We had a brief stay at the Creekside Inn recently and we enjoyed it. If you check-in after 8pm they will put the key in a lockbox outside the room and give you the combination over the phone. Service isn't that great, they put a $100 hold on your card until they inspect your room after you leave. They call you later on that day to tell you the room was fine and the hold was removed. I don't like the fact that you are guilty until proven innocent, makes for some uncomfortableness. The canal area out back is lovely and the hotel's strong point. Very relaxing and beautiful at night especially. I would stay here again if we return to the Keys.

Great stay enjoyed for the price . Only minus was the construction next door was noisy.

There was no water pressure for the shower. The water came out Of the shower head and ran down the wall I was better off tryin to take a shower in the sink. Horrible experience. We were supposed to stay two days and left after the first

The staff at Creekside Inn is superb. Extremely friendly and always eager to help. This has been my 2nd stay at this hotel.

It was just o.k. I have never been charged $100 key charge to return a key. Then they had to go check the room and believe me even the towels were not worth drying yourself with. The only good thing was the restaurant next door called MADE 2 ORDER for breakfast. That was the best ever. That was worth the $100 deposit that we did get back.

I really like the hotel and the room itself beside the price if it can be more affordable but if i have to come back again i will not hesitate

Exellent Location we stayed here on our way to Key West

At first impression we were not impressed. The room was small and would rate it below average. Our opinion changed when we went out back by the water. The rear deck was very cozy and it was nice sitting by the canal. The most upsetting issue with us was when we were told that $100 was being with held on my credit card until our room was inspected by the house cleaning staff. We’ve stayed in a whole lot nicer places than the Creekside and It just made us feel like riff raft and not guests. That alone will be a deal breaker for me for the next time..

For one night it was fine but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended period of time. Second floor rooms really don't have windows to look out of unless you open the bathroom window. Not that you spend much time in your room but it was kind of odd. Young woman at front desk was very nice and accommodating. Mattresses were a cheaper brand so squeaked when you moved. It is right on the water with a very nice house across the channel but a really run down house across from it so a mix of a neighborhood feel. Don't eat at the Great Wall Chinese restaurant - food was below average. McDonald's close though.

At first glance I was disappointed . After checking the rooms and surroundings I was pleasantly suprised . I think if the management invested in some great beds ,( mine was a little uncomfortable) Creek side would be a great place to stay for a vacation we went to John Penny-camp I will come back .. They have an amazing location right on the canal, with plenty of chair's to enjoy the evening . Grills for cooking and a lot of room to eat dinner on the patio

Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. Overlooks canal- nice and quiet.

Pretty location. Bedding was worn and needs replacing. Bathrooms needed basic maintenance. Waited too long to check in due to prolong conversation with another guest. Get breakfast with package. Resturant was next door with good breakfast. Overall it was ok.

Very expensive. There was not even a chair in the room to sit on. Not worth the price for what you got. We stayed in Key West the next night for less money and a better room. Very small room. Not enough towels, no windows that you could even look outside wanted $100 dollar deposit, then to get it back had to wait for them to open in the morning then we were told we had to wait another 45 min. for her to do the night books, Customers are not considered for courtesy

The location was great, right next to the waterway. It is within an easy walk along the creek to a restaurant for breakfast. A Coast Guard Unit in a boat, pulled up and tied up to the pier next to the restaurant. The room was OK, but the lighting in the room needed a lot to be desired. Only one lamp in the room, but the bathroom light was OK. One thing to remember, don't get there after 9:00 pm without a cell phone. Two couples came in just after 9:00 pm and didn't have a cell phone. I was able to let them use my cell phone. This definitely isn't a Hampton Inn or Ramada Inn where someone is at the desk 24/7. But the area is charming and I thought it was nice for one night, passing by. It did get me closer to Tampa, FL after leaving Key West, FL. Key West to Tampa is a long drive and doesn't give you time to stop and take an Air Boat ride along the way, which we did.

Frist room was on second floor. First floor was requested. After explaning we could not do steps they found us a first floor which was a much better room over all.

Nice place at a reasonable price. This isn't a fancy place; but it was perfect for our one-day stay on the way to Key West. It is located on a creek/bayou where you can rent a boat or fish from the boardwalk in back. If that's not your interest; you have a comfortable room and a complimentary breakfast at the restaurant next door. The breakfast was far better than the typical "complimentary" breakfast you typically get at a Hotel/Motel. I'd go back again!

This place was perfect for what we needed: a nice place to stay the night as we explored the Keys. We weren't looking for an expensive resort, but we didn't want a dumpy motel, and this place filled that middle ground nicely. The beds were not the most comfortable, but I've definitely experienced much worse. The back of the Inn sits right on the canal and there are lots of comfy chairs and picnic tables there on which to lounge and enjoy the scenery. There's also a small fire pit and bbq grill/smoker, presumably for guest use.

