I had a great time staying at this guest house. Located in a quiet area yet walking distance to bourbon street, Frenchman street, and french quarter. The service was exceptional and they were very helpful and accommodating for any of my needs. I would stay here again and would reccomend my friends and family to also stay here. If you are looking for a modern hotel with granite counter than this is not the place for you. This has traditional New Orleans architecture and cozy home feel.

The New Orleans Guest House is a great place to stay for the price. We switched to this location after spending several nights in another hotel to save some money. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for both our nights there. We only had 2 concerns with our stay. First, the locals in N.O. say themselves that the city is not always safe. This hotel is off the beaten path a little bit, which may make some guests a little uncomfortable walking home at night. That being said, at no point did we feel uneasy with our walk home, but certainly be aware of your surroundings if you venture out after dark. The second thing was the state of the hotel. I personally enjoyed the "unique charm" of the hotel and our room, but my companion was less impressed, so fair warning. All in all, for the 1/2 or 1/3 of the price to stay right in the French Quarter, we could live with it.

the Bed and Breakfast was very easy to spot being bright pink in color. It has a lot of New Orleans charm so do not expect a luxury hotel. The rooms are small but full of beautiful knick knacks that makes you feel like you are visiting a friend. The owners are always present and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in their beautiful courtyard and consisted of a buttery hot croissant and fresh fruit and juice along with delicious coffee. I would stay there again anytime. The hotel is across the street from the French Quarter so it is very easy to walk there since parking is very difficult in the quarter.

I hope I have the chance to stay here again one day. Beautiful court yard! My wife loved it! Thanks to you and your staff for a wonderful visit.

OK, if you’re looking for a modern “chain” to stay at with all the amenities, this will not be it. The house was build over 150 years ago! About half of the rooms are in the old slave quarters. However, if you want to be in the center of all going-ons while enjoying quiet evenings w. classical music playing in the background, and world famous southern hospitality of Alvin, the proprietor, and his small staff, this is the place for you!

I was very pleased with this bed and breakfast. The location is just outside the quarter, which makes for an easy walk, but quieter stay. The service is excellent and the staff warm and friendly. On site parking is tight, but a major advantage. Building is old, but well kept, and the rooms humble. Hotel and courtyard are decorated in a diverse and eccentric style that is decidedly New Orleans. I would reccommend this location to friends.

Though a long walk on the far side of the 1/4, the staff made it worth the effort and walking is good for Me.

You should know before you go that the New Orleans Guest House was built in 1848. So if you are expecting a Marriott, it's not that. If you are expecting a quaint, and clean bed and breakfast style hotel, then this is a very nice place. It has so much character, and southern charm, and the people who manage it are as friendly as any people you will ever meet. They gave us some excellent suggestions about places to eat and go to for great music, and were always more than helpful. The breakfast was small, but very nice. If you want a taste of the real old french quarter, then this is a good place to visit.

I highly recommend this B&B. The staff was great and it has a very cool and comfy vibe. Great location to the French Quarter and you really cannot beat the price compared to the rest of the options around the Quarter. My only negative comment is the breakfast offered was pretty minimal but honestly, I chose to walk a few blocks most mornings and dine at Cafe Du Monde for beignets and cafe au lait. With all the amazing food offered in New Orleans, maybe it's not a bad thing the breakfast was small. I'd definitly go back...and plan to!

The location of the Guest House and the staff was wonderful. They need to clean out the rooms and dispose of the carpet and put in hard wood or vinyl floors. New Orleans is to wet and humid for carpet. The rooms have a lot of mold. Once they clean that up it would be a perfect place to stay while hanging in the Big Easy.

This is a lovely little B&B just outside the French Quarter with a lot of character. Everything we wanted to get to was within walking distance and the price was extremely reasonable compared to other chain hotels / B&Bs in the area. My only warning though: don't leave anything remotely valuable out, as you may find it mysteriously missing from your room! During our stay, I asked if the housekeeper had moved my eye glasses when cleaning the room because they were nowhere to be found. After some back and forth between the housekeeper and the owner, he told us that the housekeeper hadn't touched them and I must have misplaced them. 10 minutes later, the owner came back with the glasses, saying they had been sitting on the front desk! Hmmm...

