Complimentary breakfast lacks fruit - has donuts instead. Orange juice is available. Tacky morning TV show in breakfast room. Only 1 key given for room. Otherwise OK. A little over 1 mile from Amtrak station in Wells. About 1 mile to Footbridge on seashore, about 2 miles to Marginal Way, Ogunquit's long walkway that overlooks ocean's rocky shore. Tacky gift stores in Wells and Ogunquit area.

Very clean room and rug. Simple and comfortable. Stairs only to second floor. Friendly staff. Near lots of cool stuff. I was there in early May so if was very quiet. I am a non smoker and my room did not smell of smoke or pets. Bed was comfortable. Everything I needed from a motel.

It was average. We left early about 6:45 am and the office for breakfast was still closed and from what I saw it looks like a skimpy breakfast. So we went out.

Surprisingly well laid out room with some recent updates. Very comfortable, clean and within close distance of all South Maine attractions.

After requesting no stairs because of wife's disability we were at first given a second floor room with stairs. After requesting again for a first floor room were given one. Motel needs remodeling, very dated.

I thought that the bedding could have been better. C'mon, cigarette burns in the sheets and comforter? Really? I have stayed in worse, but I can't say that this is the Ritz, by any means. Two great things were: working A/C and trolley ride into Ogunquit.

Upon arrival, our room was marginally cleaned. The bathroom was not cleaned at all and the carpet not vacuumed. The room had an obnoxious heavy cheap perfume smell. They must replace their cleaning agents with a more neutral scent. For the price they charge per night everything in the room needs updating (e.g. décor, old furniture & mattress, sinks and fixtures, including the airconditioning unit that kept freezing up. There were no blinds on the sliding doors, so when you open the curtains to let the daylight in, there is no privacy! The entire room is open to people walking by. After we complained about the condition of the room, the cleaning service did a more acceptable job the following day, except for the smell. On a positive note, the location of the hotel is within reasonable driving distance to Wells and Ogunquit beaches. The footpath to the beach is much too far to walk unless you're training for the marathon.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean. We did not take advantage of the free breakfast as we "slept in" and were not quite ready to make it before 10 AM. We missed having a lamp near the beds. Couldn't really read in bed, Bathroom sink needs some attention. Some of the tile was rusted out. O ur chairs in the room were comfortable but lost their comfort level after an hour or so.

10-15 minute walk to nice beach. Basic room, beds pretty small to share. Has gas grills available. Free breakfast.

Basically, we used the hotel for sleeping only. Extremely outdated and the wifi did not work in the rooms. It looked like they cut the blanket in half and placed it over the sheet. The one bright spot was that the room was clean.

Location is everything in between everything Ud want to see trolley goes Basicly everywhere I believe for very very cheap staff was attentive and quick to clean up after you pool was alright just wish they kept it open later

Enjoyed the pool, bar b q area, open space for kids& dogs, breakfast place

My wife and have been traving for the pass two weeks. We have stayed at many hotels/motels and paid the same money at your place and we were not happy. You need to work on new bedding,lamps and shower heads.

You get what you pay for with this hotel. Overall, it was ok. The room had a heavy perfume/chemical smell from the cleaning products/detergents. The mirror in the bathroom was too low as was the shower head. And the ceiling paint was peeling a bit. For just a place to rest your head, not bad for the price. The grounds seemed nice, but we didn't really utilize any of the ammenities. They had a basketball hoop, several grills and the pool area seemed nice. There was no wifi, which was a bummer.

If you are looking for place pleasant & clean to stay and don't need a DVD, hottub or flatscreen tv in your room to survive, this is great ... our room was clean, bright and cheery , as well as amazingly quiet ... could not even hear the people in the adjacent unit . Nice shared picnic/BBQ/firepit area , nice pool , very pleasant staff ... would definitely stay again !!! Small fridge & coffee maker, no microwave or hairdryer ... very convenient to beaches, shopping, restaurants .

Although the hotel was a little outdated, the service was good, the breakfast was great, and only a mile from the beach. Pool, tennis court, excellent grilling area, and even a community fire pit. Over all, great for the price.

The front desk personell were friendly and accomodating. I mentioned to housekeeping that the coffee maker was not working and a maintenance worker overheard me and insisted he take care of the situation immediately. The grounds were well maintained and plenty of area to relax outdoors without being crowded with other guests. The rooms need major updating but are very clean. Very quiet. Hair dyers not in room but office will provide one on request. A great brew pub/restaurant abutting property so a easy walk. I would stay here again

The staff was great, friendly. Location was excellent. Could be a little more updated for some, but for us and the money, it was fine. Like stepping back in time a little, but this area is like that. If you want a little more romance you may want the upper end rooms or a fancier motel. Not many hotels. We would, will return.

It was a nice stay for the money

okay until we discovered no one cleaned our room on the first morning after we checked in. re: comfort: a few hooks in the bathroom would have been useful, or at least more towel bars.

