Courtyard Marriott San Salvador - سان سلفادور

In general is fine but in the front desk the lady who did our check in was terrible...definitely this hotel have to select better staff at the front desk. Before was excellent team in the front desk but now is terrible... In the restaurant the staff is great are very efficient and friendly. The location is pretty nice near of everything in walking distance and safe in general. I'm a frequently customer but I do not agree with the new team of staff in the front desk.

Stayed from March 28 - April 1 in two rooms. Hotels is situated right next door to a very beautiful mall called La Gran Via the mall has all the big name brands stores. Check in was pretty easy. Staff was friendly. We went to the bar restaurant a few time with my nephew and father and it was good food. Waiter Gerardo was very nice saw him the four days working straight but he would say the same line everyday to us as if he didn't remember us. That I guess was funny. But he was great. I would definitely come back.

This Marriott is nicely located near an interesting urban development model--pleasantly situated between good and upscale. The hotel is nice and clean, the staff exceptionally friendly--case in point, I was sitting in the lobby, some distance from the bar, and the manager walked out of his way to see if I wanted anything...same for all the staff. The "Estilo de Vida" located across the way was clean and vibrant, with lots of El Salvadorians (vs. tourists:) and an array of restaurants, including a wonderful Peruvian one, several coffee places, a salon, etc. I was only there for two days so my review is a bit limited but a good experience!

Our stay was amazing at this hotel as we only booked for 2 nights and we ended up extending another 4 days because we were having such a fun time, If you want to be steps away from european style shopping and awesome restaurants this is the place. The staff I don't even have words to explain how they bent over backwards to help us get around. Simply a beautiful clean hotel which i will back next trip for sure.

Location is excellent, a little noisy on weekends because of the mall, but it dies down around 11pm. The staff is the most professional and capable staff I have ever met. This usually reflects excellent management. I lost my wedding ring, as soon as I informed the staff they had the room searched up and down (I was checking out on my way to the airport). I left the hotel. An employee caught up to me on the parking lot to fill out the lost and found form and took the transport's cell phone number. Less than 10 minutes later the driver received a call that my ring had been found. Driver turned around and we picked up the ring. Only mark down was due to having a bad air conditioning and not nets on windows to prevent mosquitoes from entering the room (so you could not leave the window open).

Everyone in this hotel is super nice & friendly. The breakfast buffet is great. The quality of rooms is great, and it is next to a shopping plaza, mall & movie theater. My only real complaint is that I'm a wheelchair user and the "accessible room" has a bathtub, not a roll-in shower. Otherwise, great place! I would definitely go back to El Salvador and the hotel for the kindness of its people.

The staff was very helpful and courteous, from the security guy to the cleaning lady. No negatives there. Close to many sights including the three malls that are next to each other. Breakfast was great many usual local recipes, although more options would be great. Room was clean. The funny thing was I asked for a room that would overlooked the volcano, but there was a huge tree blocking the view. Very comical. Amenities are good. Rates are good on the weekends.

Great hotel, good area. JUST DO NOT order food from the bar especially the Pizza. TERRIBLE, trust me. Staff is great!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgable. You can't beat the location. Everything is nearby.

Great hotel, great location.

I have stayed three or four times in the Courtyard Marriott in San Salvador. The hotel itself has all you would expect of such a hotel. The attitude and friendliness of the staff is excellant. One of the best features is not even the hotel itself, buts it's location next to the Gran Via shopping Center. This is a meeting and social area for many in San Salavdor and the music' lights and festivities ensure most enjoyable evenings. there are more plush (and expensive) hotels in San Salvador, but no better place to stay in my view.

muy buen hotel lo único malo es que no tiene room service y ademas no se permite ni el early check-in ni mucho menos el late check-out...

El hotel se encuentra muy bien ubicado, la limpieza es exelente, los desayunos muy buenos y lo mas especial es la amabilidad y atencion del personal del hotel...estan solos... Viaje en compañia de mi esposa y la pasamos...PURA VIDA...

Mi esposa y yo queremos agradecer a todos los empleados del hotel que nos prestaron su mas fina atencion en nuestra estadia en San Salvador. Muchisimas gracias y que Dios les bendiga.

I guess, by the standards of the city it is well located. Don't just stay in the shopping malls that you can easily walk to from it, though (even after they open the promised Starbucks in a few weeks, these will still just be Mexico City-style shopping malls). You can take a cab to the Art Museum for five bucks (takes about 10 minutes or less) and enjoy a surprisingly nice local art retrospective. The Anthropology Museum nearby (you can walk between the two) is also worth it, though not as nicely done or well-maintained. As for the hotel itself, the only drawback is the mediocre breakfast buffet (don't even think eating there before 9 AM - they halve the price after that). For real Salvadorean fair go to Margoth: pupusas are, actually, worth it, however much the Mariott's cooks will try to convince you of the converse. Otherwise, a neat hotel, and the location could be a lot worse.
