Good location standard was relevant to price

I was very disappointed with the size and condition of the room. What was pictured in your website was nothing even near to the standard and look of the actual room. I have stayed in number of Hotels in Xian but this experience is my worst. With the same budget, I could have gotten a better deal in other hotels in Xian. The room was very small for Xian standard and as compared to other hotels in the same range in Xian. In summary, a total disappointment with hotel.com and Skytel. I'm a professional corporate trainer and will site this experience as a service lapse on the part of hotel.com and skytel. Hotel.com should have verified whether what you picture in your website is close to the actual room.

The location is perfect, very convenient to everything. The hotel itself is average...it is clean and comfortable but don't expect any frills.

Enjoyed our one day stay in this pleasant hotel in a convenient location in Xian. Staff very helpful.

We stayed only one night. We arrived at the hotel before noon and they let us check in anyways. We just had to wait a few minutes for the room to be cleaned. Great location, The west wall is only about a 2 minutes walk. The Drum Tower and Bell Tower was only about a 10-15 minute walk. For the price we paid the hotel room was large, clean and very airy. A very welcomed space after taking the overnight train. Free WiFi in the lobby.

very well located, asround the corner from airport bus drop off. Very difficult to find it as the name sign not very big and also local people did not know it as the name was in English?! Bedside device to control lighting was very difficult to function and some of the main lights were not working, so the lighting was too bright when you did not needed it so. Excellent shower. Crappy TV channel option, many channels, majority Chinese (and I can speak 3 languages!!), only 1 English. Staff were courteous but it seemed only one spoke fluent English so you had the catch him!

The staff was very nice and sincere although only a few of the m spoke English (which was ok). The restaurant and cafe in the hotel were very nice and convenient. You can find places like Dunkin' Donuts and brand name boutiques as well as traditional Chinese places. There are bus stops right outside the gate, if you feel like exploring the city. Since it is in the city center, some people may not like the noise at night, but I personally didn't mind it. I thought of staying at the Bell Tower Hotel, which was recommended to me before, but Skytel is definitely a good alternative with a lower price.

The hotel's location is great, just a few steps away from the old city wall, which is a major attraction of the city. the hotel is also within walking distance to the drum tower and food street, where you can find local delights, and lots of touristy gifts. go early in the morning and turn into the side street from the main stretch of the tourist spot, and you will see how locals go with their days... shops and stalls selling everyday supply. This is where you feel the city's pulse. As for the hotel itself, the staff at front desk is friendly, rooms are fine for a short stay at the price they are offering. there are many local restaurants around the hotel. Be prepared for the traffic at the airport exit, which is expending. very messy and it will be like that for a while.

This actually is a four star hotel. Great location just south of the Drum tower. Area is easily walkable and great for shopping, restaurants and nightlife. I stayed in the boutique room which was very small but more than enough for one person traveling alone. Coffee shop downstairs with free wifi. As usual in China, the bed was hard and the shower left a little water on the floor but other than that the stay was great.

The room was convienietly located near the Bell Tower in central Xian. The staff was very helpful or at least they tried to be since their English was almost non-existing. The beds where hard but quite comfortable anyway. The biggest issue was that the room smelled smoke.

This place was being renovated while we were staying there but it was never noisy or messy while we needed to rest. The level of English of most staff was acceptable, and everything was well taken care of. The only thing I would suggest is don't bother with the breakfast - when we finally got the girl at the counter to understand that we hadn't pre-ordered breakfast and needed to pay for it on the spot, the breakfast was disappointing. Much better to head down a side-street for some "Chinese hamburgers". But the best thing was the location - five minutes from the Bell Tower is the closest to central you'll want to be, and South Street is a great place to be. The rooms (we had some of the newly-renovated rooms) were plush and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed them.

Excellent location, bit of street noise, helpful reception staff, bathroom a bit old, good workspace, internet, warm fridge, air conditioning didn't work.

This was a very nice hotel. It was a little difficult to find from the Train Station, but if you take a 611 bus from the train station it is right there. The staff was very helpful and spoke very good English

Skytel is located at the south side of the city and next to the South Gate. In walking distance to the South Gate, the Drum and the Bell Tower, the Muslim community, and shopping center. The staff were excellent and spoke English well. Everything was wonderful and we'll definitely stay here again.

Skytel was very nice. The staff spoke some English and was extremely helpful! They found a private guide for us to the terra-cotta warriors. What other reviewers said is correct. The rooms are small with hard beds but otherwise OK. The breakfast was very good. Location is a little hard to find but right in the middle of everything.

Overall satisfied with the hotel. The only complaint that I had with the hotel is that they failed to pass on a message from my tour operater the time of of my tour to the Terracotta Warriors.

Was extremely happy with location, meant at night we could get out and walk around the key inner city walls sites and enjoy the atmosphere of the city. Hotel room was clean, tidy and comfortable for the 3 day stay.

This Hotel is well situated inside the City wall, close to most sites. The City Wall is just a short stroll away and the Bell Tower also a short distance. The Muslim Quarter is nearby where you can get some good market bargains. And not too far away is the Drum Tower all these sites within 10 min walk. The beds are a bit hard but that's not uncommon in China. Our encounter with the staff was polite and helpful.

It's in the middle of everything.... a lot of shopping and restaurants around. There's a bus from/to airport only 2 blocks away.

The bus from the airport drops you off at the Melody Hotel which is about a 10 minute walk from the City Lion. Walk towards bell tower and turn right. It's before the the Gate on the left. I seem to remember that this hotel has undergone some name changes but it's just before the Louis Vuitton shop. We had to ask and we were right on top of it. The hotel was good, and the bellboy spoke English better than the reception staff. The room was really nice with fridge and air con, lovely bathroom. You could eat there for extra but we went out. Did not like the goldfish in the tiny vase used as table decoration in Reception!

Okay hotel med super placering tæt på alle de gode turistattraktioner, og god service ved receptionen. Til den meget overkommelige pris var det et godt hotel.

鼓楼、回族の商店街、湘子門などへ歩いて行けて、場所はとても便利です。部屋はハイテクですが、見た目に質が伴っているかは（最近の中国のホテルにありがちなように）微妙なところです。でも、過分な期待をしなければ十分満足できます。繁華街なので夜はやや音がしますが、我慢出来ない程ではなかったです。

Muy buena localización. También tiene un buen y barato restaurante y muchos otros servicios a buenos precios.

Un lieu agréable où se reposer entre deux escapades dans Xi'an et ses alentours. Accueil chaleureux, personnel à l'écoute et professionnel... L'hôtel est parfaitement situé, en plein coeur de la ville fortifiée, à deux pas des remparts.

The hotel has a great location within the old city walls of Xi'an. All attractions in the center of the city is within walking distance. It is even possible to walk to the trainstation, but it takes about 45 minutes. We had high expections the the hotel in advance as it was the only 4 star hotel on our trip to China (the other hotels had 2-2,5 stars). Unfortunately the hotel is no longer worthy of 4 stars - 2 stars would be more correct. Good: The breakfast buffet is good. Good English level. Could be better: The hotel is old and is in need of a face lift! Bad: The aircondition didn't really work, In the beginning they couldn't find our prepayed reservation (the problem was solved later, but we didn't need the stress). If considering the hotel note that it is more like a 2 star (not a 4 star) hotel. The fact that the aircondition in our room didn't really work makes it impossible for me to recommend the hotel. Both my 5 month pregnant girlfriend and I woke up every night because of the heat (at least 25 degrees c.). All in all an mid-level 2 star hotel, but you can't do without airconditioning i Xi'an during the summer!
