Hospes Palacio del Bailío - قرطبة

We spent 2 days at the Palacio del Baillio and we had a mixed experienced. On one side, the hotel is fine: clean and spacious room, nice staff, good services. On the other side, there are some major aspects which disqualified this hotel from the 5 star range: - Outdated skin care items - No soap for washing hands in the bathroom. - Bad soundproofing (we heard a bit the washing machine from our room). These aspects are not acceptable for a 5* hotel. I won't say I won't recommend this hotel at all. I just want to set the right expectations which are eventually related to the available prices.

Restored 'palace' with even ruins to show. Beautiful, comfy room and bed and large marble bath, extra good "spanish' buffet breakfast, easy walking distance to church/mosque and sites, a few good restaurants in the immediate area (hotel also has), 'library' with computers (was being used for a fashion shoot one day thus hard to access) and a spa. Winter special included use of spa pool-interesting setup, might seem underwhelming as a separate purchase. Does have outdoor pool in a garden for summer.

My wife and I stayed for one night in this beautiful hotel in January 2012. Excellent service and comfort. Close to the city centre (10 min walk). The hotel is situated in a former "palace" but has been adjusted to modern requirements with great taste. Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed in a patio that is covered with a glass sealing. Through glass plates in the floor you look at Roman relicts that were discovered recently. Very special! The spa is also very nice (although they allow to many people at the same time). Nevertheless, I strongly recommend this hotel for those who are willing to pay for "a special treat". It is certainly value for money.

As common in Hospes properties this one is a restored palatial residence, there is a transparent cover over Roman tile floors that are under the dining room. The rooms are tiny and have the normal Hospes very, very shallow basins that splash whenever used. The desk is too shallow to accept an open 13" laptop. Again as with other Hospes one must pay Euro 4 extra for eggs at breakfast. There is no complimentary bottled water or anything else. That seems rather cheap for what is billed and priced as a luxury hotel, but the location is unbeatable, within a five minute walk of all the major tourist sights. Apart from those small "ultra chic" modernist details that do not work well, the hotel is great. Service is excellent and courteous.

we loved the hotel....two turns and we are in front of Colon Square with buses all over the city...... the hotel is super nice and very classy....excellent attention and service....will be back again...

This hotel - a former Palace - has been beautifully and sensitively restored. There is an understated elegance about the hotel without it being stuffy and precious. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to please and really made us feel welcome. The bedroom and bathroom were very similar to staying in any 5 star hotel - comfortable, stylish, clean. However, one main difference was that you could actually have fresh air by opening the doulbe shutters and glass doors and stepping into a small balcony - fantastic! I loved the dining room with its glass floor where one could see the remains of Roman walls, columns and beautiful tiled floors....it was certainly a feature. The hotel is in a great location - just 10 minutes walk to the main must see tourist attractions - the amazing Mezquita, Medina Azahara etc.... All in all, a great place to stay.

Wonderful hotel very well located and extremely efficient staff. We will be back on our next trip to Spain. Our only regret was that we had not booked a longer stay.

Beautiful Hotel & Rooms right in the heart of Cordova. Great Bathrooms! and a most helpfull & friendly staff. The hotel will park your car... and the breakfast buffet was the best.

This hotel was beautiful with a great garden and nice pool. It is worth spending a couple of days here. It also boasts a very good quality restaurant and the decor is fantastic.

very romantic, luxurious, excellent service, fabulous dining, loved the patio, great combination of historical and modern...loved it

This is a great hotel located in a historic mansion from the 15th century. There is under the formal dining room one of the largest and oldest Roman mosaic in Europe. The modern decor is very tasteful and minimal to enhance the original beauty of the place. Loved the color palette (muted browns) and textures. A lot of charming patios and corners to read and relax. Don't miss the Roman baths that you can enjoy for free (you just need to make a reservation). Good food at the tapas bar, even if the service is a little slow.

Great Hotel with a fantatstic atmosphere. Great room and very helpful team. The only downside was that the hotel got our spa booking wrong and we had to miss the spa, but other than that it was a great stay

Hotel staff was very helpful. The Roman baths were very relaxing.

Das Hotel erfüllt höchste Ansprüche. Bestnoten in allen Bereichen. Für KInder weniger geeignet. Beim Abendessen waren wir etwas einsam, da die meisten Gäste auswärts aßen. Das Hotel ist schwer zu finden. Auch ein gutes deutsches Navi hat versagt. Genauen Stadtplan oder Taxilotse notwendig. Unser Pkw. wurde bestens "entsorgt".

古い館をホテルにしたとても素敵な雰囲気のホテルでした。 受付の男性も大変親切で案内も行き届いていました。 バスルームも清潔で、アメニティも揃っていました。 レストランの床下が遺跡とのことでガラス張りになっており楽しかったです。

Hôtel de qualité certes avec du personnel charmant et très souriant , mais chambre non prête à notre arrivée , vers 13h me semble t-il .Nous n'avons pas eu les codes Wifi promis suite à appel à la réception , obtenus après être descendu les demander.Connection disponible plusieurs heures plus tard.Chambre agréable , relativement grande, avec une décoration moderne ( ton gris et blanc) mais un peu froide à notre goût. Evitez les chambres sur rue car bruyante ( camion poubelle à 3H30 du matin !! Scooters ...) .Nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion d'utiliser les services de Spa , soins....La salle de restauration est très jolie avec un sol de verre à travers laquelle on découvre des vestiges: petit-déjeuner un peu cher mais copieux , divers et varié .Géographiquement très bien placé avec un parking privé mais payant ( un peu limite compte tenu des prix pratiqués! ) , c'est pourquoi nous le recommandons .Commentaire à la relecture me parait un peu sévère car globalement de qualité , cependant nous avons pratiqué des hôtels de charme à Grenade ( Casa 1800) et Séville ( hôtel Amadeus) qui nous laissent un souvenir plus délicieux et chaleureux , dans un esprit andalou

Hotel de rêve, tout est beau, c'est le luxe chic mais pas tapageur. La chambre design était superbe, la piscine et le patio idem ! Excellent petit dej. Le personnel adorable ! Bref une belle adresse pour une escapade en amoureux.

パティオの床がガラス張りで、約６ｍ下にローマ時代の遺跡がある。そういう歴史のあるところで朝食をとレたことも印象に残る。 ホテルスタッフも若く元気はつらつと働いていて感じが良い。

El hotel es muy difícil de encontrar! Llame y pida instrucciones. El GPS estaba equivocado y casi no lo encontramos.

L’hotel est un vrai 5 étoiles « LUXE » idéalement situé pour toutes les visites, le personnel est vraiment sympa et attentif à tt dmde… Ce lieu est vraiment magique, plein de romantisme et de charme !!!! il dévient presque dur de quitter sa magnifique piscine Pour aller visiter la ville qui elle aussi est magnifique  Je vous conseil fortement cet établissement !!!!!!