Walk to the French Quarter from a funky, quiet, 200-yr-old PINK house. Awesome service, croissants, fresh fruit & great coffee for brekkie. They will make you coffee or tea anytime 24/7 to enjoy in the gorgeous courtyard with koi pond. A few steps away, get a city bus for $1.25 (!) to City Park, which houses NO Museum of Art & many more attractions.

Mostly nice, but stay was on football weekend and TV the pits. Breakfast was good-coffee excellent. Not too far to walk to superdome, downtown, french quarter, and shopping. Quick access to I-10.

I couldn't have been happier with our stay here. My fiancé and I stayed in room 5, which was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We also had our own bathroom. The owner was welcoming and very helpful. We were served a breakfast of fresh sliced fruit, a warm croissant, coffee and juice each morning. There was even a separate breakfast room and courtyard where we could eat. The location was also great. Just a short walk from Bourbon street, and if you enjoy walking like we do, it's also very easy to get to Canal Street and the French Market.

This was very close to everything. Walking distance to Bourbon Street, French Market, Cafe Du Monde, etc. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. They were so nice and breakfast was great. My bf woke up late (after breakfast was served) and they went and made him a plate anyways. I will DEFINITELY stay here again.

Everything was great except traffic noise at night, and the time of breakfast. It was from 9 - 11 and we are early risers. They did make coffee for us as soon as we got up and the 2nd day we were given our breakfast of fruit and croissant earlier than 9.

The hotel was shabby in manly respects but the location and the helpfulness of the owner was good. The artwork in the hotel was interesting and added to the ambiance.

Awesome! Very clean, great service,close to French Quarter! Most all the buildings in French Quarter are older, this included, this place is drenched in charactor! From the attention demanding pink, to the art in the rooms that screams for you to exchange monements, it is provides its guests with the spirit of New Orleans. They have great handy walking maps, know all the great attractions, and are ready and willing to share their inside knowledge with you. You are treated like family from the moment you walk in, I actually have no desire to return to New Orleans itself, but some strange attraction to this eclectic destination calls to me. I would love to visit this hotel again and again, I alreeady feel like we are old friends.

Location is next to the French Quarter in the Treme district. The hosts were very nice and helpful, recommending restaurants and things to do. Free off-street parking was a definite plus. For breakfast, we were served fresh fruit, croissant, juice and coffee in a lovely courtyard. Overall a good value, and the friendly owners make this B&B a winner.

We had a wonderful stay at New Orleans Guest House. The place has a lot of character. Innkeepers are friendly and helpful, available 24 hours a day, and great company over breakfast. They offered us many suggestions for dining and entertainment and were genuinely interested in our experience. Rooms and open areas are very clean. The location is perfect. It is right across the street from the French Quarter giving the convenience of an easy walk to all the great French Quarter spots with the added benefit of being more peaceful when you are ready to rest. We will be back.

awesome food and location

Felt at home with Owners.... GREAT Hospitality!

The hotel is a cute little off the beaten path place. The owners are there every night and day themselves. We had a great time and they were so sweet! There are not a lot of frills but it makes up for it in character and charm!

It was charming, clean pink bed & breakfast, with friendly and helpfull staff. Great breakfast, and location, bed was a little small for two people and wish that it will offer wi-fi connection

We booked deluxe room to celebrate Valentine Day in New Orleans 1.5 month before coming. Cheeking-in got a dusty small room with cracked walls out of house in a garden aria. The hotel employee replied we should call before to get a nice room. It took time our request was satisfied. We got a clean, good decorated room. Location- more then five blocks from FQl, not comfy to go back tonight. Enjoyable breakfast, but nothing special.

We had an excellent experience here. The ownership was friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. We were close to the French Quarter and other attractions without being in the thick of things. The b&b was quiet, but in easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do.

