Booked this hotel on the basis of the quality of a hotel in the same chain in Malaga. This place is stylish, if a bit self consciously so. The first thing you notice when you enter the lobby is the jazz style music, playing to entertain what appears to be just the staff, as there is no one else there. The open stairwell and the lack of adequate sound proofing means the music permeates into your room whether you want it or not. This is probably my main criticism of the hotel. The other mate hotel we stayed in had double doors to insulate the room from interior noise, and impressive street side glazing to keep out street noise-this hotel had neither, so the sleep quality was poor.

Modern hotel with friendly Reception staff and clean rooms. Quite a central location.

Hotel is great and the staff are very friendly - good breakfast for 6.50euros. Very centrally located with good shops and nice surrounding area - go read your book in the rose garden, the fragrances are amazing!

Rosa, receptionist at, at Room Mate Lola saved my and my wife's butts when fronted us the money to pay our cab driver after we had some ATM Euros. We couldn't thank her enough. After check-in the good experience continued. A clean, well-appointed (and interestingly--but attractively--decorated) room and free WiFi (technically only in the downstairs common area, which included a laptop for free use, but it reached Room 103 fine) kept us happy. The breakfast buffet was of the "Continental" style but appropriately priced and the included self-serve appreciated was much-appreciated. The location was also perfect, within a short walk of both the city center and the port. My only criticism is that the white faux-leather furniture in the common areas, while attractive from a distance and clean, was in slightly poor repair, with cracks and bare spots. They should look into having these reupholstered soon. All of the in-room furniture, however, was pristine, so this gripe is minor. In conclusion, Room Mate Lola made our first night in Spain comfortable and stress-free. We'd definitely stay there again.

Hotel is very modern and is in an excellent condition. Rooms are spacious. Staff is very helpful. Free Internet. Walking distnace to main entertaiment and shopping areas. Close to airport, port and train station. Excellent expireance overall,

We wanted a centrally located hotel in central Malaga, and of a good standard. Room Mate Lola fulfilled our requirements and was ideally situated just 3 small streets (1 minute) off the main city thoroughfare Alameda Principal. Furthermore its location was very quiet - no traffic or people noise overnight. The hotel seems quite new with very modern accommodation. Ideal as a base or for a short business trip. With only about 50 rooms, it does not have facilities such as a swimming pool or health club, which was not a prerequisite for us at this time of year (September). Would certainly stay there again.

This is an excellent establishment. We have stayed twice now and both times have had a very pleasant stay.

The hotel was centrally located although the immediate surroundings were not really appropriate for families with young children. There were several sex shops very nearby. However, for a younger travel who likes modern furnishings, this hotel is perfect. The staff were very helpful.

Hello, For second time we visit this beutiful hotel. Good location, nice and helpful staf, nice and quiet room, very fresh cleaning. Breakfast buffe is superb. We do really recomend this hotel. We visit in july 2009 and 2010 and ill visit it again.

The hotel was extremely clean, comfortable and well run. Although we had a problem with the air conditioning in our room, it was changed without any fuss and we were upgraded to a suite for the remainder of our stay. Close to the centre of Malaga, it was an ideal choice of venue and location. We felt completely safe and comfortable in the area and overall, we had a fantastic long weekend in Malaga. I would recommend this hotel without question.

Room Lola Mate offered a very modern approach in a romantic old part of town. The hotel was exceptionally clean cut although there lacked a slight personal feel because of it. That said, the staff were first class and spoke very good English which alas, was important as one's Spanish is akin to that used by Del Boy. The bedrooms were neat, sophisticated and aimed at the mid-range traveller. The bathroom was spacious and the shower marvellous. The breakfast, continental and not to my personal taste, was relatively expansive in choice and open until a reasonable time for those late in rising. The hotel offers a very attractive location and is suitably tucked away from the main drag to evade the noise of traffic but equally in touching distance of the town's thoroughfares. The only slight downside was the lack of a hotel bar and amenities. Nevertheless a very good proposition for a brief sojourn.

My friend and I went to Malaga for the fayre and could not believe our luck when we arrived at the hotel, we expected nothing like it for the price we paid. The whole hotel is modern and spotlessly clean which included our room which was brilliant with a lovely big bathroom. The staff were all lovely, relaxed and friendly. Breakfast was a delicious buffet of cold meats, cheeses, pastrys, fresh toast, fruit and juices, with freshly ground coffee all served in stylish, clean surroundings, the best thing being it was served until 12 noon giving us a lovely lie in after partying the night away. We had just a 5 min walk across the road to the very centre of the city and a lovely 15 min walk through the park to the beach. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel which are a chain thoughout Spain and also have one in New York and Mexico! Perfect.

very modern, clean, delicious breakfast included, excellent and informative staff. Location was a little shakey in the evening.

