Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket - فوكيت

Movenpick is one of only two beachside hotels in Karon worth staying at, with the other being the much more expensive Hilton. The facilities are great with many restaurants to chose from which we found to be much better than the nearby local food which was of poor quality for a mostly Russian clientele. The gardens are fabulous and offer guests a retreat from the heat and the overwhelming crowds and noise of Phuket. Access to the other more crowded beaches nearby like Patang are cheap and taxis are everywhere. Overall a very nice, clean, safe and affordable hotel.

This resort is close to the action of Phuket island without the irritation of rowdy tourists and the hustle bustle of a popular destination. Totally loved it and planning our next stay. Service from hotel staff was prompt and always courteous. Even the fitness centre was well equipped and serviced well.

Great resort. Good location. Stayed in garden villa after checking into standard room well worth the extra cost. Totally different experience being in the gardens as to staying in the standard room which was small and noisy.

Movenpick has a certain 'older' style about it's hotel and bungalows. That being said it has been very well maintained. The main hotel tower where we stayed in a Deluxe Ocean View room had a view of the sea, albeit from 300-400m back with the sand being obstructed by trees. The room was very large and always perfectly clean. The buffet breakfast was very good with a good variety of different cuisine including many 'made while you wait' options. If I were to stay in the Karon Beach area again I would probably stay here.

This was not my first visit to Phuket but that was my first stay at the Mövenpick resort. The resort is huge with a lot of facilities including 4 swimimng pools and offering many types of rooms type. Since we are a family of 4 we choosed the 2 bedroom residence. Very nice, clean and comfortable room, infact we felt at home. The hotel staff with no exception, from the moment we checked in were very welcoming, and helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Phuket.

The stay was outstanding! This was our 2nd time staying at the Karon Movenpick. We are already planning a 3rd visit in December. The residence room was defiantly worth the price and we will utilize again. The only issue we had was that the A/C went out in the master bedroom and the level of maid service could be a tad bit better - it seemed as if the floors, table top and counters were always cleaned in a hurry. Other than that, this is a great hotel for families with small children.

we had an overall good stay,hotel is conveniently located on Karon beach, very near to the beach and closeby to Kata and Patong. Restaurants are nice , pools are nice. The downsides were breakfast at the hotel,service was not so good, was very crowded and staff was either not very friendly or helpful. The kids zone is not too great too. Spa is just ok not worth the price, cheaper options outside the hotel.

Villa rooms are a good size. (we had 2 adults and 2 small children in ours and it was OK). The grounds are quite lovely and comfortable. Our kids loved the pool and waterslide. It's not at all glamorous and chic but comfortable and functional. Good beach out the back. The hotel charging for Wi-fi doesn't seem appropriate given what other hotels do. Breakfast was good. Value for money is not that great given other places in Asia but we travelled over Christmas break and probably overpaid for that period.

The hotel is located very close to Karon Beach and is walking distance to the town of Karon. Its well maintained and the staff were very helpful.

The pictures of the hotel do not correspond to the reality!!! The resort is really old (more than 20 years old), all the villas are very used and dirty, all ground floor villas have very specific "old" smell. Penthouse villas are better. Plunge pool is impossible to use because of big quantity of chlorine which is used to disinfect it. We have seen 5 villas before choosing the villa to stay!!! The beach is not private, you have to leave the resort and cross over a street to arrive to the beach, where you have to pay for the beach chairs and umbrellas. The gym is too small and old as well. The breakfast is ok. It takes about 10 min to go to Patong by tuk-tuk. The wi-fi internet doesn't work almost every day! The staff is very bad educated, they demonstrate a bad knowledge of English and the indifference to the customer's needs!!!!!

Infrastructure - rooms, lobby, grounds, pool - is 5-star, but service is 3-3.5 star. Given that, the US $300-odd that we paid per room per night was not especially good value for money. (Although we did travel during peak New Year's season.) Positives: 3 pools. Main pool is fantastic. Big, deep in parts, shallow in others. Swim-up bar decent-sized, although getting a bit old. Big lobby - airy and grand. I stayed in an ocean-view room, in the main building, which was standard-issue 5-star. Not extravagant, but perfectly adequate for such a property. (The rooms are aging and will need renovation soon.) Note, rooms in the main building (least expensive ones) are a 5-7 minute walk to the beach. Some subset of villas are much closer. Negatives: Service left something to be desired. The general impression we got was that the staff wanted to be done with whatever conversation they were having with us as soon as they could, so they could attend to presumably more important things. The vaunted friendliness of Thailand was missing, but unfortunately, it was not replaced with Western efficiency either. Language was an issue - one expects a European 5-star resort to have staff that speak adequate English, but this was not always the case, and resulted in one instance of particularly bad service.

I think it is fair to say that the hotel is 4 star at best, not 4.5 stars. The staff were very welcoming and tried to be helpful were they could be. The room was nice enough - the beds were comfortable. However, even with an upgraded room, the view was not spectacular. Perhaps we were expecting more before we arrived and our overall disappointment with Phuket influenced our feelings about the hotel, but we left feeling a bit ripped off. That's the only really specific gripe I could say. The prices really are absurd for Thailand. The hotel capitalises too much on tourists and the food, spa, airport transfers and tours feel extortionate! The hotel is family friendly but for that reason, the pool is not a peaceful place to relax and read a book. I think the hotel would suit some perfectly well, but it was not for us, but neither for that matter was Phuket.