Arrived for check in 2hrs early and had no problems. We were made very welcome. Just outside Ogunquit town which is much more expensive but only a few minutes drive away. Had lunch in the Post Road Tavern a couple of minutes walk away, back toward Ogunquit. Fabulous burger with sweet potato fries...Unless you are very brave dont try the Toxic Waste wings which are mega hot....a customer there told us he had ONE the night before and thought he had to call an ambulance...If you can eat 12 you get them free + a tee shirt. Complimentary breakfast at the Majestic is served in a funny little 'shed' on the site..which is a bit shabby but clean. Muffins, cereals, donuts, pastries, bagels, toast, juice,coffee, tea, milk...all serve yourself and plentiful. Great place to stay for the cost which is very reasonable.

The pictures online made it look a lot better than it actually was. The pool was a dark green, the grills in the middle of the property looked like something you would see in a trailer park, there were no amenities in the room (shampoo, etc) and the toilet seemed like it was going to collapse while on it. The staff was friendly though. I guess you get what you pay for. I would not stay here again.

We loved it! It was reasonably priced, the room was spotless, and the continental breakfast was a nice touch. It's close enough to the beach and shopping to be very convenient, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

You don't expect much for the amazing good price yet we have found all the rooms freshly painted, bathroom modernized and very clean. It includes a 'fridge and coffee maker with a hair drier on loan from the front office. The grounds are wonderful with tennis courts, swimming pool and several nice BBQs plus picnic tables. The breakfast is a bit campy with a sign "two donuts per guest". That amuses us but others seem happy with two donuts. There is cold cereal, toast, bagels, etc. No complaints here as we pick up fruit at the market. Sight seeing, restaurants near by.

The hotel was clean and affordable. Very close to the attractions I was interested in visiting.

I got a great deal on hotels.com and was very pleased with the hotel and the staff. They made every effort to help us and to make our stay wonderful, We had a room with no extras and we wanted to cook out at the provided bbq's and they let us borrow cooking utensils to do so. The pool was clean as were the rooms. A bit older but quiet and comfortable. The trolly picked you up out front and was a great asset as parking at the beaches were expensive. You could go to Wells Beach or Ongonquit Beach as well as Perkins Cove, by trolly(low cost each per ride). A great place I wood definetly recommend it for families.

The staff are very friendly and willing to help in anyway. We arrived 3 hours before check in and had to only wait 10 minutes to get into our room. That allowed us to relax at the pool which was very nice. The location is convenient to everything and the trolly brought us back and forth to the wedding we were attending so we didn't have to drive.

This hotel is the most disgusting and filthy hotel I have ever seen in all of my travels! The room was dingy, dark and completely out dated. We had to wear our shoes the entire time because of the nasty film and sand that was all over the carpet. I’m not even sure that the room was cleaned before we arrived. I cannot believe the amount of money they charge for staying in such a dump! The ONLY good thing about the Majestic Regency was that it was located at very beginning of the Ogunquit Trolley run so you could escape your horrific room and go to Perkins Cove. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone in my life! Complete disappointment!

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The pool was great. The hotel is an older hotel but was nice and priced very reasonable. Room was spacious and clean.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2011. Decent room, only issue was that the door wouldn't lock. Light bulb was out, but maintenance arrived within 15 minutes with a replacement. Breakfast was good Lawn had a lot of antholes unfortunately, which worried me a little since we had a toddler. Pool, tennis court and volleyball net available which seemed great for families with slightly older kids. Also, they have grills available for cooking. Overall I think it's good value especially for families that may be interested in taking advantage of any of the above facilities.

Overall, my husband and I felt that we certainly got what we paid for. It isn't the fanciest, but certainly isn't run-down either. The biggest thing that I hated about the hotel was that there aren't any bolt locks on the doors...just a push lock. I'm one of those people that uses ALL locks in hotels so I didn't feel very secure, my husband on the other hand felt plenty secure. Also, the bathroom was really small and you could barely move in it. The door didn't shut all the way either so as newlyweds, we bonded a little more in our relationship. But again....we paid a very good price for 3 nights in Wells. Like I said, it's not a run-down, crummy hotel by any means. It could just easily use some maintenance work and updates.

I would not stay there again. There were holes in the bureau, the shampoo dispenser in the bathroom was torn off the wall. My husband found a condom in the night stand draw. It was overpriced for what we got. There was a breakfast included and there was a sign saying 2 donuts per guests, very tacky!!! That sums up this place TACKY!!!

My wife and I were attending a wedding in the York Beach area and found the Majestic Regency to be an affordable and pleasant option. We really appreaciated the free breakfast each morning - the best donuts ever!!!

This motel was not majestic nor regent. The room entry was a sliding door and when we first walked in it reeked of mildew. The bathroom was dirty with cobwebs on the ceiling. The decor is extremely outdated. The carpet was so filthy my kids feet were black after walking on it with no shoes! We also found a used band-aid under one of the beds. The mattresses were horrible and the blankets were gross. The continental breakfast consisted of boxes of cereal, a few loaves of bread and donuts (which I have to admit were tasty). I would not stay here again if someone paid me to.

For an old place it was nicely updated (although we are not super fussy) and well taken care of. The room was comfortable and a good value for the area. I did take exception to the fact that the cleaning people didn't pull the door tight shut after their work. Fortunately we had no valuables in the room and everything was OK although the TV wasn't working quite as well as it had the first night. I had to tighten the cable connections. The wireless internet is below par (1 bar) but we were able to use it in our room. We had been told it would be fine for us to sit in the office where the signal is strong if it was a problem.

Everything was fine about this hotel except that the room smelled terrible. I would not stay there again.
