With a full hot breakfast every morning and another meal from 5-7pm every night, a family could save a bundle on food alone. And it's not just a snack. They had baked potatoes, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, etc. And for each adult, 3 alcoholic drinks per night. The hotel is right on the river, just a quick walk to all the restaurants and shops, but it's not a cookie-cutter hotel - it used to be a bank. A really great, old-fashioned, gold filigree lobby bank. Each of the rooms used to be offices. You almost expect to pass Sam Spade in the hall. It's clean and comfortable as well. I've been coming to San Antonio for the past 30 years and I try to stay in a different hotel every time - this is one of the few that I chose to stay in several times.

We were very pleased with the hotel and their services. Beautiful hotel on the river, rates were good, room was very clean and beds were comfortable, had beautiful view from our window and will definitely stay there again when we visit SA.

We were very pleased with the Drury. The bldg is beautiful and is in a nice location. It is in a quiet location on the Riverwalk so if you want to be closer to all the bars & restaurants you may want something a bit closer. We enjoyed walking to the busier areas. Our room was very pleasant except when I went to put some drinks in the fridge there was extremely old pizza left in the fridge which means someone hadn't taken the time to really clean out the fridge. Other than that our room was very clean. The hotel has 2 pools that looked very nice and clean and the front desk workers and valet workers were all extremely nice and helpful. I can't wait to stay there again.

This is our second stay at a Drury property (after New Orleans, 2012), and it again exceeded our expectations. Drury's parent company has a special way of repurposing classic old structures, and turning them into great places to stay. This was once the Alamo National Bank, a wonderful art deco landmark in San Antonio. Our room was clean, and extremely quiet. Check-in service and food service staff were friendly and efficient. Location, on a quiet part of the Riverwalk, was sensational. A short 3 minute walk beside the river gave you access to loads of restaurants, shops, activities, and interesting sights. You can't beat the hot food for both breakfast and dinner, along with three alcoholic beverages per guest, per night. The food was hot, plentiful, with enough of a variety, and more than adequate. (Not a gourmet sit-down dining experience, but nothing lacking in a meal, clearly.) Only thing I would clarify is the parking. We self-parked on the 2nd floor, and when checking out the next day, the hotel garage staff indicated that we could have gotten towed. There were no signs to let you know that, and front desk staff should ask where you parked, and whether it was valet or self-parking. Regardless, everything worked out fine, and we had NO problems. One last note....be sure to hit the rooftop pool and outdoor lounge area. Terrific views of San Antonio in all directions. Very happy with our overnight stay! Thanks!

I enjoyed my stay at the Drury Hotel. It was great being able to have both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. It was convenient to be able to directly access the Riverwalk from the hotel.

My friends and I were stuck in elevator number 2 for 35 minutes. It took two phone calls before anyone did anything to get us out. However, the manager was AMAZING!!!! He definitely made us quickly forget about the situation and was extremely accommodating. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

This was one of best Hotels I have stayed at in San Antonio. I have been to San Antonio at least 10 times and this was my first stay. Our room was awesome and we were so close to everything on the river walk. I will definitely stay here again.

I was impressed by the fact that even the staff/workers/maids all greet you when they see you. Most hotels, they just look away

Nice location, great views, the halls, and shampoo, condition, body wash containers mounted on the shower walls remind me of my college dorm or a cheap gym's lockeroom. Honestly, my gym has nicer bathrooms.

Historic, beautiful, and very clean hotel. We LOVED our stay and will definitely come back. The free breakfast buffet was excellent, as well as the free drinks and appetizers at the evening kickback. The rooms were spacious and cozy as well. Definitely a place I would recommend to all.

Beautiful older hotel which has kept up it,s appearance. Close proximity to everything made it exceptional....

i will have to say the hotel is great, comfortable, and in a convinient location. HOWEVER, the only thing, is that as younger people traveling (25-30 years old), we felt like the youngest people that stayed there. it is definetly more for an older crowd. it didn't matter to us, but just FYI for any other younger people looking to stay here.

The room was outstanding and the staff were all the friendliest of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is right there on the Riverwalk and within walking distance to the Alamo and the Rivercenter Mall. We will defiantly book there again on our next trip.

This hotel was very clean. Rooms were spotless. Hotel employees were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was somewhat dated, and having to take two different elevators to get to our room was not covenant. There were lots of families with kids going to and from the pool, so hallways were wet from them. If you are looking for a great place with pools the kids would enjoy and easy access to the river walk, this is a great hotel for your family. If you are a couple looking for a weekend getaway, you might want to stay at a different hotel.

