Antigua Yacht Club Marina - فالماوث هاربر

This hotel is comfortable but not luxurious. It is next to a marina. The hotel does not have its "own" beach area or a pool. There is a public beach a 5 to 10 min walk away. The public beach is very crowded with locals on the weekends - otherwise it's fairly quiet. There are no amenities at the public beach (no restrooms, no chairs or cabanas for rent, etc) although there is a little cafe there. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel - mostly in Falmouth Harbor. Nelson's Dockyard Historic site (in English Harbor) is also within walking distance (find a time when it isn't crowded with cruise ship patrons). If you choose this hotel, ask for the corner room on the second floor of the hotel, overlooking the marina. Next time I visit the island, I will choose a resort that is on a beach rather than at a marina. The main town of St. John's is really ugly with no charming sights and no decent shopping - so don't stay around that area.

Adjacent to the most spectacular collection of sailboats and yachts I have ever soon. Harbor too small for cruise boats (yeaaaa!) . Very nice rooms. No pool or beach but lovely beach a 10-minute walk away. Good food nearby. Taxi to airport and St. Johns $30.

Parking a rental vehicle can be a problem across from the hotel at night, when people from around the island come to the marina to party. Get your space early or come very late after the dinner crowd has left. Also, in the parking lot, beware of others scraping your rental vehicle - spaces are tight and there are multiple scrape events each night.

Can't get much close to the marina. Friendly & helpful staff. Large room & bathroom. Shower hot water was warm enough but could have been hotter. A/C in room worked very well. Very good Gym with plenty of equipment for a solid workout. Plenty of close by restaurants & cafe's. Nelsons dockyard walking distance.

checked in staff were friendly room was a disaster lights bulbs were out no hot water shower door was broken cupboard door handles falling off called maintenance next morning they tried to do repairs still no hot water though was moved to a sea view hot water in this room was warm at best rest of room much better

The rooms are layered up from a point about 20' above sea level so the higher you go the better the view. The lower rooms don't have much of a view, but the higher ones have a nice view of Falmouth Harbor. The room we had was a Sea View Studio which indeed had a decent view, and was large. If you look at the hotel website you'll see a really nicely decorated room with plants and fruit... that's not the case in reality although the picture is representative of the room size. Also, the website states all rooms have somewhat of a view of the marina... I'd call that a stretch. If a view is important to you, make that plain when you make a reservation. The better the view, the more you're going to hoof it up the access road/path to get there although the hotel does offer a golf cart ride if you like The desk personnel were helpful and pleasant and the desk is manned until I think 10P or so. WiFi is available but not free.

Stayed in September - great place. Nice surroundings and great value. Quiet time of the year, very relaxing. Rooms are new and clean. Friendly staff. Will return.

Overlooking the marina and secluded in a romantic part of the island, this is a 'laid back' destination that will come to life during the winter months. I was one of 2 guest rooms being occupied. The service is personal, but limited, due being out of season. The rooms have charm, are simple, clean and have the necessary ammentities. This was for business and a pleasant surprise to be able to stay for that kind of money.

phone never worked, shower could not be adjusted, cold water just a trickle, fan made such a racket, pane of glass in door to balcony not cut right letting bugs in, shower walls made of 1/4" real glass. Very dangerous. being handicapped and on a cane, never offered a ride up a steep grade drive until the night before we left. Drive to room was at least a 45degree angle. Very slippery when wet which was wet. Cock roaches found in room. Told management of most of these problems and in 21 days, it never mattered, General manager went on vacation. Female manager took over and tried but it was late into out stay. She was very kind.

The propert was very, very nice refreshing even, tranquility at its best. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The view from my room was breathe taking. I wished that I never had to leave. Having Nelson's Dockyard in such close walking distance adds to the amazement! I will DEFINITELY stay there again! Thumbs up!!

This hotel is exactly what we were looking for. It was away from any large towns but walking distance from the beaches and a stone's throw away from the harbor. This is the type of hotel you want to stay at if you're looking for a relaxing stay. There are several restaurants within walking distance, but if you go during storm/hurricane season very few are open. Drive from the airport is about an hour and you pay accordingly. There was 24 hour security at the hotel and a small grocery store (expensive) across the street.

JUST OK

We loved our stay here. Beautiful views of the boats in the marina from our balcony. Room was clean and modern with a large bathroom. We had the "hotel" room which was was fine, had a small fridge, but no coffee maker in the room. Short walk to many different restaurant choices, about a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach and about a 10 minute walk to Nelson's Dockyard. Would definitely come back.

Nice large room very spacious and basically walking distance to sites in area.

The hotel location is great. I had beautiful view of the marina from my room and I had a variety of restaurants to choose from for my meals. There are 2 beaches a 10 minute walk away and the locals are very friendly. Across the road from the hotel there was a convenience store. The night life is also a walking distance from the hotel. The room was nice and very clean (I'm a bit OCD about these things!) and the staff at the hotel were very friendly. The two things I would improve is the shower head as it wasn't very powerful and the mosquitoes. There were quite a lot in my room so it would be nice if the hotel used some kind of anti-bug spray on the rooms. As a whole Antigua is a beautiful island and the hotel is a great choice.

Stort rum med balkong. Fräscht. Sängen var dock väldigt hård och duschen var ganska dåligt tryck i. 15 minuters gång till stranden (pigeon beach) och ca 10minuter till Nelson's dockyard. Behöver inte betala något inträde (US$ 8) om man bor där.
