Orchard Garden Hotel - سان فرانسيسكو

Really liked the hotel and staff. We'll stay here again. There was new personnel in room service so our breakfasts were inconsistent. Also, I had to explain to our server on the second morning that continental breakfast always comes with fruit. I left the re-charger for my Kindle in the room and it was never found, so I was disappointed that I would have to order a replacement, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel doesnt have any service, no real restaurant or coffee shop or even a decent valet or bellman service, but rooms are clean, comfortable and great location near everything.

Roots restaurant was excellent. Hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. Great location.

Very courteous and accomodating staff. We had matinee theater tickets and dtaff helped us to check in early.

If you like Chinatown, this is great. The hotel is located just outside the gate, just away from the gnarly traffic part. So it was super easy for the staff to hail me a taxi, even in the afternoons. My friend could find it and drop me off easily too. Really excellent location. I had no view whatsoever (brick wall), but the room was super clean and had a tub. I'll stay there again.

Picked this hotel off of hotels.com and double checked on yelp for any issues. No big issues on yelp, so I booked for 3 days and 2 nites. Parked vehicle at lot down the street to save a few bucks. That was a good idea because I bought the 3 day bus pass and went everywhere via cable car, bus and walking. The room was very nice. Comfy beds, very clean. My room had a view of Bush St. from the 3rd floor. The restaurant at the hotel lobby was rarely open and when it was, few people ate there. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again on next visit to SF.

I was in town for a training course, so being downtown made sense. The staff were always friendly, and accommodating - for instance, I rented a bicycle & they offered to let me store it in my room, or they had some storage space they'd let me use. I left it a little late to book ground transportation to the airport, and they were really helpful at booking local services. My room was small, but the bathroom was huge. Two blocks south (uphill) is a nice independent grocery store for sundries & cheap breakfasts; a chain store is two blocks the other way. And of course, the main Chinatown gate is just up the street!

The hotel is quite new； room was very clean. The staff were all very friendly . Location is nearby union square shopping and Chinatown is next door. Walking distance to cable car to fisherman's wharf.

Stayed for three nights end of March. Hotel at edge of Chinatown, and on the hop on hop off bus routes. Great shops nearby (everything from North Face, to Apple, Zara, Hermes and Macy's). Room very comfortable. We had a double double for two adults and an eight year old. Room was at back of the building, so not a great view, but very quiet. Only ate once in the hotel restaurant, for breakfast, which was fine if not a little pricey. Waiter seemed to be a bit distant! Cafe de la Presse across the street always busy. For an alternative way to get to the piers, we walked straight up through Chinatown, and through North Beach. Takes maybe forty mins, but the views are great and you pass by some nice local neighbourhood shops and eateries.

The hotel is two blocks from union square, three blocks to the cable cars, a 10 minute walk to North Beach, and 50 feet from Chinatown's dragon gate. The hotel is also very quiet even in such a busy part of the city. The room was clean but starting to show some wear.

Staff is superb, rooms are spotless, great restaurants in neighborhood, fair prices - w hat's not to love?

We are a family of three and stayed for 4 days. Two double beds. Room very well appointed, clean and modern. Furniture modern and appropriate. TV excellent. WIFI access free and fast enough. Bathroom very spacious (good put 1 sqm of bathroom back into main room easily), modern and well appointed. Coffee shop/restaurant wasn't well patronised so there might be a message there? All in all very good and would stay again. Room nice and quiet.

Very nice staff. No frills hotel, but very comfortable and clean. Great location with a nice diner across the street for breakfast.

Just back from a 3-night stay at the Orchard Garden Hotel in SF. Last time we were there we stayed at the sister hotel, the Orchard, which was also very good. The location is perfect, close to everything but quiet, the room (a junior suite) was big and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice, clean, updated hotel within a quick walk of Union Square. A few doors down from the China Town Wall. Great location. Nice staff.

Small rooms but great location and reasonable service. Concierge not as helpful as expected. Restaurant gas limited hours of operation. Quiet location with well maintained but small rooms

Great hotel, staff was friendly and helpful with directions etc. Perfect location right next to chinatown. Overall a wonderful time.

I read the reviews that the rooms were on the smaller side but they are simply too small for me. We had a king bed that faced a long desk and when my wife was working at the desk, I had to jump onto the bed to get by her. The staff was very courteous, the restaurant was OK, and the location is great. I just felt the rate for a Saturday night was way too high for such a small room.

This area near Union Square is very busy, but the hotel is well-insulated against the street noise, which I have found obtrusive in most other hotels nearby. Clean and sleek design. No children allowed. Excellent and cheerful service. Good restaurants within walking distance.