Excellent. I would have given a 5 on room cleanliness, but there was a blood spot on one of my pillow covers. Kind of unsavory. I would skip the free breakfast next time. It didn't fit the ambience of a fine hotel.

The kickback at 5:30 with free food and drinks is a nice perk, and the hot breakfast is very good as well. You can access the riverwalk from the hotel elevator. Lots of places to eat and sights to see. The San Fernando tower we really enjoyed the room with the balcony

It took us a while to find out how to get to the parking area when we arrived and once we found it, we found out we would only be able to do valet parking onsite. We decided to do it and it wasn't that big of a deal, but I understand for some, it can be an extra added cost they aren't wanting to take on. We went to check in and everything went smoothly, they gave us some cards for their breakfast in the morning as well as some complementary drinks and hot food that evening. We decided to get the free drinks, but passed on the food so we could go eat out. The drinks were ok, but I really don't think you can expect amazing when it's free! I did appreciate that the bartender was happy to make a different drink if you tried it and didn't like it. We went down to their basement level floor which is where the river access is at. It was a little strange being down there, but there is a door out to the river walk! I was thinking it wasn't really there once we got down there, even though there were signs for it! Anyway, the room was nice, everything was clean. I liked that they had some more green ways of operating the hotel, like having dispensers on the wall for shampoo, etc. instead of the little bottles that end up in the landfill. We ate their hot breakfast in the morning. It seemed to be a typical hot breakfast as you would have at any hotel. I would say that overall, it was a great stay, but for the price, I probably would choose a different hotel next time.

Excellent location to walk out then take a walk on the River Walk. The hotel staff was very friendly and most helpful. We will plan to stay there again next time!

My husband and I got a king suite which had a nice view of the river. The balcony was huge! It was lacking in decor and felt a little cold but the bed was pretty comfy! The kick back food was pretty gross but its difficult to complain about free food. It consisted of Mac n cheese, hot dogs, baked potatoes, and chicken strips the last night of our stay. The breakfast was really good though. We will go back!

Wow best place I've stayed at for a while.......

There was a choice of park your own car or have valet parking. Valet parking was easy and effortless for a fee per night. The hotel lobby was nice,clean and open with comfortable couches and chairs. The staff was very hospitable. The hotel has two buildings within each other which could be a little confusing but the staff is helpful and insures you find your room. We had a room with a balcony view on the 9th floor, facing the river and there was a nice view to the cathedral. Room suite was clean and spacious. The 5:30 kickback they have is good. 3 drink limit served in short clear plastic cups plus the choice of food is good enough for what is being served at that time. Child and pet friendly. The only thing is there is no bar. If you want to lounge at the hotel, BYOB. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Being a woman I would of preferred a bigger bathroom. But even my husband disliked it. The blind was smaller than the window, you had to close the door to get to the light switch,it was not what we expected.

Great location right on the Riverwalk and very near all the attractions. Room was very clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. Great free breakfast.

Very clean Hotel

Although the hotel earned mostly 5's from us, we thought that it was overpriced. For a family it would have been a deal due to the breakfast and hearty appetizers provided, but for us that was not something we needed, and after doing a little after-the-fact research, the price we payed was higher than we would have needed to pay for a similar facility in a similar location without all the food.

The hotel itself is very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the free breakfast every morning. The personell were very friendly. Free evening snacks and drinks were awesome. The hotel location was the only setback.

We stayed here for an anniversary trip. We could walk right onto the Riverwalk from the basement exit. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. One employee, Hector, was especially helpful with suggestions for places to eat/entertainment. The rooms were small but sufficient.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at the Drury, the free drinks at the 530 kickback and the rooftop pool and jacuzzi's were awesome!! There are beautfiul terraces located all over this hotel!! Every worker was extremely nice and said hello as you passed them by! Great location, great place to stay!!

The rooms in the San Fernando tower are wonderful. They are large and comfortable. The only downside is the maze to get to that tower. It is not easy. The location is not quite on the riverwalk. It is on the flood overflow part of the walk and a couple blocks to restaurants etc. I would recommend!

Very honest price. The morning breakfast and dinner were very helpful.

I planned a getaway with my daughters for a mom & daughter weekend & our stay at the Drury hotel on the Riverwalk was excellent, the girls and I loved it.. Staff was very friendly, the room was spacious and clean, the enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and the breakfast was very good.. We missed the kickback hour, we were exploring the riverwalk but overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, I would love to go back there!!!

Very nice restored old Bank Building on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Lots of history surrounding this building - the huge bank vaults are still in the basement and can be seen on the way to exit the building onto the Riverwalk. Lots of quaint little places to eat within walking distance, and several bars and louder places if that's what you are looking for. Riverwalk water taxi is just around the corner from the Drury.
