Orchard Garden Hotel - سان فرانسيسكو

This hotel is in a good location making easy access to most parts of the city. Friendly staff, good service. Room was a little small, but fine for two people. I was worried that because our room was right next to the housekeeping storage room, noise might wake us up early in the morning, but I am happy to say it did not! Clean, comfortable bed, quiet at night.

Omg what a find...This was such a good hotel, excellent service, nice clean rooms, excellent location, I could go on and on. I will definitely go back. ..

we enjoyed our 2nights stay at orchard garden it was in walking distance of union square. And china town Bedrooms arev a good size and very clean. we will return to the same hotel again.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, quiet location, comfortable room. If not for the toe nail and dead bug on the carpet when I walked in the room, I would have rated the cleanliness higher. Suggest the rooms are vacuumed when guests check out of the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Location good for all the sights. Very close to Chinatown. Had booked a king double but we were told on arrival that they had all been sold and we were given a twin room which had two double beds. Room very comfortable and staff very helpful. Would certainly return.

We only stay one night and but is was a very clean very nice room and the breakfest was good! The location is right in the middle of everything

Good service, convenient location

The hotel was in an ideal location, at the entrance to Chinatown and very close to shopping at all the upscale stores and Union Square. We had a double/double on the street side. I had read reports that the street-side rooms were quite noisy, but we didn't have a problem sleeping, even though we were there on the weekend. The only extraordinary noise was a garbage truck early one morning. The room was more spacious than I expected and very comfortable. The one small criticism I have is that they should have instructions in the room as to how to use the DVD player. We had to call the desk; someone came right up and told us we had to turn on the TV to make the DVD player work.

Just realized they charged me for the room when I checked out, even though the room was paid for in full via hotlels.com. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting my money back.

The hotel was very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The location is quite good, though it's still a bit of a walk to Market Street. I didn't eat in the vicinity of the hotel, but it looked like there were quite a few places to get food nearby.

I had a generally great stay at Orchard Garden! Two issues I took with the place though: First, there was one woman at the desk who was rude both when I called to see if my room was ready for check-in and when I requested an extra half an hour for checkout due to a meeting that ran until the designated noon checkout time. She treated me like a child and was highly unpleasant. Second, the room was pretty small. Fine for one person, but quite cramped for two. Those aside, the rest of the staff was extremely accommodating and the room was clean and fresh. The location cannot be beat - a door down from Chinatown, great shopping, and a 10 minute walk to Washington Square Park. I'd stay again, especially if I didn't have to valet my car for $40/night!

Restaurant was excellent too.

Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bedding is scrumptious and calm-inducing. The location can't be beat-near Union Square, Belden Place, Chinatown and Powell St. cablecar. Even my extremely picky 19-year-old son liked it and he doesn't like anything.

Absolutely fantastic service, clean, comfortable, excellent wi-fi, very easy access to BART in a safe neighborhood - an oasis of calm to come home to after business meetings all day.

Convenient, very friendly and helpful staff

I was there for New Year’s. The Hotel staff was very helpful in all of our needs. Gave us directions and tips to where we wanted to go and suggested other great sightseeing places. Location of the hotel was just blocks from the shopping area. My only complaint is that there is low water pressure in the shower. I would stay there again if I were to ever visit San Francisco again.

The hotel staff was very helpful in helping us figure out the public transit system. Rooms were clean and rather large for San Francisco. The room had no street noise, which was great. The location was ideal for us. Near shopping/bars/restaurants and two muni stations. Only disappointment was the restaurant. Hardly saw anyone actually eat there. The space would have been better served as an expansive lobby or bar.

The hotel was very comfortable, it include high speed wifi, excellent location, near to everything in downtown, is a small hotel perfect for meeting, business or convention travel. The neighborhood was good, I have no problem during my visit. The persons of the hotel are very attended, the cleaning was great and the condition of the room was excellent. 5 mint walk to Moscone Convention Center, 15mint walk to Union square, many restaurants around it .

hotel lived up to good rating that it has and deserves; clean, comfortable convenient and reasonable price for the area.

