great property and very plush hotel. Great for the money. The only negative is: too many old people.

Had a couple of issues with this hotel. I'm not one to complain about every little thing, and take my critique with a grain of salt, I would have no problems staying here again. Location - Not easy to get to if you've never been to Lake Como. Once we figured out the ins/outs of transportation (ferries, buses, etc..), it made the location much more tolerable. The hotel is located in one of the smaller towns, so there wasn't much to actually do there. However, once we figured out how to get to the other towns easily, this became a moot point. (Though next time, we would probably stay in one of those other towns with more to do) Service - None of the receptionists spoke a lick of English, so this ended up being very frustrating. Not that I expect Italians to learn my language, as I am a guest of their country, but of the 6 different places we stayed in Italy, this was the only one where we had trouble communicating with the staff. Food - buffet style, so you eat as much as you want. Food was what you expect with a buffet, so no problems there. Needless to say, we ended up eating at other restaurants around town, some of which were outstanding!! Room - great room, very clean, great view of the lake!

It was like entering Gods waiting room. Full of grumpy English people. If you are north of 75 then you may like it otherwise stay somewhere else. The guests must take anything that is not bolted down in the hotel as only toiletries in our deluxe room were two miniscule soaps that hardly lasted one hand wash. Breakfast was crap not even a fresh glass of orange juice - it came out of a machine and was like cheap squash and most of the guests were making sandwiches for their lunch!! Was it worth the cost we paid, no way.

The hotel itself was lovely. It's true, it's a destination for an older English tour crowd, and the food is not very good. However, the location is beautiful, the staff friendly. It's a bit of a haul to get there, but you can explore all the rest of the lake cities from Griante.

The climate control in the room did not work. We melted in the room. The internet was not available. They sold out on internet cards???? We checked in on a Friday night. They would not have internet available until Monday morning. The hotel was swarming with elderly British tourists from coach tours. If this is your cup of tea, then fine. But if you want to be able to set the temperature in your room or get online, then this is not for you, Would not recommend this hotel.

Whilst we were allocated a good room with a lovely view out ver the lake, the hotel had provide two small beds better suited to a child or yung adolescent rather than an adult!! We had booked a double queen bed when making our reservation. I pointed this out to reception staff and was told that this was a standard talian bed size. However having spoken to other guestes they were in king size and other equally large beds more suited to an adult. We felt we were trying to sleep in two cam beds. Not good. The hotel staff genrally were at best moderately helpful when asked for information or advice. It was as if you were a bother to them. The hotel structure is very old and this probably does not lend itself to upgrading or modernising. A number of the Englis guestes referred to it as "Fawlty Towers" but not in an affectionate way. The location is beautiful and this helps in some way to offset the problems with staying in this particular hotel. However efforts need to be made to improve the attitude of many of the staff in terms of good customer care. Make sure when you book - that is f you decide to book - that you get a clear understanding of the bed type you will be sleeping in. Otherwise you will have a similar experience to the one we had i.e. not good!!

The hotel was beautifully situated and we had a family room overlooking the lake and Bellagio. The ferry to Bellagio was within 100 metres. We thought that the location was close to the best areas on the lake. The hotel is a little old fashioned and attracts a quite elderly clientele, however this did not detract from our two night stay as we wanted a nice clean roon to sleep in and wanted to be out the rest of the time. The hotel fitted our criteria at a good price and i would recommend it to someone with a similar outlook, but it would disappoint someone looking for something a bit special.

The hotel was everything we expected and more. It was right on the lake and 100 meters from a ferry point as well as a bus stop. The breakfast was filling even though not the best tasting. The staff were very helpful in every respect. I would stay here again immediately. great value for a 3star.

We were not aware that the hotel pool is down the street and you must purchase a swim cap to enter the pool. The pool also only open from 9 am - 6:30 pm. Do not eat at the hotel restaurant. The dinner buffet was inedible and complementary breakfast sounds good on paper but was horrible in person. The staff and decor were nice nicely appointed and the location was perfect. With the exception of the pool and the restaurant, the hotel was a nice place to stay for this price range.

This hotel is of a higher standard than most in the area and is located right on the lake front and even has a pool, but it is positioned where there is little else open except a single pizza place and a small coffee bar. What's more the hotel appears to be totally populated by hundreds of English pensioners. The food in the dining room is dire - plenty of it and plenty of choice but all overcooked and flabby - don't eat there - get the boat over to Bellagio or Veranna and there is plenty of choice of decent eating places from pizza bars to lovely restaurants.

there wasn't even one vegetable at breakfast. only fat, unhealthy, greezi food!!! eat some were else!!! second, book anther hotel for the day you live, because this hotel will throw you out at 10 am!!!!!

Hotel was fantastic. Beautiful location over looking Bellagio. free car parking and cheap upgrade to all inclusive worth doing. We are a young couple and the cliental are generally elderly but its a fantastic romantic retreat!

