Hotel Mela - نيويورك

عندما قررنا الذهاب إلى Hotel Mela كالفندق الأساسي بالنسبة لنا، فقد رأيت 4 عروض Broadway وتناولنا الطعام في مطاعم من فئة 3 نجوم ولم نمشي أكثر من 6 مبانٍ في أي اتجاه. كانت الغرف كبيرة بالفعل بالنسبة لفنادق مدينة نيويورك، كما يمكن كما أقول حرفيًا أن تقع من الفراش في Saju Bistro لتناول الإفطار، والغداء، والعشاء كما يمكنك عبور الشارع لمشاهدة "End of the Rainbow". أود أن أقيم في هذا الفندق المرة القادمة وأود العودة مرة أخرى.

كان موظف الاستقبال كفء ومتعاون جدًا. وكانت الغرفة نظيفة، والفراش مريح، والحمام جيد. ولكن كان هناك بعض المشاكل بخصوص نقص المياه الدافئة ولكنها كانت مشكلة صغيرة. وبصفة عامة موقع الفندق رائع وجيد جدًا.

لقد أقمت في عدة فنادق لرجال الأعمال ولكنها المرة الأولى لي النزول في Hotel Mela. بالرغم أن الغرفة كانت صغيرة جدًا، حتى بالنسبة لفنادق نيويورك، كانت الغرفة نظيفة جدًا ومريحة لأنها موجودة في وسط المبنى، لذلك كانت الضوضاء منخفضة وكان ذلك شيئًا إيجابيًا بالنسبة لنا. والفندق موجود في وسط times square حيث يسهل الوصول إلى الطرق الفرعية والأماكن الهامة. سأقيم هناك مرة أخرى بالتأكيد.

كان كل شئ رائع ما عدا البواب حيث كان يظل واقفًا بدلاً من مساعدتي في فتح الباب عندما يكون معي أمتعة كثيرة.

نظيف وهادئ جدًا. وسنوصي به لأصدقائنا. وقمنا بالحجز من خلال Hotels.com وحصلت على غرفة رائعة الحجم وبسعر مناسب.

Very nice and clean hotel. The first room they put us in was the size of a small broom closet although neat and clean. We complained to the manager and he was very nice and gave us a larger room at no charge. The Hotel is right by Times Square and if you like the hubbub this is the place for you. If you want something a little more "calm" look elsewhere.

I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Despite being practically in Times Square (which I would normally avoid) the street was quiet, there are several very nice restaurants just feet away, the look and feel of the hotel is sleek and modern and the people were very nice. I would definitely stay there again.

Within walking distance of every Broadway theater, half a block from Times Square, twenty minutes by foot from Central Park, and surrounded by restaurants, this is really a great midtown location for a stay that includes those things. The facilities are pretty nice and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. Our "view" was of an air shaft, be we only used the room for sleeping anyway. I highly recommend this one.

My room was on the second floor which is also the location of the fitness room, so i could hear the TV from the fitness room loud and clear in my room because you could have slipped a laptop through the gap at the bottom of my door. My room was tiny, my window was almost as if it were to a ventilation shaft rather than the outdoors. I've stayed here before on higher floors and in bigger rooms, so I know that there are nice rooms here.

saw this on hotels.com at a great price, and perfect location. room was quiet and comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location close to theaters and very good restaurants next door and just across the street. Subway a block away and very convenient to everything wonderful about NY!

After a long trip I stayed here overnight d/t a layover at JFK. The bed was so comfortable I had a great sleep. The service was superb. The location was perfect for shopping, Times Square, theatre district, museums, everything. They let me have a late check out no problem, they let me leave my luggage while I walked around manhattan after checkout, and they arranged for my cab back to JFK. The room was small but met my needs. Free wifi in room worked great. Flat screen tv, luxury toiletries. Quiet and clean. I would stay here again.

I've stayed at Hotel Mela twice so far. The location is great if you are looking to stay in Times Square and there are lots of touristy things to do and see within walking distance: Rockefeller Center, Crystal Building, Empire State Building, 30 Rock, Eataly, MoMA, etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable both times I stayed. For a boutique hotel, this place isn't annoyingly modern. Style-wise, they got it right. Everything was great and I would recommend it to friends and family. However, I would give Hotel Mela two strikes against it after my most recent stay for the following reasons. We had a room right next to the elevator, so we could hear both the elevator moving behind the wall as well as lots of foot traffic and noise in the hallway (and they could probably hear everything I did as well). Secondly, the bed was comfortable but not as comfortable as most other hotel beds in the city. The mattress was not firm enough for my liking and the fitted sheet was worn and pilled. But, again, I would recommend Hotel Mela to friends and fam looking to stay in Times Square... I would just tell them to request more private room and perhaps speak up if the sheets need to be replaced.

Although the rooms are small, the size is sufficient. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. We stayed four nights and did not encounter any problems and will stay here again.

Would not hesitate to stay at the Mela again in the future.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights in february 2013 and had a fantastic time. The hotel position literally could not be better, it was a 30 second walk to the centre of times square, but also extremely quiet during the day and night. The room was more than big enough for the two of us, and to be honest we were pretty much only in there when we were sleeping. The maid service was fantastic and the room was cleaned ever day with fresh towels etc. The staff were very helpful, giving us directions to train and bus terninals whn we were venturing out of the city to the jersey gardens outlet mall and over to new jersey to watch the ice hockey. Overall it was fanastic and we would definately stay there again. Many thanks to all the staff at the Hotel Mela

Helpful, nice staff, nice amenities, fabulous location... but there was a waterbug in the bathroom (!) and the bed was extremely uncomfortable!

