stayed at motel 6 comming from reno for a event it served its pupose but could have been a little cleaner

One of the best Motel 6s I have ever stayed in ! Was told it started life as a Super 8 as the architecture and construction are VERY un-Motel 6. Interior rooms,two story BUT NO elevator. Near-but not TOO near- freeway and newly remodeled Denny's right across street. LOTS of other food choices VERY close. Great place-highly recommended !

I needed a place to stay for a week that was affordable in the Auburn area and this was the cheapest. Place is maintained and very clean. Free internet was fast, when I checked in, because they saw I was staying a whole week they asked if I wanted a refrig and a microwave-nice! Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend the place.

Overall, for what I paid, I was satisfied with this hotel. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, as I was new to the area. There's a Denny's and a Mexican restaurant across the street. There are also other restaurants, shops and gas stations nearby. I did have a small problem with the smoke detector which the desk clerk quickly resolved by moving me into another room.

I had a great experiance with the friendly staff at Auburn. I ended up sening my resume and applying for job there because the staff was so friendly. I would be honored to work there with the staff I encountered. I am planning to move to auburn so I can wok at the motel 6 because the experiance was that enjoyabl for me.

Loved this hotel. Great location, lady at the front desk very helpful and cheerful. The room is very well lit, light switch has a motion sensor, very nice clean room, nicely decorated, comfortable bed, double pain windows...this Motel 6 deserves three stars. I will definitely return to this property.

I travel for a living, and this hotel far exceeded my expectations at the price offered.

nicely kept, friendly, very quite

The railroad tracks are directly behind the hotel and it blasts its horn every time it goes past which is frequently all night. Also, people in rooms on both sides of me were partying loudly and going in and out of their rooms slamming the door every time literally all night long. The front desk did nothing about it. I got absolutely no sleep. I would never stay there again.

The room was clean, but was surprised that no shampoo was in the bathroom. Had to ask at the front desk for shampoo. While watching television, the motion sensor lights turned off about every 15 minutes. This was a nuisance.

Felt like a little prison...is the bed clean? hard to tell

I was traveling with two little pug dogs and stayed at this Motel 6. The staff could not have been friendlier. They were very nice to my dogs and the room was clean and well air-conditioned. The rooms are somewhat small but they are very comfortable. Except for the train whistle at 4 am my stay was very comfortable. Again a special mention about the courteous and helpful staff, they were great.

This hotel is better than most Motel 6's as it was originally a different hotel. However, the rooms have no microwave or frig and the internet is PAINFULLY slow!! No contintinental breakfast either. Rooms are clean and location is good.

Did not expect too much from the place and they sure did not exceed my expectations. The bedding was very worn and when I pulling up the bedspread I swear I heard it tear, You could see daylight in multiple spots in the blackout drapes so not real effective. We brought our own pillows which was a very good thing since the pillows in the room wear as worn as everything else. This place is in bad need of a redo. on the plus side they were very convenient to I80 and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. All in all it was about what I expected no frills and marginally acceptable cheap lodging for a night.

Was a nice hotel for the price.

Clean, quiet. Near lots of fast food operations. Hot tub. No breakfast, Free internet works.

There is no shampoo, alarm clocks, or breakfast, this is a cheap place to get a good nights sleep with coffee in the lobby. But no frills

This was my third stay at Motel 6 in Auburn (I have family nearby that I visit). The rooms are quite comfortable and have the added convenience of a small refrigerator and microwave. Although I've never used it, the pool is a nice addition. The free coffee in the morning was welcome. My only complaint was that I had requested a non-smoking room and my room still had a slight smell of smoke.

The handicapped room we requested only had one bed when I have asked for two. There wasn't enough electricial outlets in the room to plug in my Mom's scooter, concentrator and my laptop. We hadn't been in the room two hours when the sink came loose from the granite top and fell down and to the left. There wasn't another handicapped room available so we were left without a sink PERIOD. When I brought this to the desks attention I was told the mainteneance man would fix it the next day. The desk personnal were helpful with two extra pillows and towels. I had to sleep sitting upright in the chair with no blanket, but I got by. I was charged for the use of the refrigerator that wasn't listed on the ad on-line. All in all my Mom and Sister rested okay, I didn't but I was able to be in Auburn at 9am for my Grand Daughter's Graduation from Placer High.

