Riverside Inn - Cayce - كيسي

The front door did not close easily because the added card key mechanism was not installed nicely. Seemed like it could use a good scrubbing, or maybe it was just old. Carpet seemed newer. Easy chair was falling apart. I needed a quick place to stay to pack up and move a student back home for the summer. Guys would probably find the place OK, gals probably not.

It was super cheap and really close to downtown. Yea it's old, but we were just going to be sleeping there. I suggest bringing your own towels because they were really tiny and thin. Also bring your own pillow if you're picky about that sort of thing like I am. Otherwise, it was what we needed. Didn't care about the condition of the pool, the mini put put or the free breakfast.

Nothing special to report, it's a basic place and dated, but it's convenient and reasonably priced.

This is an older hotel but the rooms and beds were clean. Good continental breakfast. Good price for an overnight stay.

The Riverside Inn is a very old hotel and it shows but the staff is great and the rooms are very clean

stayed few nights while visiting USC. Convenient location, no issues, clean overall. I wish the carpet did not smell as strongly, but given the price/location, this is not something that would prevent me from staying there again

The pool is not in operable condition. The water was green sludge. The breakfast was suffiecient. If we need to stay in Columbia in that area again, we will definitely go back. It was perfect for a clean, cheap, safe place to stay the night.

Riverside Inn in Cayce (Columbia), SC was our fourth stop on our spring break college visit road trip. This hotel is fine for a short overnight stay. The lobby and desk area looks dated and smells smoky, but the desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the first floor on the opposite end of the hotel and was a large room in fine shape. We had trouble locating light switches, but once we found them all the lights worked well. The pool was not yet open, as it was early April. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, as it was in an area off the hotel lobby and smelled smoky. Instead, we ate breakfast at Denny's before heading to campus for a tour.

Needed a place to stay for a Convention just down the street. The location was convenient and the hotel itself wasn't bad. The floors in the rooms upstairs seem to be sinking however. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff was friendly.

Afred Hitchcock's Bates Motel. Run down,scary, shhets were clean. Internet did not work, pool green, old TV, poor reception. My dog had trouble sleeping there. Regular clients outside drinking beer next to my room.

Cheap price was delivered, but room was sparten, beds were hard, blanket and covers were thin. Shower did not drain at all- meant to tell front desk but forgot .(room 127 i think) and lamp did not work. On the plus side- front desk was pleasant and helpful, and breakfast was free! (Area between front desk and breakfast room smelled sour.)

Ms. Ginger was very nice and accommodating. The furniture is old and not up to date, the bathroom light or closet light did not work. The room wasn't necessarily dirty but didn't feel clean either. I made sure to disinfect everything before I touched anything. The plus side was that the bed was very comfortable but I only slept on the top of the bed because they did not have a fitted sheet on the mattress nor did the sheets look very clean. Basically, you get what you pay for. If you are not picky and literally only spending time to sleep - this may be an option for you.

Overall, this hotel offers nothing more than a close location to downtown Columbia. We were glad for the coffee pot in the room until we noticed there was no coffee. The bath tub was clean but did not drain - each family member was up to their calves in tub water with their showers. Worst of all are the paper thin walls and cieling. Other guests arrived at 1am directly above us. We could hear every footstep as they apparently "settled in". It sounded like a herd of elephants checked in and stomped above us for 45 minutes. Front desk staff at check in seemed timid and weirded out. Staff at check out didn't even ask about the stay and seemed unconcerned about the plumbing issue. Didn't bother to stay for the free breakfast. - can only imagine what the quality would have been.

Location is great, outside is neat and well kept, rooms are dated but clean and large. Clerk at check-in was civil at best, clerk at check-out was friendly. Close to USC and downtown Columbia but off the beaten path and quiet.

The motel is convenient to Carolina Stadium and downtown Columbia. Nice continental breakfast.

OK, It's not new construction, but more than adequate. Convenient for special event. Great Bed, Clean and well furnished. I'll return. Same room at the Hilton, roughly $200.00 Sleep Well !

This hotel was nice. It was a great place to stay for the night while enjoying St. Patrick's Day in Columbia.

The Riverside Inn is a small, rather quaint little hotel right on the outskirts of Columbia. It is easily accessible from downtown Columbia or the campus of USC. It is very affordable for those not looking to spend much money. With the lower rates, comes lower expectations. While the hotel is not horrible, it does not have all the amenities that a large, established hotel has. As I say that, I enjoyed my stay. It is for people that just need a place to lay their head for a night or two. They have one and two bedroom options; smoking and non-smoking options; up and downstairs. Always a plus is the continental breakfast that I definitely enjoyed to get my day started. The front-desk service was great. There is definitely an emphasis on customer service there. Now, for those who value aesthetics and decor, this is not the hotel for you. The bed linens, curtains, and shower lining are not really pleasing to the eye. In fact, some of the shower linings were a bit dingy and faded. I believe that they were clean, but some of them need to be replaced. Also, some of the rooms don't have microfridges. That was a problem for me a few times. Also, you have to ask for an iron. They are not placed in every room. All things considered, for the rate of the hotel it is a good deal for the average person that is not too particular. That is just my take.

Very close to USC and although it is an older hotel it was clean and comfortable and I felt safe there. Very friendly staff, great price!

Nothing special but good enough for short stay, bath very small

Everything about this hotel which is a suburb of Clumbia was great. The staff very friendly. breakfast great . room large and very clean. beds comfortable and it was close to everything

Great staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again as you cannot beat the price.

The room smelled, the carpet was stained, the shower curtain was moldy, and the pillows were covered in a thick plastic-something an inmate might use.

This hotel is very convenient to downtown Columbia; the price was right. A little dusting of the room would have been appreciated but overall it was a pleasant two night stay and I would stay there again.

This "inn" was disgusting. Do not stay there! The pool was green. The walls are paper thin. The woman who checked us in said she was giving us a room with a balcony that overlooks the Mexican restaurant next door; like that was a plus?! The continental breakfast was pathetic. I was scared enough staying there that I put a chair up against the door as a safety precaution.

Although hotel was very convenient to get to from williams brice stadium, beds were rock hard and the rooms, lobby, and breakfast place stunk. I dont recommend staying here.

My son stayed there over the weekend he said that everyone was nice and he enjoyed his stay he was visiting my other son who is a student there in Columbia ,I know when I'm in town next month that's the place where I will stay . Thank you so much for all that u do to make our stay a great place to come back to he really enjoyed it

Overall in comparison to other Motel 6's and Super 8's I was very comfortablle. Ginger, a receptionist, was very, very helpful and comfortable to communicate with. The hotel is1 minute from Columbia just over the bridge, Awesome. I went to a weekend convention and this was so very convenient. Not perfect so don't expect a palace and it is not bad either. It's all in what a person is expecting and how critical

The Riverside is a working man's Motel. Convenient to Columbia yet not pricey like downtown places. Pool and grounds are kept neat and clean. The rooms are fine but not top of the line. Old time wooden upper floors do allow walking noices from above.

just an old hotel that is in severe need of updating!

we were not satisfied the room was run down and smelled bad there was mildew on the shower curtain dried tooth paste on the counters in bathroom there was only one ice machine located down stairs the b breakfast was poor one flavor muffin one flavor bagal or special k cereal i will never stay here agian and would never recomend this hotel to any one

The only issues I had was the door was hard to open and close completely...otherwise no worries. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good.
