Really enjoyed our time here. Motel location is great, close to the strip without the noise. Can't really fault anything. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, kitchenette room, which was excellent. Reception staff were friendly. Pool area was nice (they even have a BBQ there), Gym had good facilities also. If we ever go back to Vegas this is the place we will most likely stop at again.

I was there with 6 of my friends for a fun filled week. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. This hotel is very close to the strip, right across from MGM maybe a 5 min walk. We were able to check in early and check out late. There is a dinner near there called Co Co's and they had really good food for low prices. The rooms were nice and fully stocked, heated pool, FREE breakfast but just the basic, Free WINE and BEER but it was limited. Overall very nice, would stay again, again...

Great family friendly hotel. Organized an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. We were in a 2 bed room- lots of space, well equipped kitchen with Granite Kitchen counter top. Free Breakfast was very busy, but the Happy hour was very relaxed, free drinks and snacks by the pool. A short walk to all of the strip. Non smoking and non casino hotel so quieter, but so nice to escape all mayhem of the strip. Hotel staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a place at walking distance from the strip but where I still had a chance to get relaxed. The hotel offered that and much more, with an excelent service and amicable staff. It was my first trip to Las Vegas and we are already planning the next one, of course to the Desert Rose.

On a long road trip we wanted to stop in Vegas due to its location, not the casinos. With a young family of 5, we didn't want the smoke, crowds, or inappropriate visuals of the Strip to ruin our evening. We chose the Desert Rose Resort and could NOT have been happier! The rooms were so large, very well appointed, tastefully decorated, clean, and I can imagine a longer stay would have been even better using the full kitchen in our room. The morning's breakfast buffet had everything I could have wanted in a breakfast - eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes, breads, cereals, coffees, juices, yogurt, granola, you name it. There was ample seating (especially compared to other "complimentary breakfast" hotels we've stayed at before). Weekday You're within a short walk (maybe 1/2 mile) to Mandalay Bay at the south end of the Strip. I'd strongly recommend this hotel if you want to stay near the action, but have a restful night sleep and a peaceful breakfast. We were very pleased with the staff, though we didn't need anything beyond basic check-in and check-out. The pool looked clean and enjoyable, but we didn't have time to swim. We will definitely return when we stop in Vegas next time!

My husband and I were very pleased with the Desert Rose Resort. We are not gamblers and wanted a quiet place to stay that was away from the loud casino noises. Even though we weren't directly on the strip our tour bus for the Grand Canyon picked us up right in front of the resort. The room was clean and very comfortable. It was a short walk to the main strip. They offered a free continental breakfast, but it wasn't the best. We would difinitely stay at the Desert Rose again.

We had a wonderful time in a quiet, but convenient location just off the strip but within walking distance. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms have full kitchens and separate bedrooms with comfortable beds. Great for families and couples.

This is a fabulous hotel for families or anyone who does not want a casino in their hotel. The service was excellent - from pre-stay to checkin and check out. Breakfast is provided which is good and the suites are a good size and have everything you need. My only complaint in our 2 bedroom suite is the hide a bed mattress was super uncomfortable. My nephew slept on it - or I should say did not sleep well at all. otherwise no complaints. The pool and hot tub were just awesome. I have only one other beef - the fitness room has no weights and the equipment is obviously very used. other than those 2 things I cannot recommend this place enough. Close enough yet far away enough from the Strip and airport and acesss to highways. Just right. We had a blast

We spent Spring Break in Las Vegas to visit with my parents, not to gamble but to view the diferent casinos and take in some shows. The Desert Rose is remarkably convenient to the Strip, just down from the MGM Grand. Very cozy digs, wonderful free breakfast and happy hour. A good place to retreat to between day and night to recharge. My only complaints are that the fitness room doesn't have a weight training machine, and the fold out bed (we had a two bedroom unit) for our son was essentially unusable because the mattress was thin and the frame interfered with sleep. There is free wifi that is a little slow, and the pool was nice.

