Key didn't work when we got there. Had to go back twice to get them to get it to work. First thing we did was lift up the mattresses to make sure there weren't any bed bugs (there weren't) but the condition of the room had us question it immediately. The bathroom was cleaned in a quick manner, you can see wipe down streaks from whatever they used to quickly wipe it down, but not clean/fresh smelling and not convincingly clean. Although room was smoke free you can tell it had been smoked in for years before. Paper thin walls and floors, noisy.

You get what you pay for. I was looking for a cheap room and got it. Breakfast was decent. Family run. Not enough hands maybe.

Although the hotel had no amenities (not even an elevator), the rooms were large and the hotel was close to Williams College. The pillows were great! Must have purchased new ones based on reviews that we had read prior to our trip.

Our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled horribly like smoke.

comfortable and restful nights

Hotel is what it is for the price but had a weird smell.

The mattresses were incredibly uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and much overused. The room was clean but needs updating badly. Towels were the size of hand towels and threadbare. The price was inexpensive, but still not worth it.

The deadbolt would not work as the bolt did not line up correctly. This room was not close to the picture shown. The heat worked fine but whenever someone entered or left their room you were aware of it. Kids running on the upstairs porch sounded like a herd of elephants. But at night I did get a good nights sleep. I checked in after noon and the parking lot was only partially cleared of snow. Parking near my room was still covered with snow so I had to stand and walk in 8 inches of it to unload the car and get to the room. They finished clearing the lot just as darkness set in. There was a used bar a soap still in the soap tray by the mirror.

it was what is expected of an inexpensive stay

The location is perfect to get to the museums and restaurants. The room was spacious, but not thoroughly cleaned. Staff was friendly but there was nothing exceptional about the service or amenities. It is what it is... A place to sleep.

My son goes to Williams and we've stayed in every hotel, motel, and inn; from high to low. HoJo in Williamstown is a family-run franchise - friendly, clean, and inexpensive. Go for it!

Quite hrs are not enforced. Some guests are really noisy till midnight.

Was great - especially for the price. I had NO Complaints. (Oh, just one little one - I never received my wake-up call which I requested the night before). Other than that, everything was just fine. Highly recommend.

Room was clean and functional. Breakfast bar was well tended with usual assortment of Continental Breakfast items. Nice lady at reception showed me where to park my motorcycale. Location very good on east side of Williamstown with North Adams just up the road. Neighborhood was good with gas station/convenience store and strip mall with pizzeria, restaurant & pharmacy within walking distance.

We got the so-called suite because it had a refrigerator and microwave. However, it's layout was poor and not a real suite. Plus no table or desk to work at. Definitely overpriced for the value.

Nothing fancy, but it provided spacious rooms and comfortable beds. I saw the owners' little boy peeking out of the family's apartment, which was kind of cute!

If you want to go to the Berkshires on a popular summer weekend then you already know that things are not stacked in your favor. The hotels often have elevated prices and three-night minimums with no refund. From that standpoint, this worked well for us. We stayed for two nights and could cancel with 48 hours notice. The room was overpriced but it is convenient to Williamstown, clean, an acceptable continental breakfast was included, and it's okay. The room itself was fine but the overall physical plant is in need of some repair. Would we stay there again? If we needed to under similar circumstances.

I couldnt have been happier and so was my wife. The staff was extremely kind and available. If you need to stay in Williamstown area do not hesitate to book a room here. Clean comfortable and everything worked!

The property is old, but kept well. The best feature is its employees. Everybody is extremely nice and accommodating. They all had a smile always and were ready to help, answer questions, etc. This is a limited service hotel, but the continental breakfast was nice and plenty. The housekeeping department can use some training as they really did not do a good job. The only recommendation I'd like to make is that you do research before coming to this town as there is not much to do around and it can get a bit boring.

Pleasant people, perfectly adequate room. Didn't partake of the free breakfast or use the pool; no time for either - tho the pool looked very clean and inviting!

The room was nice and roomy. Though the facility is aging and a little run down, it certainly was acceptable for a few nights while visiting my family. It is centrally located between North Adams and Williamstown, which is convenient and the staff was very nice. The rates were very reasonable. It was a good stay.

The hotel is perfect for its price. The amenities in the room were basic but clean and in good condition. The rooms were big and comfortable. We didn't try the complimentary breakfast in the hotel, but there is a pretty good diner close by where we ate daily. If you are visiting the Berkshires and doing the Ashuwillticook trail this hotel is a very good option.

This motel is well located but very basic in the comforts offered. There is no separate closets and pillows were the size of cushions. Front desk staff were helpful, but housekeeping left much to be desired. When we checked in we found dirty fingerprints on the bathroom door frame, and a used wash cloth overlooked on the shower rail. Towels are small and thin. All this would be more or less acceptable except that the price is high in relation to quality.

Great value -- not for the super prissy; comfy & quiet. Would stay again!

i stayed there for 3 nights on a work assignment for the commonwealth. the water was hot, good maid service, clean rooms and warm. ill be staying again soon.

my wife and 2 kids stayed here for 2 nights in february... needless to say, our expectations for fairly low for this motel chain, but i have to say we were pleasantly surprised... not only with the hotel itself (pleasant staff, free breakfast and clean/quiet room) but also with the surrounding area... there were several restaurants nearby, Williams College a short drive down the road, and easy access to Jiminy Peak (about 30 min drive). at the price we paid (very cheap/night), would definitely consider staying here again.

We booked this motel in the winter. That was our first mistake. We had a late arrival. Room # 1-The section of room we were sent to was closed the week before ( for the winter season) , yet they were unaware of this at the front desk . So we went to to get another room. Room # 2- was old , but ok looking. It was freezing cold. No heat was put on. After unpacking we would find part of the rug on the floor was wet. So we went to get another room . Room #3- Was 2 double beds instead of the King bed we wanted, but although cold was open unlike room #1 and not freezing or wet like the previous # 2 room. Since it was past midnight by then . We were exausted. We slept . Beds were ok, but nothing special. In the morning there was no hot water (watermain break or problems in the town ). We never took a shower there. The complimentery breakfast was aweful. The service was not very good. We cut our trip short and checked out a day earlier then we booked. Luckily we got a small refund, But still paid Much more for the one night of pure metal torture then we should have. I will never stay there again and recomend you do not.

This place was easy to find and a pleasant place to stay. Not a palace, but perfectly comfortable and clean.

Clean, well maintained with excellent service. A simple breakfast is included. This basic hotel offers extraordinary value for the price. I don't hesitate to recommend it.

This is a motel, not a hotel, and a pretty middling one. The staff were helpful and professional, but our room had an overpowering smell of some kind of cleaner. It was clean and in order, though it showed some wear. The motel is located on the main drag in North Adams, convenient to everything in the area. The surrounding area is uninspiring--a strip mall, a gas station and so on--so no need to ask for a room with a view.

clean room, appearance good, back stairs needs to be repaired - only metal framing with holes. would like a christian channel to be included in selections.

The A/C was very noisy. It seemed rather old. The building itself was in good shape even though it seemed to be an older building. The bathroom faucet could have been more thoroughly cleaned. All in all it was a pleasant stay, and the breakfast in the AM was convenient and very satisfying

Note: they had just experienced flooding from Hurricane Irene. The service and generosity of the staff was superb. The room was dingy, had not enough electrical outlets, the room temperature was difficult to manage, the floor was spotty, the bed was lumpy. Location was fine.
