The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not in the heart of the town but easy walk to train, beach, and food.

The hotel was outstanding. The view from our balcony of the Bay of Naples and surrounding areas was terrific. The room was a USA 5 star. Thinking of going back to hotel for another visit. Best hotel and area for out 2 week vacation in Italy.

The location is ok. Our room is clean and comfortable. It is slightly smaller than those of other 4-star hotels we stayed during our trip. The staff is friendly and courteous. But they denied my room change request. Yes, it costs extra 100 euros for a room with a view. But it's off-peak season, there are plenty of empty rooms. Why not give your guests a pleasant surprise? It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Breakfast is reasonable. I wish they had fresh fruits, just like most other 4-star hotels we stayed.

My family and I stayed at the Continental for 3 nights at the beginning of April 2013. The hotel has a great location with sea views and is close to shopping and restaurants in a quieter part of Sorrento. The pool is HUGE, though too cold for swimming while we were there. While we were there I injured myself coming down Mt. Vesuvius. The hotel arranged for an English-speaking doctor to come to our room and treat my injury. They also allowed us to stay well past checkout time at no cost while we waited for the doctor. They then had a taxi waiting to quickly take us to the pharmacy and then to the Sorrento train station so we didn't miss our connection in Naples. We've found that customer service in Europe can be spotty, but in this case it was spot on. Thank you to the wonderful Continental employees.

Excellent!!!

Fabulous. Great location near numerous excellent restaurants and sights. Only slightly negative comment: coffee needs upgrading and small coffee cups that can't be held with thumb and index finger. Service is excellent and hotel is spotless. Friendly and helpful staff.

Would highly recomend this hotel!

Nice dated hotel. Great location. Beach mot usable due to sun not getting there. Beds were hard and not comfortable. Only stayed one night so it served its purpose, but could probably do a bit better for the same price

Giovani is the best bartender! Extremely knowledgable and helpful. It was our first trip to the area and he really helped.

Giovanni, Franco, Antonio, and Totino were excellent. The hotel is fortunate to have these people on staff. Everyone is so helpful. We met several people during our seven night stay who have been coming back to this hotel since 1988. We will definitely be going back to this hotel on future travels. Close proximity to shopping and travel makes this an ideal location. The views are excellent. I can't say enough good things about the times we shared with people during our stay.

The hotel was a bit tired ie old dirty balcony chairs, ancient tv. The breakfast was very poor and the staff smiling but false. Everything seemed to be a problem ( ice for the room, plates and knives to eat fruit etc) The view is spectacular and the position is convenient to the town. I would only stay again if the rate was low. There are much better hotels on offer at similar prices.

Bed was rock solid, lots of noise in the mornings, location great .... Sorrento - Lovely

Four star hotel that did not live up to expectations. Location is excellent with most rooms having partial water views and excellent size. Beds were too firm and uncomfortable and the king bed is made up of two double beds pushed together. The space between the two mattresses could be felt. Staff was friendly but not extremely helpful with regards to restauarant recommendations or activities to do with the kids. They tried to push their own restaurant first as well as an overpriced tour to Capri. In order to access the beach, you have to take an elevator three stories down and one of the hotel personel tried to charge us 3 euros per person for an "all day" pass when in essence we come to find that it is included as part of your stay. The only charge is to use the chair and umbrella service at the beach. The location and views are the saving grace to this hotel as well as the space if you are traveling with children. The included breakfast is also a plus.

Helpful staffs. Around 20 mins walk from Train station. 10 mins walk from pier.

The hotel was exceptional. Great service. Beautiful pool. Room was spacious and clean and loved the balcony.Close to restaurants and shopping. All within 10 min. walk. Loved it and will return.Thanks for a great time.

Wonderful Hotel, great location, soft beds, AC worked, Clean and inviting. This hotel is right in front of a public park, which offers a great view of the bay, palm trees, and comfortable park benches. The breakfast was very good, hotel staff was helpful and attentive. The location of this hotel puts it right in the middle of where we wanted to be; between the Grande Marina and main sites in Sorrento.

Hotel Continental in Sorrento is in a great location, close to the centre. Worth paying extra for a sea view. Staff friendly & professional. Breakfast good. Nice swimming pool. All in all a great place to stay.

