Hotel was clean but needing a good airing out. Smoke free rooms should be SMOKE FREE not just sprays with fresher. I had a headache through the night from it. Noisy bus load of kids on upper levels added to the unrest. No glass water glasses in room just styrofoam. They somehow forgot caffeinated coffee to go with coffeemaker. Breakfast room was full at 6:15 so I just passed on it. Shower head was cheapo. Structure of hotel and fixtures were nice but very lacking in other amenities to make stay nice. Movies were $15.99 !!! And $12.99. !!! If you wanted current episodes of five or so tv shows w/o commercials it was $4.99. Tv was fastened to top front edge of dresser (wasn't thought out very well) to accommodate swiveling to the lone chair in the empty side of the room.

They have the best family feeling for a small hotel. Daily they have fresh baked cookies which the kids look forward to having.

This place was great. I was there for work in D.C. so riding to the end of the subway line wasn't my absolute favorite but was well worth it in the end. I immediately got a pick up from the station. Had a large clean bedroom and all the staff were helpful. Used the workout room, had breakfast - all good.

This Country Inn and Suites was far below the numerous others that we have stayed at in the past. It is convenient to locate and breakfast was OK. Blanket-spread on bed was awful. It was exceptionally heavy and uncomfortable so I called the front desk for a lighter replacement and was told that there was no lighter blanket in the entire hotel. Shortly after falling asleep a knock on the door and someone was trying to give me another blanket exactly like the one that I had. I was so unhappy with this experience that I have removed Country Inns & Suites from my list of places to stay in the future.

Our room was very spacious and clean. The maid took the time to put our childrens stuffed animals arrainged on the bed. The kids would come back from a day of museums to see what she would do with them. Not far from Washington DC. about 15-20 min. close to other areas of interest as well. Breakfast was nice. Eggs, sausage,potatoes, waffles and more. Area was always kept clean and well stocked. Chocolate chip cookies were out at night, nice treat after a long day of museums and shopping. We used the exercise room which was small but nice and clean. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. We would definetly recommend this hotel to others.

Room was very clean and comfortable. great bargain. only issue was having to drive for food, but plenty of food within 15 minutes. Breakfast was good as far as quality and quantity.

The hotel and staff were great. Very friendly and accommodating. One night I got to the Metro station after the 9pm time for the Hotel shuttle service but the "janitor" still came straight over in the hotel van and picked me up. The staff couldn't have been more helpful!

The rooms were very nice. The parking was free & near a Metro station. The breakfasts were great. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a very pleasant stay, and the price was right. Breakfast was good, the room and the loby were clean, the shuttle to the Metro was convenient. its a very good choice, if you wish to save money compare to DC hotels.

Drove up with my son from Southwest Virginia on Saturday for the big game on Sunday with the Patriots!!. We were very pleased with the Country Inn & Suites hotel. We had reservations and the check in process literally just took the time it takes to swipe a credit card. The room was very clean and the bathrooms were some of the cleanest that I have seen in my travels. I was really surprised at the "free" breakfast that was available the next morning. Usally you get some type of danish, coffee and juice, but in addition to that they had sausage, eggs, fried potatoes and anything else you would want. Great Job, really satisfied and will stay again when I'm in the DC area!

I was very satisfied with the service and the comfort level of the hotel. We chose this hotel because it wasn't as pricey as the ones in Washington DC, and it's only a short drive to the white house/monuments/holocaust museum (about 20-25 minutes). We stayed at the Sheraton in Jersey as well and I have to say that the bed, sheets, and pillows were a lot more comfortable than the Sheraton - that says a lot!!! I recommend this hotel without a doubt and would stay there again.

Hotel was clean and quiet, staff very helpful. Only complaint is there are not many places to eat unless you live on fast food. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

It was OK for the rate. I guess our first impression wasn't great with non-patrons biking in the parking lot.

We were pleased with the price and location of this hotel to Washington DC and surrounding area. Room was clean (bed was firmer then we prefer but thats personal preference), breakfast was delicious and different every morning with eggs, sausage, french toast and then the staple items of waffles, cereal, pastries, toast, bagels. Room was good sized. Would recommend or stay here again if we were in the area.

The staff were friendly and helpfull. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Only 10 minutes walk to Metro station. Breakfast was very good.

A typical Country Inn located 10 minutes walking distance from the last stop on the MD side of the Metro. Made it very convenient for all DC tourism activities with much lower prices than inner city hotels.

Overall, very good. Staff was friendly. Location was safe. Rooms were clean and comfy. Small basic breakfast area. Only complaints: No restaurant close by within walking distance and tiny coffee cups at breakfast.

