Good hotel. Convenient location. Decent breakfast buffet. Super close to metro stops - Sevilla (right outside the door),Sol, Banco de Espana. Only negatives are that you can hear everything going on in the hallways and the mattresses are VERY firm (though this may not be a negative for some).

Everything was great with the hotel, except the bed. It was terrible. It was very hard with a large lump in the middle and a dip near the feet. Only time I have ever awoken with a back ache. All else was good, but beware the beds.

The Hotel is located two blocks away from Puerta del Sol Plaza, we walked to all the must see places,good breakfast,very clean Hotel and appropiate for kids.

Our first room was tiny and dark with no window. It felt like a dungeon, despite the modern fixtures. The bathroom was fabulous, but the rest of the room was depressing. The WiFi was so slow as to be unusable. They could not provide adaptors for the electrical outlets (and the "universal" ones we carried didn't work). The elevator was large enough only for 2 friendly people. Our second room was better -- if you find yourself stuck here, ask for a room on an upper floor. I would not stay here again, despite its ideal location.

The hotel is perfect in every way:- cleanliness city centre location very comfortable room with modernisitc style very helpful staff laptop internet 32" flat screen tv retro-modern power shower room I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay in Madrid.

The girls at the reception are not very helpful for information. They don't smile often..... We did not see the elevator and brought the luggage by hand up in the stairs....they did not tell us......We did not very appreciate the stairs..... The rooms are very small and we had stairs to go to the bathroom, not very useful during the night....

I booked this hotel after canceling my hostel reservations. I had just come from a 3 week trip of staying in mediocre hostels, and this hotel provided the exact stay I was hoping for: a clean, secure, and comfortable experience. The whole hotel room was very clean, the bathroom was large, and the fact that they provide computer for personal use? Even better! It was close to La Puerta del Sol and right next to a metro station. If I ever find myself in Madrid again I will certainly be coming back here.

We are a family of 5 adults and spent a very comfortable night at the Petit Palace Alcala Torre in July. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and the free internet access at the computer station offered by the hotels was certainly helpful. This was an all around great experience.

Great place to explore the sights of Madrid. 2 minute walk to Peurto del Sol. Good breakfast buffet.

Had a comfortable stay at the Petit Palace located on Virgen de los Peligros, Madrid Es. My only grip with my stay was after checking in went out and returned to the room later that night the A/C was not working, room was warm called at 0830 to reportthe problem and was told maintanece person would be in at 0900 and would be sent to fix problem, went out for breakfast and toured some of the city when i returned at 1300 the A/C had not been fixed and the heat in the was unbearable, again reported the problem,was told it would be fixed within the hour went out and when returned was still not fuctioning, requested a room change and non where available. told the maintenace person had an ea/mergency at another hotel but would return and fix the A/C. finally fixed around 1700 told it was just a reseting of the A/C. other than that was pleased and would stay again without hesitation

Great hotel in a great part of town. Very clean and well serviced.... our room had a free lap top to use, and the staff were great. Parking is tricky in this part of town but that really isn't the hotels fault. Great value for money, would highly recomend!

The room was very comfortable, spacious, clean and well designed. Loved the in room laptop & wifi connection. Used the free safe. Our family's favorite hotel during our France & Spain trip. Excellent location, central to everything-we were able to walk to all of our destinations. Would defintiley stay here again and will look for other High-Tech Hotels in the future. Elevators are small and had to wait at check out time but preferred the high floor and view. Plenty of room for two adults and older kids, ages 20 & 14.

Very nice hotel, friendly stuff, great location in the center WiFi on site + laptop in the room if you don't carry one.

Can't believe some of the negative comments in earlier reviews. Sure the hotel is a boutique hotel but for a long weekend it's ideally situated, clean, polite staff, free wi-fi and handy for the historic sites of the old town. Room was small but comfortable and the aircon was easy to regulate. Fantastic shower only seen before in a four star. We didn't eat in so can't comment.

It is a good location, within walking distance of main sites, however, the hotel itself is very uncofortable. To begin with, you have to use an elevator to acces the hotel from the street, for your luggage. The 2 elevators inside the hotel are even smaller 3 people max. Rooms are TINY. I reserve a 3 person room and could not fit. Bathroom has no privacy at all. Will recomend only for couples.

close to all the must-see sight, activity, restaurant and only short walk from the airport shuttle. service is good, not the best. water and juice in the lobby is complementary. the room is clean but small. we book a non-smoking room, but only non-smoking room available are the petit room not the standard room that we reserved and paid for. the breakfast buffer is very good and worth the price.

