gågata i sentrum. Rommene var store og det var bad med to vasker. Bassenget ble brukt ved flere anledninger. Dusjene var også kjekke å ha med bruk av badstuene. Var også mulig å bli med på tur til Gibraltar gjennom hotellet. Pakeringskjelleren var kjempegreit plassert rett under bygningen med heis opp til rommet. Var litt glatt i dusj/badekaret så jeg skled og slo både ribbein og kne i den skarpe kanten. Ellers meget fornøyd med vårt opphold i Malaga og på hotellet. Anbefales!

Vi overnatteder der en dag og det var høj kvalitigt og service i et modernet hotel. super område tæt på centrum samt tæt på strand osv, her vil jeg helt klart komme igen personalet var super søde.

Veldig bra hotell med god frokost. Kort avstand til det meste og absolutt å anbefale. Det er ikke stort mye å si enn at vi hadde et topp opphold.

Dejligt hotel der er at besøge

Hotel was absolutely great and well worth of its four stars. The breakfast buffet was great. One of us had an acute health problem (BTW not caused by alcohol) and he could not participate to the breakfast buffet - his breakfast was taken to room without separate room service request; similarly, our leaving was delayed due to this same problem, and though this definetly caused problems for the hotel personnel as we visited the hotel during the most busiest holiday season, everybody were very kind and considering.

Buen servico. Limpio y desayuno variado. Lo recomiendo

Olin perheen (lähes aikuisia lapsia) kanssa Malagassa ja tämä hotelli yllätti täydellisen hyvin, kun palvelu toimi englanniksi, huoneet olivat siistejä ja hinta oli kilpailukykyinen. Hotelli sopii erittäin hyvin yritysvieraille ja kokouksiin. I was with the family (almost adult children) in Malaga and surprised in this hotel good service in english, the rooms were clean and the price was competitive. The hotel is ideal for corporate guests and meetings.

Dyr frukost och inte speciellt bra med svenska mått mätt. (14€) man kan dock hitta bra alternativ 5 minuter från hotellet, säkert 5-6 cafeer.(5€)

This was a really great 4-star hotel. Only 10 min walk to the long beach shore. In the other direction it's 10 min walk to the city centre. The hotel has a high standard, the rooms are spacy, the bath is really nice, the restaurant is good and there was a fine breakfast buffet. We spent two nights at the hotel and had dinner both evenings at the restaurant. We took a guided citytour in the 24h hop on - hop off bus. We got a nice overview of the city with its buildings and streets. We actually stopped at the city beach for a swim and then on the bus again. We recommend the hotel.
