Great stay! Great location in Tra Lee! Be sure to enjoy their restaurant! Affordable and absolutely amazing.

Wonderful staff, super comfortable room just had problem finding the hotel!

We had to move from our first room due to a constantly running cistern then the second room had no plug in the sink (not that it needed it because when you let the water run more than 30 seconds the sink filled up anyway). We were also very disappointed with the bar menu - while the hotel spa was advertising a loose weight / get healthy programme - the bar menu was distinctly lacking in anything healthy. I went with the least fatty looking option described as smoked salmon penne in a light tomato sauce but when it came it was swimming in oil. We ate out the next two nights!

Enjoyable with no dislikes.

In Tralee for marathon St Patricks weekend. Race start was very close and early hotel breakfast was appreciated.Great choice and quality of food. Bar food the night before was also very good. I reported plughole in bathroom sink was blocked about 7.30am Saturday. I checked out at lunchtime Sunday and it still was blocked so all teeth cleaning, hand washing and shaving had to be done in bath or shower.!!! The mattress protector was plastic backed for young children or the very elderly and it was so unbelievably sweaty I had to take it off. The sheets didn't fit the fabulous thick mattress and barely tucked in. The lcd panel on the air conditioning/heating unit didn't work so it wasn't possible to regulate the room environment as you couldn't see what the settings were , so it was just turned off and the window left open. Otherwise the room was very spacious with a great bathroom with separate shower and bath. The hotel does have a spa but not a pool, although there is a recreational childrens' pool nearby.

Hotel was beautiful, staff were friendly, breakfast was huge and very tasty.

The room was comfortable. Not exactly as nice as I was expecting but clean and comfortable. No real complaints. Would stay again but might not pay as much next time.

We had a very relaxing stay Carlton Hotel service was excellent, room was comfortable, views were spectacular . I would recommend the Hotel.

Good things: Check-in and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful Bad things: (1) Hotel in general is not cleaned properly. Tables carry ring marks and some grease, carpet in room had a poorly cleaned vomit stain, walls had some dirty splash marks which hadn't been wiped / repainted (2) Despite the fact that hotel was not busy, we were placed in a room with occupied adjoining room - the door between the two was not sufficient and we could hear every word from the couple in the next room (3) We switched off our room air con but still woke up feeling especially groggy and throaty, both mornings (4) Bathroom towel rail was loose, nearly falling off - it's obviously not being checked (6) quite a bit of litter outside main front door, doesn't seem to be on anyone's to-do list to clean it up

The Carlton Hotel in Tralee is a lovely hotel with very accomodating staff. There is ample parking. Rooms are spacious, scrupiously clean and very comfortable. There was no noise in the hotel either from the corridors or from other rooms.We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at the Carlton.

Group of four all enjoyed our stay

Nice, clean, only problem was the wi-fi....difficult to access...need 4 different words 12 hrs...nd not within walking distance to anything, so had to use a taxi

Top Class. Good Food. Great Room. Great Service.No fruit or water on 2nd or 3rd night

While happy with the overall layout and cleanliness of the hotel (and I must admit the bed was wonderfully comfortable) we were disappointed in two things: The first gripe is small but smacked of lack of attention to detail: even though the room was booked for two people there was only one bath robe and there was no shower cap for a lady traveller which in this case was very inconvenient. The more serious gripe was the shocking delays in breakfast service. I have never experienced as poor a service in any hotel in any country. Because of demand food had run out - there were no juices, there were queues at the hot plates for trays that were empty, what food that was left was tepid, the staff seemed either overwhelmed or uninterested in resolving the issues and clearly the kitchen team were massively under resourced. Really bad experience for something that otherwise would have been quite good.

The hotel was easy to find, in the county we wished to visit and it offered king size beds. Our room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. It included a breakfast buffet.

I would have actually expected standards to be less than perfect during the Rose of Tralee given the huge amount of visitors staying but on the contrary the stay was fantastic. Some noise of course but that was to be expected. Food was excellent at all sittings and staff could not have been nicer. Definitely would go back.

Everything about our stay in this hotel was spot on except for the fact that we were allocated a room with a bathroom for disabled patrons. My problem with that was that being a very tall person the sink was very low and the shower was much too low. I do understand that the hotel was busy but I would have expected and appreciated being advised in advance as we would not have taken this room, and especially at the rate we paid.

Comfortable stay. location suited us to travel to Dingle,Killarney and do the ring of Kerry. Lovely selection of buffet - hot and cold - for breakfast. Family oriented hotel which was great with a toddler in tow

Clean,comfortable,helpful friendly staff.Restaurant good,very good breakfast.Room wifi bad, but ask for isdn cord at front desk no problem.Lots of free parking.overall best place we stayed on our trip. Americans will miss face clothes in bath as with all the hotels & B and B's we stayed at in Ireland.Short drive to center of town,6 Euro all day lot near town recommended easy walk to town center,can leave and return same day with slip displayed on dash.Won,t be disappointed.

Stayed over for a wedding, Room lovely, good size room very clean - could not fault the staff or the hotel - great night had by all

Good roomy hotel, with high standards. Would prefer to have Wi-fi access in the bedroom, than just at reception

The Carlton Tralee was a very nice hotel. 6 of us stayed there for 1 night and we all enjoyed our stay. Only possible complaint that I could think of would be view at the front of hotel which isn't he most scenic but the hotel itself is very nice.

War alles perfekt!

Un excellent hôtel à 2 pas du centre ville de Tralee. Rien à redire, tout était parfait, un rapport qualité/prix très au-dessus de la moyenne, un personnel sympathique, une chambre vaste et silencieuse. que du bonheur ! ah si j'oubliais, une petite remarque : qu'on soit obligé d'aller au rez de chaussée pour capter internet, mais c'est vraiment le seul point négatif de notre séjour de 2 nuits.

Saubere, hübsch eingerichtete Zimmer. Sehr schönes Ambiente in der Empfangshalle. Freundliches Personal. Essen auch sehr empfehlenswert. Nur Tralee als Ort hat uns nicht sehr zugesagt.
