Great location, hotel is excellent. We arrived early and had to wait for hours until our room was ready for us, try to organize early check in if you have an early flight to KL. The room was fantastic with an amazing view of the Petronis building. The only complaint would be the pillows were uncomfortable but most hotels are the same. I would definitely stay here again..

Check-in was so unpleasant. Seemed unfriendly employee.

Two individual friends "insisted" that I should stay at Traders in Kuala Lumpur, and I am glad I did! Very nice hotel 4-5 min walk from KLCC and Petronas Towers, but still only 15 min walk to Changkat area and Chinatown for great food stalls and local food. Nice pool and Sky Bar on the 33rd floor with a great view of the twin towers. But the MYR 67 breakfast seems a bit expensive, and there are many decent places to eat breakfast at KLCC. Traders also have a free electric shuttle buggy service between the hotel and KLCC. I can also recommend spending MYR 280 on a "Freedom" full hour body massage at the hotel spa - very good indeed! I would gladly stay at Traders for my next visit to KL :-)

We stayed in March 2012. Lovey hotel, although could do with a little maintenance in some areas. We got a traders room with a view of the twin towers - HIGHLY recommend this as the view was fabulous - not to mention the inclusions: Breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour! Excellent value for money if you do go with the traders option. Staff are very professional and helpful. I would definitely be staying here if I ever happen to visit KL again.

My wife and I stayed at the Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for the last two nights of our recent Malaysian holiday and what a wonderful experience it was for us! It was just great that we reserved the best for last. Not that the three other hotels that we stayed in (in Ipoh, Penang and Malacca) prior to arriving at Kuala Lumpur were that bad but the staff at the Traders Hotel just won us over the moment we stepped off our taxi with their warm and friendly welcome. We were directed to the 32nd floor where we received the friendliest check-in process we have ever experienced. They also gave us a comprehensive explanation of the services that were available to us. We were given a beautiful room on the 27th floor facing the Petronas Towers. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with the friendly service being displayed at all times, whether it be at breakfast, afternoon tea or dinner (at the Gobo Upstairs Lounge). The well-trained and friendly staff made all the difference and we really look forward to coming back to the Traders Hotel when we next visit Kuala Lumpur and we certainly have no hesitation in recommending our friends to stay there. We enjoyed Traders for two nights which included access to Traders club. Would recommend as great buffet breakfast, cocktails and afternoon tea. Fantastic view from our window of Petronas towers. Recommend to shoppers too with good access to KLCC and pavilion etc. covered walkways and a shuttle runs across the park to KLCC if you are too tired to walk or have bought a lot.

I stayed three nights at this hotels in March 2012. Nice location, easy to reach also with LTR. Great views towards Petronas Towers. Nice and spacious rooms. The gym is also very good. On the minus side: the hotel does not have a proper lobby where you can sit down and chat over a drink. The Wifi in the rooms is of rather poor quality with too little band capacity.

We stayed in club room and are absolutely happy with our stay at TradersHotel.

A very good hotel at the prime location of the city.. Right opposit to KL Tower... They provide u the Battery Car to go to Suria Mall... Service very fast... For smokers a bit problem as u got to go to the ground floor or the 6th floor or the 33rd floor .. They dont have balcony in the room... Sky Longe bar a must visit at night on the 33rd floor as the view of the twin towers is awesome... Lift speed very fast.. From 33rd floor to Ground floor 40 sec...

I found the hotel a bit below standard for a 5-star. It is probably rated as such because the location is perfect for those attending conferences in the KL Conference Centre. The service was excellent but the physical building was not. We had towel handles break, door hardware fall off the door in the shower and no wash clothes. But, when reported, these deficiencies were fixed immediately. The room was comfortable and up to 3-star standards, not 5. It was clean. The gym was excellent and the pool adequated, but closed early at 7pm, making attending it a problem after a full-day's conference.

very nice hotel with great views of the petronas towers and kuala lumpur. within walking distance to KLCC and the towers and has a lovely park right outside

this is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location!! the rooms are lovely and KLCC is just there!! but the service is a little impersonal - but that is to be expected in such a big hotel. the rooms are big and comfortable. nothing to fault there. my biggest complaint about traders - and what unfortunately spoilt our stay - was the pool/bar area. the pool area is very nice - it is enclosed so it can be used regardless of the weather and the sunken booths along one side are great. the downside is that the pool closes at 7pm so the bar can use the area for the public. this was the problem. at about 4pm in the afternoon they started preparing for the evening by changing the cushions and reserving all the booths so that swimmers could no longer use them. it felt every day that we used the pool in the afternoon that we were being shuffled out so they could use the area for the general public and bar-goers instead of the guests who wanted to use the pool. we were really made to feel like as swimmers and hotel guest we were no longer welcome at the pool from about 4pm.... if the pool isn't important to you, then this is a great hotel. but for us, the pool is a big part of our stay in any place - particular in such humid climates - so this was a real let down.