Good location. Unfortunately, too much noise and smoke gets inside the rooms.

With the help of the staff and it's location, near Puerta del Sol, it was one othe best trips we have ha.

This hotel is literally on top of the Sevilla Metro stop. It's a 2 minute walk to Puerta del Sol. The location was pretty much ideal for our needs. We slept 4 adults in a room with a King and a bunk bed. The room was amply-sized and the beds fit us fine. I was surprised to find out that our entire floor consisted of 2 rooms. Our room had a fantastic view of the city. The room seemed to be recently renovated and was clean and modern. The bathroom, although clean and large, was a little goofy. The faucet on the sink barely reached over the edge of the basin and the shower took a time or two to figure out. Those are minor inconveniences, though. Our room had 3 windows, which opened up to the street. There were 2 layers of glass, though, which pretty much blocked all noise from outside. The staff, although not overly friendly, were generally helpful. I had zero issues with the service. The hotel offered little in the way of amenities. There was a breakfast joint on the 5th floor, which I never checked out. There was only one public restroom, which was a tiny thing just outside of the breakfast cafe. Overall, I was very pleased with this hotel. It more than met my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Central Madrid.

Hey, I took a small room to economize but somehow I didn't envision a column smack in the middle of this petit room. Not much upperend to this place.

Nice hotel in a good part of town and close to most things of interest in Madrid. Tiny 2 elevators and lines to use them. One person/one bag per lift. The room was very small and really tight considering we had two large bags. had to shimmy around things to move. No view. Bed comfortable and shower decent.

We stayed here one night on a recent visit. The location of this hotel can not be beat! It is steps from Plaza Mayor in Old Madrid. The overall experience we had was fine, not great, but fine. We were initially surprised by how small our room was, but once we got settled in, it didn't really bother us. The only thing that was a problem was the room was somewhat "stuffy". However, we were facing an inner courtyard type of space (nothing nice to look out - just walls and windows), but that let us keep our window cracked to let in fresh air as it was quiet. We also had to open the door to the hallway to create a breeze to make the room less stuffy. The bathroom was nice with a great full body shower head. The decor was fine - maybe they tried to hard to be "hip", but it was fine. The hotel has significant historic value and the staircase was amazing. There was an elevator and the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was nice as well. I would recommend this hotel but conditionally because of the room size and the "stuffiness" factor. One night was fine, but I wouldn't recommend for an extended stay. The neighborhood is delightful and we really enjoyed the easy access to dining, shopping and roaming around.

It's location is very good, one block from Puerta del Sol. The elevator is really small, don't be surprised. Free wi-fi and notebook in each room. it's a good hotel for the price. Breakfast is expensive and you can have breakfast around the hotel for a better price and quality. The only think we didn't like is that nobody help you with the lugagge. Beds are comfortable. Shower is A+, very good.

The location could not be better and the front desk was very helpful. The room was new and comfortably spacious and the free use of lap-top and internet is indeed customer-friendly and very thoughtful. I wil definitely recommend.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We asked for a room that could sleep 4 as we were travelling with our 2 kids. The room they gave us could sleep 6. A king bed, a queen bed and bunk beds. The room was modern and clean and had a laptop for us to check email, etc. The location is perfect too, being a couple of hundred feet from the Metro station, a 20 minute walk to the Prado, and 10 minutes to Plaza Del Sol with all the restaurants and bars. Plus it is right across the street from Starbucks for us addicted Americans. The staff were very willing to speak English and help with things to see and do. They have a very exyensive breakfast and were doing a 2 for one deal on it. Best part, unlimited capuccinos.

Very nice modern Hotel, good internet speeds, the room was a little small, but the shower was really nice!

We were very happy to see that this hotel was on the Plaza Mayor, only a 5 minute walk from our daughter's student apartment. However, it took forever to find it by car because it is located down a pedestrian street. Then we had to find a place to park the car and drag the suitcases to the hotel. Our room was on the top floor-in the rafters. Very difficult to get to (many steep steps) and very hot at first before the ac kicked in. We had a view on the Plaza Mayor but it was difficult to see-had to stand on a chair to look out. Breakfast was delicious.

The Petit Palace Alcala is not only at the heart of Madrid, but it is also at the center of all the action. It is a quick walk to anywhere worth seeing in the city and it should be commended for that. However the rooms leave a lot to be desired. They are small fit and cramped. Although they seem very clean, I could still find a cokroach on my first day, which was completely unnaceptable. There is definetly much oportunity for improvement in the service of this hotel.