My wife and I used this motel as our base as we visited Washington DC, The shuttle service to the metro was great. The hotel was great for us. Good breakfast with meat, either sausage or bacon, each time. If we went back to Washington again we would stay here.

Hotel very nice. Only one problem, heard noise from other rooms.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. I would not return as it was much to far from the sites in DC. Breakfast was good shuttle to the metro was very fast.

Great staff and clean operations. Breakfast nook small but accommodating. Need to upgrade television. Had hard time interfacing IPod into television. No flat screen for a new hotel. Otherwise, great stay!

Not sure why everyone is saying there is nothing close by. We asked and they gave us a printed list. You go right up to Ault Rd by the Metro, down Allentown...maybe a total of 7 mins and there was shopping and places to eat. The Metro was super close. The people here are wonderful, I love the rockers on the front porch. Everything smelled nice and clean. We had a non smoking room and there was no smoke smell at all. The hall was nice and cool. Right off the freeway in a safe neighborhood. We walked home from the Metro the first day because we got back early. It took less than 10 mins. You can go all the way to Chinatown for less than 4 bucks. No reason to park and pay, they will shuttle you or you can walk with no problem. The bed was comfy and there was even extra blankets and pillows. The only complaint I could possibly have is that the air in our room didn't blow strong enough for me. My husband said it was just fine. I would highly recommend this hotel for people visiting DC. Both the nightshift and dayshift desk associates have been nothing but wonderful to us during our stay.

nice rooms, very clean, good breakfast, good service, 20 min by metro to national mall

Vert accomodating, especially during Hurricane Irene

Very nice and neat place to stay. Staffs are very nice. Breadfast was good. Breakfast area was small. 30 minutes train ride to DC attractions. No good restaurents are close by.

The hotel is aged and needs renovation. The staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast was ok. The room itself was quite clean and comfy. The surrounding area did not seem safe to walk around. Good thing was that their shuttle service to and from the metro station was really good and fast. Aside from the safety issue, the hotel is close to the metro station (just a few minutes away). From the metro station, it took less than 1/2 hr on the train to arrive at the Mall.

We had a great stay, the hotel was very clean and very easy to get to. Great hot breakfast along with some cold choices! Free shuttle to the metro which was handy! The metro was nice and close and very easy to go into Washington DC! Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful! We would definietly stay there again!

What people most look for in a hotel is, a reasonable price, and if the hotel is clean and safe. This hotel tops the charts in all areas. In addition, the staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was quite enjoyable. We stayed at this location for two nights then travelled to Virginia and stayed at another Country Inn that was just as wonderful as this one. We highly recommend Country Inns.

One of the better places we have stayed. The room was huge with two queen beds, and clean. The whole family enjoyed the stay. The hot breakfast was great - a bettter hotel would have charged over $10 pp for it. The location was convenient with shuttle to the subway nearby. Fresh coffee 24/7 in the lobby and fresh baked cookies was a bonus.

We are a family with 3 children,Room was spacious,had all the amenities needed,clean,great staff,plus only a 15 - 20 min drive to all downtown attractions.Worth the price.

Hotel room was very clean. Staff was nice and helpful. the neighborhood is appeared safe and was very convenient to both I-495 and the Branch Avenue Metro station. The M was probably about a 10 min walk, although we drove and parked there most days. It is about a 30 min ride to the Mall area, and you will have to change Metro lines. Cost for parking is about $5 for the day and about $3 for the one-way trip downtown. A few minor negatives: No Pool. Exercise room is pretty sparse, it has 4 cardio machines and nothing else. Breakfast was OK - nothing special, but the price was right :-) They shut down bfast promptly - so, don't be late. enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for a college visit in DC, It was extremely convenient as a hotel provided van ride took you to the nearby Metro station and picked you up when you called after returning. The hotel was very clean, well appointed and had a very nice hot and cold free breakfast buffet. The staff was friendly, very helpful, and respectful. We were headed to another college in the Baltimore area and we were very close to the expressway to make this easy. Would strongly encourage anyone visiting the DC area to stay here.

Excellent stay at this hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous. I enjoyed my stay here alot and will stay here everytime I am in the MD area. I even enjoyed the look of the lobby area.

While the overall cleanliness was satisfactory, there were just a few things I want to bring to your attention: 1. The breakfast area was unsatisfactory. Unclean, jammed full of chairs that were awkward to maneuver through, and the quality of breakfast was less than stellar. 2. The shower was more like a power-washer. Most uncomfortable bathroom in a hotel I've stayed in. 3. There is absolutely nothing but car dealerships and gas stations near the hotel. Sure, it was quiet, but it took time to get anywhere in the DC area.