For our relaxing holiday vacation, we ended up booking a room at the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket. Not at all disappointed with our choice. Hotel facilities were excellent, such as the three swimming pools, our spacious Plunge Pool Villa and the good variety of food at the three in-house restaurants. However, the in-room entertainment could have been much better and at a 5-star resort, free. Staff very friendly as always, but a late check out only available until 2pm for free. The business center was free for use within the opening hours, even after checkout. Not satisfied with the Spa - Call rates for within Thailand were very expensive, as we were charged over 70 baht for a 2 min call to a hotel in Bangkok. All in all a recommendable hotel.

Nice hotel, good room, well maintained, beautiful gardens, good service and good buffet breakfast. Only negative no WiFi available in the room and internet connections quite expensive. But business centre has free internet available.

Great location about 15 cab ride to Patong Beach. Beach is across the road but the pools are fantastic.

Was a terrific hotel, very clean and friendly staff. I suggest for a look around grab a tuk tuk to the Kata shops as they are more touristy unlike Karon where it is a little more run down. If you want to rough it a little then it is fine but Kata is lovely for a view. Hotel was very quiet and relaxing and plenty to do, you don't even have to leave the place if you don't want. Beach is across the road. If you want one of the million tailors, go to J. Sandic in Karon, was fantastic.

It was a real pleasure to find a Swiss owned hotel in the beauty of Thailand. The hotel is clean, modern and the location is great. Right next to beautiful Karon beach. The included breakfast was the best we had on our trip. The service was impressive and the hotel had just about everything you need. There are even a few local restaurants at Thai prices just outside the main entrance. I really enjoyed our stay there.

Moven Pick shattered our holiday plans. It's located so far from beach and markets. It's a huge property. Good Moven Pick is for garden lovers not for beach lovers. Too pricy and the facilities are not worth the price. We stayed 3 days there but couldn't do any activity. We stayed another 2 days in Patong Beach hotel where we paid only fraction of this price to enjoy the beach. Karon beach is very boring compare to Patong. Moven Pick is a very boring place. Rooms don't have the basic facilities. They are over charging for the facility they provide. Except the breakfast & traditional thai music we didn't enjoy anything there....

The location was excellent, close to some lovely shops and amenities without having to walk far. The surrounding area is busy but not rowdy like some tourists locations. It is located 2 mins from the beach; the only pity is it involves crossing a road although road is not too busy and a security guard is always present to help guests with the crossing. We hired a car and parking is available for guests staying at the residences. However, it was a little inconvenient as coming and going involved locating a satff to open the gates. However, I will definitely revisit the hotel and highly recommeds it to others.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The food was excellent and the facilities are good. I would recommend to stay in Patong area for someone who wants action and nightlife.

The location is close to anything you want to do in Phuket, i.e. night life, shopping, going to see places, etc. etc.

If you are looking for a 5 star resort & spa hotel where you and your spouse can relax in an adequate environment - than this is not the place to go to. We have booked this place since we already know the Mövenpick Hotel in Dubai. Unfortunately, there are galaxies between them. The furniture seems to be at least 10-15 years old with scratches and old dirty cutions. The hotel staff hardly speaks any English and is unlike the rest of the Thais surprisingly impolite. The environment including the beach was not even close to what we expected. Quite dirty and loud.

总体还行，设施不怎么样，4个房间有2个房间空调都有问题，搞了3天还没搞定。house keeping打扫的也不认真，地上明显的碎屑垃圾也没扫掉

选择瑞享是因为决定住在卡伦海滩，而且它的儿童设施比较多！入住之后觉得还不错，酒店绿化什么的都可以，还有一个儿童乐园，游泳池也有儿童区域，总体感觉不错。但说实话并没有惊喜，是一个老酒店，房间设施比较旧。我们定的花园房是一个独立的小房子，前面有一个沙滩椅！当时定的时候图片显示有一个小温泉池，实际上并不是所有房型都有，我们的就没有！就卡伦海滩来说酒店离沙滩的距离还比较近，不过也是要过一个马路，没有专属海滩。因为是带孩子去，除了去趟皇帝岛之外并没有去别处玩，所以如果不去皮皮岛什么地方浮潜的话，我的感受是但就性价比来说不如巴厘岛的酒店。

Vi ble veldig godt tatt hånd om. Over alt var det et meget serviceinnstilt personale. Hotellet har i grunn alt. 3 bassengområder, butikker, cafeer, aktivitetstilbud som bordtennis, biljard osv. Gratis prøvedykk i basseng med profesjonelle instruktører. Rommene var store og flotte! Vi kommer mer enn gjerne tilbake !!

Du stiger in i en oas. Anläggningen är fantastisk in i minsta detalj. Ljussättningen är superb när du vandrar längs hotellets små gångvägar på kvällen. Servicen är superb. Vissa villor kunde ha planerats lite bättre lägesmässigt, men annars finns det inget alls att klaga på.