Great, very trend hotel but in an area full of sex shops and some girls on the game (as a sinlge female however I did not feel threatened). Only real fault was the breakfast - how can a Spanish hotel provide stale coffee that tastes of cardboard and watery tasteless Spanish omelette. Also hate it when hotels aimed at adults only provide kids breakfast cereals - some muesli would not have gone amiss.

Hemos estado en este hotel tres noches, la estancia ha sido muy grata, el personal muy amable y el desayuno correcto. Está muy bien situado y la zona es muy tranquila. Si volvemos a Málaga volvería a ir a este hote. El único inconveniente que hemos encontrado es que en la habitación hacia un poco de calor y el aire acondicionado estaba desconectado puesto que era invierno.

Trevlig personal engelskspråkig, rent fräscht rum, parkerings garage i källaren mot avgift. Frukostbuffen serveras fram till 12 så nice sovmorgon, på frukosten serveras yogurt i små förpackningar, juice, bröd som du kan rosta själv, kaffe o the ur maskin, 3 olika köttpålägg, valnötter som du själv knäcker, krossad tomat o olivolja, musli o russin, kakor av div. slag o omelett gjord på potatis. Litet kylskåp på rummet där yogurt o lite annat får plats. Mycket centralt nära till allt. Hann se väldigt mycket på 4 dagar. Nöjd :)

Loistava sijainti ja iloinen henkilökunta, olimme 5 vrk ja olimme todella tyytyväisiä hotelliin. Hyvä aamiainen, kahvia,mehua,leipää ja hedelmiä. Tarpeeksi täyttävä ja maittava. Lähellä keskustaa,muttei keskustan hulinassa. Metro lähellä millä pääsi Fuengriolaan ja Plaza Majoriin kätevästi. Suosittelen todella tätä hotellia! Siisti ja ihanan moderni!

Mit dem Room Mate Lola begann unsere Rundreise durch Spanien. Das beste Hotel unserer insgesamt 8 Stationen. Die Ausstattung, der Service, die Sauberkeit, die Lage... - in all diesen Kriterien konnte das Hotel ohne Einschränkungen überzeugen. Wir würden dieses Hotel immer weiterempfehlen!

Dejligt hotel med beliggenhed tæt på alt, og alligevel i rolige omgivelser, ingen generende trafikstøj. Lækker morgenbuffet. Serviceminded receptionspersonale.

Var bare en natt og har lite grunnlag. Greitt byhotell. Kanskje litt kjølig og vel mye designpreget.

Nytt och trevligt hotell med snygg design, bra och komfortabla rum med bra sängar. Läget är bra och närliggande kvarter OK. Absolut inget att klaga på, kan med fördel rekommenderas !!

Detta fyrstjärniga hotell ger valuta för pengarna. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal, nära till centrum och shopping, bra frukostbuffé både för den som vill ha lite mer nyttig frukost och för den som gillar munkar och annat flottigt. Frukost serveras till klockan 12. Inredningen och rummen är trendig om än lite slitet här och där, det beror dock på den spanska byggtekniken och den mindre bra kvalitet på möblerna. Detta vägs dock upp utav den trevliga personalen och att hotellet känns hemtrevligt och på att städning och service är mkt bra. Att gå till shoppinggatan tar ca en kvart och havet når man på 5-10 minuter. Missa inte att gå upp för Gibralfaro och titta på den härliga utsikten.

Flott, ryddig hotell. Store, fine rom. Meget sentralt og samtidig relativt fredelig plassert. Fin frokost. En meget positiv opplevelse. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

me encanto el hotel,muy limpio,la decoracion muy buena,calefaccion excelente,servicio muy bueno

Hotel de diseño moderno, tranquilo por su situación a la vez que muy céntrico. Empleados muy amables.Atención muy buena. Desayuno muy bien, sobre todo el horario que se ajusta muy bien a los no madrugadores ya que está servido hasta las doce de la mañana. Las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas y la televisión es de dimensión algo reducida. En resumen, siempre que vuelva a Málaga volveré a este hotel.

El Room Mate Lola está tan bien como siempre. Se ha convertido en mi hotel de referencia cuando viajo a Malaga. Buena calidad a buen precio.