I thought this hotel was great for the rate we paid. It was clean, friendly, and had great service. It was nice that each room has it's own personal laptop, along with the free wifi. The rooms are modern in design, but still very functional as well. The breakfast there was free when I stayed, and it was excellent! I saw a few reviews that were less than positive before I came, but, I also saw that the age range for those reviewers was above 40 years old. I myself am 25, and it more than met the needs of me and my wife. The hotel is located right next to the Sevilla metro station, so you can literally buy a metro pass and take it directly from the airport to the hotel. From there, the hotel is directly between great tourist spots such as the Plaza de Mayor, Palacio Real, and the Museo del Prado.

This hotel is in perfect location, if you are new to the area and no intention to rent a car.Everything is within walking distance, to shops, restaurants and plazas.The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.The size of the room is smaller than expected.We have the triple room and we have the quenn size bed and a bunk bed. The bathroom is roomy and I love the swedish shower. Towards the end of our stay there was a leak in the bathroom coming from the upper room which was fixed in a timely manner as soon as we reported it.If you plan to sleep in you will easily be awaken by the noise from the housekeepers.The free internet is definitely a plus.There's a starbucks and a chinese restaurant across the street. ATM machines are nearby.

This is a really great hotel, its about a 2 mins walk from the main bentre where all the shops are, and there are loads of restaurants around it too! Its very central to the main sights, everything is within a 15 min walk, its also a 30 second walk from the underground! Hotel was fab, although breakfast is not complimentry as it states this costs an extra 10euros a day which we thought was quite a rip off, other than that amazing hotel. we stayed on floor 11 and had amazing views of the whole of madrid, would defo recomend this hotel to anyone

Great place to stay, since it was only a few yards or minutes walk from most of the places to chill when in Madrid. I felt very safe heading back in the early hours, so would recommend it to single travellers. The room was a delight with the add bonus of a laptop, great for keep in contact with friends and family around the world as well as those in Madrid!!! Staff were very helpful too, pleasant and had a good knowledge of english, very helpful since my knowledge of spanish was zero!!! Only odd thing was the lifts,only had room for one person and a suitcase at a time!!! I would stay again if the deal was right

As my son said, it was a computer with three beds. What a great hotel chain, High Tech Hotels. The beds were comfortable, the rehab of old space into high tech space ingenious, the convenience of having an Internet-connected laptop in the room more useful than having a phone! The hotel offered the rare choice of a triple and at a very reasonable cost. The bathroom was great--the shower had two heads and two long side thingies that sprayed water at you. Very nice. Not a big room but big enough for my husband, myself and our 18-year-old son. The location was tremendous for access to Puerta del Sol and Gran Via. Walking to the Prado and Reina Sofia was no problem and we were at a Metro stop. Plaza Mayor was a brief walk, also. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bicycles are available to use. The lobby has some great comfy and stylish furniture as well as a self-help beverage bar with a machine that makes great cafe con leche. There is also a water dispenser and fruit juice available as well as two more computers and a printer in the common area. I was able to download photos to the laptop and burn a disk for back up. The ingenious programming on the computer automatically erased any photos I had downloaded on it within a day. Besides being able to download pix and burn a disc you could access Internet Explorer and Skype. A total convenience. I would definitely book HTH hotels again based on this experience.

Después de un viaje largo y probar diferentes hoteles, este fu muy bueno. La habitación no es enorme pero cuenta con lo necesario, una tenía una lámpara rota... Sin embargo es la única crítica que tengo, porque lo demás fue muy bueno. El desayuno, la ubicación, la atención, el wifi, y la laptop en cada habitación, hicieron una estancia muy cómoda y agradable. Buen hotel

Por el precio que cobran, podrían fijarse más en los detalles, como por ejemplo: me dieron una hab. de fumadores que no quería exprésamente. La tele no funcionaba; mi espejo en el baño estaba roto; la calefacción se ponía a tope y no se podía graduar y si lo apagaba, me congelaba. Me dijeron que las hab. de no fumadores estaba basada en disponibilidad pero si me molestaba mucho que intentarían cambiarme. ¿y porqué no me lo dieron desde el principio? el que más paga, mejor hab. tiene..eso es discriminar! La entrada del hotel es incómodo sin ascensor

O hotel é um bom apto para 2 pesoas , masi que isso , extremamente apertado. Café da manhã bom e alguns recepicionistas gentis , outros nem tanto.
