Days Inn Yorktown - يوركتاون

We liked everything but the breakfast. We didn't go to breakfast until 9:10, and saw only sweetened cereals and small individually wrapped muffins, and plain white bread. .I would suggest adding plain corn flakes or corn or rice Chex , which most adults would probably prefer. We went out to breakfast.

Renovation work was in progress when I arrived. The exterior signage was missing, making the hotel difficult to locate.

hotel is under construction. do not recommend staying there till construction is done.

FRIENDLY MANAGER BUT HOTEL IN MIDDLE OF RENOVATION/CHANGE-OVER OF OWNERSHIP. LIMITED SERVICE AVAILABLE, POOR UNDERSTANDING OF ENGLISH BY SOME OF THE DESK ATTENDENTS. NOT MUCH BREAKFAST TO OFFER AND ROOMS JUST NOT QUITE FINISHED. BUT...PRICE OF STAY MADE IT WORTH PUTTING UP WITH!

Granted I arrived at midnight but there were no outside lights and the lobby appeared to be closed. The sign out front was covered with a tarp and a small sign "Rodeway Inn, now open". The front desk was simply a pad of paper, a calculator, and a card key machine with a non-English speaking gentleman. He asked that I write my confirmation number and name in a sticky note and instructed me to room 111. We gathered our luggage and set out to find our room. What an adventure! The rooms were labeled as any hotel with their respective numbers but in addition to those there were sticky notes on every door assigning then new numbers. We found 111 and the room ok for what we had paid I suppose. I do think that the brown stained comforters could have used cleaning, on the floor they went. In the morning around 9, we went to check out and I politely asked the same man who checked me in if I needed to do anything for check out "No, what room?" "One eleven" "huh?" "1-1-1" "oh! 119 ok" ...knowing I'd already paid online we decided not to argue with the man and make a run for our safety. I will be watching my statements to ensure I'm not charged with a no-show or anything else. Next time I book I'll be sure to make a follow-up call to make sure that things are as they seemed.

Staff was very plesant; liked setup of room.

Hotel was under construction and having a name change. no sign on the road and I was not the only one that drove by that night. elevator was broken and it seemed like they had not even called a repair tech even when we were leaving. the room was clean except there was build up of dust on the edges of the rug. there was plaster dust all over the place in the hall way. everyone looked at the continental breakfast and said What???. The picture on the site is not true. there was mini bagels 3 cereals that crushed with the portion machine, no juice, no tea, no fruit. I would not recommendpaul this hotel at all even after all the name changes from Days in to roadway inn to Comfort Inn.

Hotel was adequate and served it's purpose. Considering it's age I thought that it could have been better maintained.

Front desk personnel continually made derogatory remarks about the owner. Front desk personnel needs to be more familar with the operation of the computer system, ie. extending stays. Must have patience when dealing with the front desk personnel and their lack of knowledge in the operation of the computer system. While room was basically clean (bed linens, towels) shower curtain had mold at the bottom of the curtain. Carpet is in BAD need of replacement, is coming up in several places.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels but this was the worst stay I have ever had! The floor of the hotel they put us on was under construction and the room was full of drywall particles and had a terrible chemical smell - probably from paint and who knows what else. My wife woke up with a sore throat that lasted the entire next day. Breakfast was very minimal consisting of only cold cereal and bagels. I would never stay here again!

Desk clerk was discussing personal problems during check in. Was telling customer about problems with spouse. He made the customer very uncomfortable. Asked customer where he could get good BBQ that he was hungry. Noticed a beeping noise around 9:30 to 10 PM. Battery in smoke detector was low and kept beeping. Did offer and change room from smoking to non-smoking room. Will not at this hotel again.

IT WAS OK, BUT THE STAFF WAS HARD TO UNDERSTAND ENGLISH

The Hotel is in a good location. Close to downtown Newport News and the beaches of Yorktown. Great hotel if you know your way around the local area. The hotel was clean. Basic breakfast in the morning. Like it that it had microwave and fridge. The hotel was worth the price.

Clean bed, clean bathroom and breakfast in the morning. What can i say it met all my needs.

Staying at the Days Inn was a great stay for me. I am glad that i chose that hotel. I was very close to where I had to go. Soon as I got there, someone came to the front desk and waited on me. It only took 2 mins for him to check me in and gave me the keys to my room and there I slept peacefully. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going that way and the price was great too. thank you so much.