This was our first stay in a bed and breakfast. We were very satisfied. Our hosts were very friendly and helped us with dining plans in the French Quarter. Had a great time.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip to NOLA. We had never stayed in a B&B before but the price per night was MUCH cheaper than other hotels in the area and parking was free. We loved that every room and a private bathroom with shower. The rooms could use some updated carpet and drapes, but everything was clean and tidy. One of the owners met us with a charming southern demeanor and was very helpful with directions and food/entertainment recommendations. Breakfast was the perfect start to each day with a warm croissant and fresh fruit prepared personally each morning. I would recommend this quaint romantic location to anyone! The only drawback is that it is about 7 blocks fromt he main action on the french quarter, but extensive walking is expected when staying in or near there. We would most definitely stay here again when visiting on our next trip to NOLA.

Off-street parking so you don't have to drive around to find a spot, friendly service at all hours of the day and night, private bathrooms, only 1 block north of the French Quarter so within walking distance of activities and public transportation and very easy to get to and from I-10.There's heating and AC in the room too. Walls are thin so bring earplugs if you're a lite sleeper, to avoid late night returning guests and shift changes.

The New Orleans Guest House is a great small hotel in the Treme neighborhood close to the French Quarter. While it is an older building, it is charming, clean, and a nice place to stay. We had a room with a balcony and it was nice to sit out there in the evening. The owner, Alvin, is very friendly and and give good recommendations for restuarants and attractions in the area. He provides a nice continental breakfast in the moring in the courtyard. We will definitely stay here again.

This quaint old house is a delight. Walk to the french quarter. Furnished with antiques and comfy beds. The owners and staff were amazing - friendly and accomodating - they even went out to get crawfish for us when we expressed a wish for some.I definitly will stay there again.

This place rocks! The B&B is delightful and I cannot begin to describe the garden/courtyard where we had a delicious breakfast each morning. You will think you are in Paris. The gentlemen who run this establishment could not have been more helpful and charming. The location is great. You are in the French Quarter and a short stroll takes you to the heart. The peace, the beauty and the charm of this place cannot be overstated. I hope to return many times.

Super adorable. Crazy comfortable. Very clean. And literally only a couple blocks from the French Quarter. We loved this place! Plus, free parking and breakfast every morning! Love, love, love!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the New Orleans Guest House B & B. Our host was very welcoming, and gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities that we definitely took advantage of. We stayed in room 5, which has a balcony overlooking the street. The room was clean and comfortable and the balcony made it feel larger than it was. We especially enjoyed the breakfast in the courtyard. The courtyard is very charming, and there is so much to see out there that you don't know where to look first! Next time we are in New Orleans, we will stay here, hopefully in the same room!

You can't miss it- the bubble gum pink house on Ursulines. We were charmed by the hosts and the comfy courtyard where my husband and I sipped a bottle of wine and relaxed amid tropical flora. We were in walking distance of anything we needed to visit or see. We crammed alot in two days time, and being one block into the Treme, we were able to explore it as well. We will stay there again!

The hosts at this hotel were kind, helpful and thoughtful, especially Ray. The room we were assigned was noisy with no privacy whatsoever(room#1). I did not sleep at all because this room was next to the hotel lobby and the only way to enter the hotel was to ring a door bell. I heard every conversation. The hotel itself was about a ten minute walk to Bourbon Street.

Close to the Quarter. Loved the garden. The owners are great. Stanley and Stella, too.

We have stayed in some fancy, high end hotels before. Why they offer more "creature" comforts, this is hands down the cleaniest room we have ever stayed in. The sheets smelled cleaned, the room smelled fresh - it was spotless! The owner is fantastic - so hands on and a wonderful man. The breakfast is great, the place is charming and you won't find a better value in New Orelans! Cant wait to go back!

For the price was nice and comfortable. Within easy walking distance of most area attractions. Of course the building is older and if appearance means a lot to you then this is not for you.. But if you don't mind minor things and a small tv (which if you're there as a tourist you shouldn't be in the room much) then this is a nice place to help lower the cost of your vacation stay!

My husband and I enjoyed staying at this unique hotel. It was close to borboun street and great local attraction. The staff was very courteous. We would definitely come back and stay here again.
