FINE HOTEL AND VERY CONVENIENTLY LOCATED. I WILL SATY AGAIN

was very cozy and perfect for someone who wants everything at their fingertips ie great bar and 5 restaurants. eating breakfast on the pool deck was great. One of the nicest pools. Even thought the Verdanza is a little old it was designed well and I found it a great value.

Needs darker window blinds, nice room but way too bright

Only one block from wonderful, uncrowded beaches. A block from the bus stop to Old San Juan, and to a grocery store. The lobby was very nice as was the front staff. The bakery was good for a quick breakfast. Hotels with casinos next door and blocks away. The room was more like a 2 star-lumpy bed, moldy smell, small bathroom and no hot water at 10 am. The room refrig. froze our food, the safe wasn't even secured. Our room wasn't cleaned the first day even though we put the service please sign out. If you are looking for something near the beach and won't be in your room much, this works. If you want more, this isn't for you.

We were pleasantly surprised by our accommodations. The Verdanza exceeded our expectations! The room was clean and comfortable, I especially enjoyed the ability to sit on the balcony outside in the evening. The beach was within walking distance, and was very nice. Within the hotel was a wonderful Tapas and Wine Bar, as well as a coffee shop and restaurants. We visited them all! No need to go out looking for something good to eat. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was amazing!!! the staff was friendly and very helpful. It is close to the strip where you will find many restaurants, souvenir shops, 24hr pharmacy, and so much more! It is a 3 min walk to the beach which is absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

The hotel is nice, parking is cheap if you rent a car, lots of restaurants and fast food in walking distance (some right across the street) and very good food in the hotel's 3 restaurants. The best part of my stay was my experience with staff. From the receptionist when we arrived to the bellman who carried down 8 suitcases when we left , every single staff member we came in contact with was wonderful, friendly, and so willing to help! We will be back soon.

is in walking distance to the beaches, fast foods and nightlife activities, it has a car rental on site. there are different types of restaurants onsite. great ,great place to stay. this was my first and I really like the services that was render to me. The staff are fantastic.

My 1st stay wasn't pleasant at all, the room assigned was on the ground level, but far from reception. My room was so small and the wood bed-frame was so BIG that I hardly had space to walk around. BUT the biggest complain has to do with the horrible smell (humidity) throughout the entire room!! The carpet felt dirty, only 1 (one) lamp worked and the bed/pillows were super hard. My recommendation? Upstairs rooms are better, but consider other hotels before staying there. Sorry Verdanza

Great Hotel, Very Friendly and Helpful Staff, Convenient Loation but horrible internet connectivity in the rooms. Wifi and Wired internet both very slow with spotty connections.

I was on a business trip and I couldn't connect to internet. The room was very umid and no amenities, not even the soap for the shower. Very disappointing for the prices paid, Service very slow and room in a very inconvenient location for the transport of the luggages. Over all I will not return there.

Could,nt have been better.Not a thing wrong or unprofessional.Everyone helpful & polite,great location,plenty of hot water ect...Menus all good at restuarants.

The people were the best but I had to move from room to room almost 3 times with problems with mold, air condition and toilet problems. Beautiful hotel with a lot of restaurants and a bar.

My family and I traveled to Puerto Rico to visit our daughter who lives across the street from the Verdanza Hotel, and we were so pleased with every aspect of this facility. It has the appointments of an elegant historic hotel, with the contemporary amenities that travelers need. It was close to everything important in San Juan, including a five minute trip to the airport, and the staff were fluent in both English and Spanish, and made every effort to keep us comfortable. We will stay there again in the future and highly recommend it.

Our cruise was booked for a Sunday, so we stayed Saturday overnight. The room was plain, but clean. The staff treated us like family, very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. The outside of hotel does look like as nice as the inside is. The Christmas decorations added to the atmosphere. The pool grounds were absolutely beautiful, landscaping was great. The food at the restaurants in the hotel were both great - Puerto Rican food and Asian, as well as reasonably priced (if your from NY). We were thinking of spending next Christmas at the hotel with the family... we'll see. A great place to stay.

Gorgeous. Amazing pool and garden area. Comfortable rooms and restaurants in the same building. Be sure to check out Galluzzo bistro Cafe just down the street as well. The shower portion of the bathroom was very tiny.

I know this hotel before it was Verdanza, although I cannot remember the name anymore and I loved it, so I continued staying there after it got bought over. However, there have been no improvements in the rooms. the carpet was dirty and the room needs some work. The first night I stayed there, the bathroom leaked badly from the room above me....pretty GROSS.... but the staff are so friendly and courteous....

Nice lobby. Room musty as if not aired for a while. Close to restaurants, beach and airport.

We had problems with the room that the hotel originally gave us. The room was near the pool but it was dirty and the toilet wouldn't flush. We changed the room and after that it was excellent!!!!

The room was supposed to have LAN internet, Our connection was not working, so they gave us a room poolside. It was better than my orig room. Would def come back to this hotel. The staff is very accommodating.

Poolside rooms need to be redone - black mold on walls - carpet mildewy should be replaced with tile - no cross ventilation on bottom floor - wished I'd stayed at embassy next door.

NEED MORE SECURITY AT THE PARKING LOT , THEY STOLE THE REAR MIRRO OF MY CAR DURING THE NIGHT . tHE PARKING IS VERY DARK , NO SECURITY AT ALL

I've stayed at the Verdanza several times since their renovation and have been very happy. Very clean and great location - two blocks from beach and 5 min to the airport. 10 min by taxi to Condado area. The new wine bar in the lobby is wonderful. Two good restaurants in the hotel are convenient. Great value for the money! No casino but you can walk next door to the Embassy Suites if gambling is your thing. I'm returning in January and will definitely stay at the Verdanza.