We checked into our room just fine. When we got to our room it was clean, except the bathroon floor was sticky. I went to plug in my phone charger into the recepticle behind the nightstand and it did not have a recepticle cover. The nights stay was fine, but when we went down the next morning at 8:30 to have breakfast, the coffee and milk were empty. I had to ring the front bell several times before finally an very annoyed woman came out. She didnt say anything, she just looked at me as though I was bothering her. I asked if we could get more coffee and milk and she rolled her eyes, turned around and walked out the door. She appeared a few minutes later with a gallon of milk and went into the side kitchen to make coffee. She replaced the containers and walked away without saying a word.The main dissatisfaction was the service. When ever we needed something, we would have to ring the front bell several times and then we felt we were an inconvience once we got someone to help us. Because of that, we will not stay there again. For the price we paid for one night's stay...I think it more than covered the cost of manners and appreciation for our business.

The staff at Days Inn were exceptional. This was my first time to Virginia and they put me at ease immediately giving me assistance on the best times to travel to avoid rush hour and directed me to sites I was unfamiliar with. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of cigarettes but that goes with the territory when you go to a hotel that serves both smokers and non-smokers. I wish the hotel would be smoke free and just provide a gazebo or area outside that would accomodate smokers. Cigarrette smoke ruins the clean smell even if the room is clean. My room was a non-smoker but the elevator and hallway smelt like old cigarette:-(

It was OK for an overnight stay I guess. We had a smoking room where the blankets on the beds had cigarette burns all in them and some of the towels were very frayed (they should have been replaced). When we arrived and rang for service the attendant was very bland, took the info she needed, and went back in the back. We did not get a friendly feeling upon arrival.

Overall my stay was good for the reduced price on hotels.com. At regular price they need new towels and air freshers.

The building and the location are good, centrally located between Yorktown and Newport News, right on Rt. 17. The service is non-existent. The only time I ever saw anyone at the front desk was when they responded to the buzzer at the. The woman who checked me in at 3 PM emerged from the back wearing pajamas! The trash can/ashtray in the front of the hotel piled up with trash and pizza boxes. It was a week before anyone bothered to clean it. The front doors were often locked well after midnight every night. Not good when there is never anyone at the front desk. The price was cheap, though. I don't think I would stay there agin, mostly because due to the lack of security.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. This was our second time and we somehow got the same room. The best thing was the price of our stay this time. We are on a fixed income and the reduced price was a great help to us.

Wonderful hotel for the price. My room and bath were very clean, although the hotel itself is a little run-down looking in the corridors. The desk staff was efficient and nice. The free breakfast is nothing much but you are on a busy highway and so very near Starbucks and IHOP as well as other eateries. I would say this is a great value for the money!

Convenient to historic Yorktown, Patrick Henry Mall and other shopping locations. Didn't have much of a continental breakfast, but was very pet friendly.

The hotel is located in a quiet part of York County with easy access to NN, Hampton, and I-64. Not all rooms in the hotel are created equal but this one was great for the price! Wireless internet was a little flaky at times, but definitely recommend this hotel for business travel and couples on the road.

the hotel room I reserved last week had roaches. would not stay there again .

The hotel was a mess. The room was nasty as well as the bathroom. I wont be back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Hotel was clean and neat but sheets had stains, lucky it was on my side cause if my wife had seen it things would have been bad

We were very pleased with the cleaniness and the size of the room. We were also very happy to see a good sized refrigator and a microwave as well as free wi-fi. We had just come from the Marriot Waterside in Nolfolk,Va. As you know that is a very high priced hotel and they did not even have free wi-fi. The refrigator was very small and they had no micro-wave. This Days Inn was very refreshing after being at the Marriot. I would reccomend this hotel to any one who wants a nice stay for a reasonably price.

For the price, it beats the other hotels in the area.

The hotel was clean and inexpensive, perfect for our needs of a place to get clean and sleep. Don't expect much from the continental Breakfast except juice and some cereal choices. Excellent value for our purposes.

First day : Check-in Only one sheet on bed! Second Day: Came back in evening, Room not made-up at all, room and bathroom not cleaned, towels on floor, no tissues, garbage overflowing trash cans. Desk comment both days: "we are sorry but we have new maids". Price Cheap, and free breakfast fare "Fruit Loops" and small bagels. "Yummy" Incidentally, I never give adverse comments unless they I had very bad experience I will never stay in a Days Inn, two bad hotels in a row!

A convenient place that is not on the interstate. Very comfortable room. Basic breakfast. Microwave and fridge in the room a big plus. Would certainly stay for business again. Would consider for family when touring.