We just returned from 4 days in Las Vegas and stayed at the Desert Rose in a 2 bedroom condo with our 2 teenage daughters. It was a good, affordable alternative to the casino hotels. Fairly close to the southern end of the Strip, but still a good walk to the corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd. Looks closer on the map than it is as the blocks in LV and about double the length in most cities. The condo was clean and provided plenty of the room for everyone. Only real complaints were 1) no extra roll of toilet paper in the condo and 2) the breakfast buffet is a zoo with too many people for too few places to sit and eat. We ended up sitting by the pool one chilly morning and took it back to our room on another (no trays or easy way to carry enough for 4). Overall, a great choice if you want to be away from the hustle and crowds of the casinos, but be prepared for some lengthy walks.

We loved this place. Very quiet and away from the casinos and smoke yet walking distance to the Strip.

we arrived filled with anticipation on arrival not only were there issues around booking which is been dealt with seperatly but the staff were unhelpful and uncooperative, we were dispappointed in the appearance of the reception it was unkept and tatty it all appeared very outdated and one could even describe it as grubby, the breakfst waas poor quality and served on paperplates with plastic cutlery. we found it completely different to the reviews as I said very disappointing

This hotel is comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The rooms and facilities are very good and are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. They offer an excellent complementary breakfast and happy hour. The location is close to the strip, the airport and major roads, yet is quiet and private. The staff make a very positive impact on the success of the hotel.

Nothing more than very satisfied. Definately recommend and stay again.

Great pool. Super 2 bedroom suite great for adults and 2 teenage daughters. VERY friendly and helpful staff. 3 storey, easy parking, fast in and out. Buffet breakfast and complimentary drinks in evening, free starbucks coffee all day. Great way to access 100% of Vegas without being immersed in it 24/7. Great place to stay.

Great Place for families to stay in Las Vegas. Away from the Casinos and in a nice quiet place close to the Strip. The suites with living room, bedroom and a full kitchen is an absolute delight. This, along with the complimentary breakfast and efficient staff make it the best hotel in Las Vegas for families.

We decided on the Desert Rose Hotel after searching MANY different Las Vegas hotel reviews. Our desire was to be close to the strip but in a quite/safe location. The hotel exceeded our expectations...the rooms are spacious, modern and clean and is located within a reasonable walking distance to the strip. The hotel staff is amazing, especially the staff attending to the breakfast are, they were most helpful and pleasant. The breakfast consisted of eggs, meat, potatos, fruit, yogurt, cereal etc. and the evening reception is a nice feature if you are at the hotel during this time. We will definately stay here in the future!

Good clean affordable hotel, friendly staff.

Our 2 bdrm, 2 bath condo was immaculate. It was well maintained, and squeaky clean. The beds were comfortable, and it was quiet. The kitchen was stocked with a variety of dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. You could cook anything if you wanted to. If you have a car, there is a Walmart with a grocery store near by. The hotel is located within easy walk to the Vegas strip. The free hot buffet breakfast was excellent, well presented, and constantly replenished. There was a good selection of hot and cold foods and a large variety of drinks. Go early, as there are line ups if you go after 8am. The staff were wonderful. Everyone had a smile on their face and was willing to help you in any way that they could. The front desk attendants are welcoming and knowledgeable. The buffet attendants are eager to please and accomodating. The room cleaning staff were thorough. The pool is warm, 80 degrees. It is clean and well maintained. The sun loungers are padded and comfortable. There is a sitting area near the pool with patio tables and chairs, with 2 gas barbeques if you want to bbq your meals. There is free wifi, free parking, free manager's reception with beer and wine daily, all in addition to the free breakfast. You cannot beat this value. No one else offers this in Vegas at this price! There is also a computer in the lobby, where you can print off your airline boarding passes for free. This resort caters primarily to families with kids, large and small. There did not appear to be smoking in any of the public areas. It is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the Vegas craziness, a nice retreat from all the smoky, noisy casinos.

A charming hotel just behind the strip, the personnel is highly qualified and really charming, once or twice the room was not done on a thourough way and the lights were always left on. Do not ask for a room with a view on the Strip, the view is not worth is and it is way too noisy, overall very confortable and charming hotel perhaps too noisy. We loved our stay and would definitely go back there.

