The property is beautiful, in a very remote area. Meal costs seem high. $55 for a Sunday Brunch seems quite high, when normal breakfast buffet is only $7,00. Too pushy on the time share portion of the property.

We were very well looked after at the Westin .You have to be aware that the hotel is not in the midst of all the activities. It is a quiet, peaceful environment. If you want to rent a car or go on excursions , all the services are there. Also, you can walk to Oyster Pond and there are some eating areas there.Good place for a family, young children.

The service was great, the was very good and reasonably priced. Overall very comfortable. The scenery is excellent. No complaints.

Tlhe Westin Dawn Beach met our needs for a pre and post night stay for our cruise. Our guest room and bathroom were exceedingly spacious with lovely verandas with a partial ocean view. The pool area was lovely with ample seating for all guests and a large pool for swimming. The poolside restaurant provided excellent ambiance for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall, the staff was courteous and helpful. The location, however, is quite far from the airport and marina, requiring rather expensive taxi rides. There is not an opportunity to walk to shopping or other dining choices. Given that, it was a relaxing and pleasant property for our purposes.

Stayed here two nights prior to leaving on a cruise. It was fantastic! Very comfortable bed, nice room w ocean view of St Barts, quiet neighborhood, hotel is not huge so everything was in close proximity (pool, restaurant, bar, casino). Hotel staff were accommodating and friendly. The only downside is it's a 20 minute drive from shopping, restaurants, etc. although found a great spot for dinner 5 minutes away at the marina. Overall great property and we would definitely return.

Very nice hotel, with nice location, with a nice beach and perfect pool. Its away from cruise crowds. On the expensive side for food and kid club enrollment. Don't forget the dreaded resort fee on top of rate. The time share salespeople were a little annoying. The room was tight for family of 4 (2 small kids). But probably nicest place on island, and i would come back.

My husband and I visited St. Maarten/St. Martin to celebrate my birthday. We stayed at the Westin (Dawn Beach). I highly recommend this property. The staff was friendly (I see why they call it the friendly island) and very helpful. The room was very nice (and I'm a picky person). The hotel and hotel grounds were well kept/maintained. There were lots of amenities and we used them (the gym, the business center, the pool, restaurant, casino). We ate at the hotel restaurant and had room service several times. The service and food was good on both fronts. Of course, the hotel prices were higher, but then again you are on an island. The hotel is a bit out of the way and best if you want a more secluded stay. Overall, I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

What an amazing location. Swim directly off the beach to great snorkeling. Restaurant in the hotel has a great brunch and surrounding restaurants are just what you would expect during a island getaway. Fresh seafood right on the beach. Staff was over the top friendly. Easy access to many of the fine French restaurants/beaches. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Everything about the Westin was great. From check-in, to room, buffet breakfast, beach area, and the gorgeous pool. Would definitely go back again.

I had a fabulous stay at the Westin in ST Maarten. It was a little difficult to find, but once I located the property I was in heaven! The Westin sits on a beautiful stretch of picturesque coastline, and you can sip a fresh drink from the infinity pool and see ST Barts. Absolutely incredible views! The pool was huge and very clean. My room had an ocean view and was five star all the way. Extremely clean and all the ammenites one expects at a incredible resort. The bed was as they say at the Westin, truly heavenly. In the morning I enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast, complete with waffles, french toast and omelettes, as I looked out at the beautiful ocean. The staff was very friendly and professional. I will definitely be back. Loved this property!

Overall stay ok - Bellhops great - food service workers need better attitudes - bartender needs to remember to actually put alcohol in drinks. Was told we were being upgraded to ocean front room when we actually got the ocean view room we paid for. Nice pool. Restaurants next door excellent - Big Fish, Canoa, Mr Busby's.

Had a blast. Great staff & great hotel!

The hotel is clean, the food is average but the service is just awful. Servers at the pool, bar, resturants and casino are not at all attentive. I dont think they have figured out yet that the more they take care of their guests, majority Americans from what I could tell, the more we tip!! Im glad to say I won enough money at their casino to pay for everything I did while at the hotel or Id be kind of upset. The pit boss even had the nerve to tell a person that was betting heavy at the table to walk to the bar instead of calling a server over. They just dont get it!!! Oh well, atleast the pool is nice, but dont expect any service at the swim up bar. That bartender acknowledged us and then proceeded to wait 15 minutes before coming over to us to take our orders.

Ample room though the carpet not so clean The Westin is a good option in St. Maarten. The beach is beautiful, service is OK, people friendly. Location no so easy to find because lack of proper signals along the roads. Even the car with GPS made to get to the hotel daunting.

A great staff and a beautiful location. I did not get the room we asked for but the staff made it up to us in other ways. Great time!!!