After flying into Miami a friend and I took the 1.5 hr trip to Islamorada. We were looking for beaches and nightlife, there were not many of the two in the area around the inn. The inn itself was bare bones but not uncomfortable, catering to fishing. No clock or light switch, had a refrigerator. The area around is pretty suburban America. Keep going down 1 if you want to get away a little more.

Loud location, dirty room, smelly surroundings and you have to sign cancel policies and lost key penalty fee agreement upon checkin.

it's next to the highway like most hotels in the US are for some reason, but the fact that the back door opens to a boating canal makes up for the front.the weird thing was I was asked to sign $100 for a deposit on the credit card (without the note saying anything about it being a deposit), rather than just taking down the number as most hotels do. Made me feel like I might get cheated. We will see. The bathroom is a bit worn out, and the window opens to the highway.there should be windows to the pier instead.

motel very old. Bed was hard as a rock! Needs an updated TV. One wash cloth for 2 people and bath towels so thin you could see thru them! Room was clean just needed some updating and a new mattress. Conveniently located on our way to key west.

The hotel is very conveniently located directly on the Overseas Hwy - the rooms were not as clean as one would wish, but ok. A great thing about the room though was the "escape to sun & sea" through the backdoor to a kind of terrace located directly on the water ... a great place to read in the evening and to have coffee in the morning.

We had hoped to have a nights stay after gong to the NASCAR race with some local entertainment. We did not find anything close enough to walk to. No resturant near that was open. We arrived after hours but the staff had our keys in the drop box. We wake early and could not find a place for breakfast. We continued our exploration of the area.

We needed a hotel near Islamadora at a reasonable price. This worked well. The rooms were nice and clean. Our only complaint was the shower was only slightly warmer than cold.

Room was clean and comfortable. Lighting was too dim to read. A/C was marginal. During three night stay, one day there was no coffee and one day there were no hand towels. Towels were pretty thin. Anywhere but the Keys it would have been priced too high.

Was there for.a wedding and the staff was amazing. The rooms were very near and clean. There was ample parking and dockside Sears and tables to relax in the morning with your coffee. I'll definitely be back:)

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. The experience was awful. The hotel looks like a motel from the 70s outside. The paint was in bad condition. The room was small and didn't even have a trash can until I asked for one. Ice is no where to be found. The last straw was that there was no water from the time I checked in until the time I left. Staff did nothing about it. I had to shower and stay at a friend's room at a different hotel. I wish I had recourse to get my money back but hotels.com has no satisfaction guarantee.

Just what we thought; older, on highway, but back door opened right on an old waterway (see pictures). Negative: 1/3 full but absolutely no 30 minute extension for a wife who sleeps very late.

Had a great tim, however room was a litle small.

The neighborhood is very poor, now windows in a room, ice under lock and key, too big price for the room, missunderstanding!!!

Not fancy but convenient clean.

Stayed one night [2 rooms] whilst enroute to Key West. The staff were friendly. The pool was small but clean.The rooms badly need a refurb. Very noisey aircon. No curtains to keep the light out in early morning, just verticle blinds with slats missing. No breakfast included. Not cheap.

Waited an bour for staff to show up to get checked in.

Room was newly decorated with new pillow top beds with refrigerator and microwave.Exceptionally clean. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.We really enjoyed our stay and would fully recomend it to anyone despite some of the remarks on the computer.which should be eliminated.Sylvia & Mary

The room is nice except there is no tissue box and laundry bags. The paper cups has a wierd smell. No computers so bring your own laptop! Ask for rooms overlooking the beautiful canal. There is no more room service after 8pm. Hopefully when the renovation is over things will get more organized.

This was not what I was expecting from the reviews. It's not a hotel, it's an efficiency. Although the service was very good, the place did leave something to be desired. It's really best suited for people with boats, and those that go fishing. The room was clean, but the bedsheets had holes, and the bed was INCREDIBLE creaky. Holes in the sheets alone would have been fine with me, but I woke up startled when my fiancee got in the bed, becuase it was so loud. There was construction going on at the motel, and the only thing that drowned out the noise was our AC. But I must say the restaurant next door was Very good. The pictures also don't show you that the pool is actually at the restaurant, and right next to the outside seating area, and is also used for scuba diving lessons for the near by business. Not too bad, but I won't be going back. Really meant for fishermen, and people looking to keep it cheap. I would have paid more and next time, I will. Bayside Inn is really close by and better, and not the prices aren't that different.

I was pleasantly surprised. the room was comfortable, the service personal. We got a discounted breakfast coupon for use 2 doors down and the breakfast was really lovely, on a deck overlooking the canal. Furthermore, this is an area of very high priced places and this place was reasonable.
