Really enjoyed our stay.

Arrived on early flight and tried to check in early at 9.00am (thought we had agreed 11.00am check in, but they had no record of it). Said they couldn't get a room ready at first, but as we were bringing our luggage in for storage until the official 3.00pm check in time, they managed to find us a newly cleaned apartment for immediate occupation. So top marks to them for quality of service. This part of Edinburgh has a local 24hr Asda store nearby, which was very useful.

A really really good set up with a gret location. Flat was brilliant and nice and clean. Really good and cant recommend highly enough. Much better having a living room and kitchen rather than sitting on the edge of a hotel bed all day! Only thing not so impressive is the old tube TVs, get some flat screen TVs guys!

Positives: This is the first time we stayed in serviced apartments instead of a hotel, and to my suprise, we found this concept much better than staying in a hotel. Our apartment was neatly done when we entered and we were pleased with the room size and layout. 24 hour ASDA is just 10 minute walk away which is quite handy and the bus stop with services every 10 minutes to the city centre is just a 2 minute walk. Negatives: The only thing I can think of is the connection of wireless internet. There were no signals in our flat and on another note Ocean Apartments should provide a provision of fans especially during the very warm nights.

Convenient for Edinbrugh if you do not mind using the bus service which is very good.The apartments arebecoming a bit run down and some proper maintenance would work wonders instead of using amateurs who do not know one end of a paintbrush from the other.Saying that the apartment was very roomy and more comfortable than a normal hotel roomand also it gives you the opportunity of preparing you own meals as I find that constantly eating out is not good for the waist line.I would use them again.

This place is great value for money. Modern, clean and a well-equiped kitchen. Only drawback is the distance from the centre of town - at least a 25-30 minute bus ride on the No. 10 to Princes.

Apartments were spacious with a great view of the Firth of Forth. Great to have a washer/dryer in the apartment. The only down side is it's in a construction zone and also pretty far from the tourist area (Royal Mile), so had to take buses or taxis; both of which were plentiful. The rates were lower due to location - especially as we were there during the very crowded annual Edinburgh International Festival.

On cheking-in, we were made most welcome by the staff. We chose Ocean Apartments because of the mostly excellent reviews that we read on Hotels.com. However, we were disappointed with our apartment. We could have coped with the filthy black footmarks all over the lobby floor within the apartment, but it was actually in the living/kitchen area and again in the main bedroom. On the whole, this apartment was pretty grotty and not cleaned properly for the purpose of new guests. The reception staff were very nice and offered to move us to another apartment, but given the fact that we were out to a concert and would be back late and away early the next morning, there wasn't much point. The views were lovely - our apartment looked right on to the Royal Yacht and seeing Leith lit up at night was something else.

I have to say how impressed I was with the service, set-up and comfort of my apartment. Excellent...will be looking forward to staying again the next time I am in Edinburgh

As above but with the addition that when I went to check out at half 9 (its a 10am check out!) there was no one there. I checked the times of reception and it was 8am to 8pm. I looked for sunday opeing and found it was the same. I called the emergency number again and no answer once more (!) Then just as I had found somewhere to leave my keys and assumed I would nerver see the copy of my passport or credit card again a man pull up in his car saying sorry he was late (by an hour and a half when he was the only guy working that morning). A group of us had to queue up to check out and lucky for me i found the number of a cab to get us to the airport on time. The room itself was great but like others have said do not like the idea of having towel and toliet roll limited when I am paying lots of money each night. As a suggestion I would also like them to put a clock in the living room as there were none anywhere. Also an alarm clock would be nice even though most people use their phones now I guess. One last problem the curtin rail broken in the bedroom through no fault of mine and I would have liked to have told the guy this on reception if they were a) open and b) on time for check out. I hope they do not plan on charging me for this! In summey I would say this was a great hotel and with a few tweeks could be made even better but they need better managment and to have reception open all night or at least have better plans in place. The hotel is also a fair distance from town but there is a good bus (number 10) which takes about 30 minutes to get into town. A cab will set you back £7 (bus is £1.20 each) and to get from the airport it is about £23.