A room with a view at Petronas Towers is so spectacular.

I stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. The staff were courteous and the traders club benefits were awesome. The hotel is close to the shopping malls, Petronas Towers and transit. Would have no problem recommending this to others.

Very nice staff, nice view to KLCC tower

Wicked hotel in fab position, can't wait to go back. The sky bar is also a must and the views are stunning

Stayed for 2 nights during CNY in KL. Location is really excellent. Convenient to Bintang walk and shopping, Petronas towers. I booked a rate that was King OR 2 singles but really wanted a King bed and stated my preference. However, they only had singles due to overbooking of Kings. I understand the policy but in the future I would not book this kind of flexible rate with them. The room was OK but the carpets were buckling and the furniture was in need of some repair. Not horrible, but not 4 star level quality.

Superb!!! I spend approximately 70 nights a year in hotels and this is one of The Best hotels I have come across in my recent travels. I loved it!!!

My Husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon for two nights. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely bunch of roses. When we got to the room, it was full of rose petals and a lovely welcome note. We then went to check out the hotel facilities and when we arrived back to our room, the manager had left an arrange of cup cakes with another welcome note and an option to to have our continental breakfast in our room as we were on our honeymoon. Our room was amazing and we had the most spectacular view of the towers. When we booked we had arranged to have access to the club lounge. I would highly recommend doing this, as the canapés of an evening are just amazing with such a great few of the towers. Service is fantastic and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the club lounge was also great. We did have the option to eat down stairs however we noticed it got quite busy down there and opted to stay in the club lounge for breakfast, Great range of food for both breakfast and canapés. Location is amazing. The shuttle the hotel runs is also fantastic as it takes a short trip in the buggy to get to the main shopping district. As we were checking out, we were asked to take a seat and a gentlemen kindly came over with a box of chocolates to say thank you for staying and hope you enjoyed your honeymoon. These little touches made this such a terrific experience. Overall we have had such a memorable honeymoon and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We will be back to visit.

Took room which oversee the twin towers. For view of twin towers, it's better than mandarin oriental as the latter is too near to the towers. They have a crappy lounge though. Unfitting for a five star hotel

Perfect Location Very Friendly/Helpful Staff Skybar View 'AMAZING' Would be the only hotel to stay in Kuala Lumpur.

This hotel is lovely and in a great location - a mere stroll to the Petronas towers and a few different shopping malls - the Pavillion and Suria - but the staff are the highlight. We arrived late (with kids) and ate in the restaurant where they cheerfully help the buffet open for us (the food was great BTW). Every one from the bell girl to the front desk were just delightful! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

My room just face the Twins Tower. It located in the center of KL. It is easy to go to the shopping mall.

Great hotel, superb service, more than worth the price! Great location!

We had a tower view room which was amazing! When selecting a room, pick an option that includes access to the business lounge - it's really worth it. You can sign up for it at the hotel as well which is what we did. In the lounge they have free breakfast, plus free drinks and appetizers later in the evening - definitely worth it! The upstairs pool/bar is pretty nice too. The breakfast buffet on the fifth floor is one of the best we've had - wide variety of Asian and Indian foods as well as western food. If you sign up for the upstairs lounge, breakfast here is included (at least it was when we signed up). The hotel itself is part of the park with the twin towers - just walk out the side door - there's even a buggy to drive you to the towers if you don't want to walk.

I would recommend it yes, if you are on a business trip - efficient service.

