Friendly,good breakfast,will return.Perfect location with shuttle service

This location was great, as promised for arrivals and departures from Amsterdam. Travel by free minivan was very good. Travel to downtown was interupted by a highspeed train crash the night before so this was not as easy as it could have been, but doable. The minivan drivers were great and very helpful, this service is truely free and they will take you back and forth to he airport on a very regular time schedule. We were only one day in Amsterdam and it suited us well. If we had planned to be in the city longer we probably would have stayed closer to downtown. That being said, we were out and away from some of the people problems.

A fully stocked fridge would've been nice. Loved the underground parking.

Really nice hotel with nice design and VERY nice breakfast buffet! Easy to get into city with shuttle bus to the airport.

Even though it is not located in the city, with the connivence of the free hotel shuttle which takes you to/from the airport (which is also the train station) there is only a 15-20 minute train ride (about 7,40euro per person ROUND TRIP) and you are right in the heart of the city. The hotel is also beautiful, very clean, and the beds are like a cloud. The staff is so nice and very helpful. There is a nice restaurant and a sports bar (fair prices) right in the lobby. Room service is also very delicious and again reasonable prices. The one thing that was a bit confusing was that when using the tv it says you pay once for all channels, but that is only for the DAY. but that's the worse thing i found, which i would say isnt a major problem. The hotel is also very safe and secure! you must use your room key to be able to press your floor number. Gave a very comforting and safe feeling. Also after a certain time at night you must use your room key to get into the lobby. STAY HERE!!!

Very pleased with the comfort and accommodations this hotel has to offer.Close to airport without all the airport noise. Shuttle leaves often so it is easy to get around. This is my hotel of choice in Amsterdam. I will stay here again.

The Dorint is a nice hotel but let down by poor service: 1) Receptionist not helpful or forthcoming with information about my stay 2) Wifi was dreadfully slow and impossible to use for remote work 3) Mini bar empty

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here as we prepared to leave Holland after a week long Rhine Cruise. While the hotel is well out of the city center, it can be easily accessed by taxi or shuttle train from the airport itself. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food in both of the restaurants we ate were was excellent and the service as well. Will stay again if we ever return to Amsterdam.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very professional. The hotel has a very convenient and frequent free airport shuttles twice an hour, or a shuttle to the city center (for a fee). The room was comfortable, warm and clean. If you venture out to the gym there is a good selection to work with. Also, the complimentary breakfast selection is amazing!

Hotel was bright and clean and shuttle service to/from airport was quick and reliable. Was a little hectic some mornings because of all the tour groups leaving but otherwise quiet and very comfortable

This hotel was quite nice and offered a couple of restaurants on site. The only way the hotel could offer you a way to the centre of Amsterdam was by a 7 Euro per person shuttle/ cab. It's cheaper and much easier to take a round trip train ride from Central Station to the airport and then have our hotel shuttle pick us up from there and bring us back. All and all this was a lovely property.

The airport shuttle was very convenient, as well as the location of the hotel. Staff very helpfull. The room was very luxurious and clean. No noise from airport.

Everything about the Hotel was very good, except the cost of the breakfast brunch was $26 Euros/person. Very excessive with no other options in the area.

Free shuttle bus between airport and hotel every 30 minutes, driver is friendly and helpful. Hotel is 15 minute ride from the airport, nice view between airport and hotel. Very good impression to the lobby and the reception staffs are very friendly and efficient. Room is roomy and clean, free coffee and tea, free internet access and signal is strong too. Bathroom is large and bright, and I like the big sink and bathtub, that make looks grand. Carpet is clean and looks very new. Table is big enough to work on and a comfort sofa too. This hotel should rate 5 stars, Highly recommend.

I wish our other hotels were as nice. great breakfast but a little expensive. wifi was only really strong in the lobby.

The Dorint Airport Amsterdam Hotel is beautiful, efficient, comfortable, and features a free, punctual airport shuttle service. For the guest who needs proximity to Schiphol Airport and desires the pampering of heated bath floors, good restaurants, and contemporary design, this is the choice! We loved it!

This hotel is outstanding in every way. We stayed one night prior to an early departure from Schiphol airport. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and the service is really second to none. Friendly, smiling staff, willing to do anything to make you happy. I was very very impressed with the call to our room as soon as we arrived to ensure we were pleased with it and if we needed anything. The airport shuttle left exactly on time and was spacious and comfortable. The bus driver helped us load our luggage and when we got to the airport he quickly got a cart for us and loaded our luggage onto it. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and it was excellent in every way. The food was fine dining quality and delicious, the service again, outstanding with at least 2 servers looking after us. Very charming people. I wish all hotels were this good and well rounded. I will be sure to recommend this hotel to anyone I know travelling to the area. I felt I got good value as well because of the great deal on Hotels.com.

We had a great last night before flying out at the Dorint. The hotel is isolated and in a light industry area rather than at the airport or near shops, but it provides everything you could want. Great design, wonderful pool/spa area (just the thing for the day before a 20 hour flight), and a nice pub with good ale and reasonably priced and good food. They also have a restaurant, but I'll have to try that next time. Comfortable bed in a well designed room added to the general feeling that someone really cared about a traveller.

Not so cheap, but rooms are great. Free internet, but breakfast not included!

Awesome hotel! It was everything and more that my husband and I expected. The airport shuttle was always on time. The drivers were helpful, very polite, and genuinely concerned about getting people to their destination on time. The hotel's security was second to none! Room service was prompt and the food was delicious. When we return for an extended time or just passing through Amsterdam, we'll definitely choose the Dorint again.