Wir sind sehr positiv überrascht von diesem schönen Hotel. Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, trotz des antiken Styles. Sauber, konfortabel etc. Da kommen wir gerne wieder hin. Frühstück ist standard, nicht umwerfend, aber ok.

très bon rapport qualité prix personnel très complaisant

Geniale Lage. Zimmer mit Seesicht sehr zu empfehlen. Klar, das Hotel hat bessere Tage gesehen, strömt aber noch immer Charme aus, Auch wenn es meist von englischen und deutschen Bus-touristen bevölkert wird, ist der Service und Standard, für den Preis hervorragend. Das viel gescholtene Frühstück ist bei weitem besser, als in manch teurem Schweizer Hotel! Sehr gute Restaurants in den Nähe und in den angrenzenden Ortschaften. Besonders toll das kleine Weinlokal in Tremezzo!!!

La localización del hotel es perfecta para descubrir el lago como, enfrente de Bellagio con preciosas vistas cobre él y con puerto cercano para tomar el barco a otros pueblos en el lago. El servicios es muy pobre con muy poca gente para atender un hotel con demasiados clientes. La cola en recepción es continua, el restaurante es un desastre .. En fin buen hotel mal atendido.

Das Hotel imponiert durch seine Super-Lage mit tollem Rundblick. Die Zimmer sind o.k., besonders unseres im 6. OG (trotz Ausrichtung zur Straßenseite sehr ruhig).Nur das Frühstück schreckte uns etwas ab, es war das Mieseste, was wir in den letzten Jahrzehnten geboten bekommen haben, ganz abgesehen davon wie manche Urlauber den Platz verliesen, einfach nur eklig. Da ist einem der Appetit aber gehörig vergangen. Drei-Sterne-Hotel unserer Meinung in Bezug auf den Service und Frühstück nicht angebracht!

L'hôtel est bien situé, en face de Bellagio. Nous avions une petite terrasse avec une vue superbe sur le lac et Bellagio. A une dizaine de minutes à pied, vous pouvez visiter la Villa Carlotta. Pour visiter Bellagio, il suffit de prendre un bateau (l'embarcadère se trouve à 2 minutes de l'hôtel). 3 ou 4 restaurants à côté de l'hôtel.

Das Hotel hat ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und sauber. In der ersten Nacht haben wir wahnsinnig geschwitzt, obwohl die Außentemperatur um die 12 Grad lag. Also haben wir am nächsten Morgen die Klimaanlage angestellt und auf Kühlung geschaltet. Als wir abends von unserem Ausflug zurück kamen, war unser Zimmer eine Sauna. Nach Rückfrage bei der Rezeption erfuhren wir, dass die Klimaanlage im März saisonbedingt noch ausgestellt ist und wenn man sie doch anschaltet, die Heizung aktiviert wird, ganz gleich, ob man auf kühlen oder heizen stellt. Man war nicht bereit, uns ein anderes Zimmer zu geben, obwohl das Hotel nicht ausgebucht war. Also mussten wir ca. 45 Minuten Durchzug machen, damit man in dem Raum schlafen könnte. Die deutschsprachigen Übersetzungen im Haus sind eine Katastrophe. Man sollte Italienisch oder Englisch beherrschen. Das Frühstück ist eher mäßig, der Kaffee war grausam und die Kellner sind beim Abräumen und Abwaschen der Tische wenig hygienisch. Insgesamt war es aber ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Mit ein wenig mehr Mühe und kleinen Mitteln (Hinweis zur Funktionsweise der Klimaanlage, besseres Frühstück) könnte es wirklich ein Top-Hotel zu erschwinglichen Preis sein. Der Blick über den See überzeugt.

bonne literie accueil très impersonnel et froid hotel trusté par une clientèle anglaise restauration ressemblant plus à une cantine qu'un restaurant très bien situé proche embarcadère choisir vue sur lac pour ne pas avoir de désagréable surprise climatisation inefficace

Bon rapport qualité/prix. Dommage que le personnel ne parle pas toujours italien voire anglais...

This is a hotel that once was a great hotel with beautiful decor, built on a perfect spot overlooking the lake. Today, they live on busloads of British all inclusive guests (they even have some British staff in the reception). The rooms are spacious, but not cleaned to often. The chamber maid also forgot to lock the door to our room on the second day - luckily nothing was stolen. They have a lovely terrace on he 3rd floor but you cannot sit outside and eat, which is a shame.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr schoene Aussicht nach Bellagio und ist eine gute Ausgangslage fuer den Comer See. Allerdings ist es sehr gross und daher geht das Flair etwas verloren: Das Fruehstueck hat etwas von Essen in der Cafeteria und der Cappuccino aus der Maschine ist nicht zu empfehlen. Andererseits ist das Hotel sehr sauber und die Aussicht entschaedigt fuer vieles.

Ok rooms, the hotel is undergoing renovation, will probably be OK. A hotel full of noice, both from other guests and from the renovation. Breakfast is a disaster.