Just returned from our first stay in St. Maarten - we loved the Westin - beautiful facilities, nice room, basically a private beach, located near a few fabulous restaurants in Oyster Pond (less than 5 min cab ride). We listened to a 90 min time share presentation and got 3-day car rental for free - worth it to rent a car so you can explore the island. It is away from the packed beaches and shopping meccas, but easy to drive to all those areas. The pool area is absolutely beautiful and overlooks the ocean. Breakfast buffet every morning was great. Helpful staff. Slight musty smell in room disappeared when we opened up our balcony doors to enjoy the ocean sights and sounds. We will stay here again.

The pros about the Westin-Dawn Beach are that the rooms were clean,updated,spacious and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were even able to have a late check out. Beautiful location and excellent food. However the cons are the hotel is so far from the airport. Took us over an hour to get to the hotel. Also the carpet in the hallways in the hotel were stained and seemed like they could have been kept in better condition for a Westin.

I was bothered with bug bites while sleeping. I would go to bed with nothing on my skin and wake up with red lesions in several places on my legs. I am aware that bed bugs are a real problem again in our society due to so much international travel. I voiced this to the lady at the desk and she said it was probably mosquito bites. i don't think this is true as I never saw a mosquito and the bites didn't look like that of a mosquito.

The hotel pool and beachfront alone is worth the stay. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. Rooms are very comfortable, with the bed featuring the "Miracle" mattress found in most Westin properties. Casino is usually quiet and plenty of one-one-one blackjack opportunities. Parking on-site is very convenient. Very convenient to the French side of the island. Be sure to visit the Butterfly Farm near Orient Beach and the Zoo near Phillipsburg.

The Resort itself is beautiful breathtaking, unfortuantely the service was the worst Ive ever encountered. Its very disappointing to go on vacation to have the waiters and front desk practically ignore you.

We had a great stay at the hotel. Although we were unhappy at the moment of arrival that the room was not ready on time, we were very pleased by care and understanding we received from manager on duty Nadine l. She tried her best to make us happy. She assisted me with problem I had with car rental company. She was alaways there with a smile, inquiring how she could be of help. I would also like the than the General Manager of the hotel John H. for his professionalism and care about customers' problems. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was very specious. There is not too much entertainment in the hotel and it's pretty isolated.

The hotel is a very nice facility and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately this was offset my many of the staff. Many of the staff were rude, surly, and appeared to have a bit of an attitude. There were some nice exceptions to this...the concierge service was up to par and the lady who was shift manager during checkin was very warm and nice. I would give the bar a grade of D and the restaurant a C- at best. If you could get waited on, the wait staff was very slow and almost lazy in the way they took care of patrons. I would not recommend this place to anyone or even Saint Maartin for that matter .

We were on a family vacation with a 8 months old baby and a 4 yrs old. The hotel was very nice, big and clean rooms, the staff were very nice, the pool was good for the kids, nice Spa...actually nothing to complain about.

The beach hotel is not nice. Was far away for every interesting place ( marigot, philisburg, grand case, etc). The worst fact was that the room wasnt clean at all. We made a reservation of a ocean front view, and they gave me a pool view, after 3 calls were they tried to convince me that for them pool view is ocean view, they offer the change when I have already unpacked.

O hotel é novo, os quartos são super confortáveis e a piscina do hotel de frente para o mar e simplesmente magnífica. O ponto negativo fica mesmo para a localização. Não se encontra muitos restaurantes nas proximidades e os polos de diversão noturna ficam distantes. Mas para quem pretende curtir praia, descansar e ser bem tratado... é uma ótima pedida.

Fiquei decepcionado com o atendimento dos funcionários do hotel. Parecia que éramos importantes para eles. Logo na chegada, por volta das 21:40 hs, ocorreu demora na localização das bagagens recem desembarcadas, pois o maleteiro havia se ausentado com elas, misturadas com as de outros clientes. Por isso, somente chegamos ao restaurante para jantar às 22.20 hs e o encontramos fechado. Indagada, a funcionário interna respondeu que o restaurante fechava às 22:30 hs e que a cozinha estava fechada. Entendo que nos deixaram sem jantar sem justificativa. Lamentável. Gostaria que o hotel se manifestasse.

para una isla que no se destaca por los grandes hoteles, está muy bien. solo dos observaciones: está muy retirado de las atracciones de la isla lo cual obliga a taxis(caros) o a alquilar un vehiculo (dificil la movilizacion x ausencia de señalizacion vias pequeñas y obscuras y pocos parqueaderos en zonas turisticas); y lo otro es la piscina que es muy fria y no tiene climatizacion. afortunadamente tiene un jacuzzi grande. En lo demás está muy bien y es recomendable. buenos restaurantes.

Mycket snyggt hotel perfekt läge mitt på ön,lite svårt att hitta till. Fantastisk strand och poolområde, dricks alltid välkommet för extra service. Snygga stora rum med både dusch och litet badkar. Verkligen rekommenderas.

Excelente hotel. O único ponto de atenção para quem alugar carro, é ter um bom mapa, principalmente para quem chega na ilha de noite. As placas para Dawn Beach são escassas. Inicialmente, recomendo seguir as placas para Philipsburg. Durante a minha estadia estava de aniversário e ganhei uma champanhe francesa de cortesia.
