Overall it was very good. The room was clean, and very large. I went to the restaurant and bar twice and the quality of the food was good, the bartenders were excellent, very friendly. It's close to a Metro train station so that was very convenient, and DuPont Circle is a great neighborhood with lots of shopping and a variety of restaurants.

I absolutely loved this hotel but probably would not stay here again. The service is amazing. The bartenders were incredible. Great food and drinks big room and nice bathroom in a great location. HOWEVER, the door to your room is so heavy when ever ANY one on your floor goes in or out they slam shut waking you etc... The walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. Also, it is a pet friendly hotel, which is nice, but i heard a poor little dog left by it's owners whimpering and whining down the hall. As well as two rather large dogs encountering each other at the elevator at 7:00 am waking me. I will ALWAYS go back for drinks and food but will not stay there again.

Large room. Sizable desk with multiple outlets for laptops, smart device connections. Great for business travelers. Restaurant/bar in Lobby were both excellent. Very short walk to DuPont Circle Metro, shops, restaurants, night life, etc. $10/day for internet/Wifi access. Comfort of bed was average. Early AM noise in corridor woke me 3 of 4 nights.

Happy with the hotel, the only issue we had was with room service foof selection during late hours. Good location, service, clean and comfortable room.

You will hear doors slamming like it was the Motel 6, and housekeeping staff on their walkie talkies. Maybe nobody will be at the door to greet you or take your bag upstairs, but they're really sweet and they're trying. They gave me complimentary milk and cereal at midnight when I arrived. But it's a small space compared with the Sofitel, for example, and you might be sensitive to noise that you definitely will hear. I think they're going to upgrade and it will get better. But...

Wanted to stay in a nice hotel after a long drive with my wife from ny. Bellhop service was good even though it was 1AM and room wasn't that big but was very clean and very modern. The only 2 complaints I had was there was no fridge in the room and the concierge didn't inform me the valet parking was $48. It's really not that big of a deal but got annoyed when I woke up to find a receipt of $48 for valet parking slipped under my door. I'd still give it another chance...maybe

Rooms were clean and spacious, comfortable beds, decor was mod n swanky; we loved it. We had connecting rooms so kids had space, a mini frig in the room. They had coffee (great coffee) & tea in the morning and wine and snacks in the evening. Staff is really courteous knowledgable of the area, cabs easy right outside hotel.

The wine reception was an added bonus to my stay.

Aside from Kimptons, I'm not a big fan of chain hotels. The Palomar was magnificent, even compared to the high standard that all Kimpton hotels have set for themselves. Great location near DuPont circle. Free upgrade to a suite upon arrival. Free wine for happy hour. Exceptionally nice customer service. Heck, the valet parking was even fairly priced and that NEVER happens in Washington DC. Well done Hotel Palomar, A+ for you :)

I was visiting from the west coast and this hotel was PERFECT. Much needed break from the average starwood, corporate expereince. The decor is gorgeous, the wine tasting and the bar are fabulous, the location is super central, I just can't get enough. 5 stars all the way.

Small, friendly and quirky, Hotel Palomor hotel stands apart from the large, cold, bland 5-star hotels I stay in all over. Where else could I interrupt thinking about work to discuss with staff Jack Kerouac, Nat King Cole or Tom Ford?

Front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. In-room spa services were booked and they helped us find a great local place within walking distance. They also helped recommend a great sports bar to watch the playoff games! Great hotel bar with fun cocktails downstairs. The Spa Suite was amazing! All staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I have already referred friends and family to Hotel Palomar!

We loved this hotel! Room was exceptional and the employees are so nice, the door men especially - seemed like they really cared about the place they work at. The wine reception built a little community of all the guest and we would love to stay there again. A little far away from the tourists attractions and we had a dog so it was hard to keep coming back to walk the dog, next time we stay we will look for a hotel closer to the national mall, white house, or museums. The area also had a lot of great restaurants and shops around it. all very close.