What really impressed me during my stay was how understanding and helpful the staffs were! I went to NYC for an audition, as expected I got complains from the neighbors while practicing. Instead of telling me to stop playing, the staff let me to practice in the conference room, because the meeting was cancelled last minute. They also helped me with printing music and etc. The room was small, but it's understandable in NY. But it's the staffs who really made this hotel special. By the way, I end up winning that audition. Thank you, Hotel Mela.

Wonderful! I will stay there again. Only issue: rooms/ beds/ bathrooms are very small. Very comfortable, but small.

room was somewhat closet-like. Services in the hotel are minimal. Room was clean but had mostly bed and desk and the lights of times square flashing throughout the night. Other issue with this hotel is that the location on 44th street makes getting a cab very difficult. 3 other hotels grab them all before they get to this place. Would only stay there again if I was spending almost all my time in Times Square. Otherwise there are better alternatives.

Just half a block away from Times Square, location wise, you cannot beat it. Rooms were really small but good VFM.

While John Paul and Christian were some of the most helpful staff, the woman working the front desk both mornings we were there, was nothing short of rude. She did not provide any guidance or assistance beyond what was required of her and even then, was not helpful at all when I requested information about how long valet would take to get the car back. She said 5 minutes when I chose valet, but when I requested the car the next day, said it would be 45 minutes. I ended up walking to the garage myself in the rain/snow; she didn't offer an apology or to refund the valet cost. The location is great- steps away from Times Square. The room is SO small and there is no place to put your luggage. Plan on keeping suitcases on the floor and lining the window sill with your items; don't worry, there is no view so you won't mind putting your stuff on the sill.

Great location, clean rooms, lots of restaurant choices . Convenient and affordable.

The Mela Hotel is a great place to stay if location and convenience are paramount to you. The rooms are clean and modern but are very tiny. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you can put up with a small space, its a very smart place to stay.

Great location. Room was a little small. the french bistro next doorw was great.

Good service at the reception desk. Central location close to most subway lines and between Grand Central and Penn train stations. Times Square at the corner but the room was quiet, even on friday or saturday night. Limited space in the bedroom, especially when you have 2 big suitcases but one: you can manage if you are not 100 years old and two: it's New-York! you'll spend your time outside anyway. Clean room and clean bathroom with a big shower. Only concern: the WIFI, almost inexistant on room 713. Overall, very satisfied.

Quality of Hotel Servive = 3 --- only because I didnt use any services! Housekeeping did its job, my check in / check out experience was fine, but that was the extent of it. Other than that, its steps away from ALL major subway lines, so could get anywhere from there. I dont like Theater District, but for the price, it was perfect. The hotel was clean, the room (small) but cozy. The best thing is that it had a window, a bed, reading lamps, plenty of outlets, a desk (I was working from home, so that was great) and a bathroom. The ONLY thing I will complain about is that my WIFI was SUPER SLOW... so when trying to work all day with it, it became really annoying. Thanks for the great and afforadable stay!

Perfect spot to stay in NYC...

Rooms very very small. No chair, desk, etc. Had to sit on bed. Mo ice. Had to call front desk for ice.

Really satisfied with our stay. The rooms were bigger and the quality was higher than other NY hotels I've stayed at in this price range. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay here. Every thing is right with in walking distance. A cute little restaurant downstairs and a great bar next door. There is even a little convenience store a few doors down. The rooms are small but from what I hear that is typical of NY and we were only there to sleep for the night, not hang out in the room. Everything was very clean and modern.

Enjoyed the stay at Hotel Mela, staff is extremely attentive and courteous. Clean, with all the needed amenities at a very good price. Location is excellent. Both restaurants on each side of the hotel and some right in Times Square are excellent as well. Will definitely stay there again

Consistent great service and nice room...what you'd expect if you walked into one of the most popular chains.

The room was small, but comfortable and it comes with everything you need. We were concerned with the mini bar item that I picked up to take a close look - the sign says that we will be charged once the item is removed from the tray. My husband took and showed to the front desk a photo of the item back in its position to prove that we did not use it. Then it was okay (we were not charged). Everyone at the hotel (the front desk, bell boys, cleaning staff) were all extremely courteous. Plus the great location. We will probably come back to this hotel

Great value for the room. Yes, the room is a little small. Yes, we had a double bed. Neither is a problem. The location is great. Parking right next door. Friendly stafff. Subway close. Theaters close. Would definitely come back for the price.

We enjoyed the great location, one-half block from Times Square, and had a surprisingly quiet room (not facing the street, so no view). The staff responded cheerfully and quickly to our requests for extra linens, ice, etc. The rooms are small, as one would expect in Manhattan, and if you are spending most of your time out sight-seeing or attending a show, that is a reasonable trade-off for the convenient access. The hotel's bedding configuration means the rooms are best for 2 people; our family of 3 (2 parents and one teen) needed to add a roll-away bed, which made for a less comfortable feeling in the room at night. Only one negative: guests can NOT use the mini-bar fridge to keep their own drinks/fruit cold.

Small hotel. Quiet, great location, and clean. What more can you want in NYC. Rooms were much smaller than the chains, but very tastefully decorated. They helped with directions, stored my bag the last day, and were kind. Very small elevators!

The heater cycled on and off constantly and was very loud. We had a hard time sleeping and needed earplugs.

There were flakes of dead skin in my bed, so, clearly, that was a huge negative. The room itself was spacious by Manhattan standards, and the bathroom was super clean, but, the ick in the bed was nasty. There were NO BBs however, so, relief there. The lobby was cheesy--the red sofas looked dirty and gross--and the elevators were old and ugly. The room decor was updated and attractive. I don't know if that room had just been vacant for a while and dust accumulated on the bed, or if the dead skin fairy came in and loofahed herself on the sheets, but that needs to be addressed. I won't rush back to this property.
