America's Best Inn - Fort Lauderdale Airport - فورت لوديردال

I don't know why other people gave this place bad reviews. Sure it's a cheap hotel in a not-so-hot neighborhood, but for the money you pay you get great value. My wife & I got stuck overnight in Fort Lauderdale due to a storm cancelled flight, and this was the first hotel recommended. The staff was friendly, knowlegable, and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, and there was even a little side room off the main bedroom with bunkbeds for children. The cable TV and WiFi were first rate. Now, there was some blistering paint in the bathroom, but nothing really bad, and it was small. By cab it's less than 10 minutes from the airport. Almost walkable, if you don't have too much baggage.

The negative reviews here are not fair. It's located in an industrial area, but it is completely safe. The staff were some of the most professional I've ever seen and I've stayed all over. I would not hesitate to come back here again for the money it's absolutely perfect. The building looks like it does because it is considered an historical building, and the owners take that very serious. Amenities are top notch, in a cab ride to the beach is about $10. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

The staff was super nice but the room was small and the bathroom was horrific. Could really use an update. There was also a HUGE bug in the bathroom that I saw and eventually flushed down the toilet after a lengthy battle. After that I couldn't really sleep the rent of the night.

The worst place i ever stayed... Nasty Small don't waste your money or time.

Felt very uncomfortable in the neighborhood. The desk gentleman was very nice but our room was not. The bed was like sleeping on a teeter totter. The bathtub was in need of replacement. The room was very dreary. Would not stay there again.

Staying here was like going back to 1950's with the room not updated since then. Surrounding neighborhood is dismal. Local chains are about same price and much better. We only ended up here because of last minute plans during a busy season. Only advantage: close to FLL airport.

The hotel was built in 1920-30 and hasn't had much of anything done to it since. Driving down the street I would never stop at this hotel. The bath wasn't more than a converted closet. Holes in the wall. And grossly over priced for what it is. I have stayed in nicer places for $30.00 a night rather than the $100-$150 per night I was charged for two night. Because of condition and location I felt insecure causing me to tie the door shut with parachute cord.

Loved it! Near the airport and had every cable channel there is.

Convenient for coming over from the other coast in attending class around the corner down the street early the next day. Good meal at Lester's restaurant close by also.

I got in late on a business trip. At first it seemed that the surrounding neighborhood was a little undesirable; its on the outskirts of the airport and there is a few rental car agencies and a small apt complex. But by the next day I realized the neighborhood was perfectly safe. It was also just a short drive to all the local businesses you may need to visit on 17th st. So that was incredibly convenient. The room was nothing fancy. It did have everything I needed; desk, ironing board, coffee maker, and mini fridge. The bed was fairly comfortable. The one qualm I had was that when I arrived late at night the blinds did not work and could not be closed. I just put a blanket over the window because I was too tired to complain and wait to have it fixed. I did tell them upon check out so it should be fixed. The place was not fancy but for the price if I have to go back to Ft Lauderdale and don't have a ton of money to spend on a fancy hotel, I would probably go back.

I was afraid to step in the shower - yuck!

I had to stay in the hotel due to miss flight.

The hotel night mgr. was a wonderful person who gave me excellent directions when I called because I was lost. He also had some wine out (chardonnay & merlot) for me because he wanted to offer me something after having been lost and caught in some traffic. He also gave me some yogurt containers because I commented on the fact that I didn't stop for dinner and also an apple. Re the room: the bed and linens were clean. However, the small bathroom left a lot to be desired. I needed to take a shower and the shower stall had some hair on the walls that were defintely not my hair, including hair that appeared to be from the reproductive areas of a body. I would have never gone to that hotel if there had been vacancies in the hotel chains I normally stay in. The night mgr. did say that the owners were going to demolish the existing hotel structure and build an 8 story microtel. Regardless, I don't think I will be staying at an Americas Best Inn hotel anywhere ever again.

Very old and rundown "motel". Very small room; dirty and musty smelling . Found mold growing in the clothes closet. Did not at all fit the description in the hotels.com website.

We were very unsatisfied with lack of cleanliness. No wash towels or soap were provided. The shower curtain and shower were moldy. Extension cords were everywhere for mini fridge and lamps. Bed was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Cheap. Clean. Friendly. Met my needs for a place near the airport to lay my weary bones--- a. m. munchies fair. Warm, not hot water in morning. Having said all that, under same circumstances I would not hesitate to stay there again.

We were there for 3 days and it was all good though a little small.

Even though the motel did not have many units the rooms were adequate sized and very functional. The unit that we stayed in suffered from some neglected maintenance in the bathroom and tub area.

Inexpensive, but not "cheap" in that it is of decent quality. It is small and basic, but the room was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The only problem was that the wifi was spotty and my husband sometimes had to sit outside to get good signal. Overall, a good choice for someone wanting to see the sights!

Tiny upstart motel very convenient to longterm parking and the airport. Very pleasant management. Room was clean and neat. However the tub needed to be reglazed. Hard to find because of small size (13 rooms) and poor signage. Lousy area. Good for a one nighter.

very close to pier, very friendly staff, it was perfect for what I needed which was just an overnight before cruise.

Horrible place.

Great price value!

This was not what we expected for am Americas Best Value-it's an old motel in an industrial area-tho close to the airport (if you don't get lost like we did). They have tried to update it, but sould stand more work. The manager was very hospitatible and helpfull-we were late for happy hour & he coridally poured us a glass of wine.