The accommodation faces the sea with a fabulous view across Leith and Edinburgh. Excellent facilities which are clean, tidy and well kept. Access to internet by Wi Fi Great parking facility in basement Friendly and very helpful staff on reception. Perfect location for a return visit to Edinburgh.

We found these apartments to be far better than anticipated. Clean, comfortable, friendly.

A good stay with a very wecoming and efficient staff, always on hand to be of assistance. The bus ride to the centre of Edinburgh was a perfect way to see Leith. Views from our apartment were great, Edinburgh Castle (with a firework display one night) was a terrifice site. Beautifully quiet. One tiny criticism - it would have been good to have a loo brush in the bathroom. Would certainly go back again.

We arrived late and therefore the reception was closed. No one bothered to call and tell us how to get into our room. We finally were able to reach someone who told us how to get the keys... We got into the room and the door frame was broken, there were holes in the wall, the carpet was coming out in places, the throw pillows on the sofa were dirty (as if someone spilled something on it), the windows/doors were locked and we couldn't get any fresh air into the room, which was much needed because there wasn't any AC. They only give you two rolls of toilet paper and then after that you have to pay. They give you four large towels on one hand towel to use the whole time and if you want more or want a clean one, you have to pay! The location is nice if you want to only stay at the apartment. Otherwise it's a 30 minute public bus ride to town or a 10 minute drive...the buses only run every 30 minutes and then do not run regularly after 11pm and therefore you end up taking a cab. Overall, we were dissatisfied.

The apartments were very nice i really enjoyed myself the only problem is that the room was abit hot but apart from that it was great

The appartment was spacious and clean and the views were great. It represented good value for money and I would stay here again.

This hotel was my favourite Holiday place ever: Afforable for the familys, Internet access, self catering facilities, TV and DVD Player, waching machine, super clean and ... silence and sea! what a beutiful days we had there. Dislike Points: The only negative point I notice is that the hotel is actually in suburb, far from City centre: You should take bus, runs every 15 mins. There is just one bus route, Line 10, goes towards the centre, 5-10 min walking from Castle view. So if you don't have your own vehicle, plan your every day trip to city centre in advance.

Hemos estado en Agosto 2010 dos familias con niños . Los apartamentos, son amplios, comodos, bien equipados, tienen de todo, tienen cerca algunos restaurantes y un supermercado abierto 24 horas, la parada de autobus está al lado a 15 minutos del centro y a 25 del aeropuerto en taxi. Estupendos. Hay un atarceder de la bahia desde el faro espectacular.

Hotellet ligger fantastisk lige ud til havnen i nybyggerområde. Ikke specielt smukt men med fantastisk udsigt. Dejligt efter en dag i byen, at kunne komme "hjem" til ro og frisk luft. Bus 10 kører næsten lige til døren. Beregn ca 35 min i myldretid. Stort supermarked 2 stoppesteder inden endestationen. Selve hotellet er noget nedslidt - hul i sofa, mangler maling m.m. men ikke i alarmerende dårlig tilstand. Køkkenet har kun udstyr til 4 personer, så der er gang i opvaskemaskinen. Uheldigt, ikke at kunne få at vide hvornår, der kom rengøring + skift af håndklæder. I følge opslag i lejligheden ville man f.eks.ikke få skiftet håndklæder eller andet. Det fik vi dog midt på ugen, og der blev også gjort rent 1 gang.

Uudehko, tosin hieman "nopeasti kulutettu" hotelli Edinburghin satama-alueella. Kaikki alueen talot ovat uudehkoja ja alue on hyvin rauhallinen. Bussiyhteys (numero 10) kulkee kiitettävän tiheästi E:n keskustaan, joten kulkeminen lastenkin kanssa käy kätevästi. Huoneistoissa on hyvät keittomahdollisuudet, mutta kokolattiamattojen siisteys oli hieman arveluttava... Olimme kuitenkin oihan tyytyväisiä nelihenkisen perheen tarpeiden täyttymiseen.