Traders Hotel is a very comfortable hotel located in the heart of KL. It is only moments away from KLCC which is convenient for shopping, and not too far away from Bukit Bintang (a bit too far to walk in the heat in my opinion). I had the impression this hotel was going to be fabulous for some reason, but I was slightly let down as it wasn't as 'unique' as some other hotels I have stayed at before. It is basically an excellent business hotel, but nothing spectacular. The highlight of the hotel stay was hanging out at the skybar which commands excellent views of KLCC in both the day and night. I'd still recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay, but perhaps look for something more 'different' the next time I'm in KL.

We only stayed one night, would be better if the stay was longer!

The Towers view of the Traders Hotel is absolutely beautiful -- definitely get a towers view and request a high floor (we were on the 23'rd)! But, even if you don't get the Towers side view, you can go into the Sky Bar at night and enjoy the view. Plus, on Friday night it was a nice Club scene with a great DJ -- definitely Club music though the environment was one of chilling with some drinks and good company. Luxurious seats line the side of the pool with awesome views of the Petronas Towers! The Bathroom was very luxurious and the Hot showers/bath was awesome! Can't say enough about our experience. Location is excellent, we easily walked across the park in the morning to get tickets for the Petronas Towers tour (show up EARLY at 6:30 am to queue up). Multiple malls (open air and close) are within walking distance. The only downfall is that it can be confusing how to park / enter the hotel upon arrival. However, once you understand it is easy to work around. The actual check-in is located on the 5'th floor (not ground floor). Only concierge is located on the ground floor, so you must pull in to drop off your bags in front -- they will be delivered to your room after check-in -- then go park (or just pay $20 ringit for them to park for your convenience). Finally, you go up to the 5'th floor to check in, and 10 mins later your bags are delivered to your room. But, the concierge was excellent and very useful for directions, map printouts, etc. Can't say enough for our visit to KL!

This is an excellent hotel that goes outfits way to ensure that its guests have a truly enjoyable stay. Rooms are well maintained and spotless. Service is exemplary. I wold definitely recommend it and would rank it as among the bestir not the best in KL.

amazing hotel, looks almost brand new. the location is pretty good, about 20 min walk from bukit bintang and very close to suria klcc. plently of complimentry bottled water and free internet. food and drinks were very expensive at the hotel, but theres an amazing supermarket in suria klcc. i would definetly recommend it.

JUST STAY HERE, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT AND NOTHING IS A HASSLE FOR THE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. DEFINATELY PAY THE FEW EXTRA BUCKS FOR A TOWER VIEW ROOM, AMAZING VIEW!! WILL RETURN WITHOUT HESITATION! :-)

Staff were courteous, knowledgeable and approachable. Room and bathroom were plenty big. Bed was very comfortable. Pool on 32nd floor was icing on the cake. Pool staff was very friendly. Would definitely return.

Lives up the 5 star experience from the moment you step out of the taxi till you leave. Only a few minor cravats regarding the organization of their lobby, but once you figure it out, everything is ok. Check in and registration desks are on the 5th floor, concierge is on the 1st floor. Confusing, since they don't communicate well with each other. At checkout, registration person was quick to say "Bags are already at the concierge", when it was apparent he had NO clue if they actually were. Concierge apparently also had no clue if we had finished checking out, so the communication was up to me. No problem, but we had to unnecessarily wait for our bags due to this tedious process. Outside of this minor, and possibly isolated incident, the overall stay actually met my expectations. The hotel looks and feels new, and the only time you can tell its aging is in the rooms, due to the almost negligible residual rust or discoloration from dampness on certain areas in the bathroom (tropical country after all). (oh, and the strangely cracked tiles due to poorly designed bathroom. Who designed this thing? getting to the towel rack is like a safari expedition...) Hotel gets aces for location, right on the park, next to the convention center, and across from the Petronas Towers. BUT, if you wanted to go elsewhere, you realize, the hotel is tucked away behind the convention center. Again, just a bit confusing. Service felt luxurious, amenities were luxurious, though not outlandishly priced. Would highly recommend.

I stayed in the club level, the rooms had a beautiful view over KUL tower, the location is excellent in the centre of the city and the breakfast was okay, staff are very friendly and welcoming, would recommend the hotel for friends, the price is a bit high compared to other hotels in the area.

Very nice contemporary property with great views of Petronas towers. Have a little jitney that takes you over to the mall at the base of the towers and there is a public transportation hub there as well. (It is an easy walk also but with the heat and humidity take the ride!) Lovely public gardens in front of the hotel. Service is excellent. Food way overpriced so go out instead.