Not at all luxury, but for that cheap a rate, what else do you expect. Room was fine, shower was disgusting. I was only there for one night (six hours to be exact) so just did not take a shower and was fine. Would not stay here for any more than 1 night, but perfect for a cheap night 5 min from the airport

I stayed here with my wife and two children as an overnight before leaving on a Cruise. The room was just what we needed; clean, comfortable, quiet and just perfect (including wifi). Everyone at the hotel was absolutely friendly, helpful and when we needed extra help with luggage issues and taxis, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was a success. This is certainly not the biggest hotel in the area, but the quality of the staff was better than most hotels I have ever stayed at.

I had a last minute need/desire to stay in FLL for one more night. Knowing it's spring break ,Easter Weekend not to mention I'm unemployed so finding something I could afford was challenging. I read the reviews for the hotel and thought to myself that they must have employees write positive reviews for them. Regarless they had availability and it was only one night so I would survive. I pulled up and cringed when I saw the place. I was greeted by the most awesome rep who was friendly, energetic, gave me directions etc. I went to my room and was delighted by the cleanliness and comfort of a newly updated room. The hotel was built in the 30's so there is only so much one can do as far as structure but honestly they have done everything and some to make this little place a home away from home. I'm trying to move to the area and got to know the Employees... I will refer there business to all I can and hopefully get to meet up with the wonderful people if and when I return to the area. Keep them in mind when looking for convenience, affordability and service. I don't think you'll be disappointed. P.S. They have a little happy hour and free breakfast....you'll laugh when you see how they make do it but cold beers at night and breakfast on the run.. it works thhe same as the fancy places you'd see!

This is a great hotel to stay at in Lauderdale. This hotel is truly a rare find. The owners have gone to great lengths to individually decorate each room and it's clear that they care about their business. i also enjoy the complementary glass of wine when i check in :)

Some of the bathroom fixtures were rusted. The curtains and shades did a poor job of keeping out the courtyard light; but the brightness of the courtyard enhanced the feeling of safety. Also, the hotel is a short block away from the Broward County Bus Line that runs right into the Fort Lauderdale Airport. That way, I saved some money on cabs.

Aside from being close to FLL and having friendly front desk clerks, this hotel has absolutely NO redeeming qualities: - scary looking neighborhood - disgusting washroom with rusted bathtub and running water that couldn't be shut off - cigarette burn holes in the sheets - blinds that let in tons of light If this is truly "Americas Best Inn", then I would hate to see the rest of them ...

I'm a business owner and I travel a LOT. I had an early flight out of lauderdale and this was the best priced place around. I was expecting a normal experience (ie. mildly disappointing)... instead i found myself in an adorable, recently-renovated, American-owned motel that had unique decor touches that i haven't seen in a place like this in ages. It was absolutely evident that the owner CARED and TOOK PRIDE in their business. Not fancy, but very clean.The beds were super comfy. The owners are the nicest people. I will definitely stay here again when i'm in Fort Lauderdale. A+++

We booked this hotel for the night prior to leaving on a cruise and were very pleased. Although the hotel is older, it is quaint and met our needs for a one night stay. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Happy Hour meant that we could meet some fellow travelers and adequate continental breakfast is also included. Neighbourhood is mainly commercial/industrial but we felt safe. Several options for eating close by. A short drive from the airport and to the ship terminals and shuttle (nominal cost) stopped by for pick-up to cruise terminal. Would definitely recommend and will stay here for future Port Everglades cruise departures.

We found to be a good motel for us close for Cruise ships and has a deal for car parking . Like a family atmosthere

Oftentimes the best things will come in small packages. This unassuming motel next to the port/airport was just such a jewel to discover. The room was large enough and the ownwer/manager could not have been more accomodating. Highly enjoyed!!!

I stayed there very recently. This is not a Hotel; It's a really old Motel. Even the Red MOTEL Sign is broken. I got in APPORX. at 12:00 A.M. and the credit card was charged already so I didn't have to many choices at that time. The springs on the bed of the room I was assigned were in bad shape. I even found a dead bug on top of the binder that have the "hotel" information in it. The A/C was making a noise through the night. I really had a bad experience during the stay.

For $$ /night, very small, cramped room. Not sure how any one over 200lb would ever fit in the bathroom. Was not there much, but it was close to the airport for the late arrival, and the cold beer was great for the forever flying day to be over. Would love to compare cost and amenities of other places close by.

I.booked this room for my mom who was returning from a cruise. Online the room looked nice when she arrive different story. This place is conviently near airport but has proven cheaper isn't always better I wish their was way I could get my money back. Called hotel to complain no one return my call.

Drove by twice wondering if I was even on the right road before realizing I'd been passing the motel. The manager was very nice; yet, this property has seen better days. Now very tired and run down.

Small place, eleven rooms, but top quality hospitality. These folks actually sponsor a daily happy hour from 5-7PM. Unheard of! It was a highlight of my trip. I'd stay there again definitely.

6th time me and wife stayed their. 5 minutes to the airport(ft lauderdale-hollywood intl airport) owner and staff real accommondating and friendly. they have happy hour for the guest at 4pm. you must stay there and most important very good rates for the area. Tom and Diane