Vi är mycket nöjda med hotellet. Personalen var mycket trevlig och rummen rena. Vi fick dessutom en större lägenhet än vi bokat. Jättefräscha lägenheter, gratis wifi, nära till buss och supermarket. Vi hade utsikt över western harbour.

A great place to stay. However, the strict non-smoking policy should have been explained or stated clearly or taken into consideration when asked by prospective guests. The view from our apt was amazing and the bus station very conveniently located , just a few metres by the apts. I will certainly choose OCEAN APTS again when I go back to Scotland !

Huone jossa yövyimme, oli erittäin tilava ja mukava. Meri näköala kaikista ikkunoista oli iloinen plussa. Huoneet oli siistejä. Henkilöstö oli avuliasta ja auttavaa.

Los departamentos me parecieron lindisimos, muy comodos, y muy agradables, tienen un supermercado cerca de 24 horas asi q el hecho que tenga una cocina tan bien equipada fue muy loable. La unica contra es que esta un poco alejado del centro pero enfrente viene un un bus cada 10 minutos, nada grave.

We were as a group of 13 people and really enjoyed staying here. Do not think it is far a way from the city central, it's just a 10 min bus ride and the last stop is just 100 meters from the hotel. Plus, there is a 24-hour-open supermarket that you can find everything you wish just very near the hotel. Everything was wonderful there, and I will definitely stay there again if I visit Edinburgh for the second time.

We hadden een goed verblijf hier met onze twee tieners. Maar je zit wel ver van 't centrum, in een nieuw ontwikkelingsgebied dat vrij kil is en industrieel aandoet. De service was goed, kleine dingetjes mankeerden aan 't appartement en dat wilde men met spoed rechtzetten: prima! Maar de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding? 't Is een soort Ikea modelwoning - maar niet voor een Ikea prijs... Nee, niet de beste keus!

Großes umfassend ausgestattetes Appartment in ausgezeichnetem baulichen Zustand. Ideal für Selbstversorger;24h geöffneter Supermarkt in Sichtweite. Bus Nr.10 vor der Haustür,Rückfahr bis Mitternach kein Problem.Fahrzeit bis downtown ca.20Min

Vi fik en fin lejlighed med udsigt til vandet, 2 værelser, 2 badeværelser, stue og åbent køkken. Standen er fin (dog enkelte små-fejl), og der kører bus til centrum lige i nærheden (200 m). receptionen havde kun åbent mellem 08 og 20, og ligger 100 meter ned af vejen for vores lejlighed. Hvis man vil have plads er dette et fint sted, men hvis man vil have daglig rengøring og døgnservice så skal du vælge et hotel. Værelset har tv, dvd, opvaskemaskine, microovn, komfur, køl og frys - og der ligger døgnåbent (og billigt) supermarked i nærheden, så der er rig mulighed for at lave egen mad m.m.

Mycket bra boende lite vid sidan om i hamnen, men med bussen till city (10 min resa) utanför dörren och garage under huset. Rymlig lägenhet med plats att umgås och allt man behöver i, städ/disk görs varje dag. Lugnt område, ganska nära till 24 h mataffär, restaurang, pub mm (men roligare ställen finns i stan;-).

Lyxiga lägenheter 15 minuter ifrån Eddingburgs centrum. Stora frascha lägenheter med storslagen utsikt.Diskmaskin, tvättmaskin finnes.Kanon för familjer eller ett golf gäng. Lämna bilen och ta bussen in till city. Vi kommer att åka tillbaka igen och spela golf den här gången.

This place was an apartment building made into a hotel, so it's kind of like a suite. Both times we stayed there we got a living room facing the ocean, so it made for spectacular breakfasts.

Ligger noget udenfor centrum. Men god busforbindelse. Perfekt til famlier. Godt forhold mellem pris og kvaliter

Meget komfortabel ferielejlighed med god plads og fin spartansk indretning. Fredelige omgivelser - ligger på en blind vej ved havet. Bedst med egen bil, da bussen ikke kører så tit. 2 badeværelser til 2 værelser :-)

Nærme butikk, kino, kjøpesenter, lekeområde, enkel og kort busstur inn til sentrum. Rolig og fredelig område.
