My husband and I were very happy with our stay in this hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. No trouble to help us with shoe repairs, rental cars, where to buy a hard drive etc. A very good location with the metro and tourist bus very close. Also such sights as the Palace, Cathedral, food market, Plaza Mayor etc. With the Opera house on the corner we were able to attend a concert our first night there - would not have felt up to travelling to somewhere else in the city for this after a long flight.

Great location for this boutique hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathroom was a bit disappointing but I was only spending one evening in a basic room. I was able to see two other rooms before booking this hotel and they seemed to be nice as well. The staff was friendly and if you chose to have breakfast, it was very reasonable. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

Our room, with two twin beds pushed together was sufficently roomy with a nice shower. The hotel is in a good location within a half block of the Opera Metro station but the room was quiet at night. A very decent buffet breakfast including good croissants, ham, cheese and a warm potatoe pie, along with assorted pastries, from 7:30 to Noon. Our luggage didn't arrive for two days; when it did they helped bring it to our room. Friendly service and reasonable rates.

Hotel is located at a very close proximity to most of the tourist sites Service was excellent Rooms are not very big but large enough

Room Mate Mario is a very well priced hotel in a perfect location- walkig distance to everywhere you need to go in Madrid. Very simple hotel, but it is very trendy and clean, and a great option for the budget conscious. We were very impressed!

My husband and I went to this hotel for our honeymoon and found the reception staff to be very warm and inviting. The hotel room is fairly small, so those with huge luggage bags might face some difficulties packing and unpacking. But the room is clean and comfortable, with a quirky decor. The location is great, within walking distance to many shops, including a huge El Corte Ingles (BEST department store in Spain!), and the Opera metro station. Taxi stand is 50m from the hotel, which is convenient for those who wish to grab a cab to go to places. Breakfast provided at the hotel has quite a good variety with delicious peace juice, which I'm still thinking about! :) Highly recommended hotel!

The title says it all. The only complaint is the rooms are small, but that is Europe in general. Not much privacy for the bathroom would be my only complaint. The staff is the most friendliest around & very helpful. Good location. Exit the subway at the Opera Station, then look for the Burger King & its halfway up the hill.

Finally I have found a hotel in Madrid that I think I'll go back to on all future trips to Madrid. The location is really perfect - on a shady and very quiet street at the Plaza del Opera - near the Plaza Mayor and Latina neighbourhoods and also just a short walk from Gran Via and trendy Chueca. The hotel was clean, comfortable, very modern and the staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation at all.

All aspects of teh hotel were right up our street - the location was fantastic and we could walk to all obve the major sights, the Palace is just arround the corner; the rooms were basic but funky, not an issue as we were out having New Year fun in a very vibrant part of town; the staff were great and even helped us find a fantastic resturant for NYE. All in all we had a belting stay and i would highly recomend this place for a convenient, cheap but chic stay in a fantastic city

This is a lovely hotel with helpful staff and a good location. The breakfast was a delicious option and recommended!

Great hotel - clean, friendly and helpful staff, great location near the opera house and the Palacio Real and an easy walk to many attractions. I will stay there again.

The hotel was very close to the subway, and to the Royal Palace. Walking distance to most of the sights. The only problem with the room was that the sliding glass door to the bathroom was sometimes not enough to stop shower water from leaking onto the carpet. Not too much but enough to be annoying

I stayed in that hotel for 2 nights in Madrid. First of all, it's in good location. You can go to royal palace in 3 minutes and Pueta de Sol as well which is in the middle of city attractions. Staffs were all nice and helpful. However, room was very small and smelled like old mold. When I turned on air conditioner, smoking smell came in. I opened the window, sewer smell came in. Also, bathroom is very small , and water leaked to all over the room during shower.

The big surprise was that the room was tiny and cramped. The bed was comfy, but there was no room to put anything. Would have appreciated less skimpiness on toiletries like soap etc. Really quite basic, The view from our window was the wall of another building, Having said that, the location was very convenient and close to everything in old Madrid, there was a full breakfast included, and the front desk staff were super nice. Madrid can be really noisy at night, this place was very tranquil for sleeping.