At the moment of booking on Hotels.com, the room for 3 people i rented was advertised as the one with Seaview and balcony. I booked it, never looked into the receipt, which turned out to be just a room for 3, no sea view, tiny as a closet, dark, 3rd bed being almost broken, complete shocker. There was a balcony, looking into the roof of another building that you would not want to go to. After unsuccessfully trying to reach hotels.com on roaming phone (people that picked up the phone after listening our explanations transferred us to another company in London (financial firm?), so after 15 mins of trying we gave up on hotels.com), paid extra to the Hotel and were transferred to a nice size room on a 3rd floor with Balcony and Sea view (what i think was originally advertised on hotels.com). That room was comfortable enough for 3 people, with big bathroom, magnificent view of the bay. Hotel has lift going down to the beach (have to pay for everything but very good), pool is large, clean and excellent, town center very close, very convenient, breakfast decent. My advise - get the room with sea view and you will be a happy camper, but always look at confirmation from hotels.com.

The hotel was great for that area. One of the things should be looked into and corrected is the access of internet. It was confusing and took quite a bit of time to to be able to use it. If you pay for the hour it might take you that much time to get on with it.

We were truly pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were in a junior suite at the hotel, which was perfect. It provided extra room, and we had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the piazza. The room was exceptionally clean and well-decorated. The only negative was the mattress, which wasn't the most comfortable, but wasn't bad, either. The hotel staff was very friendly and service was exceptional. The breakfast provided was quite good (compared to most of our other Italian experiences), as well. It's a nice location, a bit quieter, but very close to all of the Sorrento shops and restaurants, as well as a private beach area.

We felt that the breakfast buffet was not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel. This was our 15th trip to europe so feel qualified to comment. The scrambled eggs were very unappetizing. The only fresh fruit was was watermelon(looked like cut the day before) other whole fruit not ripe. The croissants and bread did not seem fresh. We ate the cold cereal and yogurt.

I am just back from an amazing stay at the Continental. The location, food, service and rooms were all excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sorrento. The hotel is just off the main square with a beautiful garden in front and great views over the bay. There is also a lift to the beach and port below.

Utmärkt läge nära piazzan och alla restauranger och trevlig hjälpsam betjäning. Dock något lyhört och obekväma hårda sängar. Positivt med rena handdukar varje dag. Inbjudande pool i skyddat läge. Hade gärna stannat längre.

Veldig flott hotell. Ansatte har meget gode engelskkunnskaper. Godt frokost. Eneste minus er at det er ingen filmkanaler og sengen er noe hard.

Hotellet ligger på en klippe over stranden. Innvendig heis ned til strand og båt til Capri. Få minutters gange til sentrum. Utrolig vennlig og imøtekommende betjening. Stort, flott basseng. Nydelig frokost. Store, komfortable rom. Skinnende rent over alt. Anbefales på det varmeste!

Ett mycket centralt hotel som har havsutsikt! Pool på baksidan och garage som personalen gärna hjälper till med parkering och hjälper dig med väskor. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell :)

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. The staff was fantastic and very helpful - our highest grade to them. Food The breakfast was really good but we never tried the dinner because we wanted to go down town. Pool area The hotel management should really address the pool area and especially the sun beds - old and many were broken. Easy fix but valuable for us as guests. Services to improve Free WIFI. Our tip to you Pick a room with a sea view - it's worth the extra money

Hotel bom mas com pouco luxo. Perfeito para passar 02 a 03 noites . Serviço de café da manhã rigido ao horario de fechamento . Pessoal educado e com bom atendimento na recepção. Muito bom para quem chega de carro. Boa localização para quem pega o Barco de transporte a ILHA DE CAPRI. Perto do centro de Sorrento pode andar a pé tranquilhamente.

Vi bodde på Continental under vår bröllopsresa till Sorrento och Capri. Rummen var urtjusiga och utsikten otrolig. Personalen var trevlig och mat & dryck till belåtenhet. Enda minuset var att man fick betala inträde till stranden nedan samt att det var rätt lyhört. Överlag var vi dock jättenöjda!

Det gode hotel med den meget velholdte store pool og adgang med elevator til strand kan absolut anbefales. Ligger i en rolig, grøn del af byen med mange restauranter tæt på. Gå afstand til busholdeplads og station på 15 min.

Ett mycket bra hotell i Sorrento, med bra service och lite gammal engelsk stil. Det enda som är lite dåligt är badstranden som inte direkt inbjuder till bad och dessutom kostar en hel del.

Very nice hotel and lovely location!

Muy buen servicio, nos han tratado de maravillas y esta muy bien ubicado. Lo unico que hay que acordarse es que si van con auto hay que reservar el parking ya que el hotel cuenta con pocos espacios!

Mycket bra läge, snygga rum, trevlig personal med service känsla. Återkommer gärna. Enda nackdel hårda sängar.