Very noisy! The clientel was "shady". We were probably in a pet room, because we had a dog, but the room smelled bad when we arrived. Very flat pillows, old linens that wouldn't stay on the bed, no shampoo, no in-room info. for surrounding restaurants. We were called at 1am, woken up when we were finally able to get a little sleep, and accused of being noisy when it was the people below us!

very nice room. it was nicer than I thought it would be. I didn't get a receipt for my stay though, and I still need one.

This motel location is very convenient. Restaurants are within walking distance. The room was clean and had numerous convenient outlets for recharging phones and computers. The staff was very friendly.

What's really nice is all the rooms are inside (no outdoor entryways). The bed and linens are not very comfortable, not a great TV, very few amenities. But it's a Motel 6! Perfect for a quick stay before the rest of your trip. Plus, Auburn is so great you wouldn't want to spend much time at the motel anyway!

Location and price were what drew me to this hotel. The hotel was clean, and for the most part pleasantly quiet. The rooms are no frills simple, but they are clean. You get what you pay for here, and I felt lucky to get a bar of soap in my room. I like the free internet, even if it was painfully slow. An alarm clock would have been nice. I will use this hotel 6 again.

Hotel was dirty, sketchy and seemed un-secure. If you are looking for a 2-star hotel in Auburn, keep looking. I travel frequently and this particular hotel left a lot to be desired even in light of its rating and price.

This hotel was pretty clean,except the shower head which I cleaned myself. The room was pretty much bare minimum but what we expected for the price. They do allow smoking in the hotel and you can smell it in the halls, so if you can't handle that I wouldn't recommend it. The guy at the front deck was super friendly and helped us quickly. However, in the morning the maids were talking so loud and slamming doors they woke us up. Then to make it worse a maid didn't knock and tried to open our door. When I yelled for her to stop she didn't hear me because she was so busy being loud and disruptive and chatting with the other maid. She tried the door several times and still did not understand,luckily we had the dead bolt locked. Finally,my boyfriend opened the door and told her we were trying to sleep. She apologized. After that we complained to the woman at the front desk. She tried to apologize but told us that the maid is very old and can't speak English. She also said that the maids eyes are bad and she can't read the chart to see if a room is occupied. I told her it wasn't an excuse and to please talk to her. She told me that she is old and she doesn't want to be disrespectful.I told her that the maid is being paid and it doesn't matter if she is old, she needs to not be barging in on people. Also there was another maid there who could have read the chart but she was too busy talking too.I told her we would not stay there again and she offered us a discount next time. With a discount or not we won't be going back. Honestly, if your maids are not able to do their jobs, maybe they shouldn't be working there. I want to stress that it takes a lot for us to complain, but this pushed us. There seems to be a management issue that needs to be dealt with. However,if you want a place to have fun and not really sleep this may work for you, but not for us.

The motel was super clean and the front desk person was very friendly and helpful. He asked us if we wanted the ground floor or 2nd floor and then asked if I wanted the pros and cons....which was sweet. The room was fine. I mean it was a motel 6, not a Hilton, but it was a good motel 6. It is conveniently located by the highway which also equals highway noise but not enough to keep us up. I would stay there again and I would recommend. Well worth the cost of the stay.

Convenient and easy to find. Very comfortable and very clean. Definitely the best 2 star hotel we've stayed at.

we needed a place just to flop-we were going to a wedding, and spent just enough time to sleep. therefore we didn't need all the amenities. there was just a tv-and phone.the beds ok. if you stay here, bring your own shampoo, kleennex and stuff. They only supply soap. I liked the shower-it had plenty of hot water, and a shower head that actualy worked. most upper end inns don't. I have'nt found one yet that I could say that about! the desk clerk was very frendly-had a good stay.

I was disappointed to discover that there was no elevator in the the hotel/motel. the pool was ok. Small, but enjoyable. The hot tub/spa on the second night was a little disappointing. The water level was particularly low. I was hoping to have a small referator in the room as I have meds that need referigerated. But the room was ok, the bathroom was enjoyable. I did find the service quite good.

I only needed a room, but I am sure if their are any special needs you have, they can provide it. A restaurant is across the street. They are pet-friendly, and I stayed in a room that was handicap-accessible (complete with emergency switch and shower handrails).

This facility was beyond my expectation in over all cleanliness and appearance.

I had to ask for another room after the air conditioner broke. The second room was cleaner but the air conditioner kept waking me as it went on and off. The bed was not the most comfortable. The service was friendly and accommedating and the overall look of the place was nice. The location was also convienent. Only one star for this place.