Our hotel stay was wonderful! It would have been perfect if the standard room we stayed in was a bit larger. Other than that it was, nice & clean and the bed oh so comfortable after a long day of walking & sight seeing! I loved the location it was central to so much action and fun!! We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel -money well spent. Got a 3 day pass for the BART system-again money well spent! Don't bother renting a car! Enjoy!!

This hotel was perfect for our week end get-away. It was at the entrance of China Town, walking distance to Union Square with lots of shops on the street on our way there. The hotel its self was very clean and they had our room ready when we arrived at noon. Employees were all very nice, cuteous and helpful. It was also very centrally located to all the trolley & cable cars. I will definately be back to San Francisco and stay at the Orchard Garden Hotel.

I love this hotel! Very convenient to the downtown area. Very minimalist in their room decor but who is going to be hanging out in their room when they're on holiday in a great city like SFO!? The rooftop patio is amazing! Just take your leftover grog (if there is any) after dinner and enjoy it there! Fitness center is basic but serves its purpose. Beds were very comfortable!! Can't wait to stay here again!

Nice hotel, good location for tourists. Would recommend.

We spent our wedding night at Orchard Garden Hotel and were very pleased. They were wonderful about an early check in as we had a wedding to dress for. Ours. They also brought us a special bottle of wine to toast each other. Beautiful. Oh and did I mention the box of decadent chocolates? We will stay there again for sure. Maybe our 1st anniversary. We were able to walk to everything. Very conveniant. Excellent service. What more can we say?

This is a good boutique option for downtown. Location is good for both business and vacation travelers. I've stayed here twice. I remember having a good sized room the first time, but that is probably because it was a double. The room with the king was a bit small, but adequate. The couch bed was a mess and bent beyond use. We left it closed as a couch and my daughter was luckily able to sleep on it. Room was very quite and window faced Grant street overlooking entrance to Chinatown. Staff was courteous and helpful. Family of 3 can fit in one room. 4 people would need 2 rooms.

Newer hotel. Young owner (who I actually met). Outstanding service. Right at the China Town entrance. Just outstanding.

This hotel is nicely located near Union Square and China Town in a safe neighborhood. Thou advertised as a king suite it was a normal sized room with a couch and a view of an alley. The bed was very comfortable. The only problem occurred when we tried to get our car in the morning. I called 15 minutes ahead of when I needed the car as instructed by the bellman the night before. It took 30 minutes for the car to arrive and when it did I was in a panic to get to the airport. My friend and I wheeled the luggage cart out of the lobby towards the car and started to load the car while the bellman, after telling us where to putt he luggage cart, looked on in a daze. I finally had to say to him, "isn't this YOUR job?" it was unbelievable. He seemed to be in a daze. I've never experienced such bad service before. There are a couple parking garages close by I would suggest self parking!

We love boutique hotels and Orchard Garden was no exception! When we arrived, we asked for a room with a view and we were informed that the hotel was very busy and unfortunately there were no rooms with a view available. We received our keys and went up to our room only to discover that housekeeping had not finished cleaning it yet. We went back down to the front desk and Joy immediately fixed the problem. We ended up with a room on the same floor, but that faced the street so we had a bit of a view. They also gave us a box of complimentary chocolate truffles and a $10 gift card to the minibar to make amends. We were personally escorted to our room by a lovely gentleman (I believe his name was Eric), who explained all the green and eco-friendly aspects of the hotel. What a nice touch! The room was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Had stayed in this location before and loved it. Walking distance to all the places at Union Square and right next to the gateway of China town and along the av of the French district. The Hotel is very fresh and clean. The staff and management were delightful and we felt very welcomed here. We definately would return our visit to this property

The hotel is well designed and on the right track. However, there were two glaring issues I found that need room for improvement. The first was shower pressure. It seemed to run in and out, would drop off out of nowhere and then come back. Temperature remained consistent though. The second, was housekeeping. Trash in the form of empty coffee cups and bottles from the minibar were not thrown away. Things were not tidied up on the counter. Clothes were not folded or put into piles. The cleanliness factor was fine. Beds were always made, towels folded in the bathroom, but nothing left out was organized. One other thing - I asked that they take the basket of minibar food left in my room away and it took 2 requests to do so. On the plus side, everyone seemed pleasant enough and were helpful with getting us cabs when we needed them.

Rooms are small but great value and very close to China Town and Union Square. I have stayed there twice...great experience both times. The staff are very nice and very helpful.