Rooms and bathrooms are tiny. You won't even be able to put your toothbrush near the sink. By the time the water reaches the temperature you wanted, you'll be long done washing hands. At 8AM it becomes way too noisy to sleep - doors close with the sound of a thunder and room service sound like they talk in your room. Overall, it's not a bad hotel, but for the same price in Washington you can find much better.

We loved the Palomar...just back from 5 nights at this cozy and plush boutique hotel, near Dupont Circle. The staff was extraordinarily friendly, the room was lovely (though small)...the only thing missing was a comfy chair to sit on! We'd definitely go back. Great to have free newspapers, hot chocolate, coffee, and wine in the lobby most times of the day.

We stayed in this hotel because we were attending a company holiday party there and wanted a little romantic getaway. The hotel and rooms were very tastefully decorated and comfortable. All staff was very courteous. The hotel is in close proximity to great restaurants, and to metro stations. While we consider staying here a bit of a splurge, we definitely enjoyed our stay and feel like it was worth it.

This is a terrific place to stay just 2 blocks from Dupont Circle. As is usually true with Kimpton hotels, the room was spacious, quiet, and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Only drawback is it is not easy to get to Reagan National Airport on the metro (Dupont station is close but getting to the airport requires a change), but a cab was quick for $15. Hotel is very close to the Phillips Collection and all Dupont and Adams Morgan eateries are in easy walking distance. I didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, but Pain Quotidien is a block away and serves a great breakfast.

A beautifully decorated hotel, good location that should tick all the boxes, however, it fails completely one the most basic of requirements, that of privacy. The walls between the rooms are paper thin so that you can literally hear every conversation going on in the neighbouring rooms - we were kept awake every night and woken up every morning. Really not acceptable at this price and no, beautiful decorations and comfortable bed does not make up for this! I won't stay here again which is a real shame...

I enjoyed my stay. The restaurant in the hotel is mediocre. The room was small, but very nice. I was surprised to not have a coffee maker in the room. Overall, this is a decent place.

I was originally going to book the Ritz Carlton as it was close to my daughters apartment but she really wanted me to bring our seven month old puppy, so my search for "pet friendly hotel" came up with the Palomar. Having never traveled with our older dogs, imagine my surprise when the hotel sent up not only a fabulous plush dog bed, but also dog bowls for water and food! The room was clean and there was no evidence of previous pets. I will certainly consider the Palomar for my next visit.

Everyone at the Palomar was friendly and helpful. I was a little more needy than usual, needing cabs, room service, printing services, an in room coffee maker, luggage storage after check out, etc. Each request was met with a smile and taken care of promptly. Also, my room was huge! I would definitely stay here again.

A nice hotel with Vegas-sized rooms (and Vegas styled tiger print bathrobes), on the lux side at a very reasonable price. Room was clean, generous with the towels, overall quite comfortable, no "boutique" corner cutting, all the full amenities (incl free wifi you don't usually get at high enders) and good service. Good location very near DuPont Circle.

Loved everything about this hotel, especially the wine hour in the main lobby everyday. Definitely would recommend this hotel to people around my age (I'm 24) and for adults that like to have fun.

A fabulous hotel , not cheap butI would recommend it to anyone staying In Washington. When i arrived i was upgraded to a suite and had antipasto, chocolates, fruit & a bottle of bubbly waiting in my room. The room was large with everything you could want. Location was good close to transport. Joe the barman was fantastic he had a great personality and many locals came to the bar. The hotel couldn't do enough for you!!

My husband and I decided to go into the city for one night to celebrate his birthday. The hotel was really busy (it seemed like there was a wedding), but everyone on the staff was exceptional. We loved our room (King Spa) and enjoyed the complimentary happy hour--they just happened to also have free fresh oysters in the bar! We definitely recommend the Palomar, and after staying there twice, will likely be back again.

Palomar dc is located in duping circle area. 3 blocks to metro, short walk to Georgetown. Drug stores and restaurants within 2 blocks. Recommend Scion rest across the street for casual fare. Pool was awesome, staff is extremely helpful. I traveled w/ an infant and a two year old and we were all comfortable there.

Very accomodating and comfortable hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous. Will for sure stay there again.