Hip modern design, but the room was small, cramped. Location worked well for us, close to the train station and the opera. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast included.

Very hip decor, but the bed could have been softer. Room was a bit tight. Staff was very nice, location was convenient for us, and the breakfast got us off to a good start. Free wifi is a plus, as is the Inroom safe. They shoe-horned the hotel into existing spaces, so the hallway layout is rather convoluted.

The location was perfect, ideal for sightseeing. Clean and modern with very comfortable beds. The staff were more than helpful and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and couldn't be faulted.

Har hatt et supert opphold i Madrid på dette hotellet. Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt til i forhold til alle severdighetene. Til kun å være et tostjernes hotell så er dette hotellet utrolig bra. Flott rom, rent og pent og bra frokost. Kommer gjerne hit igjen.

moderno e a due passi dalla metro, stanza accessoriata, e personale molto gentile anche se nesuno parlava italiano.

Dejligt hotel. Super centralt. Metro 3 min. væk. Gågade 5 min. væk. Rolig beliggenhed ingen gadestøj om natten (vi havde værelse mod indre gård). Super rengøring og venlig service i receptionen. Lille badeværelse m. wc uden ret meget privatliv - skydedør. Ret lydt indenfor, du kan høre når andre gæster komme hjem, bader, skyller ud i wc mv. Meget hårde madrasser. Men beliggenheden opvejer det hele.

Great location.

Godt centralt beliggende hotel - tæt på Operaen, Slottet, Plaza Mayor og Puerto del Sol pladsen.

La atencion del personal , fantastica. La habitacion original , practica y comoda.

ottimo hotel nel vero centro della capitale Spagnola, ottima pulizia delle camere e ottimo servizio . Peccato la moquette nelle camere . Da raccomandare !!!

Bokade Mate Mario för att det låg centralt och för sitt tysta läge. Dessutom billigt. Med tanke på detta tycker vi att det är ett mycket prisvärt hotell. Trevlig personal och bra städat. Som också andra påpekat var rummet ganska litet och sängen, med svenska mått mätt, ganska hård. Men på det hela taget är vi jättenöjda med hotellet och kan gärna rekommendera det.

Muito bom hotel, maravilhosa localização, café da manhã, muito gostoso...apesar de servirem poucas opções de frutas... O atendimento e a atenção do staff, também me deixaram muito satisfeita... Tivemos problemas com o hospede de cima (barulho), mas que logo foi resolvido pela equipe do hotel... Tudo muito bom!!!! Excelente!!!

Очень приятный отель. В комнатах чисто и уютно. Находится в самом сердце Мадрида, поэтому основные достопримечательности в шаговой доступности. С персоналом почти не общались, но если возникали какие то вопросы или просьбы, отвечали доброжелательно и с пониманием. Остались ооочень довольны, будем советовать всем знакомым.

Hotel situato nel centro di Madrid a due passi dalle principali attrazioni. Non abbiamo neanche avuto bisogno della Metropolitana per girare. Camera pulita e comfortevole. Persolnale davvero fantastico, disponibilissimo!!! Grazie mille.

Hotellet levede fuldt op til sine 2,5 stjerner. Værelserne var gode, beliggenheden central og morgenmaden upåklgelig. Receptionen var fleksibel og sørgede for at vi kunne få et værelse da vi ankom (længe før tjeck in tid). Det skal dog bemærkes at hotellet er noget slidt og besværligt indrettet og at værelserne er noget lydte.

The hotel is probably very good for those not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. Its not fancy, but is clean, adequate and in an excellent location for tourists. The rooms overlooking the "courtyard area" are rather small, and ours was particularly dark because it had almost no natural light and was quite cramped as well. There was really no room to put our suitcases once we'd unpacked, so moving around in the room was awkward. We were upgraded two days later to a room facing the street which was much more pleasant and slightly more spacious. The counter staff are very friendly.