We stayed here before a football game. The street is extremely congested and only a small space to pull in front of the hotel if its not full they don't have parking at the hotel they use a third party parking service expect 30-40 minutes if you try to.get your car out. When we left it took 2 hours to get our car because they lost our car we ended up being so late to our football game we missed the first quarter. Rooms are decent and clean but the location outside is dirty and several transients hanging around out side. I would not recommend this place the intercontinental is much nicer has in house valet that doesn't cost 45 dollars a day and they are much more friendly

Perfect stay for people who want to be near main attractions but want a restful sleep after long days. Very comfortable with friendly, accomodating staff. Only about a 15 minute walk to the Ferry Building at the Embarcardero and right on the edge of Chinatown.

I like the green hotel, even with the small room. Unfortunately, a prankster pulled the alarm and the building had to be evacuated. I was late for my meeting the next day, and starving as well because I had no time for breakfast due to having been awake until 2 after the "fire drill." It would have been nice to at least be given a free breakfast to take to the office. Other than that, it's a nice enough hotel with a small rooftop patio with nice views.

The hotel was comfortable but the room was pretty small. The bathroom door also looked like a closet door so it was different. If you check in early in the afternoon there is a lot of street parking so you won't have to pay for valet.

I was very impressed by the hotel. Nice clean rooms, great customer service, good and reasonably priced breakfast. Our room was on the small side, but very functional and did not feel cramped. During our stay the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night -- very aggravating but the management handled the whole thing extremely well and I doubt this will affect any future visitors. Also, Hotel.com was good to work with in securing the room and standing by me and the Orchard Garden with the alarm issue.

Clean, but small rooms. Day staff very nice and night staff needs help. Fire alarm went off four times in the middle of the night. This happened for two nights. Stayed for a week with no problems until the last two nights of my stay. They said the problem was fixed from first night? Restless sleep having to get up several times on faulty alarm.

The Good: Location, Friendly staff, Nice place. The BAD: Tried to check in a little early due to going to Giants game- was told bags would be in room when we return. NO bags in room. Set up a Wake-up call. NO wake-up call. Requested late check out, told was not a problem. Ending up being a problem. Also have an additional change for something on my credit card that I did not authorize. So, I'd say its hit and miss if you have a great time at the hotel.

Nice hotel with nice and fresh standard. But our room had really thin walls. We heard the neighbours every word. Earplugs are recommended!

The location of the hotel was right in the middle of all the sights of the city, walking distance to the waterfront, union square shopping and restaurants, and AT&T ballpark. The in-house restaurant was good but appeared underutilized. I would definitely stay here again, this is a first-class hotel in a first-class city.

The hotel is very plain and struck me as perhaps being designed more for Asian tastes. The furniture looks cheap and the color scheme is meant to be soothing but is just odd - pale yellows and greens. We had a bigger room in that there was a couch, but the room still feels a bit small. There is a "working desk" that is a long narrow strip under the mounted TV - only two outlets - you do get free wifi. The towels are Egyptian cotton, but washed to the point of being stiff. The location is good, being near Union Square, Chinatown and Nob Hill - and still within walking distance to the financial district and Ferry Building (0.9 mile) but you do need to watch out for a number of vagrants. The hotel is very green and LEED certified - which has some unfortunate effects to guests, such as very low water pressure in the shower, and the tiniest bar of soap you have ever seen. The beds are fairly comfortable, and a higher floor blocks out most of the street noise. The TV is difficult to use and has very few channels. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful, especially in giving restaurant recommendations, but I experienced a number of mistakes during my stay - a forgotten cab call, mis-information about the restaurant hours, mis-information about checkout. The hotel does not include any food in the room fee - and the on site Roots restaurant is pricey and over the course of 5 days I only saw 2 couples using the restaurant. Did not eat at Roots so cannot comment.

Enjoyed very much. Only negative was poor view out room window