This hotel was very close to the airport (cost about $13 in a cab to get there). Our room was very clean and comfortable. All of the facilities were clean and modern. We were only 2 blocks from the beach and the pool area at the hotel was nice. The hotel was located in a resort area so expect lots of tourists and surrounding hotels. We suggest to eat at Metropol (about 4-5 blocks away) the food was great, but the food at the hotel was also very good. There was a car rental place in the lobby of the hotel which made it very convenient to rent a car (driving around puerto rico is very easy). They also had a lot of activities they could set you up to do, but I would suggest arranging activities on your own to save some money. The hotel adds a fee. Overall this was a great hotel and we would definitely stay there again. Our only complaint was that there was no ceiling fan in the rooms so even though the rooms stayed cool, it felt damp. This could also just be because we were on a tropical island, but not sure since this was our first time in puerto rico.

I stayed twice (rebooked for aug.19, 2011, and I was satisfied with the service. I would stay again should I have to travel in the future.

Excellent!!

There are pros and cons to staying in this hotel, and ultimately, it was a pleasant stay. Check in was easy and convenient, and they even allowed us to have a late check out the next day. There are both chain and local restaurants close by, so eating is generally never going to be a problem. The only restaurant that we ate at in the hotel was the 8020 bistro. It was average, and the service there was pretty slow. Getting drinks to take to the pool from there was a bit more time consuming than I'd have liked. The staff was very nice there, though. The bar staff and manager at Coladas were some of the nicest people I have met, and were very helpful, as well as accomodating when we were hanging out in their bar. The only things that got on my nerves about the hotel were these... On the first night we arrived, we had a non working phone in our room. They sent someone to repair it, but it did not get fixed, they just brought us a new phone, which also didn't work. They said they were going to prepare a different room for us, with a working phone, but they never let us know. Honestly it didn't matter, as we were already settled, and just dealt with not having a phone in the room. The other thing was that the privacy sign on the door seemed to not matter, as the maid would knock on the door 2 or 3 times every morning. Otherwise, the rest of the hotel staff was great. The hotel was clean, as was the pool and all of the restaurants. The beach bike taxi seemed as if it were only available on Sat and Sun., which wasn't even that big of a deal, cause it's only about 2 blocks away. They also have the tour guide desk, which will arrange any tour you want to go on, which is also helpful. They day we left, we had a late afternoon flight, and allowed us to keep our bags behind the desk, at no cost. If you want to save money, there is a grocery store about a 5 min walk away, as well as a walgreens. A taxi to Old San Juan was 15 bucks or so, and was a 15 minute trip, so everything is

This was the first time I visited Puerto Rico. Staffs of the hotel were very helpful and courteous especially Hector of front desk and Gladys of concierge.

Not too bad. We staed there because the children enjoyed the pool. The beds are not confortable. staff helpful and friendly.

Great service. Quaint environment. Convenient location. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Convenient to the San Juan Airport and yet walking distance to the beach and only 10 min taxi to Old San Juan. 1 block to Isla Verde St for shopping and restuarants. Very clean. Lobby has a new wine tasting bar in addition to a full bar and several restaurants. If bkfast is not included count on $20 p/p including taxes and tip. Bed was very confortable. For the money, you cant beat the value and location. Oh yes, taxi from / to airport is $12

From a scale from 1 to 10 and 10 being the best I will definitely rate this hotel a 10 Plus. The customer service is awesome from the simple things as someone always ready to open the entrance door for you and greeting you, providing the daily newpaper in English at the lobby, the courtesy Passion ice treat to remind you that you have just arrive to the Caribeean Island. Verdanza provides each guest with a brochure of the history and the meaning of the hotel's name. Let's not forget their beautiful garden if you want some quiet place to mediate and enjoy the sun. I spend 4th of July 2011 in this hotel and they had a variety of food by the pool, latin music creating a nice ambiance for their hotel guest. I will definitely being staying again during my next vacation.

Though the staff were awesome, the hotel rooms badly need a "facelift". My room had cracked paint, stained grout in the bathtub surround which made it look dirty and rust around the bottom of the bathroom door and up the frame. I would still go back to the Verdanza because of reasonable cost and its great staff....especially the Valet staff.

We have visited Isla Verde several times and this was the best hotel we have stayed in. Can't beat the price especially with all the amenities. Even though this is not directly on the beach, it is a short walk and our room had a very nice ocean view. The pool area was awesome and the beach is the nicest stretch on Isla Verde. Location is great and you can walk to everything - no need for a car. Will definitely stay again. We liked it so much we extended our trip and stayed 2 more nights!

We loved this hotel so much that we decided to stay 2 more nights. They were able to keep us in the same room which had a great view of the ocean. Amenities were great and the location perfect in Isla Verde.

I thought the hotel was nice and clean. I thought the paint and carpet was a little out dated. The bathroom was a little small but overall the hotel was nice. I do have a problem with paying for parking. However, I know that is the norm in Puerto Rico.

Comfortable room, nice clean pool and jacuzzi. Hotel has four restaurants which include an International Bistro, Asian Bistro, Puerto Rican Cuisine, and a wine and tapas bar. Really no reason to leave the hotel if you're there to relax and take a break from it all. Would recommend to anyone.