The staff were helpful and the room was very comfortable with the added bonus that everything in teh room was produced sustainably. There was attention to detail throughout with the positibilty of renting an electric vehicle if desired. Nice bar, good breakfast (if a bit expensive), altogether a nice overnight stay. I would not hesitate to use the hotel again if in the area.

Excellent value for money if you take advantage of their early booking rate. Had a decent, simple meal in the café/bar. Fancier dining aldso available. Pleasant and friendly staff.

If you want to stay at a airport hotel, in Amsterdam, check out the Hilton, or Sheraton. They are airport hotels with walking access to your terminal, or the train to Central Station. The Dorint Hotel, presented as a airport hotel, was a major fiasco. The hotel is actually on "airport" property, only it is a 20-minute bus ride from the airport terminal. The buses run every 30-minutes, and stop at 2345 hours. That means a 25 euro taxi ride from the airport terminal to your "airport hotel" at 0100 hours. If you want convenient access to the airport, or if you want to catch a train to the city, then do not stay at the Dorint Hotel at the "airport".

At the airport but not near the runways. Very clean and modern. The perfect Hotel for transfers. Shuttle to and from the airport and to downtown Amsterdam.

This actually was the best hotel I stayed at during my 4 weeks in Europe. It was fantastic in every aspect. The room was great, the staff was great, the food was great, and the rate was great. The one comment I would make is that although the hotel is only a 10 minute shuttle ride to the airport (and the hotel offers free shuttles to and from the airport), if you are interested in exploring Amsterdam central, it is not a convenient place to be. To get the city central, we took the shuttle to the airport, then took the train into Amsterdam central, and then hopped on the tram to get around from there. It was a bit of a journey. A taxi into the city from the hotel was about 35 euros - which was pretty steep. The hotel advertises that it offers a shuttle into the city, but it is not free and is only offered a few times a day. But if the intent is to stay close to the airport, or if you have other means of getting into the city, it is an ideal hotel.

Excellent facility prior to boarding a flight home! Everything was excellent right down to the room service and the delicious food at reasonable prices.

We stayed there for one night prior to return to the State. It was closer to Schiphol airport and it suited us. I thoughjt the rate was bit high and the breakfast was too expensive for our taste. we were unable to book a hotel with breakfast. The breakfast price came seperatly from room rate. If I need to transfer via Amsterdam, i will chose this hotel again. Free shuttle service was insentive in Europe.

Typical 4 star major airport hotel. Free shuttle to airport every half hour and frequent train service to downtown so location is handy. Only breakfast option is pricey buffet, no other restaurants nearby so jump on the bus and eat at the airport. Lovely room, very comfortable and modern.

I was just there overnight between flights at Schiphol Airport. The hotel was quite nice and very modern in its design and very easy to get to. I would recommend it even though the shuttle bus driver left me standing in the Lobby causing me to wait 30 minutes for the next trip to the airport.

I would recommend this hotel to others travellers. The room was nicely decorated, clean, quiet, and had adequate space compared to other European hotels. There is a small but nice exercise room. Two restaurants that were both good. The shuttle service is convenient and a very short drive to the airport (AMS). The hotel staff was polite but not overly knowledgeable about Amsterdam. Overall, a very good hotel at a reasonable price if you are looking for good quality.

We had a forced overnight in Amsterdam, and even though we planned to explore Amsterdam, we decided to stay by the airport. This was a very good choice. We took the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Checked-in, washed up, and set out for the city. We could have taking the free shuttle back to the airport and take the train into Amsterdam, but as our time was limited we asked Guest Services for alternatives. He suggested taking a taxi into the city, gave us an estimated amount, and call the taxi for us. The hotel is very nice. The room is large and has many practical built-ins. The ironing board slides out from the cabinet. The kettle is attached to a sliding shelf so you can pull it out to boil water. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and another by the dressing table. Bathroom floor is heated. As an additional touch, the bathroom mirrors are heated to prevent fogging during showers. There is also a sliding door which divides the sleeping area from the bathroom and closets so that you can shower without bother the sleeping. All in all, this was a very well thought out hotel, and the service was very helpful.

The hotel was a little ways from the airport, but there is a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were nice, free internet and there is a 24 hour restaurant which is a plus. I would recommend people to stay here only if they want to be close to the airport for their flights. Otherwise, if you are looking to spend time in the city center stay somewhere closer to Central Station

We had a lovely stay (2 nights) in April. The room was clean and fully equiped, the staff were friendly. The only concerns were that my printed booking indicated that breakfast was included, but the hotel staff insisted it wasn't and they wanted to charge us EUR 52 (for 2 people). We politely declined and got breakfast at Schipol. The shuttle service to and from Schipol airport is punctual.

Rooms are ++ comfortable, restaurant is amazing, food delicious and well presented. Staff very courteous and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Very expensive breakfast buffet for what you got

This is my favorite hotel when I have a stopover at Schiphol or in the Netherlands for that matter. It's simple to get to from Schiphol (free shuttle), the rooms are comfortable and clean, free internet, good service, etc, etc. But the kicker is their gym / "spa". It's the best I've had in Holland and quite possibly Europe. Great cardio machines, weight machines, free-weights. The Sauna and Steamroom are also awesome and just what I usually need before / after a long flight. As a frequent business traveler, I rarely use the word "great" to describe a hotel as there is usually something that I find troublesome about a hotel but honestly, the Dorint is great.

I stay here often and love it. Very convenient, very clean, great service, etc.