It's a gem indeed. Wonderful all suite hotel off the Strip. No casino, no gambling. Clean, tidy, comfortable... The best choice in Vegas.

Our family went to Vegas for a sports competition, and ended up switching to the Desert Rose after our first accommodations were not up to par. We weren't looking for Vegas nightlife on our trip so the Desert Rose Resort was a perfect find for our family. It is close to the strip for easy sightseeing, but the hotel itself does not have a casino, and feels a long way from the busyness of Vegas entertainment. I recommend this hotel because it is quiet and family friendly... two things very difficult to find in Vegas!

Overall this hotel was fantastic if you need to be close to the strip but don't want to be on the strip. The hotel was non-smoking except on the balconies and outside and fairly quiet. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast could have used a little variety but it was nice not to have to find breakfast on the strip. Parking was easy and free. If the need to come back to Vegas arises, I would definitely select the Desert Rose again.

I really like this place, within walking distance to the Las Vegas strip. Rooms are quite large with full amenities, and the included breakfast is great.

fantastic room, all new furnishings, great bed and full kitchen. Perfect! The breakfast was included but I never got up early enough....oh well...

We were impressed with the friendliness of the hotel staff, good breakfast, smoke free environment and comfy beds. It's about a ten minute walk to the strip and monorail.

It's has a very comfortable bed and room. It's amazing to have a full-equipped kitchen for you to cook. Although it's a little bit far away from the center of main street, it's still convenient to take monorail, WAX, or DEUCE for transportation.

We stayed in Desert Rose Resort Hotel for 3 nights. It is well located, close to the strip, yet very quiet area that was important to us. Rooms are spacious and beds are big and comfortable. It's nice to have separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Free breakfast was very nice! We would definetely recomend this hotel especially to a family traveling with kids.

We chose this hotel because of all the positive reviews about it. Out visit there even exceeded our expectations. Our check-in was handled in a very professional and friendly way by Greg. Whenever we had an enquiry about Las Vegas, Greg or any of the other staff on duty offered very kind assistance. The room was found to be very clean, tidy and fresh smelling. We were particularly impressed with its size. We booked a two bedroom unit as our children accompanied us, and were pleased to find that each bedroom had a en-suite bathroom. It also had a comfortable size lounge and a kitchen fully stocked with crockery and utensils. We enjoyed the continental breakfast as well as the cocktail reception that was offered every evening between 5 – 7 pm where complimentary snacks and drinks were provided. The hotel has a well maintained heated swimming pool and surrounding gardens. We were also impressed with the fast maintenance response experienced. Quite late one evening the one toilet overflowed. Once we reported it to reception, the maintenance service arrived within a few minutes and fixed the problem. Immediately after they had left, house keeping turned up to clean up the bathroom. We also found the complimentary internet service very efficient. With The Desert Rose being only one block away from Las Vegas Boulevard (the strip) we found it to be the ideal hotel if you want to experience all the happenings at Las Vegas but still spend quiet evenings back at the hotel.

Past reviews covered this place well. A good, complimentary breakfast, free drinks with chips/salsa early evening and a good location if you don't mind walking a bit to strip casino/hotels. Staff was friendly & helpful. Agood place to stay a few days with a decent kitchen.

If you´re looking for a great location for a very afordabale price, this is the right choice. On my next stay in Las Vegas will return.

This was a great hotel at a great price - the only down side was the madness at breakfast. The food was fine once you could get to it and then there was nowhere to sit to eat it! If this could be addressed I would be certain to recommend it to anyone

Happy with our stay, rooms clean and comfortable and only short walk to strip, staff friendly and accomodating.

I loved it here. It is the perfect place for families, as you can see Vegas, but leave the crowds and casinos behind at night. It is a 5 minute walk to the MGM lobby. The resort is clean and well run. We had a two bedroom suite, and it easily met the needs of our family. I liked having Starbucks coffee in the lobby all the time, and the breakfast included eggs and sausage which was nice. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family.