Vi havde booket fire overnatninger på Mövenpick, og hotellet levede i høj grad op til vores forventninger. Vi havde valgt et standardværelse med udsigt til haven, men kunne dog også skimte havet fra altanen. Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme, og de småting, der skulle ordnes på værelset, blev fikset med det samme. Hotellet indbyder meget til hygge og romantik, da området ned mod stranden er udbygget med små huse, et fint stisystem og masser planter, orkideer og lys. Poolområdet er også rigtigt hyggelig, der er en fin poolbar og mulighed for at få udleveret håndklæder. Hotellet ligger direkte ned til den lækre sandstrand, og der er sikkerhedsfolk ved alle indgangene. Morgenmadsbuffeten er et kapitel for sig selv; den skal simpelthen opleves. Der var så mange lækkerier at vælge imellem. Hotellet har derudover et godt fitnessrum og en spa, men ingen af delene benyttede vi os af. Alt i alt var vi super tilfredse med vores ophold og vil klart anbefale det til andre.

Stort og fint hotell, med god service. Kort vei til strand. Meget bra frokostbuffet. Det er flere resturanter på restorten. Pizzaresturanten er ingen ting å skryte av, men vi fikk meget god mat på "biffresturanten" (husker ikke hva den heter). Hotellets beliggenhet er bra mtp stranden (5 min å gå).

Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr schön und liegt auch nah am Strand ( 5 min. zu Fuß durch die Gartenanlage. Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Preise im Hotel ( z.B. an der Poolbar ) sind im Vergleich zu den Preisen außerhalb des Hotels sehr teuer.

Nach Anfangsschwierigkeiten hat es uns sehr gefallen. Es werden Zimmerbilder- die vor vielen Jahren fotografiert wurden- im Internet, sowie Vorort im Hotel, präsentiert! Man entscheidet sich für das teuere Zimmer mit Gartensicht u.bekommt ein mit Betonmauern umgebener Sitzplatz,enttäuschend! Nach mehrmaligen, mühsamen Anfragen(viel Zeitaufwand) hat es nach 3 Tagen m.dem Zimmerwechsel doch noch geklappt.

Mycket bra hotell, extremt vänliga och serviceminded. Frukosten var otroligt bra, massa att välja på. Polbaren var mycket trevlig, otroligt goda drinkar. Rummen var även de riktigt bra, stora i bekväma. Lite tråkigt att deras spa va lite i dyraste laget bara. Detta är ett dyrt hotell men man får faktiskt vad man betalt för vill jag lova.

Vi har været meget tilfredse med vores ophold på hotel Movenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach. Betjeningen var upåkladelig og personalet var meget smilende og hjælpsomme. Vi opgraderede vores værelse til en bungalov med eget spapool på terassen. Det var virkilige gode værelse. Kan varmt anbefale dette hotel. Vil helt sikkert igen bruge dette hotel næste gang vi kommer til Phuket

真正海景，离沙滩二百米，每天看海上日落。房间很好，酒店泳池也不错。美中不足的是酒店餐厅做的菜太难吃，幸运的是酒店后面到处是饭馆，有便宜又好吃。

Vi havde en fantastisk uge på Mövenpick, hvor vi boede med vores 1,5 år gamle tvillinger. Hotellet ligger super godt ned mod en lækker strand, poolen er fantastisk til både børn og voksne og hotellets mange restauranter serverer virkelig lækker mad, både internationalt og thai.

Das Mövenpick Resort hat einen super schönen, riesigen Park und schön angelegte Pools. Alles wirkt extrem gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind schön und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Das Personal sehr nett. Die Anlage sehr sauber. Einzige Minuspunkte: Die Liegen und Sonnenschirme am Strand gehören nicht zum Hotel und müssen täglich (200 Baht) bezahlt werden. Zudem ist am Kiosk die berühmte Mövenpick-Eiscreme manchmal abgelaufen. (Verbraucherdatum) Das geht für uns Schweizer gar nicht. Trotzdem würden wir wieder in das wunderschöne Hotel gehen. Alles andere ist sehr zu empfehlen. Vielleicht könnte man noch Wifi im Zimmer anschliessen, ist aber für uns nicht so wichtig.

Номера в отеле требуют ремонта.Очень темные и старые. Завтраки не очень вкусные. В SPA цены не соответствуют качеству.

非常人性化的服务，幸运的从海景房升级到独栋的小别墅，但是没有独立泳池，奇怪的是订房时没有看到这种房型？进出可以叫门前的小车接送，不然整个酒店就像个天然大迷宫，走啊走，好累人！

我们订了两天的房子 刚开始还是让人非常满意的 ，但最后一天我们中午退房，早上希望服务员能帮着再收拾一下，可是却没有人再给我们打扫房间了。这点让我们觉得有些遗憾！

酒店環境好, 服務更好。 出入交通費頗費, 客房上網費用不便宜, 而且速度有待改善。 如果泳池有浮泡供應給小朋友又或有提供免費穿梭巴士去巴東, 那酒店就十全十美了。
